Pros

Great project management product, it allow us to collaborate on tasks very easily. This is our bug and task source

Cons

The UI is not very intuitive The stages of tasks and epics are different from each other, and in order to solve them there are too many stages to pass, not very intuitive as well

### "Jira Transformed Our Workflow: Centralized, Efficient & Game-Changing"

April 7, 2025

5.0

Jira has become our team's essential work hub, providing transparent workflow. The ability to track multiple projects in one place while maintaining complete visibility into tasks, deadlines, and team responsibilities has transformed how we work. What initially seemed complex now feels empowering, giving us an organized system that scales with our needs. Jira's robust functionality makes it an invaluable tool that has elevated our team's efficiency and collaboration to new levels.

Pros

Jira provides an exceptional platform for managing tasks across multiple projects in a centralized workspace. We can easily create tasks, assign them to teammates, and track progress without losing track of anything. The real-time updates are a lifesaver - I always know exactly where things stand without having to chase people for status updates. What I appreciate most is how flexible it is - whether I'm working on a simple project or a complex project with multiple steps, Jira adapts to my needs. The visual dashboards make it super easy to see what's done, what's in progress, and what needs attention.

Cons

It's not the easiest tool to learn at first - new users often feel overwhelmed by all the options. But it's very useful for tech teams when you have learned how to use it.

We initially used Trello for its simplicity, but as our team and projects grew, we needed more robust features.

### "A Powerful Tool for Agile Teams with a Steep Learning Curve"

April 5, 2025

5.0

Overall, Jira has been a reliable and essential tool in managing software development projects. It supports Agile methodologies extremely well and scales effectively across teams. Once the learning curve is surpassed, it becomes a powerhouse for collaboration, traceability, and transparency. Custom dashboards and integrations further enhance productivity, making Jira a top choice for structured project tracking.

Pros

Jira stands out for its robust features tailored for Agile project management. I especially appreciate the flexibility in configuring workflows, custom fields, and issue types to suit different teams and project needs. Its integration with other Atlassian tools like Confluence and Bitbucket is seamless, and the reporting capabilities (burn-down charts, velocity reports, cumulative flow diagrams) provide valuable insights for tracking progress and performance.

Cons

The user interface can be overwhelming for new users, and the initial setup requires a solid understanding of Jira’s configuration options. Performance can lag slightly with large datasets, and managing permissions or automations sometimes feels unnecessarily complex. Additionally, the pricing can be a bit high for smaller teams or startups.

### "Effective Project Management System for the organized team."

May 14, 2025

4.0

I worked with Jira in one of the school projects and I must say that this is a decent software for group work management. It is very helpful in organizing tasks and keeping up with the progress, which facilitated collaboration. However, the interface can be a little confusing for the newbies – it took a little to get acquainted with the layout and the features. The integration with GitHub or similar tools could be way smoother too. All things considered, Jira can be a really good tool for teamwork and project tracking, once you manage to overcome the initial learning curve.

Pros

My favorite thing in Jira is how good this tool is at supporting structured team-oriented project management – particularly in Agile environments. The platform provides a level of flexibility that allows you to build workflows, task types, and dashboards that suit perfectly the needs of your team. Whether you're managing a simple class project or a multi-layered software rollout, Jira can be adjusted to suit both small and large-scale efforts. Its visual task boards -Kanban and Scrum- make it easy to manage whom is doing what and where each task is at. This not only makes teams organized but it also prevents communication gaps. One of the things that I found really useful is the real-time transparency that it provides. you can instantly see progress updates, bottlenecks, and what's coming next. Jira also has very detailed reporting tools that allow the teams to reflect on how they performed at one point in time. Charts and analytics such as burndown graphs or sprint reports provide clean information as to how works are moving. These features are very convenient for planning further tasks or detecting the places where one can improve. Other strengths include Jira’s ease of interfacing with Confluence, GitHub, Google Workspace among the rest. This helps keep all – documents, code, communication – together in the same ecosystem, which is good for concentrating and being productive.

Cons

And what I did not like most about Jira was the spiked learning curve, especially for new users and the non technical team members. Despite the fact that Jira is an astoundingly powerful and feature-rich tool, the very complexity can make the initial onboarding a little bit confusing. It takes time to know how to switch from one project to another, configure the boards, and use all its tools at maximum potential and occasionally people may require external help or training. The user interface is another aspect that could be enhanced, even though it is operational, it may seem chaotic and non-user-friendly in some areas, especially, when one is trying to switch between varied perspectives or work with personally created workflows. Without forgetting Jira’s many integrations with other third party applications (e.g., GitHub)- their configurations at times can be quite technical and not really a walk in the park for an average joe that had not previously dabbled in such. File management is another little problem – adding, storing shared documents in issues can be not as fluid and accessible as it should be, and especially in comparison to more communication-based platforms. However, the major part of these barriers is bound to fade away with time, as one carries on using them. After becoming accustomed to the platform, it becomes a lot easier to use all the opportunities provided by Jira.

