Overall Jira is by far the most easily adaptable software and that's too with almost all the features and tools to offer in one place for all your project development needs.

Pros

Managing projects and prioritizing the tasks are super easy and fun. The analytics are also super helpful as it tells you whether you and your team are on track or not. Creating epic and putting tasks under that also saves your time and those last moment of confusion among your team.

Cons

They do not have very good integrations for design tools and software which makes a half part of your team still suffer to share their work using the same platform.

It is user friendly and enables collaboration among team members. It is easy to add links and attachments. The features are super effective in getting work done. Effect of kanban board on our project was evident

Not so easy to get accustomed to, except with training and time. The upload size may be limited for some users, depending on the projects being worked upon and documents to share

Overall I really loved the platform and the easy of use and they offer a mobile solution which allows you to manange, support and assist using your mobile device which is important which you are on the go and have customers who diesire information or support.

Pros

Coming on board with Delta I hadn't user the JIRA platform outside of submitting tickets in my past. There was a shell created by our IT team and it was a great start but with the help of an intern he and I were able to completely change and enhance the user experience on both sides for those who enter tickets and those who work or engage with tickets. The system seems a little overwhelming at first because it offers so many variations however once you really consider what you want to do and who you want to achieve it really straightforward. You're able to change and modify just about every aspect of the interface so that its complete company-specific or even department-specific is you choose. You can make it look like its an extension of your companies actual website. You can access and run reports for so many different KPI's or metrics to see preformance or SLA's and they are all realtime.

Cons

Like I stated it was a bet overwhelming bacause there are so many options and changes that can be made using JIRA however there are tons of resources as well.

I use Jira daily! It helps to keep track of progress across all our teams and projects at one time.

Pros

I've found that Jira is the perfect tool for both Product and Engineering in our organization. For Product, we are able to easy keep track of prioritized projects as well as create requirement tickets for the engineers. It makes projects easy to track over the flight of the project

Cons

The search functionality within Jira is not the best. It can be very difficult to find tickets you are looking for, especially if the Jira instance has many ticket that accumulate over time.

I appreciate Jira for its ability to streamline my team's workflow and improve our efficiency. The ability to track and manage tasks and bugs in a centralized location makes it easy for us to stay organized and on top of our workload. Furthermore, I found Jira to be very scalable, it adapts well to our team's growing needs. Overall, Jira has become a vital tool in our development process.

Cons

I would say that one thing I like least about Jira is that it can have a bit of a learning curve for new users. It has a lot of features and options, and it may take some time to become familiar with all of them. Additionally, some users may find the interface to be a bit cluttered and overwhelming. Furthermore, the customizing and configuring the workflows to fit the specific needs of my team can be a bit difficult and time-consuming. I have been using Jira for long time it is giving fantastic services and great support. It provides great reporting, due to which I can evaluate our progress. It has save my time and my energy to carry out our task more effectively by keeping everyone collaborated.

Pros

It is very easy to share files and find data in this application. It finds diversity of charts and graphs which helps in sprinting. Moreover, I do not face any issue with cut copy paste and to attach images, while creating files. Integrations of this tool keeps much importance, it provides easy mode of communication like Hip chat and Slack which helps you in commenting and tracking conversations.

Cons

Its mobile app is not so good in response and also creates problems in upload of the heavy files. I have reinstalled that application many times but still I have to face this problem. Apart from this I do not have any issue with its services.

Simplifies and streamlines various functions for various roles (product manager, project manager, development and test engineers) Intuitive to use - set up projects as simply, or as elaborately as you need Ease of integration with other Atlassian offerings, especially Confluence Ubiquity - almost everywhere I have worked, JIRA is the preferred option

Cons

Some downloads result in huge/heavy files, which can be very slow to review/manage The name - need to clarify to users whether i is a soft i, or a hard i or something else - JEE-RAH or JY-RAH

Pros

The quality of reporting and the variety of reporting available for all Jira managed project from my experience, is what sets Jira apart from substitute project management suites that I have encountered and what I like best about it. Out of the box, Jira comes with more than twelve different types of report types, which includes Burndown charts, sprint reports, velocity charts, cumulative flow diagrams etc thereby simplifying access to real time insights into my teams performances.

