Pros

Easy of use, almost no need of training while onboarding someone new to tool, easy integration with huge number of add-ons to offer Agile, DevOps and DevSecOps solutions.

Cons

For scaled Agile, it needs to depend on some add-ons which are very costly.

I use Jira with a startup project with 3 members and another project with 18 members. In both cases, I have a good experience using Jira because it is easy to use. We schedule the project tasks, we share the tasks, we share a shared dashboard and we have use Scrum and Kanban methodology using Jira.

Pros

It is easy to learn how to use. It has a lot of views for managing tasks of a team. You can have a shared dashboard where you can see the progress of the work of your team. You can schedule the tasks, the start date and end date.

Cons

I think the reporting functionality could be improved. It is not intuitive. Also it is not powerfull. Also there adminitration options that aren't easy to find, for example how to configure your notifications.

Overall really great tool. Not sure any other tool on par with Jira exists in the market.

Pros

It does the job of tracking tasks very well. Also integration with bitbucket and creating the branches directly from a task helps with correlating a code change with actual product requirements.

Cons

Movement of tasks between boards is lengthy process. Also There should be a minimalistic view of the tool based on use case. It will help with doing user specific task more efficiently.

Pros

At our company, we love using Atlassian products, and Jira is one of them. It makes task management so easy and straightforward! You can create different dashboards and organise them by project or team, and see who owns what per task... all in one view. It's very easy to use and great for collaborating with or across teams.

Cons

I believe the initial setup could be optimised, we always have someone with some tech background set up the project at the beginning. Once this is running, it's as easy as it gets! It's also a bit pricey compared to other solutions.

I consider Jira a must have to almost any team that develops software. I've worked with it for about 5 years now and I've tried a lot of alternatives. Jira is the software that makes the most sense to me for how I think things should work. Whether we follow a SCRUM workflow or a Kanban style, it adapts well to pretty much all needs. We have integrated with github to autotrack branches and commits, which makes it way better.

Pros

Creating tickets, epics and sprints is very easy and straightforward. It does what you expect it to do in the way you expect it to do. The reporting is very feature rich and if you really integrate it into your workflow is absolutely amazing.

Cons

Some parts of the UI are a little bit "heavy", so it sometimes can lag.

Initially gets difficult to get used to it, as user interface is not too great, but once you are familiar with it, you can play around.

We can create multiple stories for each epic by giving them the priotity and also time tracking can be done daily. Also, one can see the work log for every ticket which we create in Jira, making it easier for anyone across organisation to track the ticket efficiently.

Pros

Jira is the best product for Product Management where we can create Epics, stories inside those epics and bugs for each story. In short, we can track issues, bug tracking based on the priorities, organize the progress of each story, etc.I would say Jira is the best software for any agile development environment.

Cons

No cons as of now. I can only see the pros of using Jira.

Pros

Jira is the most effective project management software I've ever used. It has become a comprehensive solution for monitoring the status of a project. It helps me consider epics, storylines, projects, bugs, and ways to make things better. I can set up many projects and a scrum board. It helps me to keep track of all tasks assigned to me as well as those I've generated myself. It is outstanding.

Cons

Almost nothing is wrong with Jira. Jira is easy to use but managing it may need a comprehensive understanding of the technology or further training.

I am currently using Jira in conjunction with a data engineering team to structure its workflows and to map out future work. In the past, on one-man teams, I've used it just to catalog my own work and to segment demand by requesting teams/parties.

Pros

Jira is a solid platform for workflow management. It won't add a ton of value if your team is not already organized, but it works pretty well once you have a certain degree of organization and understanding of the platform. It's very easy to use Jira in its simplest form.

Cons

Jira continues to surprise and frustrate me despite my years of using it. This is partly because of how I've seen it used -- e.g., organization locks it down to an almost inflexible state -- rather than the software itself, but I think Jira encourages some inflexibility. Jira is also pretty hard to "master," especially when it is locked down. Some fundamentals, such as backlog management and reporting, can be very painful without teams organizing around the platform. Despite its apparent simplicity, Jira, or at least some of its aspect, feel ineluctably like time-sinks.

Pros

Our teams work across many domains in robotics and Jira is a useful platform for collecting and archiving information about our products. Information like bugs and feature requests can be linked to other projects for effective traceability. Jira is also helping our teams do Scrum sprint planning.

Cons

Out-of-the-box Jira is lacking in dashboard analytics that would help managers get an overview of project tracking across many teams. It would be helpful to have more permissions levels in projects to take some load off of admins.

