We've been using Jira for 5 years now, and we don't see us changing for another product. This is doing the job very nicely.

Pros

Easy and fast to implement. The workflow is very smooth, it's accessible for anyone. Things work beyond expectations.

Cons

Some people are more difficult to onboard than others, but this is due to habit changes, which is difficult. I'd like Jira to showcase itself better for newbies to convince them straight away.

Jira has been great, and looking forward to seeing more of what the team will cook for us. Automation is great, and a card with epic organisation makes it possible to create good enough documentation for work items.

Pros

I love how Jira helps me stay organised with the tasks I need to do. With Jira Automation and GitHub, I don't have to keep updating my card's status. If new features are added and I take some time from work, it's easy to re-update myself on the current status of the projects.

Cons

It took me awhile to get used to jira. There are so many moving pieces that sometimes it's hard to get to where you are. Still can't find where to view cards that are done and didn't have an Epic.

My overall experience in good in using Jira, its a nice product and monitoring a project is easy once u learn the platform. Initially u need to learn the operations but once its done its easy to use.

Pros

Robust task and project tracking, Customizable workflows and boards, Integration capabilities, Reporting and analytics

Cons

The abundance of features leads to a cluttered experience, with many menus and settings that can confuse users unfamiliar with the platform. It can take significant time and training to use Jira efficiently, particularly for non-technical team members

overall my experience with Jira is good. It allows me to complete my job as it offers excellent personalization to my preferences, and allows significant organizational tools for me to streamline my work.

Pros

What I like most about Jira is that it has strong agile support, built specifically for native concepts that I use for my day to day, such as epics, stories, sprints, backlogs to track my working items and bugs/tickets. It is also very easily customizable which is great to use for long term personalization.

Cons

The con that comes to me right off the bat is that Jira may be overwhelming at first, with a steep learning curve. Non-technical users or employees may struggle at first using it. Jira can have a more intuitive tutorial or beginner program for new users to learn.

Pros

The ease to use and multipurpose for project management is the best solution ever. The features are outstanding and stands out.

Cons

The user interface can be more and more intuitive and interactive. The drag and drop features are u known which needs to be put up.

I've been a user for about 9 years with different businesses and different industries. I preferred it when it was simpler. I'm not sure if you were to design a system from scratch it would be what Jira is today

Pros

I like how flexible it can be but that is almost a double edged sword. I like the way you can get different views of the same thing, timeline, kanban, item lists, queries etc.

Cons

They used to be more opinionated about ways of working but now every Jira set up I see is so wildly different there doesn't seem to be a way of working any more. You used to rely on moving between companies and being able to pick it up easily but no more.

We use Jira as our central project management tool across all areas of our work, including campaign planning, editorial work, client projects, social media, internal initiatives, and event management. Time tracking is particularly helpful in the editorial department.

Pros

A user interface that inspires rather than annoys; the design is clear, friendly, almost playful. Even new trainees can quickly find their way around. It's very clear despite the large number of projects; we sometimes have over 20 parallel active projects but we rarely lose track. Regular updates with really helpful new features; you can tell the Jira team is thinking ahead. The integrations with our Google calendar works seamlessly. Once connected, it's never forgotten.

Cons

I can't assign subtasks to a member of staff. I also can't assign a color to a user/employee whose projects are the assigned and visible in that color. I hope that will be considered in the next update.

The team enjoyed the tool, the custom filters, reports, and ability to have views to track out of SLA tickets, those approaching the time to breach was fantastic.

Pros

An ITIL-compliant tool, full-service end-to-end management. Reporting, dashboards, and a lot more for the MIS/Reporting and following KPI'S for teams.

Cons

Somewhat convoluted setup process, but it was the nature of the product that it had different aspects/modules for different levels /types of team working.

