TeamViewer is a great product, let down by poor customer relations. If we need to offer remote services again then we'll be looking at Splashtop.

Pros

We've used TeamViewer for years, 5, 10 maybe more, and the software has always worked well. They've released a new version recently which I have yet to get to grips with but it looks like an interesting upgrade.

Cons

We got shafted by the annual renewal during Covid and they were completely inflexible, luckily we had an old perpetual licence that keeps it running but we will never spend another penny with TeamViewer again...

As mentioned in the Pros, we are a small software helping our clients with TeamViewer in understanding our software and installing it. Overall, we find TeamViewer pretty handy, available and easy to use. We can easily ask our clients to install and start using it. Overall, its a thumbs up !

Instead of explaining over the phone, the supporter can see live what your challenge is remotely. This saves time and money.

Cons

'Since the product gives access to the other party to your computer, at the end of the session there is no report generated to indicate where and what did the supporter do in your computer. Confidential data in your computer is not protected from a stranger supporter. Alternatively the supporter should be given a pre-defined access.

### "Best I Like About TeamViewer Mobile"

TeamViewer Mobile is the best thing in digital I have up till now. Recently we gifted Android to our Mother and she is a bit less Tech Savy. With the help of TeamViewer, we can easily configure anything on mama's phone even if we are not at home. The interface is so easy, that even mama can easily connect it.

Cons

Overall it was user-friendly but at some points when an apple user the quality of sound is affected.

Overall this software is a must have in my book and i would highly recommend anyone to download and set it up. It also had a great feature where you can create an account and keep tabs on all your computers and there update/security status.

Pros

This is a great piece of software that handles all the technical stuff behind the scenes so that even inexperienced users can benefit from its functions. Great tool to access other computers while your away and to help others when they get stuck, nothing better then to see and show someone versus trying to explain over the phone.

Cons

I dont like the pop ups and residual windows left on screen after disconnecting from someones computer. Also this software really needs an option to be able to work behind the scenes on a computer versus taking over from the local operator. Being able to do work on a computer without disrupting someone else would be cool.

At the end it seems to be one of the preferred tools but some things need to be addressed, the most is security and the usability as a professional tool.

Pros

It is easy to see a remote screen, the thing about the password to access: it works. I work all the time over MacOs and i can say this app works in a good way if you want to have a look at your parent's remote computer and help them fixing something out.

Cons

The place i work raised security concerns about team viewer and forbade it inside the company in favor of other tools. Many times i had to upgrade to the latest version to get a connection to work, which was annoying because last time it worked but at the time it didn't say i had to upgrade it simply didn't work. I used this tool the most in order to be remote serviced from an external IT service so the guy got control of my screen and did his job. In the main time we preferred to chat instead talking because of bandwidth issues (across continents the voice doesn't work fine) but there is no way to have a -separate from the screen- chat, to be more clear my screen was taken (shared) by the guy but as i typed he was of course able to see my screen and see what i typed and that lead to a lot of mess. So as a IT remote service tool there is much to be improved. There is no way to really reduce bandwidth consumption (there are options but those don't do much) and the lag sometimes was so noticeable that we couldn't work. I had to let him see my screen and he gave me instructions by chat, so... it is a screen share tool but lacks as a pro tool.

It is very easy to use and it can be accessible from anywhere and you can use it with low internet bandwidth as well.

It is the best software if you want to transfer files remotely.

Pros

It runs on multiple platforms that is windows, macOS, iOS, Linux and android. It also has a nice user interface with powerful remote features which makes it fast for one to navigate through it easily. Installation of the software is simple. It is relatively free for personal use. In addition to computer remote access, you can also share screen remotely.

Cons

Can be expensive if you want to use to more features. File transfer is sometimes slow or sometimes it may nor respond especially for big files. It is annoying how the software repetitively asks you a license if you don't have one. Lastly is that TeamViewer needs fast and stable internet for it to perform well.

While I used it in its free version, I found it very practical. As time goes by, the usage time decreases, which seems logical to me.When I got to know it licensed in a company, I noticed that the functions are the same as in the free version.Knowing that the clause for renewal generates so much anguish and stress, I was convinced that it is not a good purchase option.In addition to a good software product, we also need peace of mind.

Pros

This software is very easy to use, with intuitive options that allow you to get to know and use it without the need for a tutorial or prior training.

Cons

First of all, the value is excessively high compared to other software on the market. In addition, when you are licensed, the renewal clause is handled arbitrarily and imperatively. Creating terror for the users is not a good thing at all.

### "Quick and Easy Desktop Support"

Pros

The best part of teamviewer is its remote desktop control. This is a great program whether you chose to use it in a professional setting, personal setting, or both. I've used it on a personal level when I need to help my parents with a computer issue or I need someone else to help me. It's so much easier to just fix a parent's computer problem by taking control of their laptop instead of explaining the issue to them over the phone. In the workplace it's great because if I ever need IT support the service center can quickly access my device and remedy the issue. I'll also use the program with co-workers if they aren't in the office so I can show them cool software tricks or help them with other program issues they might be having.

Cons

No real complaints, I find it fairly straightforward and user friendly. The only con is that if your internet connection or your peers internet connection is poor, the shared screen will be very blurry. This is expected, but it can be frustrating if you're giving a presentation from your computer or trying to get IT help. Also, and this might be obvious, but make sure not to give someone remote access to your desktop that you don't know!

Overall it is a great app or tool to that let me assist users remotely. Best remote app so far because it connects right away and very easy to navigate as long as the internet connection is stable.

