May 10, 2018 5.0 I can give my staff their own company cards to make petty purchases like software or staff drinks. It's possible to set various types of limit on their card (I've not used this feature though) as I only put a small amount on each card at a time. The main benefit of this is that where I used to get weekly printed out expense forms with receipts stapled to them that I'd have to go through, photograph and reconcile in Xero, now my employees simply have to remember to take photos of their receipts and I can upload directly into Xero. Boom. Pros No more staff expense form nightmare to deal with at the end of each month! When we started using Xero a number of years ago the fact that I didn't have to store loads of receipts and spend my Sunday evening adding them to a spreadsheet was a godsend. It's frustrated me ever since that I couldn't let my staff use the app to take photos of their receipts and automatically enter them into Xero. Now I can! It literally saves me 4 -5 hours of horribly tedious work inputting receipts every week. Cons The mobile app should have more features for admin control - it's frustrating that I have to use the online dashboard to add funds to an employees card. " February 1, 2026 4.0 My overall experience with Soldo is positive. It is quick and simple to set up both physical and virtual cards, and offers fairly good value for money. It's integration with Xero speeds up bank reconciliation. Pros Soldo offers a pre-paid credit card for payments and cash withdrawals, and refunds. It offers simple and easy card management. You can block cards easily, I find this quicker and simpler than using a high street bank, and can use it on a desktop or mobile phone app. Soldo is easy to use and does not require a steep learning curve. Soldo offers a good level of security with 2-step authentication, along with blocking cards or payments with any non-normal or suspicious activity. You can top up cards easily, and create both company and individual cards giving various levels of access. Receipts can be easily uploaded via the app for reconciliation integrated with Xero. Cons I found that occasionally Soldo cards are not accepted by all retailers. Still, if you inform Soldo they do aim to try and rectify this and reduce any suppliers who do not accept Soldo cards, this is the limitation of pre-paid cards, but by having a pre-paid card it offers more control. As a charity we can not have bank credit card so this offers an alternative solution. Review Source Georg G. Apple Pay support is nice. It's easier to manage cards compared to legacy banks. Cons The reporting within the Pro plan is absolutely inacceptable. The report that our accountant uses produces a PDF where you cannot read the invoices that we attached to the transactions in good quality. Soldo told me that we have to upgrade all(!) users to the Premium plan. But we do not need the features of this plan. We just need a simple report where you can actually read the invoices. Furthermore, Soldo changed their pricing structure. Previously we paid per card, but now we need to pay per user. This means that we pay for users, who do not need a card (accountants for example). This was a frustrating change for us. When first launching we provided each of our partner stores with a Soldo Mastercard, which they used to charge my company for the wine before it left their store. Using Soldo gave our first few stores piece of mind that they would get paid. It was also very quick and easy to add additional cards when we signed up new stores. Cons Having to manually move money from the central account to each individual card. An auto topup feature would be great. The app is user focused, rather than admin focused. Pros Versatile e precisa la piattaforma. E' molto pratico anche assegnare permessi e limitazioni. Cons Nulla, è molto funzionale. Non vedo l'ora, se l'azienda consentirà, di provare la funzionalità dei bonifici. Forse l'assistenza potrebbe essere un pochino meno automatizzata da AI e mettere a disposizione una risorsa umana cui non è facilissimo rivolgersi in caso di bisogno. Un'altra cosa che forse potrebbe implementare è la gestione del carburante instaurando convenzioni di fatturazione con gli impianti ma capisco che sia molto complicato. Purtroppo il problema riscontrato con i caselli autostradali riguarda tutti i fornitori di carte di pagamento. Gli operatori dei caselli solitamente addebitano i costi utilizzando il metodo di transazione offline, il che significa che i fornitori di carte non sono in grado di verificare la disponibilità di fondi prima di autorizzare la transazione. Soldo permette di bloccare le categorie di spesa per le quali i clienti non vogliono che i loro utenti possano utilizzare le carte. Pros Ottimo prodotto. Utilizzo facile ed immediato. App utilissima. L'Assistenza clienti è il vero PLUS di Soldo: SEMPRE super efficiente ogni volta che ne ho avuto bisogno. Ottimo aver introdotto anche la carta Google! Cons Non è economico. Altri operatori sono decisamente più convenienti, soprattutto tenendo conto dell'utilizzo molto estensivo che ne facciamo noi. Manca l'integrazione con i più importanti software contabili. Poter avere un'integrazione ben fatta risparmierebbe tanto tempo di gestione a fine mese e sarebbe un PLUS eccezionale!
