Pros

Pool Brain is clearly built by someone who used to operate a pool company. It's easy to use, has robust features, features great route optimization, and provides helpful reports & alerts. I manage multiple companies within the same umbrella company. Customer support is top notch. I have tried multiple pool maintenance software solutions and Pool Brain is the best.

Cons

Very few cons, it takes time to set it up correctly just like any other software. However, once you set it up, technician and customer onboarding is a breeze.

It is a nightmare on the accounting side. Can only get help through the chat

Pros

The pictures and chemical readings are nice when it is sent to customer

Cons

The accounting side is a nightmare, no running totals, you have to apply payments, no way to take a deposit (without going through) 10 steps. Constantly on phone due to customers being sent late notices that have been paid, doesn't sync with accounting side of QBO. Would love to find a decent program that truly understands a pool company.

Overall we have had an extremely positive experience with Pool Brain and would still recommend it to any pool company looking for a field service platform.

Pros

The ability for use with both maintenance and service. The support staff has been top notch as well working to help accommodate the needs of our owners. The migration process from our current platform was seamless.

Cons

Still lacks some items for use for renovations and construction. Currently no docusign ability for contracts.

I would suggest PoolBrain to anyone who has a pool company, the system is very easy to learn and if you have any issues they are there to help you out in a very timely manner. I would rather work with PoolBrain over Skimmer.

Pros

The fast and friendly reply to any issues that I have, any time I find something that seems off or that I don't understand I jump into the Help Chat and they are there with a smile (I'm assuming lol) and helpful advice. If they can't fix it they pass it along to those that can.

Cons

I don't have any that I can think of because any time I have a problem I message the Help Chat and They are ready to help me figure out my issues.

Here's the thing, it's not if it fails or freezes, it's when. ALL programs from ALL companies have issues that arise. For me, it' how you handle, resolve, and most importantly proactively correct the issue for all the customers. Pool Brain's support team IS THE BEST! Super fast to respond, they pay attention to detail, they don't ask if you're a little company or big company, they treat you with respect, and fix your concern as fast as they can. Their communication is top notch.

Pros

This program is super easy to use, and has a professional look that customer appreciate. Love that customers can log in and see their service history on their own as well.

Cons

Nothing to report here. The Pool Brain team is always upgrading the program with awesome new ideas! The small list of things I didn't like were already fixed in the last couple updates before I even brought them up. These guys take pride in their work, and it shows.

Allows me to easily optimize my routes and schedule my technicians efficiently. Also, the automatic billing saves me hours of work. The overall software saves tons of hours and labor you would spend to have multiple people managing all the jobs that Pool Brain handles.

Pros

The ease and simplicity of the features! It attacks the main focus and pain points of the pool industry.

Pros

It is difficult to get onsite help with any of the software companies. \[sensitive content hidden\] onboarding specialists took time to schedule an onsite visit to our company. Ensuring we were set up correctly, luckily we were on his way to the airport.

Cons

very detailed which slows the process down but for the information we receive it is acceptable.

PoolBrain replaced the workload of 3 or 4 people, and does it without human error. It's a massive leveraging tool and the analytics are exceptional. It streamlines communication, workflow, quotes and job conversion and the cherry on top is powerful tools to respond to consumer feedback.

Pros

Massively powerful. Way more than a small pool company needs, but utterly irreplaceable for large teams who are serious about enterprise-level growth.

Cons

It's hard to cite any cons, because the dev team has been very supportive of all our feedback and are already working on implementation of most of the items on our wish list. Bugs are also responded to very quickly and fixed quickly.

More heavy on the tech- I realize it’s necessary for the performance we want as a business but the techs tend to complain for a week or so

We purchased a pool cleaning service business who used a ton of paper, whiteboards on the walls, and clipboards to organize and schedule. And, it had to integrate with QuickBooks Online. Pool Brain does it all! If you do the research and compare similar products, the cost of the software is well worth the investment. You save on time and labor costs, have happier customers and pool techs. I don't have any cons at this time. Every time I think I do, the company is working on an update to solve the problem!

From the demo to creating pool brain to be what we want it to be for our company the entire process has been seamless.

Pros

Fine tuning Pool Brain for our company was hands down probably the easiest part; they provide sufficient assistance as well as continued beyond the initial set up. One of our technicians is 66 years old and very timid when it comes to technology, she was able to begin use with very little guidance and use it correctly. The ability to provide each customer with uniform service is very important to us and Pool Brain allows us to use these.

Cons

Pool Brain does not currently have the ability to send out emails to specific customers and the route optimization isn't always the way I would like it however does do about 95% of the work for me. These are very minor things, and we are definitely overall extremely happy with the product.

