“I had a Jira ticket opened few years already, however still no respond received, no feedback whatsoever, even I responded another follow up note with same ticket, however no luck hear anything from anywhere, and I can't cancel the ticket from my side either for some odd reason. Plus I can't ask helpdesk to cancel my Jira ticket because helpdesk said they don't manage Jira ticket system, and have to wait for the technician who responsible for that particular system/application, so here I am getting stuck for few years of that Jira ticket.“

### "\*\*Powerful project tracking with a bit of a learning curve\*\*"

September 5, 2026

4.0

Overall, my experience with Jira has been positive. It gives our team a structured way to manage tasks, track issues, and keep up with project progress. I particularly like having everything tied to individual issues, so it’s easier to see what has been done and what still needs attention. It can take some time to get comfortable with all the options and workflows, but once the setup is in place, Jira makes day-to-day project tracking much more manageable.

Pros

What I like most about Jira is how well it keeps project work organized in one place. I can easily track tasks, assign ownership, follow progress, and see what needs attention without constantly switching between different tools. The customizable workflows and boards are especially useful because they can be adapted to the way our team actually works.

Cons

The biggest downside for me is that Jira can feel a little overwhelming at first, especially when there are lots of projects, workflows, and settings involved. Some screens also take a bit of time to navigate when you’re looking for a specific issue or trying to understand where something fits in the workflow. Once everything is set up, it works well, but the initial learning curve could be smoother.

### "Powerful and Flexible Project Management Tool"

August 23, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Jira has been positive. It helps me keep projects organized, manage tasks efficiently, and track issues from start to completion. The customization options are also useful for different project workflows.

Pros

Jira makes it easy to organize tasks, track project progress, and collaborate with team members. I particularly like the flexibility of boards, issue tracking, and task management features.

Cons

The interface can feel a little overwhelming for new users, and some advanced features take time to learn.

### "Amazing tracking tool for small and big projects"

March 4, 2026

3.0

Pros

Multiple projects you can create and link to create dependencies, multiple boards in a single project, easily customisable Kanban boards that can do what you need.

Cons

Workflow management is less intuitive. Even when I create a simple workflow between Jira item statuses and put some basic rules on them, the workflow easily can hit a wall. There are hidden rules/steps.

### "Strong Project Collaboration and Task Management Platform"

June 12, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with Jira has been positive. It has helped improve project collaboration, team collaboration, and task management across multiple projects. The platform is flexible and offers useful reporting features that help track progress and identify bottlenecks. Although there is a learning curve, it becomes easy to use once the team is familiar with the workflows. It delivers solid value for money and has been a reliable tool for managing day-to-day activities.

Pros

Jira has been very useful for task management and project collaboration. It allows teams to track work efficiently, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress through customizable dashboards. The platform supports strong team collaboration and integrates well with other tools. Overall, it provides good value for money considering the features available.

Cons

While Jira is powerful, the interface can sometimes feel complex for new users. Setting up workflows and permissions may require some learning and administrative effort. Customer support is helpful, but response times can vary depending on the type of issue.

### "A fantastic work management tool"

July 29, 2026

5.0

Overall it has been a great experience. It has allowed teams I’ve been on using Jira to manage and have more visibility for work in “work”, work coming down the pipeline, and work that has recently been completed.

Pros

I have used Jira expanding over many different industries - what I enjoy most about it is ease of use, visibility of work, and digestible interface.

Cons

On a larger team, with high amounts of work assigned coming through Jira for tracking - it sometimes was convoluted. With many tickets coming in per day for just myself, having an instant reference for every bit of work and what needs to be accomplished was sometimes a challenge.

### "Great for Tracking Complex Projects and Team Tasks"

August 13, 2026

5.0

Pros

What I like most about Jira is the visibility it provides across projects and tasks. It makes it easy to assign owners, prioritize work, track status, manage backlogs, and follow issues through completion. Boards, dashboards, filters, and comments are especially useful when coordinating work across different teams.

Cons

Jira can feel complicated at first, especially when projects have many custom workflows, fields, and issue types. Finding the right information can sometimes take a few clicks, and dashboards and reports require some initial setup to make them truly useful.

### "Reliable tool for managing software projects"

August 29, 2026

4.0

Overall, my experience with Jira has been good, I mainly find it useful for tracking development tasks, bugs and project progress. Once the workflow is set up, it becomes much easier to manage work and keep track of what is pending or completed.

Pros

I like how Jira keeps tasks, bugs, and project work organized in one place. It makes it easy to see what needs to be done, track progress, and keep everyone on the same page. The boards and issue tracking are especially useful for managing development work.

Cons

Jira can feel a little complicated when you first start using it. especially with all the different settings and options. Some screens also have more information that I need, so it can take a bit of time to get used to the interface.