Pros

Team Viewer offers various features that's really helpful when assisting remote users. What I like the most is the ability to connect to any device and it let me do a screen recording. It connects to the end-user's device quickly.

Cons

I encountered an issue before where team viewer did not work if the end-user has a different version. I need to make sure that the user has the same version with me before doing a remote session.

Through TeamViewer I can access any computer remotely and share the screen with the computer I'm accessing from anywhere, print documents, transfer files and much more all without any platform restrictions since TeamViewer offers the ability to connection between multiple devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones regardless of their operating systems whether devices that work with Android, IOS or Windows, allowing me to perform the restart, reactivation of equipment in suspension and installation of applications on devices that have installed the client, I can also have the remote control of the computer in a completely secure way without using additional services or VPN servers, this with a great image quality and can also quickly access all its functions through the keys direct access. Without a doubt TeamViewer is the most complete and secure tool for support and remote access.

Using this software for debugging issue with customers and technician via desktop sharing and controlling their desktop. Can send or receive the files of bigger size as well as much i wanted and didn't face any issue with respect to file size to be shared till now. Sometime it respond slow while desktop sharing i think this can be easily fix with a high speed internet connection such as in my case it works. Easy to use, available in free versions, secure and sessions are always encrypted.Contacts can be added to our account so we don't need to remember Teamviewer ID's and shows when computers are offline and online. It is also available as an APP( i am using on Android).

Cons

Price are high comparative to others software in the same category. Heavy software in terms of resource usages and that makes your PC sometimes slow.

TeamViewer helps you to remotely access another computer from your own computer. This is useful when doing small troubleshooting activities as well as, for example, connecting a client's printer to a new workstation (for larger office environments). I love that I can perform actions on clients' computers from the comfort of my own home. Gone are the days where I have to drive to a client to set up their email address (my least favourite activity is going to sit in a client's office and have them watch over my shoulder while I work). I like how simple the system is to use - you download it, install it, open it, and send your ID and password details to the person who is going to access your computer and you're done.

Cons

Sometimes explaining to people how to use it can be a challenge. But other than that, it's really simple. How I like to explain it to people is "Send me your ID and password, and then don't touch the computer." I've experienced that sometimes clients have a small freak out when you say that you're going to be accessing their computer from your own computer - they think it's that their computer is being hacked (what I did hear from one client).

### "Lags a lot sometimes"

During my work, it is crucial for me to make changes to a remote system, even though the setup is fairly easy, the screen sharing sometimes lags and has performance issues, I also don't like the placement of the chat feature at the top. It is an important software for us as we use it regularly and i feel there is a lot of room for improvement with UI and performance

Pros

The best thing about Team viewer is that it allows for easy remote access to other systems by just sharing the Team viewer ID and password, it easily allows for making changes to a remote system without much hassle. So yes, for me the setup is the easiest part.

Cons

We mostly use Team viewer while we are connected on a call on Microsoft teams and we have noticed that running the two simultaneously, eliminates the voice from the call, so instead of talking to each other we would require to chat on the team viewer to convey information, this is pretty annoying, as also the chat feature of the team viewer isn't the greatest.

TeamViewer allows for full control of a remote device with close to 0 need for setup.

Pros

Working in a support department and needing to control the end-user's machine quite often, TeamViewer is a dream come true. We tried many alternatives. None offer the options, ease of use, stability and especially speed of TeamViewer. Session recording, switching screens on a multi-monitor setup, remotely rebooting (and automatically reconnecting afterwards!), you name it, TeamViewer does it. Sometimes you almost forget you aren't working on your own local machine. Brilliant product, really.

Cons

The prices are quite fair for what you get, but still somewhat high. This, combined with the release cycles sometimes coming rather quickly, means we're not always immediately updating / paying for the latest version update. When you then fall behind a version or two, you get the inevitable customer who didn't open your QuickSupport app, but downloaded Teamviewer from the official website. Cue the dreaded "Your partner is using a newer version of TeamViewer" error message. Asking the customer to close their TeamViewer application and to download your QuickSupport app can be a bit cumbersome at times.

Overall Team Viewer is by far the best remote session software out there at this current moment in time and i highly doubt that any other software will get anywhere near the standard Team Viewer has set. Team Viewer is reliable, accessible and efficient, what more could someone want with a remote session software. Within our company we use this on a day to day basis and i rarely get issues. I even have team viewer installed on my grandparents computers so i can provide them with support when trying to achieve an IT task.

Pros

The biggest pro about this software is how accessible and easy it is to use. Working within IT support i am constantly moving around from school to school. Team Viewer allows me to be at multiple schools to support more urgent issues. I use Team Viewer to access servers and computers, which gives me the ability fix what i can remotely. I also love the fact you can choose an option for single time use as many clients sometimes need to choose this option if it's a rare occasion of needing support.

Cons

The least thing i like about Team Viewer is the fact that it has to be running on the client computer which is obvious. However sometimes i have issues getting a remote session going when there is no one on the opposite end logged in, however this is a small con considering how many pros Team Viewer offers.

I have used Blizz with colleagues, charity organizations, and even just with friends and family. It works well for the most part, but some time of low quality video and screen share have made me look at other services.

Pros

Blizz works fairly well in most instances. Has alot of features for notation, screenshare, video, and planning your online meeting.

Cons

There were a few times where call/video/screen share quality was a bit subpar. To me, this is the most important aspect of an online meeting service, so it definitely caused me to reconsider Blizz
