It works better for project management, which we are using it for as well. I would recommend it for project management, but not for task management. We have many simple recurring tasks -- and we had to have an admin set those up for us. There was no easy way to do this. The system seems too complex for simple task management. It is helpful to have visibility into my team member's workload, but often tasks sit in the "To Do" and are forgotten to move over to the Done category. It would also be helpful to have reminders sent. Perhaps with additional training and familiarity, it would be of more use to us. The goal is to save time being able to keep on top of projects, but we spend a great deal of time managing the tasks within JIRA that it doesn't seem worth it. Pros The ability to track projects, as well as the ability to have visibility into other team members projects, Cons The interface is too cluttered and difficult to manage. I also liked the real-time collaborations. It has a very powerful workflow engine as well. Cons It is a bit complex, however, that can be overcome in several days with proper use and hands on training.