### "Pays off at scale, overkill for a small team"

September 6, 2026

4.0

Good tool with a real setup cost, and the trade-off is easy to sum up. If you have the scale and someone owning the config, it pays off and I would pick it again. If you are five people trying to ship fast, it will slow you down. Go in knowing that and you will be fine. Go in expecting it to work out of the box and you will be frustrated by month three.

Pros

The traceability is what I keep coming back to. Six months later I can open a ticket and see who decided what and why. No chat tool gives you that. Integrations and automation rules also do real work. A lot of the manual back and forth we used to do just disappeared once we set the rules up properly. And it holds up when you grow. We went from one project to several teams without the whole thing falling apart, which is not true of most tools I have used.

Cons

It is heavy for a small team. Under ten people the ceremony costs you more than it gives back, and you feel it every day. The admin side is a job in itself. Workflows, permissions, schemes, you need someone who actually owns the configuration. If nobody does, it drifts into a mess within a few months. We learned that one the hard way.

### "Powerful project management with a steep learning curve"

August 4, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Jira has been positive. It is a feature-rich platform that works exceptionally well for agile teams and organizations managing complex projects. While there is a learning curve and some administrative overhead, the flexibility, automation, and project visibility make it a valuable tool once it's properly configured.

Pros

Jira is highly customizable and excellent for managing software development projects. It offers robust issue tracking, sprint planning, backlog management, and seamless integration with tools like Confluence, Bitbucket, and GitHub. The reporting features and agile boards help teams stay organized and improve collaboration.

Cons

The interface can feel overwhelming, especially for new users. Setting up workflows and customizing projects often requires significant time and administrative knowledge. Performance can also slow down when working with very large projects or complex configurations.

### "good for trackin but too slow sometimes"

March 26, 2026

4.0

its basically the industry standard right now. even tho its a bit slow i dont think ther is any other tool that handles complex projects as good as jira does. we use it every day at work n it keeps everythin organized, just wish it was a little faster and less clunky.

Pros

the best thing about jira is the way it handles tickets n backlogs. like if ur doin agile or kanban it just works perfect. we use it wth bitbucket integration so seein PR links directly in the ticket is a huge time saver. plus u can customize the workflow to basically anythin u want.

Cons

honestly jira is just way too heavy. sometimes it takes forever to load a single page which is annoying when u just wanna check a task. also the UI can be super confusing for new people. like ther are so many buttons and settings hideing everywhere... its a bit of a steep lerning curve if u ask me.

### "Reliable Project Management with Room for Better Email Handling"

July 15, 2026

4.0

I have worked with Jira for about two years, primarily using it for ticket management and team collaboration. Overall, my experience has been positive. I especially liked the email customization options, which helped tailor notifications and workflows to our team's needs. One challenge I experienced was with email-based ticket creation and status tracking. At times, a small issue—such as an incorrect or missing email subject or keyword—could prevent a ticket from being generated or updated correctly. I also remember encountering situations between 2023 and 2025 where I did not receive expected email notifications, and because of keyword-related rules, some tickets were missed. While these issues were not frequent, they could occasionally affect workflow efficiency. Overall, Jira is a powerful and reliable project management tool with excellent collaboration and task management features, though I believe the email handling and reporting experience could be made more intuitive.

Pros

What I liked most about Jira was its strong project and team collaboration features. It made task management simple with customizable boards and clear progress tracking, helping everyone stay aligned. I also found it easy to use after getting familiar with the interface. Jira offers good value for money considering its features, and the customer support resources and documentation were helpful whenever I needed assistance. Additionally, integrations with diagram tools made it easier to visualize workflows and plan projects effectively.

Cons

The feature I liked least was the status reporting. While it provides useful information, I found some reports to be more complex than necessary and not always easy to customize or interpret at a glance. A simpler and more intuitive reporting experience would make tracking project progress even more efficient.

### "A Powerful Platform for Cross-Functional Collaboration"

June 10, 2026

4.0

Overall, my experience with Jira has been very positive. As a Senior Executive at iQor, I have found it to be a valuable tool for improving project visibility, team collaboration, and operational efficiency. It provides a centralized platform where teams can track work, manage priorities, and stay aligned on objectives, which is especially important in a fast-moving business environment.

Pros

What I like most about Jira is how it brings structure and visibility to complex projects without making collaboration feel difficult. In a fast-paced environment like iQor, having a tool that keeps teams aligned, tracks progress in real time, and provides clear accountability is incredibly valuable. I particularly appreciate the dashboards and reporting features, which give leadership a quick view of project health and team performance. Jira helps reduce communication gaps, keeps priorities organized, and makes it easier to make informed decisions. Overall, it has become an essential tool for driving efficiency, transparency, and successful execution across teams.

