### "Jira : a Great Agile tool with lot of possibilities - plus integration of Add-On."

September 10, 2021

5.0

Jira is helping us everyday in scrum and agile. It's a very powerful tool, and we can't work anymore without it. It help any manager and ressource to do his today's tasks.

Pros

Firstly, Jira has a lot of option, and with a good configuration, it can do a lot. Even if you are blocked - function not present - a lot of Add-on allow you complete the default functionality with a perfect integration.

Cons

The cost of software can be a bit expensive for some compony, especially if you want to add add-ons for only part of the company (like Zephyr for Testers), the cost is often for "all Jira users".... So you can have some licence paid for no usage.

### "Jira is essential for any IT company"

December 21, 2022

5.0

Jira helps in every team process. It makes things much easier to manage. I couldn't imagine project planning without Jira.

Pros

Jira is wonderful in many aspects and it is designed to be user-friendly, with a simple and intuitive interface that makes it easy for users to get up and running quickly. It is a powerful and flexible tool that can be used to support a wide range of software development projects and processes.

Cons

Jira tends to be a bit slow sometimes and I think it may not be suitable for very large organizations or projects with a large number of users. In these cases, it may require additional resources to manage and maintain and that means more costs.

### "A good agile product management tool"

April 15, 2022

4.0

It is a very helpful feature to support the agile environment. Its project management feature is very useful for our organization.

Pros

Its UI is very user-friendly. We can tag tickets so that we could get the importance of the ticket just by looking at it. We can control user permissions to move tickets, and easily get history on which user did what.

Cons

I sometimes have difficulty writing the description of the ticket, sometimes creating a table in the description is a headache. Understanding sprint reports is also difficult.

### "Best in segment Project Management tool. "

July 13, 2022

5.0

JIRA is a really great project management tool. Tracking, to-do, reviews, testing, waiting etc can be easily done and maintained with it. It's awesome to use. Also JIRA makes it very easy to report problems. Customer support is also good. Recommended product.

Pros

JIRA is great, and is very flexible, the user interface is clean and beautiful. Also everything needed is right where it needs to be. It is also easily customizable. The Kanban feature is very effective to quickly and easily create and categorize tasks. Mobile application by them is very informative, decisions and updates can be made easily from the application.

Cons

The product is great but their are few bugs or glitches, like you can't move a task card back to the to-do once you have moved it to in-progress. Also statistical analysis of the bandwidth allocation in the team is not entirely visible. The worst is the one when you have to mark every state of the ticket as closed to close the ticket entirely, their should be a single button feature to mark ticket as close.

### "Jira - Best tool for Corporate Product Management"

April 24, 2022

5.0

My overall experience with JIRA has been great. It helps me create user stories for new enhancements planned for the products, report bugs and log them, and also create tasks for processes like requirement gathering. I can monitor all my tasks actively, and plan my day properly to help deliver my best to my team and organization at large.

Pros

JIRA has many cool features. The best thing I like about JIRA is the dashboards that they provide. Being from the Product team at ZS, my team uses a variety of JIRA dashboards including a burndown chart (to monitor if the tasks are progressing smoothly, or whether they are abruptly marked complete at the end of the sprint), and a team progress report, where the number of tasks assigned and completed by each team member is clearly visible. Overall, dashboards help provide a big picture of the sprint status and help monitor sprints effectively.

Cons

The tool is great, but it has certain limitations. The dashboards in JIRA, cannot be downloaded as JPG images when trying to present these to the Leadership team in the form of PPT reports. Many a time, the Snipping tool needs to be used to cut the images from the screen and paste these into the reports which present us with two issues: 1. Low-resolution images which appear blurry when enlarged, and 2. Hassle for opening additional tools to extra the images. It would be helpful if JIRA provides the capability to download the images as JPG, PNG files (or an even better option would be to download the dashboard as a PPT file)

### "Jira"

March 30, 2023

5.0

Pros

### "Jira revolutionises cross-team collaboration and project management"

September 6, 2022

5.0

Incredible feature set, third party integrations and workflow tools. I would not look to use anything else as this software has allowed for dynamic and collaborative working across numerous teams across the business no matter the location, in real time.

Pros

The kanban boards and project roadmap tools allow for a simple and strategic view of operational workloads, development projects, bug management and many more. This tool will change how your business teams can operate and how their work can be best appreciated in terms of time taken, effort produced and content provided

Cons

The only gripe that I have is not to do with Jira itself, but with the integration with Clocify. A very minor issue whereby if you stop your timer on Clockify itself when it had been started from a task in Jira, it will not update the value for 'Time Taken' on that issue / bug / task.

