It is simple to organize activities and monitor progress because the tool can be customized to meet the unique requirements of each project. Users always have access to a complete view of the status of their projects thanks to a wide variety of tracking tools, including Gantt charts and dashboards. An excellent visualization for analyzing data and other information is provided by various dashboard views. Making projects, epics, tasks, issues, and other things is simple.

Cons

There are many resources that need to be upgraded, and the Jira mobile application itself needs to be updated. If JIRA offered "suggestions" while creating Gherkin lines, it would be beneficial.

From my point of view, we find the best project management tool now, we can assign tickets to anyone and also we can track issues with our tickets, the ticket is basically worked on a project which makes updates about the project status, and has many tools for project management and has many too about customization also, we can also report another person for ticket and assign ticket bout issue ad also we can chat on separate ticket also so this all thing make jira different and must be recommended

For your info, jira is not a free tool for tracking this project information we need to pay for this, other things need us to take a little time, that's it no other issue with jira and hose are not an issue just info about it

JIRA helps to run critical development projects using agile methodology . The JIRA helps you with various metrics such as burn down charts , velocity of the sprint etc. , which is key for any projects. It also helps you to inherit the best practice the scrum or kamban follows.

Cons

The API integration of JIRA to integrate with other application can be tricky . The better documentation could help the users here!

No integration with mixpanel sometimes feel little handicapped but its fine on overall experience since we use GA

Before using Jira, I thought it was just for IT teams. As I work with marketing and sales, I was really surprised how useful it can be for our team. As we are an Agile team, we can easily plan our sprints, decide about the tasks to perform, and track them. The Kanban board is now a part of my day, and I actually really find it encouraging for my productivity. We are a relatively small team but the collaboration and sharing features are so handy for us. I think we are not using tis product with full capacity but I can say that our IT and Dev teams love it, too :)

Pros

As a team, we adopted Agile Marketing. Jira helps us a lot with our marketing planning, Kanban boards, collaboration on our tasks - sharing and commenting, checking the progress and more. It is very easy to use and customize. The reporting section is great for more insights and to see the bigger picture.

Cons

Not sure if it is a big deal for non-tech users/teams but JIra doesn't have Gantt chart by default. You can easily get one in the marketplace but you need top pay for it. The recent price push for the cloud version was impactful but still a good value for this app.

desde mi rol de Tester me permite agilizar varias tareas que es lo que se busca hoy en día pues la mayoría de empresas implementa metodología de trabajo ágil, con jira creo los planes de ciclos de pruebas, importo los casos de prueba en formato Excel, ejecuto desde jira y el mismo me da el porcentaje de cómo va dicha ejecución, entre otras más funciones que no solo me sirven en mi rol, sino para cada rol del equipo de trabajo.

Pros

Me encanta y recomiendo Jira al 100%, lo que más me gusta y utilizo a diario es el tablero para estar actualizada de cómo vamos como equipo (saber si me asignaron una tarea, actualizar el estado de mi tarea esta, y así mismo poder saber cómo van los otros miembros del equipo con sus tareas, si surgió algún bloqueante, si vamos acorde a los tiempos planteados. El tener mi propia etiqueta de rol donde solo muestre mis tareas es genial pues me permite enfocarme mejor. también se agradece la integración con otras herramientas como confluente (esta la usamos para tener toda la documentación del proyecto). sin duda tiene muchas opciones necesarias para hacer un buen seguimiento del proyecto.

Cons

debería mejorarse el performance pues cuando se llega a una gran cantidad de proyectos (más de 500 en el caso de mi compañía) la herramienta presenta demoras en cargar todo el contenido, pero es entendible por dicha cantidad, en mi caso personal lo que hago es dejar la página cargando unos segundos y listo.

Overall experience with Jira has been good, it helps me manage the daily operation and project with the scrum method on most of my projects. It requires basic knowledge of Scrum and Kanban board but once you get that, it's relatively easy to setup and starts using right away.

