### "Jira is a great project tracking tool!"

June 29, 2022

4.0

We have kept track more closely of how many defects were found and what status those are so we can run sprints to burn down those issues. It also tracks all the portions of enhancements so nothing gets forgotten in development. Time to release can be tracked to see where issues are getting bogged down.

Pros

This product is great for tracking a project, what issues need work, how much time is expected to work, even story point voting. Every type of issue you wish to track, whether for software development, or for work within other potions of a company, can be tracked in this tool.

Cons

It could use a better search tool, or more robust search tool.

### "Jira Software Review"

November 21, 2022

4.0

Overall I have had a good experience while using Jira. There are not much cons available and it is a well developed and maintained software Service.

Pros

There are a lot of good features I have come across when using this software. Some of them being:1. Prioritization - Very Easy to classify certain types of Tickets raised through Jira if they are Critical, Medium or low priority. Definitely helps to Manage on what issues need to be looked at urgently and Manage the tickets so they get completed on time. 2. Editing/Updating Features - Very easy to update the fields in the Tickets if there is an error. A thoughtful feature. Even allows to update the people who log the tickets on the progress. 3. Easy to Use - Very user friendly. When I was first introduced to the software I was skeptical on how to use it but after 1 day it was very very easy. Did not face any issues and always kept whatever was assigned to me up to date and ensured they got completed on Time.4. Collaboration - Makes it very easy to Collab with colleagues if your working on something and need their views or expertise.

Cons

I have not faced much challenges when using Jira, but some additional things that can be improved are: 1. Issue Type - There should be a better issue type system that could come in Place. There are some issues which come up but the issue types which are available make it confusing on which type of issue to assign it as.

### "Great organizer and cross-team collaboration sprint tool"

April 26, 2021

5.0

We needed a tool that would outline and keep our sprints organized across the heavy engineering, QA, and product processes - but on top of that, it is easy for our marketing and content teams to use as well. We have many users commenting, and it keeps us very organized. We wouldn't function without it!

Pros

Really like the ability to create epics, tasks, and manage our processes through Jira. I love the ablity to see the boards know where things stand in the sprint, without having to badger our product team. I also love the new ability to filter comments in different timelines, which helps with figuring out where we are in the QA process. We heavily use Confluence (sister product?) for a MASSIVE documentation effort and it has been amazing - from a company with limited documentation to one where we have it all it has been revolutionary to our processes, and Jira/Confluence gave us that.

Cons

There are some cumbersome "done" issues where if you want to delete a task/topic, it's pretty cumbersome, BUT not a huge deal-breaker.

### "JIRA Task Mangement tool"

August 23, 2022

5.0

Pros

As I am playing the scrum agile master role so we customized the JIRA board according to our needs and used their feature in our project. Some key features help us in the Roadmap of the project, Backloging the tasks, Sprint management, and Reports of the complete sprint. It is easy to use and handled by anyone.

Cons

As I feel there is some more dashboard in such a way to align the project and task in a pictorial form because tracking of an issue is time complex and if the feature is not linked to the task/bug it is hard to find it.

### "I really liked my Jira experience"

March 15, 2023

5.0

I appreciate the flexibility and customizability that Jira offers. I've been able to create custom workflows and issue types that are tailored to my team's specific needs

Pros

Customization: Jira is highly customizable and can be tailored to meet the specific needs of a team or organization. Users can create custom workflows, fields, and issue types to fit their unique requirements.

Cons

Complexity: Jira can be complex and difficult to set up and use, especially for users who are not familiar with project management software.

### "Best Agile development software in my eyes"

February 11, 2022

4.0

Basically using Jira as my go-to software for tracking and managing any project be it business enterprise level or personal level. I would recommend anyone reading to this review to go try it and without a doubt, certainly you wouldn't regret ur decision!

Pros

Quick and easy management and organization of my backlog tasks, the flexibility of setting up almost any integrations for bug tracking with ease, works flawlessly when used alongside other Atlassian products like Confluence. Best pricing options seen till date. Overall takes my agile workflow to the ultimate level with the amount of extensiblity that is second to none in my opinion!

