While I wish their installation process was more refined, and maybe some more flexible price models, their reliability and quality once everything is said and done is industry-leading, and that is for a reason. They know what they are doing and that is why so many of us IT professionals trust our business's with them. Pros What I like most about TeamViewer is their product quality, refinement, and reliability. Once you get the program installed and everything is working well, they have every feature under the sun, and it is quite polished. It just seems to work every time and that is very important. Also important, the video quality of the remote desktop has always been phenomenal, even on low-bandwidth connections. Cons What I like least about this software is the initial installation. There are a lot of options, different client softwares, and as far as I can tell, no super quick way to go about it. When you are setting up a new client and have 10+ computers to add quickly, competitors tend to be quicker and don't require as many hoops. I also wish they had more flexible pricing. $50/month is great if you need to readily connect to 100+ clients, but not so great if you have 10 or less, or anything in-between. I can also send and recieve files so if I forget to porint or copy something from my pc to a USB drive, it's not a problem as I can copy it to my phone using Teamviewer. Pros I love that it connects easily and quickly when the need arises. I love that you can give a specific or multiple pc's Admin access so that certain users can access those systems without the need of a person on the other side. I love that I can chat in Real-time with a client when doing remote troubleshooting. I love the easy to use Interface although I don't use many of the features. It really is a great program and grants easy access to any pc or phone that is running the same software. Just copy the code and password given by your client and voila, access granted. It's a well-known software and simple to install; it's great for people who don't know much about technology and need some technical help. It is also advantageous when I want to test how a web application is working on the client-side. I could simulate the screen on my PC, but it is not the same effectiveness. Being able to do this with TeamViewer makes me notice much better the experience my client is having with the service the company is providing. Pros It is effortless to connect to the other desktop remotely with TeamViewer; I only need the access key provided by the other user. The whole process is intuitive. That makes it also very safe software to use. If you want to increase the protection, you can put 6 digits and change each time you log out; this is a detail that I like very much. The chat works very well, and I have no complaints. It does its job. The application is very light, does not consume almost resources. It goes with good fluidity in all the devices for which it is available. It is very well optimized to navigate comfortably, regardless of the operating system used. Cons I wish more than two remote desktops could somehow be connected at the same time, even if it's just to show a third person what's happening on the screen by video. In the past, I'd have to wait for an IT technician to physically come to my business. Now, with TeamViewer, they can access my computer remotely, which saves time and is more convenient. This has been especially true during the pandemic this past year, as using TeamViewer has allowed me to continue doing business without worrying about violating social distancing protocols. Pros The most impactful feature of TeamViewer is the IT provider's ability to remote into my computer and troubleshoot issues. It's a fairly seamless operation since when I email my IT provider, all I have to do is describe the computer issue(s) I'm having and then send them the login credentials that are on my screen when I open Team Viewer. Once the IT provider actually gets in with the login credentials, he/she can address the issue(s). Cons The main feature that I think can be improved is the length of time that the login credentials last. For example, when I open TeamViewer in order to retrieve the login information for my IT provider, by the time I email him/her, the login credentials have expired. I then have to refresh TeamViewer to retrieve new login credentials and re-email my IT provider with the latest information. It happens every time I reach out to my IT provider with a problem that needs them to remote into my computer and I think it's a waste of time. The login credentials should last a bit longer.
