It can be a bit clunky at times, but once you get the hang of it, it does the job well. Pros I like that Jira keeps everything in one place so I don’t lose track of tasks. The boards make it really easy to see what’s done and what still needs attention. Once you get used to it, it’s pretty satisfying to move tickets across the workflow Cons Sometimes it feels overly complicated, and simple tasks end up taking more clicks than they should. I like the integration of Confluence and BitBucket that are very useful. If an integrated time tracking tool is added as well, that will make it complete project management system without the need to use any other tool. Pros I manage multiple projects, and all templates are not suitable for all projects. I really like the ability to choose from multiple project templates (Sprint, Kanban etc.) available, that help me manage different types of projects with the same tool. Cons There's no inbuilt time tracking mechanism. It can be integrated with other third party time tracking tools like Clockify etc. using plugins, but an inbuilt time tracking mechanism will be more helpful. Furthermore I can keep an eye on all the incoming tasks that also my team is able to see and work on as well. The Burndown/-up charts in development based Jira projects are also quite useful in order to see how many story points the team has burned. It is also an easy way to communicate with customers. Cons Some diagrams are a bit of and also too optimistic, but it's just a minor flaw in this system. It is reliable and ubiquitous if you work in agile. If you won't know how to use a particular feature or do something, chances are someone in your team will know. Pros Jira is used pretty much everywhere for agile development. It does everything we need and more to manage our agile scrum dev work. It can be highly configured, and there are many plugins available. They have great customer support and it does take a little bit of time to get trained up to use the product but overall it’s a very robust project tracking system or task tracking system, you can use with your team to collaboration projects. Pros When it comes to Jira, I really loved how easy it was to use for task management and team collaboration. You can create projects and track your tasks for the project and assigned to team members for tracking a project until it’s finished. Cons What I liked least about Jira is that it is not customizable and you need to use all of the features and fields made available in the platform. Pros It's easy to track the lifecycle of bugs and software issues for development teams. Any individual task is easily accountable to individual people and teams. Cons I wasn't a fan of the latest updates to the user interface, I preferred the older view of kanban boards. Switched from [Spiceworks Cloud Help Desk](https://www.capterra.com/p/102709/Spiceworks-IT-Help-Desk/) We were previously using a free version of spiceworks to track issues. As funding was made available to adopt a new system it made sense to change to Jira. Pros Its pretty easy to setup and has good integration with Github. No need to manually copy and paste Jira story link into Github PRs anymore. Plus, you can use different colors to organize stories, making it easy for each team member to spot their own tasks based on their roles. So it does support deep customization, which is I like the most. Cons I do not have any complaints. Its very powerful tool for project management though.. if i need to pick one, then it would be price, especially at scale.