Cons

At times there is some flakiness in the outcomes of the actions but generally not a lot worrisome. Also the availability, although can be improved using a private cloud probably, does suffer some occasional hiccups here and there. The bug tracking is comparatively the most improvable area i suppose. It is good don't get me wrong, but can be so much more better with just a few tweaks here and there that's all.

### "Cornerstone of AGILE software development"

May 11, 2022

JIRA is the most widely used tool aiding SCRUM methodologies. It has different versions for different teams and has feature support across the board. Indeed THE solution to SCRUM team requirements.

Pros

JIRA is a complete tool for SCRM teams. It features a wide variety of features catering to the needs of every level of an organisation. That includes task creation and tracking for engineers and reporting tools with auto-created beautiful graphs and charts for managers.

Cons

There are a lot of flavours(read versions) of JIRA. Each version caters to a particular set of requirements. It is very easy to lose money buying the wrong version. So buy carefully.

### "Jira for the win!"

March 28, 2022

4.0

I can't imagine doing development and/or managing projects/teams without Jira these days. I've used all sorts of other projects like TeamForge, and Teams, Monday, Asana, Trello... we've tried it all. Those other tools I just mentioned, aren't apples-to-apples for Jira because they operate in different spaces. Jira on the other hand is like the swiss army knife of the project tacking world - I just get everything I need, and everything I don't need. (yes, I said 'don't' need on purpose - think about it).

Pros

Jira has become a defacto project management tool that goes WAY beyond project management. So many of our code development tools plug into Jira (and Jira into them) that the sheer interconnectivity of Jira is hands down the best feature.

Cons

Jira is as simple or complex as you want to make it. I've been using Jira now for around seven (7) years, and because Jira is so flexible on naming conventions, labels, ticket types, integrations, etc etc. it's easy to create a rats-nest of your own doing. Before you've realized that you've made some bad decisions in Jira, it's three (3) months too late and so many other bad decisions have been piled on that to 'undo' a simple mistake now takes weeks/months to unwind.

### "Great For Bug Tracking, Project Planning, And Forecasting All In On Nice Neat Package."

January 5, 2022

5.0

Pros

Allows for as simple or complex bug tracking as you need, users can easily create a flow that is customized to what their organization needs. Allows for easy collaboration between users in all disciplines to be able to work towards completing an objective and show what was/wasn't completed.

Cons

Project management could use some upgrading. Some more complex projects are hard for new users to get used to, to be able to use Jira to its full potential. A lot of work needs to be put in to get Jira how your organization potentially needs to use it.

### "Jira - Perfect tool for Project/Task Management"

November 5, 2023

5.0

Pros

I like the most about Jira is we can easily collaborate with our team members and divide the tasks accordingly, so it is easy to manage task and achieve project agility efficiently. Another best thing I would say it's having very good user interface which supports drag and drop feature as well to move tickets or tasks to different faces of project management life cycle. And it also integrates with many third party providers which makes out workflow very manageable.

Cons

It offers limited size of message in a ticket and also restricts the size of the attachment. It it has so many tasks then sometime it is getting difficult to track particular task, so locating older tasks or tickets that someone else worked on from out team on the past can be challenging.

### "Enterprise Task Management"

September 27, 2020

5.0

Jira is a strong, industry-standard project management and task tracking service that is flexible enough to allow different types of teams (software, legal, IT, etc.) to work on the same platform.

Pros

Jira has a strong SaaS-based offering that makes the administration and operation of the product simple and easy. The software has multiple options for viewing tasks (from project-task style to Kanban style) which allows different teams to be flexible and use different formats.

Cons

The difficulty of running the hosted version of the software with custom plugins is almost unacceptable for enterprise-grade software. The concept that enterprise project-management software requires dedicated IT assets to service and maintenance increases the overhead of the software to unacceptable levels. If a deployment requires a host, non-SaaS version of the software with custom plugins, reconsider.

### "Jira-It took a while, but now I know it's the most awesome ticketing option out there!"

November 30, 2021

4.0

Jira is helping us track and develop a new software application for our company users and I'm really not sure where we would be without it. Our Development team is spread out across the U.S. and Jira has helped to bring everyone together to be on the same page of the project to successfully move it forward. Planning, tracking, and supporting our new software system is much, much easier with Jira than with any other product out there.