Cons

While Jira is a powerful platform, one of the challenges is its learning curve, especially for new users who may not be familiar with project management tools. The extensive customization options, while valuable, can sometimes make workflows feel overly complex if not carefully managed . From an executive perspective, there are occasions when generating highly customized reports or navigating through multiple project configurations requires additional administrative effort.

### "A tool that can boost productivity."

May 12, 2026

4.0

Overall , it’s a powerful management tool helping to increase the productivity of the team . It helps tracking , monitoring and reminding . Easy to use and can have meaningful impact on a company’s overall performance.

Pros

A robust ticketing system. It’s user friendly, even the person with no technical knowledge can use it for the projects . The entire ecosystem is customisable. Jira has been actively implementing AI into their tools named ROVO , helping creating tickets and searching. It helps in team collaboration.

Cons

You need a dedicated admin to setup the workflows and manage the panel , else it will be messy. it would have been nice if it had automised organising tools. It has a little lag, even though fast not super fast . The email reminders are okay but sometimes feel like flooded with emails as they also send emails on tickets to all users that is in the assigned group, not only to the assigned person.

### "Great for dev teams, but can feel a bit heavy sometimes"

April 15, 2026

4.0

The industry standard exists because it demonstrates its value. The system needs enhancements because its user interface operates at slow speeds although it successfully handles our daily standup meetings and sprint planning activities. The system functions as a reliable tool through its basic setup requirements which I use on a daily basis to handle my work and programming tasks.

Pros

The best aspect of the software for developers exists in its ability to work together with Git and our CI/CD pipelines. The system provides a time-saving benefit because users can link Jira tickets to their work through pull requests and commit messages. The process for tracking sprints and transferring tickets throughout the board operates with high efficiency. The system enables our team to maintain shared understanding about which team members handle different bug fixes and user story tasks without requiring us to ask each other.

Cons

The initial experience proves to be excessively challenging. The multiple menus and available options create a cumbersome experience when users attempt to perform basic task updates. The system becomes unmanageable when project managers and administrators create excessive custom workflows because users experience extreme difficulty in moving tickets to the "Done" status. The system experiences performance issues because it becomes slow and unresponsive when the backlog exceeds its capacity.

### "A Powerful Tool for Structured Support and Project Management"

April 23, 2026

5.0

Overall, Jira has been a reliable and essential tool in my day‑to‑day work as a Technical Product Support Coordinator. It allows me to manage customer issues efficiently, collaborate with developers, and maintain clear audit trails for every task. Once configured properly, it significantly improves team coordination and transparency. Despite the complexity, the benefits outweigh the challenges, and it remains one of the best platforms for structured issue and project management.

Pros

Jira provides a highly adaptable and robust platform for handling technical workflows. Its customizable boards, automation features, and integration capabilities make it a great choice for bringing different teams together. From my perspective in product support, I’ve found it straightforward to follow issues from their first report all the way to resolution, always knowing who’s responsible and how things are progressing. The powerful search and filtering tools (JQL) are a huge help when managing lots of tickets.

Cons

It can take a while to get used to Jira, especially if you’re new or need to dive into advanced setup and workflows. Some admin tasks feel more complicated than they should be, and the system can slow down if you’re working with big projects or lots of dashboard widgets. While the interface offers a lot, it can seem crowded at times, which can make it tougher for new or less technical team members to get started.

### "JIRA in 4 years"

March 27, 2026

5.0

Jira has been a reliable tool and a strong source of truth for planning and tracking work. It helps keep teams coordinated and makes execution more transparent, even if some parts can feel a little process-heavy at times.

Pros

Jira keeps everything in one place and makes work easy to track from start to finish. It’s especially helpful for staying aligned with dev and product—bugs, stories, priorities, and status are all visible, so it’s clear what’s blocked, what’s in progress, and what needs attention.

Cons

It can get noisy and cluttered, especially on larger projects—important updates sometimes get buried in comments, notifications, and long ticket histories. Also, depending on how a project is configured, logging a simple bug can feel a bit heavy with too many fields, steps, or workflows.

### "Powerful project management solution for agile teams"

July 5, 2026

5.0

I've had a positive experience using Jira for project planning, task management, and team collaboration. It helps organize work efficiently by allowing teams to create, prioritize, assign, and monitor tasks throughout the project lifecycle. The dashboards and reporting features provide clear visibility into project progress, making it easier for managers and team members to stay aligned. Although the initial setup requires some time and understanding, the platform becomes highly effective once everything is configured. Overall, Jira is a reliable and feature-rich solution for organizations looking to improve project management and collaboration.

