### "Jira is a great product"

December 9, 2024

5.0

Pros

The robustness of the platform is the most important factor for us.

Cons

We do not like that some features are hard to find or limited so we had to improvise.

### "Jira for Marketing Sprints"

November 15, 2024

5.0

Good, I've been using Jira for many years. Gets the job done.

Pros

Creating monthly sprints for my team was easy, for non-engineering use cases. Our engineers and product teams use Jira, but we adopted it for the marketing org to run monthly sprints, and it worked for that use case.

Cons

Not easy to delete something from the backlog or sprint once its there. Sometimes things just need to get cut, and that should be easier.

### "Improves productivity, but misses a few basic features to make it even better"

August 9, 2024

4.0

Overall, my experience is very positive. There are minor issues and things you have to work around, depending on the use case. I worked with Jira both as a user and an admin. There were minor issues affecting productivity with both, but it's definitely net-positive even for a smaller team of 2-3 devs.

Pros

The standout features are the high level of customisability and the development integrations. I was able to set up automations based on our pipelines. We used Bitbucket from Atlassian as a version control system, so the integrations worked even better. I like that the platform is fairly friendly for smaller dev teams, too. While some features are price-locked behind higher tier plans, it's doable for small teams with lower budget, too. When you need extensions, that's also manageable because most of them are free or cheap under 10 users.

Cons

I had two major problems. First on is that automations are very limited in executions on the lower tier plans. Actions like "assign on transition" should be a basic thing that's included in all plans, unlimited. Assigning tasks to the right person at the right time is crucial for lean operations. Second is that project duplication doesn't work very well. You lose some of the issue schemes, workflows, etc. At the same time, every time you create a new project, Jira creates new schemes/workflows for it - even if you use the same ones for all of your projects. That creates clutter, and to my knowledge it was impossible to set up a project template in Jira cloud. Other than that, at times, the interface can encounter bugs. That's understandable with the complexity of the product, but it's still annoying.

We were looking for a few more advanced features, and a more development-focused platform - rather than Asana which is essentially "project management for everyone".

### "Flexible, integrated, and very efficient overall for teamwork management"

August 9, 2024

5.0

I was part of the team that managed all of their activities on Jira - from application development to issue resolution to communication with internal clients. Jira was in the heart of our everyday routine. The ability to link issues together and define dependencies, and to attach documents, images, etc., along with a tight integration with our Atlassian tools, made it extremely efficient for our needs.

Pros

It's a flexible, highly configurable tool that keeps teams on the same page with regard to projects, issue resolutions, or any tasks that need to get done and involve multiple people

Cons

Not too many drawbacks that I could mention.

### "Jira is amazing! "

October 3, 2025

5.0

Pros

Everything you need, all in one place. No need to go searching for documents or asking team members. It’s all there!

Cons

Almost too easy to use. Keeps you organized and not difficult to understand either. You’re lucky if your organization uses this!

### "Good tool to track work "

November 1, 2024

5.0

Good experience. I am using Jira from 2010.

Pros

Jira got lot of apis to integrate with multi software. As an atlassian tool it is easier to track and use with confluence.

Cons

Not I seen much. The jira stories which I completed get vanished when a new sprint started. It's harder to find done stories

### "Jira is a great team communication tool once it's set up correctly"

August 9, 2024

4.0

It's a great tool once the customization has been worked out to suit the business and team needs. Management had to get involved to make using this tool a requirement. Users hate change.

Pros

Dashboard representation. Once the customization has been set up, the maintenance of stories and moving them through the stages is easy.

Cons

Takes a while to set up and customize to get the Project stages correct. Not intuitive.

### "Mediocre experience "

October 4, 2024

3.0

Found it hard to get adoption from the team because they struggled with the interface.

Pros

Convenient that it is part of the wider atlassian suite of products, making it easier to integrate if you already have other systems set up.

Cons

Not the most intuitive or user friendly, and expensive option when other services offer similar features for much less.

### "Jira Review"

October 2, 2024

5.0

Jira is a great tool to track all the projects I am working on at work and tracking my progression with my goals as well. For example, I can include attachments pertaining to the issues/projects I am working on in Jira which allows me to track how much of my goals have been attained by looking at how much documents/time I have spent on the goals. The user friendliness is also very good because it is easy to drag and drop.

Pros

I like how you can drag projects from the different titled columns my companies have labeled (such as, In Progress, Completed, Approved, etc), This allows me to keep my projects organized and on track because I can also add comments to keep track of them with notes in an organized layout.

Cons

I wish Jira would allow me to work with other apps such as Microsoft, so I can easily update the projects I am working on by using my other apps to track the progress with emails, meetings, etc. Like how much time I am putting in into each project.

### "Good product, but too expensive!"

December 5, 2024

3.0

So far, it's okay, it's organized and very efficient. However, if your company only provides access to limited people, you will not be able to experience it's full potential. As per my experience, if you want to provide access with substantial feature, you have to pay for more.

Pros

it's much more up to date; the display is very chic

Cons

access issue, if you want to have further access, you need to pay more.

Jira is a beneficial tool for agile teams looking to streamline their project management procedures. It helps to enhance productivity, teamwork, and scalability making it a worthwhile addition to any software development team, even though it would need time and resource investment in the beginning.