Pros

Jira is what we are bringing our new software to life with. I have found that the ability to create one ticket and pass it through the planning stages, prioritization, product, development, then education and support is brilliant. Our development team is vast, each having a different skillset. A ticket is created as an idea, or (gasp!) bug, and that ticket is then moved through all the necessary channels and team members until it's implemented into the software. At first, I was skeptical of Jira but over time I've come to love it just for the tracking and productivity aspects. Then you add in the analytics and it can blow your mind, in a good way.

Cons

I had to absorb all that Jira could do in small bites. The learning curve of Jira is INTENSE and I'll admit, I still don't know everything there is to know but as I use it more and more, I've come to appreciate how complex Jira CAN be.

### "There are many programs to manage projects and teams, but they are not Jira"

October 27, 2022

4.0

As I already mentioned in the example of use in the Pros section, from the simplest project (a shopping list), to the most complex, the integration of several work teams from different areas and several very diverse projects, You need software that makes work, communication and organization easier.Jira offers us that, simplifying the management, planning and management of issues, without Jira, order becomes chaos.

Pros

I will give an example of how I used it on one occasion and the advantages of having had this software.I was hired by a digital marketing company to improve proprietary applications, internal APIs, creation and migration of landing pages made in WP for our clients, migration of PHP applications to Python, server management, diversity of containers... The DevOps who was doing all that work left the company. An external audit was hired that provided workers spread all over the world, Spain, India, Latam...So we find ourselves with a lot of work, from very different areas, work environments and projects of all kinds and just one person to manage everything. With Jira we all worked under the same environment to organize tasks, but above all incidents and bugs, and with the need to manage the priorities of each new element that entered our work boards. At a glance, I could assign tasks, review code, refactor or modify it, and upload it to the test servers. Review the tickets, with screenshots of the errors or the new results that should be obtained. Keep in touch with everyone from one place and also receive all feedback in Jira.It was months of hard work, without Jira it would have been impossible to manage it.

Cons

Despite having Jira with everything necessary for software development, sometimes it becomes more complex and less visual than if we accompany it with some extras, also from Atlassian. So it is easier for some boards or planning to use Trello, GitHub or Bitbucket for continuous integration, Sourcetree to make the different branches and versions more visual, Composer for team collaboration...

### "The 2022 Tool for Agile Project Management."

January 31, 2022

5.0

If there is a project management tool that startup companies or organizations need, then let it be Jira. I bet none will regret because the pricing is so low, thus affordable to all. I love Jira and I'll highly recommend this to anyone.

Pros

\- Agile project management is the ultimate reason as to why jira has become useful in our organization. One is able to assign and follow-up with tasks. - Jira software is easy to use. - Jira's analytic tool helps in the creation of data driven insights to propel the team forward. - Customization of the jira workflow makes it easy and flexible for the team as they execute their duties. - Workflow tracking has also been possible on jira. - Integration with third party software products like Slack has made the whole user experience amazing. - API integrations can also be done since jira provides space for that. - The filters on the platform are incredible.

Cons

Just to mention, the jira software is simple to use and thus if there be more improvements, we shall fully embrace this from our end.

### "Flexible but not at all fun"

October 28, 2019

5.0

Originally we wanted Jira to be the place for Product and Development. But we soon realised that we needed a separate app for the product team instead. So now the product team work outside Jira and only when it's ready for Development will a ticket get created and planned in the backlog ready for a sprint. Jira helps the Product Manager to know the status of features, bugs and tasks and allows the development team to ask questions relating to the ticket in the comment section. That way there is full visibility of the discussions for future reference.

Pros

The biggest strength that Jira has to offer is how customisable the app is. We're forever fine tuning how how development flows are setup and I've never run into an issue where what we wanted to achieve could not be possible. The workflow editor is pretty straight forward once you figure out how to map these to specific projects and features. It also has a mammoth number of apps that can integrate with it, which can greatly help simplify your organisations stack. We use a bunch of apps that connect to Jira such as Slack and Git. The mobile app is pretty good and more simple to use. There's also a new iOS app that you can run on a mac that seems to be a slightly faster and more user friendly version. However, I haven't quite worked out how to tailor the notifications. The search is very powerful!