Pros

Jira is a powerful project management and issue-tracking platform that offers excellent flexibility for managing software development and business projects. I liked its customizable workflows, Scrum and Kanban boards, sprint planning, and detailed reporting features. Task assignment, progress tracking, and collaboration between team members are seamless. The integration with other Atlassian products and third-party applications also makes it a complete solution for project management. Once configured properly, it significantly improves team productivity and transparency.

Cons

The biggest drawback is the learning curve for new users. Setting up projects, workflows, and permissions can be complicated without prior experience. The interface can feel overwhelming because of the large number of features available. Pricing may also become expensive for growing teams that require advanced features.

### "Best tool for managing bugs and tasks across the entire team"

April 26, 2026

5.0

Jira has been a core part of our QA workflow for managing test cases, bugs, and sprint tasks. Once you get past the initial setup and learning phase it becomes very easy to use daily. Task management is solid for assigning tickets, setting priorities, and tracking progress works really well. Value for money is decent for mid to large teams but can feel expensive for smaller teams. Overall it is one of the most reliable project collaboration tools available, just needs some time to get fully comfortable with.

Pros

The best part is how well it handles project and task management. As a QA engineer, creating bug reports, linking them to stories, and tracking their status all in one place is really helpful. The Scrum and Kanban boards give a clear picture of what's in progress and what's pending. Integration with tools like Confluence and Bitbucket makes team collaboration smooth and everything stays connected.

Cons

The learning curve is steep for new users and the interface feels overwhelming at first with too many options and settings. Performance slows down when there are too many tickets and filters on the board. Diagram creation is very limited natively and you need third party plugins for anything visual which adds to the cost. Customer support mostly redirects you to documentation which isn't always helpful for specific issues.

### "Reliable platform to manage IT projects."

June 12, 2026

5.0

Jira has been a great help for our IT team, specifically for the management of software development projects and tracking their progress. It has good functionality as well, it can be used for collaboration with other teams, but it has a learning curve to get the most out of it. While it’s not the cheapest solution available, the benefits, particularly in terms of organization and visibility, have made it worth the investment for our company.

Pros

Jira is a good solid base to manage tasks in different teams, particularly for our development and testing processes. Loving the ability to be so specific in dependency and specifying who does what, so our timelines can always be kept open for all concerned. Detailed reporting has been useful for our weekly team review and the interaction with Confluence makes it easier to update the documentation.

Cons

For new users, the interface can be daunting and difficult to appreciate, particularly in larger projects that have numerous parts. The advanced features, such as automation rules, can take a bit of time to master and this might be difficult for smaller teams or if you don't have admin support. Also, at times slowdowns during tasks with more complex boards, or at busier times.

### "Powerful for Dev Teams, But the Learning Curve is Steep"

January 13, 2026

5.0

My experience has been positive once we got past the initial setup and training period. Once our team understood how to use it, it became an essential tool for managing our development work and keeping everything aligned. The integrations with our dev tools make the workflow smooth. That said, it's not for everyone. If your team isn't doing agile work or you have a lot of non-technical users, you'll probably be frustrated. The complexity and the cost mean there's a real barrier to entry, and smaller teams might find simpler alternatives like Trello more practical. It's a powerful tool that delivers real value for established development teams, but expect to invest time in getting comfortable with it and potentially hiring someone to handle the administration side.

Pros

The scrum and kanban boards are excellent for organizing work, and the integration with other Atlassian tools like Confluence and Bitbucket is seamless. Once you understand how it works, the customizable workflows and automation features save a ton of time. The ability to track dependencies, link code commits to tickets, and see real-time progress updates across the team is really valuable. I also appreciate the visibility it gives you into the entire development lifecycle. For teams doing agile work, the backlog management and sprint planning features are solid, and there's good flexibility to customize things to match your process.

Cons

The interface is complex and cluttered, especially when you're starting out. There's a steep learning curve, and even small changes in configuration can trigger notification emails to everyone involved, which gets annoying. The system feels slow when you have a large number of tickets loaded, and setting up permissions or automation rules properly often requires a dedicated administrator. The pricing also adds up quickly, especially if you need plugins or add-ons to get the features you actually need. At that point, the total cost of ownership gets hard to justify. I'd also say it's really built for technical users and developers. Non-technical team members struggle with navigation and the overall UX.

### "Jira review"

January 28, 2026

Jira is great and I would definitely recommend Jira to use to manage products in IT or in any project area. It works well for our team and we are able to see at quick glance tasks that are in progress and done. We use this each day for our daily stand ups to discuss the project progress.

Pros

Jira is a great tool to support project work , we utilise this in our tech team to ensure we capture all work items , using the back log to add tickets to then refine the back log weekly to move these items into the Kanban board to work these. We also use these to then manage these using the different groups , eg: to do , in Progress , in review , done

Cons

Learning all the different ways you can use Jira takes a bit of time . You can use this project management tools in many ways
