### "Managing projects and issues from a single center"

November 13, 2021

5.0

The Jira platform is an extremely critical platform for agile teams in our organization. I have been using this platform for about 2 years. We use it as an executive summary table, especially in scrum meetings. In this sense, I think it would be much more effective if it were possible to create some ready-made reports or presentations. I also think that it could be a little better at customizing.

Pros

I would like to list the features that I like the most about the Jira platform as follows. First of all, it is very effective that he communicates the developments and changes about me. It makes my job a lot easier. It is very effective to keep track of the projects and to keep some areas confidential with authorizations within the chapter. It is also very successful that it can integrate with Microsoft teams.

Cons

It would also be nice to see the progress, especially in addictive tasks. Just in-progress is not very informative. I also wish the interface was a little more customizable.

### "Track your Work from Start to End of Software Life cycle"

March 14, 2023

5.0

Jira helps in maintaining our Scrum, Kanban and Devops culture. Its burndown charts, reporting, ease of all the roles working from product owner to dev all can be on on platform and in sync. Backlog can be easily managed and working hours are easily logged on same.

Pros

Its interface which gives a better look for team, whether defects are resolved or we can implement shift left strategy with charts provided. Sprints are easily executed from start to end and also Kanban is implemented with push and pull. SAFE can easily be implemented using this tool. It has good work log management and assigning task, where you can create sub task. Epic, theme, Task, SubTask Milestone can be created and tracked easily.

Cons

Documentation part is only maintained when everyone follows standard method of maintaining updated comments, in Sprints the scrum master has to remind for comments always. Chat History can not be added to the Jira, its only through conversation things can be tracked. Naming conventions like tagging is not shown for issue or defect to find and link to past issues

### "Jira Review"

January 19, 2023

5.0

My overall experience is WOW! Jira is by far the best project management software, I call it the GOAT!

Pros

I will say its flexibility and scalability. Jira can be used for a wide range of use cases, from simple task tracking to complex project management.

Cons

I think it's just it's steep learning curve for new users, especially for those who are not familiar with project management methodologies or agile frameworks. But once you start using it, it will become seamless for you.

### "Jira Review"

April 2, 2022

4.0

We were looking for a solution that would allow us to track our projects, keep tabs on the deadlines, and organize all of the tasks in one place. Jira has changed how we work by giving us peace of mind and enabling us to focus on what really matters. We've been able to track our progress much more easily which has helped us reach our targets and clear out.

Pros

Jira is a great product that really helps me manage my team better. It's the best I've found for features like checklists with due dates and milestones, an easy-to-use interface, and integration with other business systems. If you're looking for a competitor to Wrike, this is it.

Cons

I've been using Jira and I have to admit that it's a great product. The only thing that is missing is a way to communicate with your team or clients on a personal level. Maybe something like WhatsApp would be good. Other than that, this product is amazing!

Jira hss been s defacto industrial tool, omnipresent, with no frictional heat from this product.

Pros

If you were to live off rice ,then jira rice would be the way. Implying a strong review for jira as a staple software product, palatable, so easy to use and intuitive.

Cons

There are freemium products matching altassian now, but for pros, the premium stays.

### "Minimalist, easy to use, feature rich and easily integrable"

May 21, 2021

5.0

JIRA is very useful for collaborating on projects across large teams . It is constantly evolving to accommodate new features, works well for various team sizes, ensures minimalism, and makes sure updates are not missed

Pros

Jira is a defacto project management tool in most companies, given its agile oriented layouts of Kanban, and recently introduced Gantt and Timeline views. Task assignation, subtasks, stories, time estimation are easy and even new hires can easily onboard and use it effectively. My favorite was its super clean sync with Slack and its fast alert system, so that any assigned tasks, deadlines and updates would never get missed, even with my team working across different time zones.

Cons

JIRA has numerous free alternatives, and tbh, I find it slightly overpriced in a competitive market. While my company pays for the official tool that we use, I am usually unable to use JIRA for my personal projects since the free tier limits are very small. I really think JIRA should create a personal project plan that would allow access to some of their services for free/much more reduced cost.

### "Best-in-class and Reliable Project Management Companion "

April 22, 2022

4.0

Jira is presently utilized to manage our projects and workflows. We utilize it to manage team members' progress on projects, track outstanding work, and offer context for objectives and procedures. This is utilized across the organization and provides visibility for a large portion of the development effort on a range of projects.

Pros

1) Integrate seamlessly with development tools like Slack, Github, or Bitbucket. 2) Workspace is very configurable; you may customize the components of each task on your board, as well as create your own icons, labels, and automated processes. 3) Connect all issues/tasks to Epics and view the anticipated outcomes in the Product Roadmap. 4) It offers the flexibility of a kanban board, which provides the user with a clearer view of what has been accomplished, what is in process, and what remains. 5) User story statuses may be used to monitor progress and control workflows. 6) Allows for bulk import of epics and user stories, which speeds up administrative duties if this information was previously recorded in another format, such as CSV.

