The software’s capabilities were misrepresented, and the implementation timeline was severely underestimated. The company failed to meet any deadlines, resulting in wasted time and financial loss. Now, they are completely unresponsive. Save yourself the frustration—don’t waste your time or money.

Pros

Don’t fall for the sales pitch. After we paid, they started telling us that certain features weren’t possible. When we pointed out that these capabilities were promised during the sales presentation, their response was simply, 'I’ve had multiple people say that to me.' Extremely disappointing and misleading.

Cons

There are no pros. The customer service and technical support are nonexistent.

has been an asset to our business, helping streamline field service operations and improve overall efficiency. It’s an all-in-one platform that simplifies scheduling, dispatching, project management, and reporting, making our day-to-day operations much smoother. The interface is user-friendly after training, and the support team is responsive and helpful. Overall, it has allowed us to better manage our technicians and workflows, resulting in enhanced productivity.

Pros

All-in-One Solution that combines scheduling, dispatching, job management, and reporting in a single platform. Ability to track jobs in real-time and offers insightful reports that help optimize business decisions.

Cons

Some aspects of the software could benefit from more customization options. While the platform is intuitive, there can be a slight learning curve for those not familiar with the system.

### "Buildops Thumbs Up!"

Overall experience has been good and the software has defiantly helped our business be more proficient.

Pros

I like how robust the software is and how customizable it is to fit your needs. It has really helped us stay on top of things and not let things slip through the cracks.

Cons

There is some bugs from time to time and sometimes support is a little slow to solve the problem.

### "Rock Solid Commercial HVAC Software"

August 30, 2024

5.0

Our implementation went smoothly. We had some hiccups getting information out of our previous software, but we were able to transfer the information in sections, which was helpful. Technical support has been great so far and our customer representative is fantastic.

Pros

Simple navigation and user friendly interface. Clean, well organized pages with easy to see information. This program easily handles our larger client asset lists and service agreements. Technician communication with dispatch is easy with job flags and our integration with QBO has been seamless.

Cons

I would like the ability to send customer statements from . We use an outside accounting firm, so it's not possible for us to pop into Quickbooks to send those out.

ServiceTitan wasn't handling our commercial customers well. Longer projects would get lost off our dispatch board. Locations with large numbers of assets would get bogged down and were difficult to manage. The invoice workflow is best for one day jobs - anything longer would take much more supervision.

### "BuildOps honest review"

August 16, 2024

4.0

Overall I am very happy with . It is a very intuitive system to use and just "makes sense". The customer support has been absolutely phenomenal. I always get a real person on the phone when I call. When I email, I get a response back usually within a couple of hours. If there is an issue that requires a little research, they regularly email me with updates. I only have one gripe that has been consistent - there are times during the day, usually in the morning, where it can take several seconds for a page to completely load, sometimes requiring a refresh of the page. It is not a deal breaker, and I am not 100% sure I can pin it on BO and not my ISP, firewall, or other internal issue. It does get frustrating when I am on the phone with a customer or tech and have to wait for pages to load. I highly recommend BuildOps to a service/trade company whose business model would benefit from a job tracking program.

Pros

Easy software to navigate and use efficiently

Cons

Occasional slow page load times requiring refresh

Favorable in comparison to the last program used for the company. Everything done is available within Build Ops itself without having to jump in between programs.

### "Solid System for a New Hire except for the Tutorial AI Narrator"

August 19, 2024

4.0

Overall positive - but like any CRM takes some getting used to. As someone new to the construction industry I’d say it’s been a solid system so far.

Pros

The customer service. I had a question and the response from the representative was honest and personable. The solution was clear, concise, and exactly snag what was needed.

Cons

The Narrator to tutorials. I would strongly recommend hiring someone from voice123 or voicebunny to do the voice over work. AI can do a lot but it can’t do narration. The tutorial is for new hires one of the 1st and regular voices they hear. It’d be a win/win

Pros

is extremely configurable - features can be turned on and off at the company level or the user level to obtain the optimal system and workflow both for the organization and each person within the organization. The support from BuildOps to help us set everything up initially and make changes as we need them has been phenomenal.

Cons

Changing operating systems is never easy. However, when you pick the right partner, even during some implementation struggles, we worked together as a team and had a great experience. Just solid people to wortk with.

Pros

We were one of the first client to partner with Build Ops. Their employees and support team have become part of our family. We are true partners. Having a very transparent relationship allows us to push each other to become better every day.

Cons

PMA module at the beginning. However, year 2 they made great progress and continue to improve.

### "No regrets - Great product "

May 18, 2023

5.0

GREAT Implimentaion and learning of new software is always going to be stressful, but in my opionion this experience did not have me overwhelmed, everything was explained, no question was too stupid (and I asked alot of questions), and not affraid to say if they don't know the answer.....but they will find it for you I wouldn't say it was a fun experience, but we had some fun during the process. The team at come with knowledge and great personalities. The follow up and support is great.