### "First class service desk offering"

We have used this product from the very day we christened our service desk. It has evolved into an enterprise-class, feature-rich ticketing system that we have integrated with several external directories for our customers. So far, we haven't found a requested feature that we couldn't implement easily in Jira and the value proposition is strong. We recently migrated from an on-prem solution to one of their cloud offerings, mostly for ease of customer access, and have been thoroughly pleased.

Pros

Of course there's a little confirmational bias in any review of a product already acquired, but implementing it really was a thoughtful decision. Over the last few years, this product has really matured. When we started with it as an immature FOSS offering, it wasn't really enterprise-class. We were motivated by cost initially, but Atlassian has really grown it. Now with external directory integration, tiered hosting offerings, MSP-level features, and significant customization available, I can't think of another product that beats the value proposition. My most favorite feature? The return on investment. We use this to manage service desk interactions with more than 25 MSP clients, and have never been let down. It costs us less than weekly staff meeting pizza to operate and integration with other Atlassian products is superb.

Cons

Much of the branding customizations fall flat. Inability to resize or edit logos, the prominently featured plugs for Atlassian throughout the UI, and clunky DNS-tricks requires to redirect customer portal URLs to MSP's domain.

Pros

Il est particulierement utile dans de très grande entreprise avec la possibilité de creer plusieurs DASHBORD en fonction du projet et même des métiers. le suivit des taches est aisé, le suivit des ticket et bug également fluide. Le Dashbord est simple et très lisible

Cons

Grande complexité pour la mise en place et la configuration. Necéssite même la presence d'un expert. Son est prohibitif et donc reservé aux grandes entreprise.

For some reason, we adopted Jira as a project management tool for our marketing team and did not find it to be a good fit. I have used it in past roles to work with IT teams, and had no issues there. But for managing the operations of a large, collaborative, remote marketing team, we were constantly confused about how it worked, couldn't find tasks we knew we were there and losing a grip on actually using Jira to manage a project to the end.

Pros

Jira has a fairly clean interface that is easy enough to navigate without knowing the tool super well.

Cons

As a marketer, I found Jira to be far too complex for managing marketing tasks, workflows and projects. It is too easy to fall down rabbit holes of dependencies and child tasks and not be able to find what you were looking for to begin with. The issue numbering system also feels a bit too technical and can create confusion between parent and child tasks. Our marketing team would have benefitted more from just seeing the title of a task, not a string of numbers. To use Jira well, it desperately needs established governance for how your team will use it and someone to regulate and maintain that system in order to keep the team from getting frustrated but it.

Pros

The beauty of Jira is that it is entirely customizable to each individual team's needs. Separate teams can still work together and still use separate workflows.

Cons

One major downside to Jira is that it is complicated to configure. With so many available customizations, if people don't know what they are doing, it can get very messy and complex VERY fast.

Wonderful my organization uses Jira and Jama for a great majority of tasks.

Pros

Very easy to use. Very open to different types of project and time management applications. Seamless integration with Cyber security tools such as Darktrace and Bitdefender.

Cons

A little rough in terms of deployment a lot of users were un familiar with how to use the product correctly.

Jira is a great tool overall for project planning, tracking deliverables, tracking time, and it can be coupled with other third-party programs like Copado, which is used as a CI/CD solution for Salesforce migrations. Jira gave us the ability to create unique workflow proposals for each of our goods and the developments we work on, which significantly helped the process flow on track, allowed us to manage production rates and uphold agreed-upon delivery dates, and improved our capacity to make the necessary adjustments to plans in light of the project's actual circumstances.

Pros

high degree of interoperability and wide use. connects to a variety of different tools for increasing productivity. The product team continuously makes enhancements. The program is exceptionally lightweight both in terms of deployment and use. It enables for continuous data storage as you type, which is a fairly fantastic feature. The user interface is also quite well planned out and easy to use across a variety of displays.

Cons

The absence of a sound notification option in Jira is the only negative I have come across while using it. Jira, for instance, doesn't play a sound when a new ticket is created while the user is working with tickets.

Pros

Continuous Improvement and Tracking of Jira stories.Also details of each story in the form of jira comments and hours logged on that particular story.

Cons

Permissions to edit the stories.As a developer , i can’t edit the story or add/delete stories in between the sprint.

I am a daily user of JIRA. My team uses it for project management, to collaborate with everyone to get a job done. I love using the system, love that it's cloud-based, and it supports common shortcuts which speeds up the work I do in JIRA. Very easy to log notes!

Pros

I love that JIRA is cloud-based so you can access your tickets from anywhere. I also love that it's very easy to see what your team is working on. It's also very easy to manage your own tickets and collaborate across teams and with other people by sharing the ticket with them.

Cons

A few years ago, JIRA updated to their most recent version, and it was a rather large update. I wish that I had had more knowledge about the update from JIRA, or more notification that the update was scheduled, and what pertained to the update.
