DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I rarely write negative reviews but they really deserve this one. Thier business practices are horrible. They started by having a free service that was awesome. I would constantly recommend Bokio to anyone who would ask. Then they moved the most commonly used features to a paid plan... Ok I understand.. They need to get in some money. Then they raise the prices twice within a year and also completely remove the lowest priced plan, forcing you into yet another price hike. Now Bokio is one of the most highly priced services on the market and don't even get me started on thier customer service. Every reply from Bokio customer service takes several days to recieve and then is short, impersonal and non-helpful copy paste answers. I am very dissatisfied. I have never been this dissatisfied with a company before. I feel like they are holding me hostage and just keep increasing thier prices. I'm so upset that I didn't prioritize finding another service before my subscription renewed. Now I'm stuck for another year. I will be cancelling my subscription with Bokio as soon as this year is over and will never use them again. I actually tried to cancel after my payment didn't go through for the renewal (I couldn't even log into the bank account I have with them to see how much money I needed to transfer to pay because they locked me out of even seeing my own bank account). Customer service took about 5-7 days to respond and just said no and quoted some laws and thier policy etc blah blah. Meanwhile I was unable to get into my bank account. My advice to you is to find another service. Speedledger with a Swedbank acccount will work much better and you will actually get customer service. Can't wait to be done with this company. Pros It used to be great. It has some great features but its price has been raised to the point where it isn't worth it anymore. There are other companies that have the same and are cheaper. Cons Horrible company. It has been a great decision, especially for me with limited bookkeeping/ accounting experience. Pros The VAT return integration for UK MTD is a life-changing feature! Really love having a payroll function within the accounting programme, seamless across bookkeeping and payments. Bank feeds features are really great too, can link multiples accounts through integration to many banks. Cons Some of the Directors payroll section have been a bit buggy, however the tech support is helpful, friendly and efficient.