Pros

The intergration between the mobile/technicians and the Office/web has provided us with the ability to monitor job status & invoice in a more timely manner with less time/material errors. Dispatching is easy and is instantanious to the tech. Ability to add job notes and forms, customer notes & property notes is very helpful. Great Customer service - advising of updates, support for issues with timely response, willingness to take customer/user ideas for future enhancements and making continuous improvements to the system. The efficiency of the program (over the last one used) probably save the hiring of a person in the office.

Cons

Overall theres nothing major on the dislike list, there are a few places that still need tweaking Defaulting tax, vendor section could be better (but is functional), better admin access to certain functions and template designs would be a plus Implimentation had a few problems the biggest one to overcome was we were set to switch just as covid shut down the world, so we went from having on site to remote set up. manged to get it all set up, train the staff via zoom and lots of calls and we were up and running within the timelines provided. We did experience a few issues with the accounting because of the previous software but BuildOps worked with us and found the right people to help with the situation

Reason for choosing BuildOps

Management reviewed many options, when it was narrowed down to a couple I was included in the final review. integration with mobile, comprehensive dispatch board, customer set up and invoicing sold me. Management and accounting liked the intergration with Quick Books ( used prior to switch to Jonas)

### "Robust, Customizable, and Great to Work With"

September 11, 2023

5.0

allowed and supported us to move from the early 2000s to the current decade. We had a large jump to make - from dirty and data to implementing a new accounting software at the same time - and BuildOps' implementation manager put in long hours to make sure we could hit the ground running at launch. Then, their success manager has continued to make sure we can get up to speed and effectively use the tools BuildOps has to offer, as well as prepare us for new features as they roll out.

Pros

As a service/construction hybrid company, we need software that is both comprehensive and flexible. allows us to maintain separate records for customers and associated properties/sites, schedule and manage our workforce, and organize our service and construction accounting. BuildOps can build and generate custom documents, including forms, quotes, invoices, service agreements, and purchase orders with intuitive editing tools. The search bar is "smart" and capable of finding almost every piece of information entered in the system, from partial addresses to phrases mentioned in notes. The dispatch board is intuitive, clear, and easy to update. With the large amount of customization available, my favorite feature is BuildOps' ability (on PC) to filter most information and to save them as views for each user's needs. The filters function similar to those in Excel tables, and are able to compound. This allows us to create wide overviews for a whole section of our business or narrow views to manage specific workflows. As I have only used BuildOps for a few months, I feel that I only have more to look forward to as I continue to explore its capabilities.

Cons

My main gripe with is that it is a young software. Despite the fact that BuildOps has most features we need, there are times where I find features that need to be expanded or streamlined. For example, mobile dispatch can not search for customer or job information, site assets are not bulk import-able, and service agreements take a lot of fine tuning. However, BuildOps is growing and improving all aspects rapidly. Within just a few months, BuildOps has implemented multiple improvements and squashed many bugs we presented.

In the competitive world of commercial construction, efficiency and organization are not just desired but essential for success. As a project manager in a thriving commercial contracting firm, I've always sought solutions to streamline our field service operations, but finding a tool that met our complex and ever-evolving needs was a challenge. is a great partner. Everyone we've worked with so far has been extremely helpful and knowledgable about the product. We couldn't be more happy with choosing BuildOps.

Pros

Being that this was our third service software, we wanted to be positive that this was the right fit before signing up. The sales team was very honest from the beginning, which we really appreciated. They took more of a consultant role showing us what features would greatly help us and also explained some of the features that may not work for us. Once we were comfortable moving forward, the implementation team took over, and guided us through setting everything up for success. The implementation process was miles ahead of the other companies we worked with. We got many training sessions, and a dedicated person to manage our implementation of the product. Implementation took a couple months to get everything set up, as well as get us trained since the software has so many features and is extremely customizable, but it was well worth the wait. We have now been live with the software for about 2 months. We have streamlined our operations in nearly every aspect in just a couple months. The amount of time saved from avoiding double entry in Quickbooks online is huge. The software has everything we need (and a lot more), and it just works. It's hard to believe we worked any other way at this point.

Cons

No real cons so far. There has been a couple minor hiccups since we've started but tech support always responded extremly quick and got the issues resolved.

Transitioning to was the best decision for our company. They take the time to get to know their customers. We are paying for a product but it is more than that. They have built relationships with our staff and continue to improve the functionality.

Pros

Hands down, the support team; from our account manager to the IT support team. They are always quick to respond and we are always made to feel we are the most important person. Our previous software company took days to respond if at all, and when suggestions were made, we were simply told no. ### "BuildOps offers great features to help managet Techs and projects"

July 17, 2023

Overall, seems very adaptable to our needs. Tech Support is readily available to assist with issues that mostly turn out to be user error. BuildOps allows us to make suggestions to their Development Team. These suggestions can make what we consider improvements or new features to the system to allow us to operate the software more efficiently.

Pros

allows us to see the status of the Field Techs live and at a glance. We can better manage our staff as it is not difficult to see total hours worked in a week by individual. Quoting is very customizable and adaptive to our needs.

