### "Honest Jira experience"

I have been using Jira for approx 7 months, at begining I did not really like it, because I did not understand it well, and it was really complex. But after some time I really started to like it a lot. Because thanks to it our work is very well organized.

Pros

When you learn how to use Jira at its maximal potential, it really proves to me as a powerfull tool.

Cons

Fairly complex at first, it takes time to master using Jira. The learning curve is probably the biggest downside.

Jira is the perfect software for project management, particularly for agile projects. PM's and BA's have access to workflows that can be customized and real-time collaboration for teams of all sizes. Customizable workflows that can automate tasks and integration with other systems/tools like Confluence and Slack make it attractive. Tracking team progress is easy and the software is also easy to implement and scale.

Pros

Easy to manage projects from end-end while allowing extensive customization and potential to grow.

Cons

It requires quite a bit of learning when new users may feel lost in the features.

We use Jira to schedule out the tasks for our software build outs. It allows us to assign out tickets with due dates. It allows me to know where each of my employees are at on each task each week. I love being able to create sprints, to help my employees focus on things now in stead of everything that needs to be done.

Pros

I love how easy it is to create tickets and collaborate with other coworkers. I love how I can help my employees focus on what needs to be done this week instead of the whole picture.

Cons

There is a steep learning curve for people who are just starting out with software like this. Once you get it though its great to use.

Overall I would rate it good, it's a perfect tool for any software or even non-software organization. I think the backend team is quite innovative and creative that I feel I would not think of any other alternative for the next 10 years.

Pros

It's Easy to use, the user interface is quite user friendly. Almost everything self explanatory, from raising a bug to closing it, resolving it. If any new person who has never used JIRA, starts using it, it wouldn't take more than 1-2 days for him/her to fully understand it. Additionally it provides you an option of extracting reports where you can view/track your/your team's performance, the work load and many more things which would help you take decisions. I also like the feature of creating dashboards in JIRA, it gives a rich and professional look to your work, which you can showcase to your team, management and other stakeholders.

Cons

There's not much but the scope of reports and dashboard is sometimes limited like I wish to include more options/filters but I couldn't.

Le fait que tout est objet, donc tout est configurable. On définit les différents types de tickets, les typologies d'adhérences entre les tickets, les statuts des tickets par "projet" Un ticket, quel que soit son type, peut être associé

Cons

\- Les limitations dans les règles d'automatisation - le fait que la complexité d'un ticket ne peut pas évoluer dans le temps, si le ticket vient à glisser d'un sprint à l'autre, sans impacter les statistiques du développeur qui travaillé sur le ticket au cours du 1er sprint.

At first for an inexperienced person, it could be overwhelming but it makes life much better once it's all setup and a workflow is established.

There was not many cons than pros to be honest, infact there wasn't any cons at all! Everything was at the best quality

The overall experience is very good actually. The UI is well designed to accommodate a diverse range of functions/features to make the layout intuitive. Setting up the initial configuration will take some time but the customization capability will allow the whole team to tailor the tool to the exact need required. Investing time and effort into integrating Jira in our organization within PMO team allowed us to enhance our project management processes significantly.

Pros

The customizability, the agile support, the integration capabilities, the reporting and analysis, and the user community and resources.

Cons

The steep learning curve and the performance issues for some of the reports, particularly when dealing with big projects or multiples issues, about the loading/response tome which can be slow. Also, the cost could be more affordable to ensure scalability and integration with the whole pmo office.

I'm part of a tech team but I don't need to set up complicated workflows or manage multiple boards. I use Jira in a simple way, like updating status, commenting, and moving tickets. It's simple to use and I don't have any issues with usability.

Pros

It's easy to use and pretty intuitive for simple task management. Things like changing status, closing tickets, and commenting can be done really easily.

Cons

Where setting up a workflow or creating a new ticket there are too many options. It can feel over complicated.