Pros

This software is incredibly user friendly. It consolidates a lot of our work flow into one easy to use place and has created a higher efficiency in our business. There are also less items that "slip through the cracks" because of the way it is organized. The product is also customizable for your business so youc an focus on the things that are most important to you. The customer interaction with the product has been an unexpected bonus for our business. The customer support has been incredible, quick and effective.

Cons

There are no real cons to this software, it can be a little slow at times but it is also loading a lot of information so that is to be expected.

Reason for choosing Pool Brain

We chose Pool Brain because it was obvious that the person who created it understood our specific business. The software is really specific for our industry and nothing was missed.

I switched from another software that was excel based. It "lost" job information regularly and required my company to host a server to make it mobile friendly for my techs. Switching to Pool Brain was the best business decision Ive made to date.

Pros

Customer Service is first and foremost. The ability to basically manage my company with a mobile device

Cons

Subscription Based Cost but, with that said it is the best of the subscription based services available and as you scale up cost is predictable

We are a better service provider because of Pool Brain. It truly comes down to whether or not YOU'RE ready or "good enough" for Pool Brain, not the other way around. Pool Brain will put a magnifying glass on your weak areas, and force you to provide a better service with it's automatic parameters and customizable alerts. Our eyes were opened to our shortcomings when we migrated to Pool Brain. While we thought we had all our ducks in a row, Pool Brain revealed where we could be better. We truly believe Pool Brain gives us an advantage over competitors because of the intuitiveness of the software.

Pros

The quick snapshot of each property is invaluable to our service company.

Cons

The integration process was was quite the task to take on. Additionally, while pool service companies are similar in many ways, there are some regional differences that make processes unique. There are a few things we would like more control/customization over (such as tracking filter type through pulling a report, notifications when tasks such as changing a filter element is due, etc.), but one thing I can say about PB is that they are constantly listening to feedback and rolling out updates and changes to bring those requests to life.

This is an amazing product. It has the analytics and alarm features that, as a pool services business owner and operator, I've been dreaming of for a long time. I can't believe I'm only just finding out about it.

Pros

Pool Brain's alarm features that allow our business to track a pool's stats in real time are very important to us. They allow us to actively monitor our customers' water chemistry and equipment, to ensure no issues slip through the cracks and that we're proactively solving problems for them. Other record keeping such as technician stop times and chemical cost monitoring allow us to track our company's efficiency at a much more granular level and on a more frequent basis. Instead of relying on crude metrics like monthly and quarterly financials, we now have a detailed picture of where we're spending money and time, and we can review it on a daily or weekly basis to suit our needs.

Cons

I wish that Pool Brain could integrate with Stripe, as it offers the most flexibility and functionality when invoicing customers, putting them on a subscription, and issuing cards to employees.

Pros

Everything this app has to offer makes for easier and stress free work days! The prompt response from the Poolbrain team is definitely a plus! I love that they work with Quickbooks & that got us up and running in no time when we made the switch to Poolbrain.

Cons

Sometimes the software runs slow, I'm aware there is a lot of data in the system, but even if it ran just a little faster that would make things a bit easier.

Pool Brain is the foundation of my business, aside from my ability to collect clients, pool brain handles pretty much everything else. It automated payments, schedules the route, calculates the dosages/chemical cost/ profit margin/etc.

Cons

At first it takes getting used to because there are just so many features you don’t really know where to start. Once I learned how to create a customer and set up paya it became super easy.

Pros

This software has made our everyday operations move more smoothly from an admin and field worker standpoint. The service techs feel more Confident in their job and the customers love all The detail they are provided now. The emails and photos and customization very each customer helps out so much. Even with the bad customers that say things were not done. I just send over the service,repair and show it was completed with photos and a time log and time stamp. It also holds your employees accountable because the photos can only be taken through the app. It helps on all ends for me. I can log in from anywhere to check on my guys at anytime.

Pros

Everything about Poolbrain has made managing routes very easy. It's hard to name one feature.

Cons

None that I can't name. Any issues I have \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is very fast to respond and take new ideas into consideration.

It’s an amazing system that all pool companies should use! No more wasted time calling in for updates when it’s easily sent to me with all the infomation I need. I will never use another pool company that doesn’t implement PoolBrain!

Pros

I have been having my pools serviced by various pool companies, and my recent company started using Poolbrain as a way to connect to their customers. I now receive weekly updates by EMAIL on my condition of my pool, repairs needed and even chemical balancing! It’s so satisfying to know even when I’m away my pool is being taken care of and I know when someone’s in my yard! A game changer for sure! No more wet pieces of paper in my skimmer or scattered throughout my yard, glad my pool company finally jumped into the 21st century with this program!

Cons

That it hasn't been around for a longer amount of time! I’ve been through hell and high water trying to call in to see what’s going on with my pool, what chemicals are being used and finding out waaay to late about repairs needed! No more!
