Setup was quick and the service has been reliable so far. It does what it’s supposed to without issues. Pros Very easy to integrate. I had the API running in my backend in under a minute. It handles proxies and blocking well, so I didn’t have to worry about that part. Cons The documentation could be clearer in some areas, especially when dealing with more advanced use cases or edge scenarios. While the basic setup is very straightforward, I had to spend a bit of time testing and figuring things out when trying to customize certain requests. It’s not a major issue, but improving the docs would make the experience smoother, especially for new users. Switched from [Bright Data](https://www.capterra.com/p/208755/Bright-Data/) I switched because Bright Data’s social media scraper API had noticeable delays, and waiting on single requests was slowing down our workflow. NLP team lead Computer Software Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "I like the product" August 22, 2023 3.0 In general, I like the product, I just wish that you can handle the configuration and retries at your end and avoid writing and maintaining a lot of logic to accept/reject/retry the call. (I am not mentioning 520 errors, I am talking here about 200 ok)Even for 520, it would be great, if those can be retries directly from crawlbase, and get a directly final answer, and no need to retry and see if it will work next or not. Pros Don't know what to say here. Nut, I like the product in general. I could contact engineers and I appreciate prioritizing requests and even considering needed features. Cons The huddle that the end user needs to tackle:- Custom solutions for different domains. (e.g. specific country for specific domains: GB for AliExpress, etc.)- There is no good auto config (suggested config) and users needs to find it out by them selves (Certain websites require JS, others don't, ajax\_wait, country)- No validation on the results (Many times I am getting blocked links, restriction pages, empty pages, and still the Crawler return 200ok. Every, time I have to go into the very basic stuff, (try JS, change the token, etc...) I guess, CrawlBase should consider how long the customer has been dealing with the product and bypass the basic checks, etc. Reason for choosing Crawlbase I was satisfied with the results and especially Amazon parser, which was good enough. Crawlbase ticks all the boxes if you are new to the scene and require a slightly less advanced and easier solution than websites like Apify. Pros The wide range of APIs, easy-to-use dashboard and their use of AI models for crawling instead of Javascript on certain websites. Cons The often misleading invite for free trial only to find out you still need to add billing details.