Cons

It is very slow to load pages and jump between stories. When using this on a daily basis it really gets annoying. When we need to change a setting it's hard to work out where to go. I have to say I've never seen another app quite like Jira which has so many different places to go to in order to change very similar settings. If someone accidentally creates a ticket with the wrong type the only way to change it is to Move the ticket. And I can't seem to change the status of the ticket at the same time. So often an Open bug ticket becomes an Open feature ticket, which really should still be in Draft.

### "Jira, a complete platform that increases productivity and successful execution of projects."

March 10, 2023

5.0

With JIRA, we can easily assign the priority to each task, to have an objective way that allows us to determine in which tasks we should allocate the greatest effort of our workers and which ones can be rescheduled.Another important aspect is precisely the recording of the progress of the activities, since in JIRA we can do it simply by belonging to the team members who have this role, and in this way, not only the project manager is responsible for doing it , but now it is treated as a collaborative and incremental work, lightening the workloads, execution, and the rest of the activities.

Pros

JIRA is a project management platform that definitely increases visibility and promotes collaboration, with multidisciplinary and even multicultural work teams. Jira organizes the planning and execution of almost any type of project extremely quickly, from large or large, where multiple tasks are supervised, and with a high degree of complexity, to flexible implementations that require simple and collaborative work.In this way, with JIRA we manage the entire execution cycle and even subsequent phases associated with evolutionary maintenance, roadmap, and support.

Cons

Jira is really intuitive, and its functionalities allow the successful execution of large or small projects, however, for the result to be impeccable, we must prepare all the team members and train them properly, and in this way we can expect a process without complications, on the other hand, the licensing may not be as flexible as other usable tools currently on the market but it remains in the average range.

We can integrate other software like Bamboo, SVN, etc with JIRA easily.Overall JIRA is very easy to use. There are a lot of Basic and Advanced filters. Search is quite powerful.

### "Jira is a fantastic tool for managing projects"

March 15, 2023

4.0

If you need to keep tabs on reports about problems with a project or software, Jira is the way to go. Users on a team can quickly and easily share data with one another. Jira is very adaptable, allowing for seamless integration with a wide variety of different platforms. The best thing is that we have connected it with Slack, making communication much easier and saving a ton of time for everyone involved.

Pros

Project, issue, bug, task, and workflow management are all handled by Jira software. All phases of a project's development life cycle, from planning to coding to testing, may be managed from within the system.

Cons

Problems with the software cause the window to take a long time to load, and real-time updates and app integration are also areas for improvement.

### "A complete project management suite!"

July 11, 2022

5.0

The main business problem that Jira tackles are keeping track of all the various projects inside a company. The stakeholders can get a high-level view of every project whenever they like, the business teams know what's coming up with the product so they can pitch appropriately to customers.

Pros

What makes Jira stand out from other project management tools is the ecosystem of products that it sits in. Atlassian has a solution for everything. - Confluence for Knowledge base - Service Desk for IT or any type of requests - Bitbucket for version control - Jira for Project Management It's a very well-thought-out project. Everything from sprint planning to scrum to project planning can be seamlessly handled in the Atlassian suite. We've extensively used Jira & Confluence for Engineering.

Cons

Jira doesn't have a dark mode. In a world where most people their daily tools in the dark mode because it's easier on the eyes, Jira still lacks this. It's on their Q4 roadmap. Let's wait and see if they get it right.

### "Enablement of Team collaboration for Agile projects. "

September 16, 2021

4.0

JIRA is a great tool that allows for greater team collaboration within Agile projects. It is easy to use and very intuitive. Sometimes connectivity can be a problem especially with the cloud based versions. JIRA definitely provides more value than shortcomings.

Pros

1\. Different user roles can be defined to allow for segregation of duties. 2. Epics can be defined to assist with long and intermediate project planning. 3. Duration of sprints can be defined according to project requirements. 4. Statuses for user stories can be used for tracking progress as well as workflow management. 5. Allows for bulk import of epics and user stories which can fast track administrative tasks where this information has been captured elsewhere e.g. CSV format

Cons

1\. Only users from within the organization can be assigned to tasks and user stories. This can cause unnecessary delays where external users need to provide urgent input or contribution. 2. Statuses (user stories) cannot be defined specifically for a board where multiple boards exist within a project. 3. Only two types of users can be assigned to user stories, which are assignees and reporters. JIRA does not allow for multiple users (assignees) to be assigned to one user story.