Cons

Jira has very limited collaboration tools, infact it offers no real time messaging tool out of the box. Also, its user interface is not very friendly and this tend to create a slow learning curve for non-technical users in my department.

Jira differentiates itself from competing project management software by providing robust capabilities like issue tracking, project planning, and workflow customization. It is also very adaptable, enabling teams to customize their workflow to meet their unique requirements.

Pros

It comes with a ton of functionality by default. It contains several levels (Teams, Projects) that may support the structure of the entire business, creating just the correct amount of separation while also allowing for the proper linkages between the various teams inside the business. May be easily integrated with the entire Atlassian ecosystem (Bitbucket, Confluence), and I highly encourage doing so because you'll have a ton of places to store any piece of your project (code, backlog, sprints, documentation). It provides you with all the tools you need to manage any Scrum or Canvas team, albeit I must stress that you will benefit more from adopting Scrum. It makes for incredibly inventive automatic build ticket systems and is simple to incorporate via code.

Cons

It's expensive and difficult to say whether it's the best tool for tiny independent teams when there are many free choices available that can manage numerous users. That is in fact the best option for businesses, but for low-budget teams, it's definitely safer to use a free alternative with no membership cap.

Very positive, have been using Jira for more than 3 years and it is definitely a must if you are working in SCRUM

Pros

It is very extensive with lots of features. It is also very flexible so if you do not need all the features you can use the ones you need and then anytime in the future you can start using the others. It is fairly user friendly, easy to get the hang of it.

Cons

It does not have a lot of reports. Some detailed reports that give you more information about the stories (duration, added child issues by date).

Using JIRA is a pleasure for our teams. On the "methodology" side of things, it's a bit more complex, as we sometimes struggle to have it work the way we need (contractually) to work with our customers. But with all the configuration and extension possibilities, it's a matter of thinking it over and filling the gaps.

Pros

I like the great number of features, the UX, the way you can configure workflows, add fields, and really tailor it to your needs (even if you have to deal with very different contexts in the same instance). Having a rich API is also something I value a lot. Extension through marketplace module is also a big plus.

Cons

Well, Jira Cloud is perfect to handle agile projects, but you have to struggle a lot when you need to address fixed price projects with strict budget management and a clear separation between your customers and your internal teams. Time tracking could also be better (without requiring extra module/money with Tempo). The ability to group projects (of have subprojects) is also missing

Overall I can say, Jira is easy for multiple projects, you can generate reports freely, I consider it is best for small teams that work together as a big team.

Pros

I like Jira mostly for its ability to customize different boards. We have multiple teams in our company and this is really of help. I also like the transparency, you can assign anything to anyone and it's available for everyone, no need to email, follow up, everything in one place

Cons

It really takes time to adjust to the software, but once you get there, everything is great. I suggest to have less mandatory fields while opening a task. Also the limitation of file size upload needs to be changed.

Overall, we have had a very productive experience, As we are a software-focused company, Jira has made project management and issue tracking very smooth for us.

Pros

Jira task management is super customizable and so intuitive to use. We have 5 boards for 5 separate projects and have more than 3 people working on the same project. The git integration is such a time saver and makes communication between devs much easier as it's very difficult to track changes with bitbucket only as there are a lot of updates every day. We have also recently started to merge Freshdesk with Jira, The experience so far has been really good as everything is connected.

Cons

I don't dislike anything in particular. One thing I would like to see is time tracking, though I suspect they might already have this or maybe we can achieve with some other tool and integrate it with jira.