Cons

There are some issues that we, as new users of the system, need to work out and those can be challenging. But those issues are more due to our Company's learning curve than a problem with Build Ops

### "BuildOps - Construction minded CRM"

July 17, 2023

has helped us get to the next level of professionalism with our customers. I look forward to growing our business with BuildOps.

Pros

I like the easy to use scheduling and dispatching feature. This has made us more efficient with our scheduling. To be able to uploaded job specific forms for the techs to use and return is priceless feature for us.

Cons

The only negative at this time is we can't easily implement our job numbers into . I would love to be able to use a specific job numbering system within BuildOps.

Reason for choosing BuildOps

is more dialed in for the construction industry. Many of the other systems don't think like we do in the construction world. BuildOps has tons of features that were well implemented with construction in mind. Other systems typically need a third party add on where BuildOps just works right out of the box.

Overall a great system that has improved our company's recordkeeping accuracy and helped our business take on additional customers with ease. The issues we have are typically minor and can be worked around or ignored when necessary. The team is always open to suggestions and does work to put them onto future software releases when enough of their customers are interested. BuildOps is the best commercial-focused software on the market.

Pros

has been great for improving our workflows, recordkeeping, and reporting. Fairly easy for technicians to learn the mobile app and it has greatly improved communication between technicians and the office. It has also reduced our lag time between job completion and customer invoicing.

Cons

Some areas of functionality where users with full permissions cannot edit basic things can be frustrating. For example, the inability to delete a job that's been created in error and the only option available is to cancel the job and leave it in the system. Same inability to delete a visit, a PO, an invoice, or a quote. Most other issues are fairly minor, like sorting a list of Assets (i.e. RTUs on a property) will not sort them numerically or there being limits on the invoice layout options.

### "Great Choice for our Business"

March 25, 2024

4.0

Overall, our experience has been positive. There are certainly things we learned along the way that we wish we did differently during implementation but overall we are happy with our purchase and feel we made the right decision for our business moving forward. The customer support team is incredible and very responsive when we have issues or questions. They are constantly making updates and improvements to their product based on the requests of their users which is what you want to see in a software that is the heart of your business. We see as a partnership and are excited for our future with them.

Pros

We liked that still has a week view on their dispatch board, not just a daily view. This is helpful when projecting out work and building a tech's schedule. The technician's mobile app clearly had a lot of time and research put into it and it shows...it is intuitive to use and clean. The one-click invoicing has been an incredible time saver for the billing team and was an immediate improvement we saw. Overall, we also were drawn to BuildOps' customer focused model and the attitudes of their team members. Every member of the BuildOps team was knowledgable about their product and ready and willing to answer any questions and take as many meetings as needed to make sure we were making the right decision and throughout the implementation process. The built in quoting module has made getting quotes out to customers and tracking outstanding quotes so much simpler.

Cons

The dispatch board while good still has a bit to go to be great, if you choose to release calls individually there is only one way to do that when there are so many other actions that we are given 2-3 ways to accomplish them. We also wish we could arrange the names on the dispatch board ourselves instead of being locked into alphabetically. Editing an already active service agreement is also kinda clunky and requires some repetitive data entry and could be improved.

### "BuildOps has delivered"

July 26, 2023

4.0

Overall we are pleased with . We have a difficult accounting system and they worked with us to ensure the data transferred as smoothly as possible. We were able to "Go Live" within 60 days and have been in constant contact ever since. I haven't found any bug free software but a company that answers the phone and tries to help is rare and welcome.

Pros

Overall we are extremally happy with our choice of service and project management software. We are a system integrators that needed both and has filled that need. Just a few of the features we love are the submittal packaging and dashboard in the project management side, the ease of invoicing service jobs, and the customizable data dashboards that can show any about your company from sales, profit, and even invoice turnaround time.

Cons

While not a complete con, the maintenance agreements seem to be geared towards monthly or quarterly onsite services. We use them for annual inspections and offsite monitoring agreements so they feel a bit cumbersome for our needs. Adding in a module tailored for the life safety industry would be helpful.

We ultimately chose because of their focus on both service and projects. Most companies focus on one or the other and we exist in both worlds. Their sales team took the time to answer all of my probably annoying but important questions.

5.0

I could not be happier with my decision to enter a partnership with . They have exceeded our expectation with streamline design, integration with our previous software and Quickbooks and most of all the customer support is prompt and professional. I highly recommend Buildops because they are consistently innovating with the newest technology. Their Platform has allowed our company to streamline and become more efficient with our processes. They are always open for the client to give suggestions on how to make their product better. Their overall product is top-notch, but more over, they understand and care about their clients needs!

Pros

User friendly modules, especially the dispatching and the mobile app for Techs. The job/service module is well structured with the ability to have everything at your fingertips without having close out or go into a different module.

Cons

The pricebook currently does not have a search feature and reporting feature which would be beneficial when updating pricing.

Old technology, deficient in all aspects of their platform.