Mi experiencia general con Jira ha sido positiva, especialmente una vez que lográs superar la etapa inicial de aprendizaje. Al principio cuesta un poco adaptarse, porque no es una herramienta “plug and play” si querés usarla bien. Pero una vez configurado todo según las necesidades del equipo, se vuelve una plataforma muy poderosa para organizar el trabajo y mantener la trazabilidad de los proyectos.

Pros

flexibilidad para adaptarse a distintos tipos de equipos y flujos de trabajo. En mi caso, lo usamos principalmente para desarrollo de software, y la capacidad de personalizar tableros Kanban, workflows, permisos y automatizaciones hace una gran diferencia.

Cons

puede resultar abrumador al principio, especialmente si no tenés experiencia previa con herramientas de gestión de proyectos.

In general, a strong and dependable tool for managing tasks and projects. Good for keeping track of work and working together as a team.

Pros

Good features for the price. After you set it up, it's easy to use and very organized for managing tasks. Working together on projects and teams goes well. Customer service is quick to respond.

Cons

It can be hard for new users to understand and it takes time to set up. The interface ca be a little too much, small teams can end up paying a lot for their prices, Compared to tools made just for diagrams, diagram features are limited.

Cons

Sometimes configuration take more time than actual using it, creating specific flow, etc. Missing for example way to make multiple favourite list

I have used Jira extensively over the last decade, both in the cloud and on premise. Our teams have used other tools, and we always end up consolidating on Jira for it's ubiquitousness.

Pros

Jira is an industry standard; just about every developer has experience with it. It is usable out of the box and is flexible enough to work for almost any environment or configuration. There are plugins to interact with just about any piece of software imaginable.

Cons

Advanced configuration is multi-layered and complex. Adding a single custom field might take more than 6 pages and 30 clicks.

Pros

Task management for large teams of developers. Ability to assign tasks to users and ability to configure any intake field on the task.

Cons

The need for more templates. I did find it time consuming to create simple intake forms from scratch.

Jira is good, but I had to leave it for Asana when my use case changed and found the latter is as useful and provides the integrations and features more suitable.

Pros

It has a good value for the cost and provides high-quality services, and it is easy to use for updating tasks and scheduling work, besides having a good teamwork environment and collaborating on projects. In addition to that, it has many features to create boards, lists and diagrams.

Cons

It is less colourful and simple that the other competition software, and the interface is so complex and crowded with options and settings.

Good as a user replying to tockets, it works well and has a great interface for repling. Less ideal as someone managing the software and its changes. As. small ream i would appreciate something easier to configure and manage

Very customizable for your needs, can supprt single team or company wide ticketing needs. Intregrates with other atlassian products well

difficult sometimes to manage, the setting/menus can be not intuitive and it sometimes takes longer than i would expect for simple changes.

My overall experience with Jira has been great altogether. I have used it to collaborate with my project teams on atleast 15 projects now. It was a learning curve at the very beginning when I started using the tool. But with time I got used to it and got more friendly and easy to manage.

Pros

Jira is really easy to use and it gives a clear place and status to everything including project bugs and deadlines and it makes the project really manageable and it's progress visible..

Cons

If the notifications are not carefully tuned, it floods a user emails and alerts. Also, on large projects with large teams on board, Jira might feel a bit slow.

Pros

I use Jira for writing requirements and collaborating with cross disciplinary teams. I find Jira much easier to use for collaboration as a team of analysts, software engineers, and QA. Jira is more customizable than other similar tools I've used and offers the ability to make both personal boards and team boards.

Cons

If a user is unfamiliar with tools like Jira, it can be slighlty difficult to learn. More detailed walk through instructions would be nice for first time users, and maybe even some refresher courses or tips and tricks could be nice for more any user.

Pros

I like that it's easy to collaborate as a team with Jira. I use it to delegate tasks to other coworkers. It's free for 10 users or less. It is amazing for task management. I use it in scrum meetings. I can easily write user stories and attach diagrams when delegating work. There is also great customer support.

Cons

I enjoyed using Jira in the workplace. I don't have any complaints using the software. I am glad there is a free tier.