### "Managing My Tasks"

January 15, 2026

4.0

If you have a big project with many people, Jira is great. It keeps everyone accountable and shows progress clearly. Once you learn the system, it is very powerful for tracking every little detail of your research work every day.

Pros

I like how I can see all my research steps in columns. It helps me track what is "Doing" and what is "Done." Breaking big research goals into small tasks makes my work feel much less stressful and very organized.

Cons

The interface is very confusing at the start. There are too many buttons and settings that I do not use. It took me a long time to learn how to move tasks. It feels a bit too heavy for small research teams.

### "Personal experience about Jira"

October 16, 2025

4.0

I used it a lot in my side projects, not only in software development, but also personal learning and organize task.

Pros

1\. Very easy to manage several Scrum project together in the same dashboard. Normally focus on product backlog, spring backlog and board can easily handle 80% of scrum tasks. 2. When finished a sprint, it provided good retrospect template to let team collaboration easier.

Cons

I can't easily find out all completed user stories in backlog or board for a finished sprint. I will need to go to timeline to check myself.

### "A product that's only got better with time"

September 25, 2025

4.0

In the past Jira had an awful UX/UI and it was slow; now it's got a lot better in all these matters and is designed to accomodate almost any kind of board: Kanban, project management, IT tickets, personal planning, etc.

Pros

It's a very comprehensive and well-thought product; everything from an IT board to a project management tool is covered. Once you're familiar with the product, it gets easier to use every time. It's perfectly suited for teams: sends notifications, mails, allows switching from the app to the web site transparently and collaborating with a large team is really good.

Cons

The learning curve is steep for regular users; for admin users it's really difficult to find their way in the application: the permissions and team creation pages are not intuitively built. This is a product designed to handle large teams so it's inherently complicated.

### "Good issue tracking software, good integration support, admin editing is a pain"

May 22, 2025

4.0

Overall, I am happy with Jira. I appreciate that Jira is supported by many 3rd party vendors. I like the integration between Jira and Bitbucket. Editing custom fields are a pain, and editing automation rules are a pain too.

Pros

We use Jira to help manage our projects and resolve any software bugs in our frontend/backend/mobile apps. Creating a project is pretty straight forward. I like that Jira supports many integrations and 3rd party apps. For example, our vulnerability alerts go to Jira. I like the backlog view and the kanban board view. The reports have gotten better over the years.

Cons

Finding things is a pain. For example, finding how to add another value to a custom's field drop-down takes way longer than it should. Dashboards take forever to make. I wish there were pre-built dashboards. Automation rules are tricky to setup, and tricky to troubleshoot if the rule fails.

### "Excellent! "

November 20, 2025

5.0

It’s been a pretty good experience. We move from a less practical option to the proper one that suits our needs and makes the processes faster and more effective.

Pros

It is a tool that helps us to report any issue detected to the proper department. It is very easy to use and it is really useful that you can search the JIRA created by team, status, etc. also, using the filters, it’s really easy to find closed escalations.

Cons

Sometimes the pictures added to JIRA seem to never upload, even if you wait a couple of minutes. You need to duplicate the tab and copy and paste all the information into the new tab for the pictures to upload properly.

### "A powerful tool that keeps teams aligned"

January 29, 2026

5.0

Overall, Jira has been a very positive experience. It’s a robust platform that brings structure and accountability to project delivery. While it benefits from a good initial setup, once in place it becomes a central part of how teams plan, track, and deliver work. It’s a dependable tool that I’d happily continue using.

Pros

Jira is incredibly powerful once it’s set up properly. It gives clear visibility across projects, makes it easy to track progress, and works really well for managing sprints and ongoing work. The flexibility around workflows, issue types, and integrations is a big plus, especially when working with developers and multiple teams. It’s reliable and scales well as projects grow.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve at the start, and it can feel complex for new users. However, once the basics are understood and the boards are configured properly, this becomes much less of an issue.

### "Love for Jira"

November 14, 2025

5.0

Great, Jira became a everyday usage tool now for the software development life cycle. Developers and QA use it as frequently as each other and project collaboration becomes a piece of cake with Jira usage

Pros

Love Jira integration with TestRail. Makes it very easy from QA point of view. Each task closed in Jira can have a testcase in TestRail and the reference task (one or more references) can give a complete history of what has changed or how the feature evolved over time. A complete value for money.

