Really good experience--I prefer it when I am in a pinch and need to help a customer right away.

Pros

I like how easy it is for the end user to install and provide you with the remote ID and password. Walking them through the installation is easy.

Cons

Sometimes, you randomly get disconnected from a remote session and is difficult to get back on or you have to wait some time. This happens once in a while.

Great design, wonderful tool but no small business or solo-employee paid option that was competitive. Disappointing overall.

Pros

I’ve used TeamViewer for years, to connect to my home computer while being on the road. I have completed hundreds of appraisals, typed reports, responding to the correction request of clients and searched for MLS comparables through this system. All of this was using the free version of TeamViewer. No other remote software was as easy to learn, operate with, and as clear in connecting to my home computer.

Cons

I eventually wanted some support, and there is none (reasonably so) for the free version, so I attempted to check into the paid version. It is a ridiculously high price and does not compare with other options. Maybe there are companies of massive sizes that would be better fit than me, but for a small company like mine, it was out of the question. I also struggled with TeamViewer attempting to shut down my access, because of some glitches on their end that related to me working remotely. Sadly, I had to let them go.

Reason for choosing TeamViewer ONE

They were the hands down easiest to use and do not have any of the other competitors problems such as clicking (from my iPad) and not being able to select the exact file or data entry line I was trying to click on.

There is no other viable and easy to use alternative for teamviewer. Teamviewer has saved me a lot money to travel down to my home from workplace. It has made my life relaxing.

Pros

Free for personal usage. The best thing about teamviewer is that it's totally free for personal use! You don't need to pay anything to use it for personal use and thats the best pro among other remote control tools. Teamviewer is very easy to use. Even my grandma could install and use this software with simple instructions. Everything is list on the front of the software so you don't have to go inside to find anything. Very easy to use by anyone with basic computer skills. Easy to transfer files. Teamviewer has implemented a very easy file transfer system. You can just copy-paste or drag-drop files to send to a remote PC and you are good to go. This is the best feature because it makes everything easy to use. Extremely stable software. Teamviewer is extremely stable tool to use. I have never seen teamviewer crash in my years of usage. Also, it's very low on system resources in terms of streaming live.

Cons

Client to Host file transfer needs to be improved. Teamviewer is secure software, so as for the security of client data, they have managed to make sure a host can drag files from the client window. I think, they need to implement a pin/password for the drag-drop file transfer because crawling in directory and transfering files takes time. The pricing of business version could be a bit lower for startup companies. Their multi-session rate is a little high for a company that has just started. But, the rate can be justified from the features.

Cons

Great. Very stable, have had only one outage and performance issue during the 2 years of use. Would recommend for any business who needs a quick Remote session solution that is headache free with security.

Pros

Easy to install, easy to deploy. Has added features such as Endpoint Protection and monitoring which you can add.

Cons

Limitations of 500 devices for your corporate accounts which is not great for an MSP. Also the cost has recently risen and not as economical as prior.

TeamViewer is a fantastic application. Unlike operating system applications specific to windows, Mac or chrome, TeamViewer allows access to many different operating systems and platforms. It is incredibly simple to use, has built in chat features so you can talk with clients, and you can grant easy access to a user so that if they need to access a computer often (like a server) they can do it without needing to be on site to grant permission. It is a truly powerful tool with many useful applications for both personal and enterprise users.

Pros

TeamViewer is a powerful Remote Desktop tool that allows you to easily connect to multiple clients on multiple platforms. With a few clicks of a button, you can take control, manage, or access a remote client that has been setup with teamviewer. TeamViewer allows for the user to grant easy access, which means no password is necessary, or you can setup TeamViewer so that anyone trying to access a computer needs a password to authenticate, giving the user knowledge of access. It is an easy to use simple yet incredibly useful application. A free version exists for personal use!

Cons

You do need to make sure that client computers are running the newest versions of the software because some software incompatibilities exist between older and newer versions. You do need to pay to use this in enterprise settings.

Teamviewer is a must-have for any IT support team. Remote support is made so much more easy and reliable.

Pros

In working with external vendors, Teamviewer has helped our company to get or give support very quickly. We can remotely access the servers or endpoint devices and even employee computers to do troubleshooting, configuration, or reboots. Our TV boards deployed in different locations are easily managed as well remotely. Security is also a great factor for choosing Teamviewer. There is a setting to allow automatic connections, but also a setting to require a passcode before being allowed access. Transparency is facilitated and we know who sees what. The connection is very stable, and if ever we get disconnected it automatically retries to connect (esp after an accidental reboot). In this regards, I believe they do a great job with bandwidth management.

Cons

The pricing may be a bit heavy for smaller companies especially those which will require multiple users (multiple seats and sessions). But the benefits do surely justify the cost of investment.

It is excellent, easy and very necessary for any sub area of a company, in my case I work in human resources and it allows me to induce new income as well as to explain to the staff how to fill files that belong to the area. Similarly for the support area is very fast and efficient for an immediate solution, I remember once my computer failed in an update and our support colleague was not in the building and remotely I solved the inconvenience in my computer giving access and remote control to the other user.

Pros

allows communication between one and more users in different cities or even countries, it facilitates access to both personal and work information, in my work experience I can explain to my colleagues different presentations of information in the same way access files on their computers and make any type of modification.

Cons

in fact it does not have anything negative the only thing is that if you have internet access unstable while more users you will suddenly drop the connection.

