Cons

1) Cannot integrate with systems to cover automated test case coverage. 2) Customized burn down charts are not available

### "Easy to use and my best friend for project management"

September 14, 2022

5.0

Pros

Jira is a great project management tool. I use it for all my projects and in addition to tracking the progress of each task, Jira helps me keep track of the overall project goals and objectives. It also provides real-time reporting which allows me to analyze where we are at any given time so that I can stay on top of things. It's extremely useful in keeping tabs on your progress as you move along through a series of tasks or when you're working with multiple teams who may be developing different parts within one bigger project.

Cons

The UX can be a bit more user friendly. Right now, i have to shuffle between tabs more frequently.

### "Good Experience"

October 12, 2023

5.0

It helps me to make sprints of my list of tasks according to the priority and after one sprint is completed before the time it is very to shift on the sprint. my experience with Jira's is very good.

Pros

Jira software gives a good project management system and helps to track the progress of tasks. most things like Jira's robust bitbucket services that are easy to set up and deploy code.

Cons

I dislike Jira software's time log-in tasks when we want to add the exact starting time of the ticket.

### "Efficient Task Management and Collaboration with JIRA: A Game-Changer for Project Success""

May 15, 2023

4.0

Pros

What I love most about JIRA is its robust task management capabilities. It empowers me to efficiently organize tasks, assign responsibilities, and collaborate seamlessly. With JIRA, I can track and prioritize tasks effectively, leading to improved project success and enhanced team productivity.

Cons

What I like least about JIRA is its steep learning curve for new users. Initially, navigating through the various features and setting up workflows can be overwhelming. However, with time and practice, it becomes easier to harness its full potential for efficient task management.

### "Managin Technical Projects The Right Way"

November 19, 2018

5.0

JIRA has lots of features and functionalities than can take time to master. From most project management applications' perspective, JIRA is one of the most complex to master. But it truly is the most complete in terms of offering development teams all the tools they need. This means that trying to run a fairly large and complex enterprise environment on JIRA might need the addition of a JIRA administrator to keep things organized.

Pros

JIRA offers true Agile support for managing technical projects. Initially developed by developers for developers, JIRA is a powerful tool that captures more than just the project management aspect of any development project. JIRA offers a complete suite of issue tracking throughout the development life cycle. Starting with the backlog and planning, JIRA lets you layout your entire project across as many iterations (Sprints) as necessary. It provides ease of tracking the project progress and offers a host of tools for collaboration such as commenting threads. Projects and their projects can also be tracked across releases, with its release management capabilities, and provide comprehensive reports on performance and progress. JIRA is extremely flexible and offers pre-set templates across all functionalities, and allows you to modify them as neededto fit your team and organization's needs. Unlike some products with rigidity built into them, JIRA allows you to define how your team works. JIRA has a vast number of integrations and add-ons to further enhance its capabilities.

Cons

JIRA is very powerful and very detailed. So much so, that some users often find it quite cumbersome if their development environments are not complex. Essentially, JIRA fits beautifully in any environment, but is extremely robust for enterprise environments, making it perceptively complex in small simple projects.

### "Widely used software for ticket/task tracking"

June 22, 2022

3.0

Pros

The nice thing about Jira is that most tech companies use their software for task management and setting up workflows. When working with different companies and teams, their systems can integrate which makes it easy to organize work.

Cons

Jira has a lot of quirks to be aware of when using their software. The interface, navigation, documentation, etc. is not exactly user friendly. Occasionally you will look for a solution for a problem you have, only to find Atlassian's fix is to buy a separate addon. It's a decent software for managing team's work, but there's a lot to be aware of for first-time users.

### "Jira, an effective Atlassian tool for software vendors"

January 5, 2024

5.0

Love Jira, I believe there isn't a better tool – at the moment.

Pros

Love the fact you can create multiple projects where members can work on, collaborate, follow workflows, which improves efficiency, reduces mistakes and will make sure you know what to do.

Cons

It could have a save or future publish feature when writing Jira issues. Out of fear I save them sometimes manually to prevent rewriting the whole issue again when I close the tap.

### "Works great for Software Project Management, I wish the configurations were easier to set up. "

October 12, 2020

4.0

We are overall very satisfied with the product as the user side of the things are very solid. The administration is quite complex and if you are doing it on your own, it will take a long time and a lot of hours reading their forums to get things right.