Cons

1) Only internal users may be allocated to tasks and user stories. This might result in unnecessarily long delays when external users want immediate input or participation. 2) When many boards exist within a project, statuses (user stories) cannot be established explicitly for each board. 3) User stories may be assigned to just two categories of users: assignees and reporters. JIRA does not permit the assignment of numerous assignees to a single user story.

### "Jira is a top platform for issue management and tickets for the company"

January 29, 2022

5.0

Since I work with Jira, the leassons learned management, issue management and raising up tickets is so easy and powerful that I don't want to go back for other softwares.

Pros

The issue management is, for me, the best part of Jira. It allows the organisation to raise up topics, follow them and close them, adding pictures or text and even tagging people for answers. The ticket feature is also very interesting and it works very good.

Cons

The platform is that powerful that at the beginning it can overwhelm you, a short introduction or training I think is needed. Once you know the most important features, you are all set.

### "Jira is my go to Agile/Scrum/Sprint management tool"

April 11, 2021

5.0

I love the tool. I been using it for the last 6+ years. It makes my life easier---knowing what is being delivered on a day to day basis, is the team meeting their goals, are we behind, do we need to estimate our work better, etc.

Pros

Easy to setup and use. Both enterprise and cloud options are effective. If you are an agile shop---it's the go to tool for collaboration and getting your teams effectively working on a small increment of workable software product. Easy to add epics, easy to link epics to user stories and tasks to user stories.

Cons

For the new/beginner user - could be over whelming. Jira is a serious tool that if used effectively could manage multiple products, teams, new development, production issues/bugs, etc.

### "JIRA REVIEW-A GREAT TOOL FOR AGILE PROJECT MANAGEMENT"

June 7, 2021

4.0

We are able to manage agile teams since we are a software development company. This is important to us as we are able to project timelines for feature delivery and ultimately the entire project accurately.

Pros

I love the backlog planning feature as well as the reporting features. It is easy to use compared to some of the agile project management apps I've used before.

Cons

I Do not find the project pages feature very useful for now. I also feel that they could have had a ready integration with Accelo. Integration to our current business process was okay.

### "It works, but..."

March 26, 2020

3.0

Overall, JIRA can work. It seems to require knowing what you're doing - including understanding Agile theory, your team's preferences, and how deeply you want to use the myriad features. This is not necessarily a bad thing, of course. If you don't know how Agile works, maybe take a class and figure it out. That said, most of the people I've worked with don't have the 20+ years of process study that I have undertaken, so JIRA is configured very lightly or customized to a point where it becomes a hindrance. The UI could really stand some updates for consistency and - yes - some hand-holding for configuration.

Pros

JIRA certainly has a lot of features that should make Project Management easy. The mobile app is adequate, and the web site works well enough. There are a whole lot of places to enter data, which ends up being a bit of a downfall. When JIRA is set up well, it does support PM. When it is used as a vanilla Agile product, I think it falls behind other offerings.

Cons

JIRA has so many configuration points that it takes forever to get it working properly for your team. They have also been changing the UI a lot recently, which has obscured where some data is, which - predictably - has slowed down our use. If JIRA could get a more consistent UI, I feel it could be a much better product.

### "Advanced Project & Task Management Features...But How It's Configured is Key to Success"

August 5, 2022

5.0

Pros

I've been using Atlassian products, JIRA in particular, for over 12 years. It's come a long ways in this span in terms of advanced functionality and additional configurable content, and it's consistently proven itself as a market leader in project and task management services. JIRA reporting, dashboard, task tracking, and project development activities are comprehensively impressively designed, easy to use, and highly collaborative for internal teams.

Cons

The success an end user will yield from the software is highly dependent on it being configured in a manner that aligns with the business needs of the customer organization. For example, I've experienced instances where there are growing pains in how internal teams learn to standardize the way they tag tickets for project and task tracking and then use these identifiers to develop reports, create dashboards, and track schedules. If not setup properly by System Administrators then the ROI will be delayed, making it essential for teams to be properly educated and trained on the system. JIRA provides a wealth of content for training & education but worth noting the difficulty an organization can face if not approached strategically and with strong design plans during the discovery phase of implementation.

Switched from

[Rally](https://www.capterra.com/p/170545/CA-Agile-Central/)

There was a trial period where the organization I was at pivoted from JIRA to Rally (by Broadcom) for SCRUM operations. Rally certainly had its perks and was impressive in many ways, but we ultimately shifted back to JIRA due to the suite of offerings also in use, such as Confluence, that provided advanced needs to our business in more ways than just project or task management.

### "Jira is a great project tracking tool!"

June 29, 2022

4.0

We have kept track more closely of how many defects were found and what status those are so we can run sprints to burn down those issues. It also tracks all the portions of enhancements so nothing gets forgotten in development. Time to release can be tracked to see where issues are getting bogged down.

Pros

This product is great for tracking a project, what issues need work, how much time is expected to work, even story point voting. Every type of issue you wish to track, whether for software development, or for work within other potions of a company, can be tracked in this tool.

Cons

It could use a better search tool, or more robust search tool.

### "Jira Software Review"

November 21, 2022

4.0

Overall I have had a good experience while using Jira. There are not much cons available and it is a well developed and maintained software Service.