Pros

I like how there are options for scrum board or kanban board, where you can choose whichever you prefer based on the management method you use with your team. Every time I've introduced this tool to a new team, I had to have 15 min quick overview of how to use it after I set them up, but most of the people get it right away. I like how it follows the scrum and kanban methodology, with points, sprints, backlog, burndown feature, etc, it works well for the team who's trying to implement the scrum or kanban method to their work.

Cons

When I work on a bigger and longer project, I still need to create a Gantt chart but Jira's Gantt chart feature is very basic that there is no way for me to track details of the project. So I usually have to use different tools for the detailed Gantt chart along with Jira's scrum board to track work for each sprint. I also had a hard time duplicating tickets between two scrum boards, when a task belongs to two separate projects and needs to be tracked by both boards with both audiences.

Since it is ubiquitous and extremely well-adapted, support (either via Atlassian or community) is just top notch.

Performance. It is NOT performant. It gets the job done most of the time, but it does not scale well.

The experience with Jira has been so astounding both the usage experience and the returns we have seen from using it. It has been easy to adapt into it and we find the interface very user-friendly. In terms of benefits, Jira has elevated our project work in terms of giving us better control over each and every stage of the project. It help us to work together and give our main focus on what is of importance to us.

Pros

There is alot things we have come to like about Jira after using it for close to 4 years now. Mostly, we find 8t very useful on how it gives us a shared workspace where we can easily connect and collaborate when going about our projects. It is great tool for planning and we are able to set timelines for our work to allow us complete projects as per the deadlines. It was easy to customize it and set it up into a way it conformed exactly to the solution we were looking for.

Cons

Personally, i fail to find any specifics that i don't like about Jira since i have seen all its features work really well.

I work daily with Jira. I use it a team manager, and this tool helps me keep control of the current sprint and plan for future sprints. It saves me the need for meetings as me and the team are working on the same tool and receive notifications on any change.

Pros

Very easy to setup new projects, views, boards and board columns. Customizable through the use of tags, columns and team management. Once set up, it’s easy for the team to understand what the tasks at hand and for the team manager to assign task.

Cons

Sometimes opening task in the browser can be slow. Poor support for rtl languages. Working on tasks in backlog screen is cumbersome (the view is too small).

Jira solves many problems because it is a tool that pretty much regulates and normalizes workflow. With the help of Jira, every user knows what the problem is, if that problem is doable, its priority, and deadline. These measurements are crucial for any department to work flawlessly.

Pros

We use Jira for task management. People from other departments always register their requests/issues on Jira, this helps our team to understand our tasks much more clearly. We have been using Jira for several years, and it is inseparable for our line of duty (IT dept). The best thing is that Jira provides a centralized platform where we can see our tasks, deadlines, and priorities.

Cons

So far there is nothing particular that I do not like about Jira, since it is highly customizable. The biggest concern that I have for Jira is its reporting features. It would be great to have some KPI measurements prebuilt in Jira, so that we do not have to do it ourselves.

I use it every day to handle my outstanding chores and those of my co-workers. Unfortunately, the expense is forcing my workplace to switch to a less expensive instrument that offers fewer advantages. It is primarily intended for teams working on engineering and software.

Pros

I adore the user interface; it is incredibly intuitive, For being kind and justifiable, I adore it for allowing me to be organised and complete my tasks and projects all of these reasons. Many different functionalities. On a fundamental level, it is logical. several options for modification and adaptation. Connecting to other apps is comparatively simple.

Cons

Jira lacks an auto-refresh function. The user must reload the website in order to see the most recent Jira ticket update. In the event that a user types a mistake into the search field, the search function should be improved. The cost per user is the sole drawback, in my opinion. At first, it seems affordable, but as usage increases, the cost benefit decreases and robustness is lost.

