Teamviewer was easy to use and was accessible whenever you needed it. Cons Teamviewer had some connections issue from time to time due to network access. It was a bit hard for me to use at first because it was not user friendly due to so many features that most of us don't use or don't understand. It works extremely well and barely has any flaws. Its very handy for solving issues we have when we dont have direct access to work computers and the functuality is great. I would reccomend it to anyone! Pros Utilizing this software is the easiest thing ever! We can easily manage our systems remotely and transfer files to colleagues without any problems. Out of the tools I have used, I feel that TeamViewer is the most stable remote desktop software out there. The file transfer feature is incredibly secure so therefore privacy leaks are not an issue. The user interface of the software is also good and incredibly easy to use and get used to. The software is also incredibly smooth running and there are barely any lags on our end. Cons The free version of Teamviewer does seem to limit a lot of the functalities available and the pro features are somewhat expensive. Teamviewer is a high-performance software that allows you to connect two computers and work from the computer you choose to manipulate to the other computer. We use this feature a lot in our work environment when we need to access the equipment of another colleague to transfer files, help repair any software or functions that are misconfigured, do corrective maintenance remotely, all these options without the need to have a technician in person, saving a lot of time and money, using this saving in other activities necessary to maintain our functions in cultural matters at work. Cons We have identified two limitations of this software that prevent us from using its features fluidly. On the one hand we have that when the internet fails, fluctuates or crashes the Teamviewer connection stops working automatically making it a software independent of an internet connection. On the other hand I think that the development department of this software should incorporate the possibility of incorporating more computers to the remote access since we can only establish remote connection with two computers. I suppose I could have used it for remote sessions sharing ideas with clients but I always did that on a face to face basis. My use of TeamViewer was strictly personal helping 2 friends, also retired, to solve problems like inability to get their mails, or restoring the system following a failed Windows update. For the many years I used TeamViewer as a personal user it was a good program however, the company's new policy of killing off their loyal free user base allied to their appalling paid customer support has killed any loyalty I had towards them and their product. Indeed, their new policy (which their website denies but their forum confirms) led me to search for an alternative, of which there is no shortage. Pros Simple to use, with intuitive interface. Very good for assisting inexperienced PC users to resolve issues due to user incompetence. Cons The company offers a free version for personal use only. As an intermediate PC user, I found it useful for assisting 2 friends that are computer challenged in resolving minor issues. Indeed, although my use of the product was rather limited, I did use it for several years and was happy with it. Then, in 2019, the company altered an algorithm that instantly identified almost all personal users as commercial users and shut them down. Despite thousands of complaints on their forum, the company refuses to reinstate the program for personal use only. In my case, they said "Even if you are retired and have never accepted payment for services provided via our product, your own email address is on a company domain, therefore you must be a commercial user." Teamviewer makes this possible. Connecting from a phone or iPad works great too so I don't need to be home in front of another computer in order to connect to my machine at work. I just pull my phone out and can use my machine at work right from my phone. It is a great tool that gives me easy remote access from anywhere. Pros What I really like about Teamviewer is that just about anything you can do on your system while sitting at your desk at work you can accomplish remotely using this tool. New features are constantly being added from end-user input. It is very easy to use and it just works. It also works great from my phone. once you understand the navigation it is easy to use form a phone or tablet also. Cons Teamviewer is a really a lifesaver for me. It is a little expensive but for what it does it really is worth the cost. The only thing that I had an issue with was sometimes the agent on the end-point would unload somehow and then I couldn't connect but this has been fixed in the last couple of versions. We can share files directly from TeamViewer we just have to drag and drop from the remote desktop to our desktop. I have the ability to forward all keyboard shortcuts so we are able to use all the shortcuts available in our system on our remote desktop as well. It has a chat feature that makes it easy for communication between the partner systems virtually. The ability to change the resolution and accessing the multiple displays of partner's is the deal-breaking feature for me as I can change the resolution to match the resolution of my monitor, laptop screen or external monitor.