Cons

I get a bit confused with the usage of terms like Spaces versus Projects. Sometimes it gets hard for me to navigate between the spaces.

### "Powerful but at times overly complicated for everyday use"

November 18, 2025

4.0

Overall, Jira is powerful and gets the job done, but it requires more maintenance and patience than most tools. Once everything is set up correctly, it works well for tracking work, but the learning curve and complexity can slow teams down if they aren’t disciplined with process.

Pros

I like that Jira gives you a ton of flexibility to customize workflows, fields, and boards to match how your team operates. It also integrates well with other tools in the Atlassian ecosystem, which makes it easier to keep product, engineering, and design aligned in one place. I tend to leverage the AI tools for stories and epics on occasion; these are solid.

Cons

Jira can feel bloated and overly complex for what should be simple tasks, especially when you’re trying to make quick updates or find a specific ticket. The interface is slow at times, and admin-level configuration creates dependencies that make even small changes harder than they should be.

best experience with the jira, i can check who is working on which items. also i can make a filter in the dashboard like i am making a filter of all the bugs then another filter is all my work item, so used of this filter i can easily track the tickets

Pros

We can manage the daily routine task using the jira. we can manage our team work using jira and our product and project work. there are multiple feature jira have. we can create a tickets like task, sub task, issue, bug, etc. we can manage sprint planning using the jira. we can set the automation like if ticket assign to someone then send the email like ticket is assing to you. easily understable the jira. we can say that it is value for money tool. using the chart diagram flow we can track the progress of team. Jira is update there tool time to time.

Cons

### "Collaboration made easy with Jira"

April 10, 2025

4.0

As far as my experience goes, i would say it has been great, i have enjoyed using it for project tracking and collaborating with my team members as this has greatly improved our efficiency and product delivery to market.

Pros

I like the fact that it helps my team and I to better manage our projects with customizable workflows that allows us to track progress and collaborate efficiently. also like the fact that it allows us to integrate with other tools to enhance our productivity.

Cons

Well, it can be a little bit complex for new users as it requires some sort of learning to get a hang of the software at first. It may also be a little bit pricy for teams who are just starting out hence making it less appealing to those in the that category.

### "Powerful and Reliable Tool for Organized Teamwork"

April 8, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Jira has been positive. It’s a reliable tool for managing projects and keeping track of tasks, especially in a team environment. While there was a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, once I got used to it, it really helped improve organization and productivity.

Pros

I really like how Jira keeps everything organized in one place. It makes tracking tasks, bugs, and progress super easy, especially when working with a team. The customization options are great too—I can set up boards and workflows exactly how I need them. It also integrates well with other tools, which saves me a lot of time.

Cons

While Jira is a powerful tool, I found that it can feel a bit overwhelming at first due to the number of features available. The interface isn’t always the most intuitive, so there’s a learning curve.

### "STREAMLINED AND EASY TO USE TOOL TO KEEP TRACK OF COMPLEX PROJECTS!"

August 20, 2025

4.0

I was intimidated at first seeing the board, but it is a very streamlined way to work. Managing my workload is very easy to know where I am at with a project.

Pros

Being that I had never used JIRA before, I found it very easy to adapt to. The simplistic nature of moving story cards from left to right as the project progressed made the platform very simple to understand. The support received internally also made troubleshooting a breeze.

Cons

When certain situations arose, not being able to move the story card from right to left sometimes created more work when issues took place.

### "Jira - Great for teams big and small"

April 10, 2025

4.0

In summary, Jira is a very powerful tool with an extensive feature set, and a plethora of addons that can be highly beneficial for teams of all sizes. However, its complexity and potential performance issues should be considered before implementation.

Pros

As a Jira user for many years, something which always stands out is the highly customisable workflows and fields. Having an understanding of JQL queries really helps bring power to their search snd filtering functionality. Jira has a wide reach when it comes to integrations with dev tools. Issue tracking and workflows allows for easy tracking, bug fixing and feature development, allowong for cross team collaboration, with clear reporting features to understand dev team efficiency.

Cons

Jira, although a tool of choice does come with a steep learning curve and to some extent, a complex UI. With large instances, going with the cloud solution can be beneficial, but also has the potential for some performance issues with large instances. Due to the flexibility of Jira, although great for dev teams cuatomising their own methodology, there is a risk of over-customisation which could lead to causing complexity. There is a mobile app, but there are many limitations, and it used more for updates rather than working within the app. There are many addons, but there is a potential to add cost to your base subscription, this can cause the total solution cost to be high.

Pros