### "JIRA usage for Agile projects"

October 11, 2018

5.0

Currently, my organization is moving from waterfall model to Agile model (hybrid), JIRA has helped a lot to standardize the reporting of granular project details to be reported as a consolidated approach as to how the sprints within a project are moving forward. JIRA has given the transparent view of how the projects/sprints for a product is moving forward and managing the interdependencies within a project.

Pros

\- Manage multiple projects under one project in JIRA and works well for a complete program - Email notification when any changes made in JIRA makes collaboration efficient - JIRA board (Scrum Board) in JIRA and defining specific project JQL to filter the issues in JIRA makes it more user friendly for scrum masters who are managing multiple scrum teams in a program - Automated dashboard creation and ability to create different charts makes it very easy for showing management rpeorting on different scrum teams progress in a sprint - Sprint and version reports (out of the box) which provides burn down charts and which issues are lying in one state for more than a specific period of time helps scrum team to move forward and resolves impending issues - Ability to link issues for dependency and flexibility to define SDLC life cycle for an issue on a board makes it very handy on any type of project

Cons

\- No single view is available to see clearly how dependencies are moving forward - There are times when single issue has to be given to multiple people like in pair programming one way is to create sub task but that is not an approach that was liked by scrum teams - There macros / gadgets that comes with the JIRA product are very minimum they should add more gadgest for reporting purpose. - Yes, there are different third party gadgets but sometimes those are not JIRA / atlassian recognized and for enterprise application and corporates using JIRA does not go ahead to deploy those third part gadgets on the server model.

### "A must have tool for an organisation to manage the projects"

August 11, 2022

4.0

Pros

I have been using JIRA for more than four years and the best thing about this tool is that every IT organisation that I worked with during this time uses JIRA for nearly the same purposes. In this sense, it feels like a defacto tool for managing IT projects. This way, the users feel productive from day one and the organisations do not have to spend money on training (except for freshers). There are many good features such as - Ability to classify tickets based on a wide range of identifiers (tags/labels, sprint, phases, severity etc.) - Criteria-based (e.g. blocked by, requires, is required by etc.) - Linking to other tickets - Dashboard - Kanban board - Rich UI - Availability of a wide range of templates, reports etc. - Sprint velocity tracking - Powerful search feature These are some of the most commonly used features but the ever-growing list of cool features is huge. Although I am not an administrator of this tool, whenever I request some feature, most of the time administrators make them available in minutes simply by some configurations.

Cons

1\. It requires training for new users. It took me more than a week to be able to work effectively with this tool. 2. Keyboard shortcuts are limited. 3. Sometimes I faced issues with copy-paste text in sections e.g. when I try to paste text in a section, the text gets pasted out of the section. Although it is a minor problem, it becomes frustrating when I am in a hurry.

### "JIRA Review"

March 20, 2023

Things seem pretty fine and working with Jira is really helpful.

Pros

Project planning, tracking teams and team members along with the tasks makes the planning much easier and more fruitful. Definitely recommended for project management even for non-IT projects.

Cons

Individual settings per user so that the user can choose to be notified or not for the updates on the tasks instead of providing rights to the administrator.

### "A staple in the industry that set the standards"

January 28, 2022

5.0

Overall, JIRA is one of the best tools for productivity for software teams. It set the standards for lots of project management tools that came after it. It has an easy to use interface and offers lots of integration with other productivity tools and configurability for various project specific needs.

Pros

JIRA continues to be a staple in the software development industry, where it plays a critical role in the daily management of software projects. It features an easy to use interface that is well designed and responsive and offers lots of options for configurability and reporting.

Cons

JIRA can feel slow as more and more data is added. This can make it less appealing the longer a company or organization uses it and their data use starts to go up.

### "Jira is good enough, but definitely needs more improvements"

March 27, 2022

3.0

2 out of 5 stars. In fact, we're (my company) is moving from Jira to Monday.com. It might be a little more, but the trade-off is definitely worth it.

Pros

Well, the basics. Assignments, delegations and being able to reply to the assigner and to the client him/herself.

Cons

I'm a UX/UI Designer. So, the workflow is convoluted. The interface needs proper blockings because there are so much thing happening on the main page. Take a look at Monday.com for comparison.

### "Jira - Perfect for QA"

February 7, 2022

5.0

Overall, Jira has been very easy for me to pick up and it's been a solid tool for bug tracking in QA.

Pros

Very usable for QA, to enter tickets for developpers, assign work, create epics and manage general issues within a project. I love the advanced search feature particularly.

Cons

Calendars can be a bit difficult to use. It's possible to setup dates and deadlines for items, but not that easy to have a visual calendar of events/tickets.

### "Clean platform with useful sidebar"

April 28, 2022

4.0

Pros

I appreciate that Jira tickets have a sidebar that houses critical information, including project labels and areas to submit briefs and live urls. The Kanban boards are the most useful feature so I can visibly see where everything is in the pipeline. It keeps my tasks organized and everything looks clean.