Pros

The task tracking and overall reporting are pretty solid. If configured properly, you will not miss on any updates and can proactively resolve blockers.

Cons

The configuration. They are very complicated and you cannot expect a new user to get it right and that's why there are dedicate people who set up this. We did it on our own and it took us a couple of months to get things right.

DeskPro was slow and confusing. It's the opposite - the admin interface is pretty solid while the user interface was a lot to wish for.

### "Great for large organizations, incredibly flexible, but not often difficult to use."

January 16, 2018

4.0

It helps my team and my company keep track of all the features and bugs we are working on, and is a powerful project planning and organizational tool. The integrations with GitHub, Zendesk, and Power BI are incredibly valuable, and help automate much of our issue management.

Pros

Jira works incredibly well for large organizations, allowing each team to have their own workspace for projects, epics, user stories, and bug tracking. It is incredibly flexible, allowing each team to customize the fields that appear on each issue. This lets the teams customize their workflows, and makes it possible to manage very diverse teams such as art, development, and marketing all within the same system. It has very powerful integrations with tools like GitHub, ZenDesk, and Power BI, which helps automate issue tracking and provide organization-wide statistics and analysis. Flat-fee pricing for small teams is very competitive for the amount of power it provides.

Cons

Way too much overhead to actually get started. Jira is so flexible that you have to invest a lot of time to get it working the way you want. The layout of the interface isn't very intuitive and can take a lot of time to learn. They sacrifice usability for flexibility, which is a blessing and a curse. This tool is far too complex for a small company or team, although it may be a good choice if the company is growing quickly or manages very diverse teams.

### "Top of the line, but costly"

April 14, 2021

5.0

Pros

Allows integration with internal systems at the company. Product that performs well and can track all work that is being done across all teams and departments.

Cons

\- Cost is very high since Jira Server products will be discontinued by 2024. Existing customers need to switch to Jira Cloud or Jira Data Center. - Many features are not available in Jira directly and customers need to buy 3rd party plugins from the Atlassian marketplace. - Training must be done for new users of Jira to cover the basic features of the tool.

### " jira assessment with software engineer experience"

June 20, 2022

4.0

i have been working as a software engineer for 7 years. At least 3 years i managed 3 different products and 2 different projects. They include requirement management, task tracing more than 5 person's, weekly scrum management etc.

Pros

Kanban management and task tracing are most powerful feature. I can easy to manage my task in this application.

Cons

Sometimes more flexible usage cause of bad experience. Sometimes i hard to manage revert status change. If i can change status easily, i can not remove history of tasks.

### "A good system, with a good search engine."

September 18, 2021

4.0

My experience has been good overall, I recommend that it be implemented, it is certainly much better than others available.

Pros

I use Jira on a daily basis, mainly as the main contact with developers in terms of tracking and updating bugs of the products my company offers: videoconferencing hardware. What I like the most is the advanced search engine, which allows you to use several combinations, even more than famous search engines like Google. This makes Jira a fairly comprehensive database for known or already created problems.

Cons

The integration with Salesforce could be better, since Jira in general has several essential options camouflaged in others that are less used, for example, I do not find utility in the tabs: Metrics, Root cause, Other, although they are important, they almost go unnoticed given the design of the page itself.

### "A Highly Effective Tool for Project Management and Collaboration"

January 21, 2023

5.0

I've had a great experience with Jira. It's an incredibly powerful project management tool that allows for real-time collaboration and planning. It's easy to use and intuitive, and I've found it to be an essential tool for staying organized and keeping track of progress. The flexibility of the platform makes it a great fit for any type of project, from small to large scale initiatives.

Pros

I liked that JIRA was very user friendly and could be customized to fit whatever project or workflow I was trying to manage. It was also great that it allowed for collaboration among team members and was able to track progress and tasks with ease. Additionally, I loved the fact that JIRA could be integrated with other tools and services, which allowed me to easily create reports and manage my tasks and projects with more efficiency.

Cons

The least liked thing about JIRA is the complexity of the system and the difficulty of learning how to use it. It can be quite overwhelming for users who are not familiar with the system, and it can take a long time to learn how to use it effectively. Additionally, the cost of the system can be prohibitive for smaller organizations.