Utilizzo JIRA come tool base per la gestione dei progetti Agile dove il progetto viene suddiviso in stream e c'è necessità che tutto il team conosca le attività e le relative scadenze, anche quelle che vengono seguite da team members diversi. Anche nei progetti gestiti in forma più tradizionale (dove rivesto il ruolo di Project Manager anzichè di Scrum Master) utilizzo JIRA come supporto per la gestione del gruppo di lavoro

Pros

Con JIRA è possibile gestire i progetti in modalità Agile. Ciò significa che tutti i task da realizzare possono essere inseriti in un cd. "backlog" e quindi assegnati alle persone che li prendono in carica, fissando scadenze. Una delle caratteristiche positive è che le attività possono essere spostate da una sezione all'altra senza vincoli (quindi un'attività può essere spostata dalla sezione "da fare" a quella "test" ma anche viceversa). JIRA dà la possibilità di visualizzare con un unico colpo d'occhio come sono distribuite le attività di progetto sia per quanto riguarda il numero di attività assegnate a ciascuna persona, sia per quanto riguarda le attività considerate per ciascuno stream. Infine dà una visione immediata di quante sono le attività completate e quante quelle in ritardo

Cons

JIRA ha enormi potenzialità ma richiede parecchia formazione per sfruttare al meglio tutte le risorse. Ad ogni modo Atlassian, sul suo sito, offre una formazione gratuita fruibile online in lingua inglese.

This we use daily in our project to narrate story points , to implement our software in an agile methodology. this is very easy to use.

Pros

Product is very easy to us. We can make topics as an entity and then group our tasks based on topics. And Add to watch is also nice addon feature which helps to keep an eye on task. And In The search functionality and or conditions can be used to filter search results.

Cons

sometimes the product gets hanged up and need to refresh back the form.

Ich nutze Jira schon viele Jahre und bin im großen und ganzen sehr zufrieden. Man stößt wie bei jeder Software an Grenzen und kann nicht ALLES umsetzen, aber das Meiste geht. Insbesondere für kleinere Teams, die ohne Kosten eine Projektmanagement Software testen wollen eignet sich das kostenlose Testmodell.

Pros

Jira bietet eine gute Struktur wenn man nach dem SCRUM Framework agile Teams steuern möchte. Man kann hier sehr komfortabel über Templates die nötigen Strukturen anlegen und hat viele Möglichkeiten diese anzupassen. Auch die Administration von Rollen und die Verknüpfung mit weiteren Angeboten von Atlassian funktionieren gut. Die Community ist sehr aktiv.

Cons

Einige sehr einfache Funktionen, die von der Community gewünscht und kommuniziert werden, werden trotz geringem Implementierungsaufwand nicht eingeführt. Keiner versteht wieso (Beispiel: Burndown-Chart mit Berücksichtigung von 5 Werktagen und ohne Wochenende)

To some degree, it works for the handling of my daily tickets and work day to day. For that, I have no complaints. It could certainly use a lot of quality of life updates however, to not make it so stressful sometimes.

Pros

You have the ability to integrate/link to other platforms (such as Zendesk), which can be useful for cross-integration work. There is a nice ability to enter a ticket name and number, and it'll let you see the status of that ticket right then and there. It is overall serviceable and for basic ticket creation, tracking, and updating, you have what you need if you need a SaaS project/ticket management system.

Cons

Quality of life features are lacking, often neglected for years, before being closed out as an issue that won't be resolved. Examples of QoL features lacking are: Inability to open links in a new window (this even extends to the Atlassian website...), sorting tickets by name/title (absolutely awful if you are working with them in a specific order), filters timing out after an amount of time requiring a hard refresh, no easily accessed filter for tickets watched (you'll have to figure out how to do this manually). The software also is quite slow in certain parts. Another gripe is the eventually forced UI update, due to the fact that it OBSCURES MORE information off the bat, which is exactly what you wouldn't want when looking at a ticket's details. Their JIRA Slack apps also have a very annoying 'feature' that constantly bugs you to let it connect to your account, with no option to permanently block it - only temporarily snooze.