Cons

There are some bugs that I’ve experienced. For example, once I reassign the ticket to another person and change the status, I click outside the pop-up to return to the Kanban board. Sometimes the system keeps me caught in a loop and will keep showing me the ticket that I’ve already sent off. I can’t navigate away from the ticket. Instead I need to close the browser and relaunch Jira.

### "One of the best Project Management Tool"

May 28, 2022

5.0

Overall its feels nice using Jira for our day to day work. It helps in tracking the project activities and improves productivity of team.

Pros

Well ! there are many Pros, but I would like to point out 3 common out of them: 1. Data Visualization in form of graphs and charts 2. Wide range of customizable options 3. Easy integration with different applications

Cons

Well, I can't mention it as a "Cons" but definitely a point where some work will be appreciated. It has very plain and simple UI/UX which seems like we are using old and legacy application. Jira should work on improving its User Interface and User Experience.

I´m using scrum and interating continously to achieve expected outcomes developing software.

Pros

I like the most the integrations available (Bitbucket, Slack, etc) and how customizable the software is. You can define which detail to include in any new created task, project, etc.

Cons

### "Need to Know About Jira Atlassian"

March 13, 2022

5.0

It's an incredible organization with heaps of brilliant individuals, great advantages and fabulous workplaces. The organization truly deals with its representatives: entirely adaptable in regards to work times and area, great compensation, limitless get-away, free lunch, gigantic kitchen, normal occasions. The actual organization has exceptionally level orders. Everybody can plan a gathering with the president, for instance. I did that for instance. The mentality is very ground breaking, current and quick.

Pros

Jira is the best venture the board programming for spry groups and programming engineers. This light-footed arrangement makes it simple for colleagues and task chiefs to change all through the total undertaking life cycle. Jira has apparatuses like scrum and Kanban sheets that are great for getting sorted out errands and overseeing agile groups. Jira is worked for agile and Scrum project the executives. The product accompanies scrum loads up and Kanban loads up so groups can picture work processes and see the improvement of undertakings continuously. It's simple for administrators to comprehend which undertakings are progressing nicely and which ones are deferred. Jira upholds deft runs and various undertaking sees, similar to client stories and story focuses.

Cons

Loads of undertaking the executives programming accompanies a Gantt outline or course of events view. Jira doesn't. Timetables are valuable for seeing which assignments and subtasks are associated with each other. With a timetable view, project directors can change plans assuming an issue emerges in one errand that will affect others. To get this kind of usefulness, you'd need to get a different Gantt outline application and associate it to Jira through the Atlassian commercial center.

### "Flexible, powerful, simple to use and grows as you go"

November 24, 2018

5.0

Jira surprised me as coming across simple yet being incredibly powerful and versatile. It is a full blown Ticket and workflow management tool and it might be too much for small or personal projects. However, not being required to change the ticket system when the company or the team scales or are faced with types of tasks you did not expect is simply fantastic. Keeping software simple, easy to use yet increase its versatility and power is a virtue and Jira is build upon this virtue with care and vision

Pros

Jira is clean and it is simple yet powerful. You can use it for your basic ticket workflows from the get go and expand as you grow or the tasks you wisch to cover branch out. It is easy to customize the ticket views to contain the information you want to use and avoid cluttering. The Workflow editor is one of the most powerful I came across in all my professional career. It might not seem so much of an importance but believe me, when your business grows unexpected necessities will arise and you will suddenly be required to track tasks you never though about. Jira will have you covered and allow you to add different task types which traverse task-type specific phases and have corresponding stati. Also you have all the world of notification and responsibility tracking ping-pong covered as you go. Two further things are woth mentioning: First the Atlassian World (the Wiki Confluence and build system Bamboo and many other products) integrate flawlessly and it actually really makes using them fun. Jira is one of the tools, that make you smile when you are required to use it no matter the task to track, its jus smooth, convenient and above and beyond provides a rich ecosystem for free and commercial plugins even for rather exotic use cases. Also, the license Model behind it scales fantastically. When we introduced it we were a small company with 8 people (we are now going strong towards the 200) and it was critical to keep cost for our tools reasonable. Jira got us covered.

Cons

When we scaled, the License was not as flexible in higher user tiers as it was in the lower ones. Also once upon a time an update went wrong and we had to invest a bucketload of time and brain power to get everything back up to speed. We did run jira on premise and hat some custom plugins so there might be some of the tripwires: In case you use plugins they must be available in the version you wish to upgrade to and this might require some research prior to updates. Also, you can make a science out of the workflow and notification configuration. In case it is not documented well when you do it it might get you into trouble.