I use JIRA in all the Agile software development for classification and bug tracking for every user with Dashboards. I am satisfied with the JIRA features but I think JIRA needs to provide more integration towards CICD tools so that user can get more idea about the bug tracking.

Pros

Easy to create Agile dashboards to track bugs in different development life cycle. We can also extract informations regarding the user specific tickets created and worked for any period of time. Also we can attache documents to gives an entire idea about the the bugs and time tracker in comment section provides how much time it takes to fix the bugs. In the software industry JIRA is one of the widely used Bug tracking platform. The idea of classification of tickets like EPIC,Task are very useful to identify the work load needed for that ticket.

Cons

Need exact date and time of the ticket creation and comments when the ticket gets older, right now it describes like the ticket is "created more two weeks ago". JIRA also needs to integration with CICD tools for more information regarding the bug tracking and fixing. JIRA should provide a dashboard for each user how much time he worked on a ticket to track the overall work time and also it will be very easy for the Administrator also.

Pros

the task assignment feature is equipped with an interface regarding the workflow being run. This makes team members, even other teams, know the progress of a project. Scrum and Kanban boards. With this feature, it is easier for a team to brainstorm. This feature is intuitive enough so that each team member can collaborate with each other to determine their work priorities. Not only that, team members can also find out about various problems from other members that were obtained during the process. There is a roadmaps feature that can let team members know about the future. With roadmaps, team members will be more focused on what they are doing. In fact, the team leader can have complete control over the various jobs that are done. Through roadmaps, the team leader can see a complete picture of the project, making decision-making easier. Jira can Connect with other applications easily, they have a lot of templates and then they have a strong community to make this software to be understood, lastly, this software has a good design, so simple, so clean and is easy to use.

Cons

Support for using a slow website, sometimes it takes too long to access the website, there are still errors in these new features which are very unfortunate because these new features are very useful to facilitate project management and lastly the prices are less competitive

Jira has a lot of features that I have found very useful however it can become really complicated due to a number of reasons which might make it cumbersome and overwhelming for new users.

Pros

I love how it can be deployed on a diverse range of operating systems and this is very advantageous for software users on different platforms. The software comes with an impressive assortment of different languages to choose from and I think this is a really great feature when we put non native English speaking users into consideration. Users have the liberty to personalize a lot of articles as the software is highly customizable and in particular I love how I can even create custom workflows. I like how the software offers seamless intergration and collaborates with tools like confluence which helps me plan and run my project more coherently. Lastly, I really appreciate how the software is great at issue management, bugs can be tracked and recorded which gives me an eyeshot of all the items in my backlog so that I can prioritize which features to work on.

Cons

First and foremost, I have found that the software comes with an overwhelming amount of features which can make task management very difficult, particularly for new users. In addition to this, the software is difficult to set up and to get used to as well. I found the user interface to be complex and this in turn makes task management to be a bit difficult. The default configuration is quite tricky and as a result presents a steep learning curve.

Pros

How easy it is to track the progress in bug reports from the support side. It is the perfect tool for support and engineering to work together to ensure customer satisfaction, and effective resolution of failures in the platform.

Cons

Overall the platform is user friendly. However there are instances in which I find it a little difficult to navigate through the dashboards. This depends on how many boards/projects there are in the organization and how big the team is as well. In our case, we have multiple teams working in multiple bug reports, which makes the dashboards much more complex.

Very positive and I wouldn't switch to any other tool as long as I am doing software development. However, if you are a smaller agency, I would suggest switching to a smaller and less extensive tool.

Pros

Ease of use and simple UI made Jira stand out vs their competitors. Furthermore, the extensive workflow / permission configurations can at first seem overwhelming, but if configured and deployed correctly, you can save 100s of hours in project management for a long term project.

Cons

The loading speed of creating new tasks or clicking and dragging tasks can becoming annoying and time wasteful. Additionally, if you are new to Jira it can be quite overwhelming and the learning curve is quite steep.