Pros

There are a lot of good features I have come across when using this software. Some of them being:1. Prioritization - Very Easy to classify certain types of Tickets raised through Jira if they are Critical, Medium or low priority. Definitely helps to Manage on what issues need to be looked at urgently and Manage the tickets so they get completed on time. 2. Editing/Updating Features - Very easy to update the fields in the Tickets if there is an error. A thoughtful feature. Even allows to update the people who log the tickets on the progress. 3. Easy to Use - Very user friendly. When I was first introduced to the software I was skeptical on how to use it but after 1 day it was very very easy. Did not face any issues and always kept whatever was assigned to me up to date and ensured they got completed on Time.4. Collaboration - Makes it very easy to Collab with colleagues if your working on something and need their views or expertise.

Cons

I have not faced much challenges when using Jira, but some additional things that can be improved are: 1. Issue Type - There should be a better issue type system that could come in Place. There are some issues which come up but the issue types which are available make it confusing on which type of issue to assign it as.

### "Great organizer and cross-team collaboration sprint tool"

April 26, 2021

5.0

We needed a tool that would outline and keep our sprints organized across the heavy engineering, QA, and product processes - but on top of that, it is easy for our marketing and content teams to use as well. We have many users commenting, and it keeps us very organized. We wouldn't function without it!

Pros

Really like the ability to create epics, tasks, and manage our processes through Jira. I love the ablity to see the boards know where things stand in the sprint, without having to badger our product team. I also love the new ability to filter comments in different timelines, which helps with figuring out where we are in the QA process. We heavily use Confluence (sister product?) for a MASSIVE documentation effort and it has been amazing - from a company with limited documentation to one where we have it all it has been revolutionary to our processes, and Jira/Confluence gave us that.

Cons

There are some cumbersome "done" issues where if you want to delete a task/topic, it's pretty cumbersome, BUT not a huge deal-breaker.

### "JIRA Task Mangement tool"

August 23, 2022

5.0

Pros

As I am playing the scrum agile master role so we customized the JIRA board according to our needs and used their feature in our project. Some key features help us in the Roadmap of the project, Backloging the tasks, Sprint management, and Reports of the complete sprint. It is easy to use and handled by anyone.

Cons

As I feel there is some more dashboard in such a way to align the project and task in a pictorial form because tracking of an issue is time complex and if the feature is not linked to the task/bug it is hard to find it.

Pros

Customization: Jira is highly customizable and can be tailored to meet the specific needs of a team or organization. Users can create custom workflows, fields, and issue types to fit their unique requirements.

### "Best Agile development software in my eyes"

February 11, 2022

4.0

Basically using Jira as my go-to software for tracking and managing any project be it business enterprise level or personal level. I would recommend anyone reading to this review to go try it and without a doubt, certainly you wouldn't regret ur decision!

Pros

Quick and easy management and organization of my backlog tasks, the flexibility of setting up almost any integrations for bug tracking with ease, works flawlessly when used alongside other Atlassian products like Confluence. Best pricing options seen till date. Overall takes my agile workflow to the ultimate level with the amount of extensiblity that is second to none in my opinion!

Cons

At times there is some flakiness in the outcomes of the actions but generally not a lot worrisome. Also the availability, although can be improved using a private cloud probably, does suffer some occasional hiccups here and there. The bug tracking is comparatively the most improvable area i suppose. It is good don't get me wrong, but can be so much more better with just a few tweaks here and there that's all.

### "Jira for the win!"

March 28, 2022

4.0

I can't imagine doing development and/or managing projects/teams without Jira these days. I've used all sorts of other projects like TeamForge, and Teams, Monday, Asana, Trello... we've tried it all. Those other tools I just mentioned, aren't apples-to-apples for Jira because they operate in different spaces. Jira on the other hand is like the swiss army knife of the project tacking world - I just get everything I need, and everything I don't need. (yes, I said 'don't' need on purpose - think about it).

Pros

Jira has become a defacto project management tool that goes WAY beyond project management. So many of our code development tools plug into Jira (and Jira into them) that the sheer interconnectivity of Jira is hands down the best feature.

Cons

Jira is as simple or complex as you want to make it. I've been using Jira now for around seven (7) years, and because Jira is so flexible on naming conventions, labels, ticket types, integrations, etc etc. it's easy to create a rats-nest of your own doing. Before you've realized that you've made some bad decisions in Jira, it's three (3) months too late and so many other bad decisions have been piled on that to 'undo' a simple mistake now takes weeks/months to unwind.

Cons

### "Jira - Perfect tool for Project/Task Management"

November 5, 2023

5.0

Pros

I like the most about Jira is we can easily collaborate with our team members and divide the tasks accordingly, so it is easy to manage task and achieve project agility efficiently. Another best thing I would say it's having very good user interface which supports drag and drop feature as well to move tickets or tasks to different faces of project management life cycle. And it also integrates with many third party providers which makes out workflow very manageable.

Cons

It offers limited size of message in a ticket and also restricts the size of the attachment. It it has so many tasks then sometime it is getting difficult to track particular task, so locating older tasks or tickets that someone else worked on from out team on the past can be challenging.
