I missed my subscription cancellation by less than 3 hours and requested a refund. Instead of applying common sense and showing goodwill to a long-standing customer, Helium 10 hid behind rigid policy and flatly refused. The only “solutions” offered were useless credits I don’t want or a transfer to another account I don’t have. I understand policies when someone misses by days or weeks, but refusing to refund someone who made a small mistake by literally a few hours is outrageous. It shows zero regard for loyalty or fairness. This experience has left a sour taste and destroyed my trust in Helium 10 as a company. If this is how they treat their customers, I cannot recommend them and will be taking my business elsewhere. Pros The tools themselves are powerful and comprehensive. They cover product research, keyword tracking, and listing optimization in one place, which has been valuable in running my Amazon business. Cons Customer service and refund policy. January 7, 2026 1.0 I have it in writing: Helium 10 support admitted I was overcharged, yet they still won't credit me, and they locked me out of the account. Their system messed up my billing. After weeks of back-and-forth, they finally admitted in writing that their refund was "insufficient" and I am still owed money. The worst part is that their own agent instructed me to "contact my bank" to find the missing funds. I did exactly what they said. The bank initiated a partial chargeback (only for the amount I was overcharged, not even the full bill). Now they locked me out of my account for following their instructions. I have even withdrawn the dispute with the bank and sent them proof, but they still refuse to restore my access. I can't even use the service that I paid for. This is ridiculous. Pros The amount of tools and features is overwhelming its to network, problem-solve, and discuss everything Amazon-related and e-commerce adjacent Cons their support system, all features sounds amazing on paper but when you start to use it, you will discover its gimicks that waste your time more than anything Review Source MW Matthew W. Owner Consumer Goods Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Modern Version of Jungle Scout" September 21, 2023 4.0 The overall experience with Helium 10 has been fantastic, simply put, sure you could possibly find a platform that better suits your needs, possibly, but you can't go wrong with Helium 10 for certain. Pros When I say modern version of jungle scout, it shouldn't be automatically assumed that that means better, although it could for you. Helium 10 offers a lot of the same functionality of jungle scout and their overlay chrome extension is top notch. That piece of Helium 10 is what truly brought me to Helium 10, I couldn't say which is better between Helium 10's extension and Junglescout's, they do a lot of the same functions, but what I can say is that you won't find any better than those two. If you're currently deciding which ecommerce research tool to use, I would say Helium 10 definitely deserves to be in the number 1 or number 2 position, and when it comes right down to it, when you have a platform as nice as Helium 10's that rivals jungle scout's as much as it does, all that is left is preference. That being said, I am more of a Jungle scout man, but you can't go wrong with Helium 10. Cons I would say the thing I didn't like about Helium 10 (and again, this is only because i have to choose something I don't like, the platform is all-around great). Is the "success score", it feels a little under developed, I am no programmer and could be completely wrong about that. It is completely possible that I feel this way simply because I have seen Jungle Scout's niche score system, and it is fantastic, but I would say that would be one of the only cons I have had with Helium 10. But don't let that discourage you, if Helium 10 is the platform you are gunning for, both are great, and I would say choosing between the Jungle Scout's niche score system and Helium 10's success score system is a little bit more than just preference, I think Jungle scout's is inherently better, at least by a little, but that small of a difference, over one functionality should most definitely not be the deciding factor. Now I've tried it back with the Starter Plan and found that Helium10 turned into a scam company, that makes you sign up but doesn't provide usable software until you upgrade the top tier. They claim that everything is explained very well in their terms and conditions, so that can keep it unclear and shady on their website. I was a fan of this software, now it became a joke. Stay away from it and use one of the many other options for Amazon keyword research out there. Pros Keyword research tool and sales estimate are critical features. They use the exact same data as other e-commerce and Amazon software but Helium 10 has scammy subscription plans that force you to upgrade in order to actually use the features that they claim to be available in the other subscription tiers. That is not the case with other well known Amazon software options. Cons The subcription tiers are a scam made to get your money and force you to upgrade to the top tier in order to actually use the keyword research software. Customer support is horrible. I asked for a refund literally 2 minutes after activating the Starter Plan and they refused. So much more efficient and easier to use and understand. As well as more accurate. Cons Some of the exporting features could use improvement. I liked to see if it were at a high or potentially might drop. I also liked to see how certain products performed over time and trends versus my products. Pros I loved how I could search different keywords being used, sales, analytics, etc. of other ASINS that were not my own. I loved the Chrome plugin on product pages that tracked sales, pricing, rank, etc. This was my favorite feature and one that i used the most. Cons Honestly, what I liked least was the Chrome Plugin's consistency. It was my favorite feature to use...when it would work. It was great at first, then it started slowing down my page. Then it stopped showing up altogether. I eventually uninstalled it. If it were reliable, then I would have kept using it. I was researching what I should sell on Amazon and doing another course about it. I discovered Project X and the Freedom Ticket and I was off to the races. What I was doing became so much more understandable to me at that time and I truly LOVE the "teachers" in both of those trainings/projects. I felt really supported throughout my journey. I have only had a couple of products up on Amazon in the last few weeks (during Covid19 shutdowns) and neither is a "vital" product, but I am earning some money from them. I haven't been selling long enough to pay off my initial investment in my products, but I feel that it will all work out great and it will be because of the help I've received from Helium 10 and its staff. Another thing...there should be a better choice for feature subscriptions, I use Cerebro, frankenstein, scribbles and kw tracker that is it, I don't need the rest. Very disappointed in their lack of response/action to my inquiries. Will consider updating this review once they have fixed the bugs in Adtomic or properly addressed my inquiries. I upgraded to Diamond for 2 billing cycles for this tool specifically but they ignored my requests for a refund. Pros Their keyword research tools like Cerebro and Magnet are helpful in optimizing our listing and preparing for launch. Cons Their Adtomic tool has so many bugs, it's basically useless. We're unable to apply any changes to our keyword bids, create new campaigns, or set up campaign rules. However, they have unethically launched an incomplete and unusable product, promoting it as if it is the holy grail of Amazon PPC tools.