Pros

The biggest selling point for TeamViewer is the support for nearly all operating systems. TeamViewer has a all-encompassing tool-set. You can set up meetings and integrate them with Outlook. That's a neat way to organize things to fix in other's computers. It also has video and audio call options to converse with the person who you're connected to. TeamViewer can also work as a remote backup tool.

Cons

Updates come out yearly and having to go through 500 computers to update is a major chore. It's very expensive compared to other similar tools and it's quality just barely makes up for it. Smaller enterprises may not be able to take the overhead costs associated with buying licenses (500 devices cost $200 a month, billed yearly).

Remote support for our agents and their machines. Also, once the software is installed on the machines, it makes supporting them even easier as they don't have to re-download anything which saves the valuable time.

Pros

Really easy to get connected with remote user. Easy to install. No configuration required by user being assisted. Switching between multiple displays on remote user's machine is super easy. The ability to push files to another machine is really helpful.

Cons

Sometimes it is a bit confusing for users we are assisting on which one to download from the main website. Not a huge deal, but it's the only issue we have encountered.

### "Great remote management software for our help desk"

We were trying to have an easy way to support our remote users and be able to also support our Mac and mobile device users. We realized that TeamViewer makes it easy to support any of our end users. We have gained time and cost savings in supporting our users and have benefited from quicker issue resolution times since implementing TeamViewer.

Pros

It is really easy for our help desk team to connect to our remote and mobile/Mac users with TeamViewer. Even our users who are not the most tech savvy are able to easily launch the software to allow our techs to connect to them. This saves a lot of time and frustration for everyone.

Cons

The software was a little bit pricey for each user license, especially for what the software offers. However, they do periodically offer promotions which help to make it a little bit more affordable.

### "A simple way to remote control devices and support your customers"

Pros

We use Teamviewer to log onto servers maintained by us, and to provide remote support for customers. The simplicity of connecting, and the power of the remote viewer once you are connected are a huge advantage. Using a customised support client, which the user can download from our website, we can be on the customer's device and helping them in seconds. Once on, the ability to see all of their screens, upload and download software and maintain full control allows us to support them effectively. For server connections, the ability to have a library of server details saved, so we can connect easily is a huge boon.

Cons

The price per connection is fairly high, but you get a good service for that. It can sometimes be a pain to get a connection from a customer PC behind a firewall, however you can usually talk the person at the other end through setting it up easily.

Can access machines from anywhere. Not limited to firewall issues or traversing networks as you would with RDC or VNC applications.

Pros

The software is very easy to use and and support. I manage over 300 machines with TeamViewer including recording devices and signages devices. Teamviewer makes it simple to quickly access the devices to troubleshoot issues effectively and efficiantly.

Cons

Cost. The cost of the product is really expensive. Also, upgrading is very expensive. I have been on version 12 for a while now because I can not validate the cost of upgrading. The software will automatically upgrade, but it will only let you automatically upgrade to the latest and greatest. I have a few older machines running version 9 and I can not auto upgrade to version 12. I have to get on the machine directly and install a "previous version (12)" to get the machine on the current version I am using.

Pros

I've used TeamViewer to remotely access both my own computer when I'm away and an office computer when I'm at home. I worked for a sole practitioner lawyer part-time for many years and he would get very frustrated when he couldn't figure something out on his computer, so I'd get a phone call or message, and I'd dial into his computer to fix the problem remotely. Sometimes in the evening he would leave work for me to remotely access up on his computer, and his computer on and not in standby mode, and I would log in and be able to work overnight on the things he'd left me during the day. I could also dial in and see whether he was playing Solitaire on his computer or actually working, as he could be easily distracted. There's file sharing and conferencing ability. And something else that was helpful - I could dial into my home computer and access the camera and see what was going on when I wasn't there. This was very helpful for me in discovering which roommate was stealing from me! The application has to be installed on both computers, so it's not like you use this program to hack other people's computers or anything like that. And there are settings permission controls on the accessed side which allows you to set up whether permission needs to be obtained for each access or if you have full authority. Very versatile and there's probably a lot more I could be doing with it, if I really thought about it, but it's great app and very useful for remote workers.

Cons

Actually, I can't really say anything negative about it. It does what it's supposed to do, and as I mention above, helpful in unexpected ways as well.

TeamViewer is an excellent tool to support users remotely. It allows you to have total control of the equipment from anywhere in the world, working efficiently and streamlining communication between you and the user. It has an easy and intuitive interface, which allows the user to use it efficiently from the first time.

Cons

TeamViewer is very inefficient on low-speed Internet connections, which is why sometimes users prefer to use similar free tools like AnyDesk. In addition, the cost of acquiring the product is often a barrier to entry for users or companies that wish to expand its use.

I was able to consistently troubleshoot an entire office from my couch saving gas and parking fees.

Pros

TeamViewer provides a reliable secure connection to screen share, host online meetings, and control pc from remote locations. It even includes a mobile app. The software downloads and installs quickly. It does not create a lag in the system or hog bandwidth when running. TeamViewer also offers a free version for private use that is wonderful to use to problem solve computer issues for grandparents or parents. It can be used for students to work on projects and many more applications. One of my favorite features is the ability to create a login and save your devices. This feature makes TeamViewer my go-to program for online screen sharing.

Cons

While TeamViewer is a wonderful program, installation can be a little confusing. There are multiple versions available, making it difficult for novice computer users to understand what exactly to download. As well, there are different tiers in each release which adds to the confusion. Once installed the user must also identify their username and password in order to confirm the share screen. Another con is when using the phone app it is hard to zoom in to see the areas of the screen.
