I've used Teamviewer, by-and-large for personal use, for 5+ years. After dealing with unnecessary account flagging time and time again, I looked for alternatives and discovered AnyDesk. AnyDesk is much faster to connect/disconnect and has all of the features I need without paying a dime or seeing ads. I've uninstalled teamviewer from all of my machines - It's just not worth it to Pay for non-corporate use.

Pros

\-'Free for personal use' mostly applies -Support for all inputs.. audio, display, file share, etc. -Ability to remotely disable/black out monitors -Always-on Functionality -Ease to install and setup -Account-supported settings

Cons

\-The free version has annoying popups -The free version gets 'flagged' all the time as if using corporately, when not applicable -The paid version is not a good value

Pros

One of the major pluses of TeamViewer is that it is free if you are using it for non-commercial purposes. While it's free it's also very secure. Did I forget to mention that is extremely easy to use which is one of the major challenges with software these days?

Cons

The mobile application of TeamViewer is not as solid as the desktop version. The mobile application is heavy on the phone and often lags which is a major drawback for a product that excels on the desktop. Another drawback is that the connections break and time out in case of slow internet.

Beware of the billing small print!!! Is says you have to submit a ticket 28 days before renewal to cancel otherwise you are charged for the whole year. They send just one email prior to your renewal date saying the product is coming up to renewal and make no reference to this rule. Getting someone on the phone is very difficult and calls are dropped frequently.

Pros

Where there is plenty of internet signal the product is ok. This is not a light solution and the support is terrible.

Cons

Terrible terrible terrible customer support, both will set up and billing. They seem to think they are the only software out there and treat you as such. Their billing practices and policies are sketchy!!!

I have been using TeamViewer for the past 3 years extensively and I enjoy using it as it give me the freedom to help troubleshoot issues with my computers no matter where I am around the world. I am also to carry out any video conferencing session very easily.

Pros

There are many things that I like about TeamViewer. Among these are: 1. The ability to access my home desktop computer from anywhere in the world given the right privilege. 2. The ability to share my screen and give access to any customer support individual to help me resolve software/hardware problems. 3. The ability to remotely update and upgrade software. 4. Free Versions of the software. 5. Carry video conferencing session and share presentations/training to multiple individuals indifferent locations

Cons

There aren't many things that I dislike about the software. The only thing that I can think is the time it takes to get used to it as a new user setting it up to provide the right access to share your desktop screen. One other thing that I have encountered is where the remote screen shows up as blank and you have to play around with the screen resolution to get it to work right.

In general my experiences with TeamViewer are fantastic. Light, intuitive and very easy to use software, both for advanced users and for more lay people on the subject of remote access. It has a great cost benefit for the company.

Pros

I love the ease of use of Team Viewer even for people who have never worked with remote access before. The interface and usability is very simple and intuitive, which makes remote support calls much faster and hassle free for users.

Cons

The only drawback in TeamViewer for me is the compatibility limitation with those who have previous versions of the software. The customer who contacts our support, sometimes has an older version of the software, and with that the automatic connection does not work sometimes, bringing the need for a code information by the customer.

Offering support to clients using our software and being able to view issues real time and offer assisntance and real time help

Pros

This is easy to use, we use a client down load, client gives us their ID and password and we are connected. Great way to support our clients as sometimes what a user may say they are having problems with may not be the case and it is a live view with the abilty to take control as needed. The recording function is great if you need to refer back to anything that was shown. The chat feature is also good, I have used this with a customer who is hard of hearing or an other instance when a call was lost I could tell the client I would call them back.

Cons

I don't think there is anything missing at the moment.

I do my research work with TeamViewer sometime when I can't go to the lab. For usage of applications such as Word, power point, Teamviewer is actually ok. Sometimes I have to use applications like illustrator, ImageJ, photoshop etc. trough TeamViewer, In that case, it is very difficult. So, I do not use TeamViewer for heavy duty work, instead I go to lab somehow.

Pros

It is very easy to install, setup and start working remotely than most of the remote control applications. Easy to share the screen with anybody, even for someone who does not have a computer knowledge

Cons

It get slower when you work for long hours. Sometimes it is not effective for heavy duty work at all. Even if you have a strong wifi connection from both ends. For an example, I've tried to use illustrator withh TeamViewer a couple of times, it is so slow, can't actually work.

When you want to install TeamViewer, as a remote access viewer, easily on iOS or Android - to use it for the screen sharing function (where the user can share the screen of an iOS device), you must use a commercial license which is time consuming and not practical

it’s a great tool for team work in remote locations. Whenever we need the remote assistance, it’s an invaluable tool. As it is free for non commercial users, costly tasks can be accomplished at zero cost.

Pros

As the name denotes, it helps teams connect. I realized the value of Teamviewer when I got in to problems installing a software. My network administrator who was at a remote location asked me to log in to team work and within minutes, the problem I ran in to installing the software was done by my network administrator. That’s just one example. Teamviewer helps teams connect, be it on site or over the other part of the world. Once the team logs in the possibilities are many. If necessary it can share the entire desktop with another user. If you need to install a program in another computer you can drag and drop from your computer once logged in. In short, once logged in between teams, there’s control over one another. Its free for non commercial users but enterprise versions are fairly expensive.

Cons

due to time lag, heavy files are difficult to be shared. If one computer goes to sleep mode, wouldn’t be able to access it.

I have had nothing but had a good experience with Teamviewer espeically having to update our whole account with very helpful staff at TeamViewer \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and another gentleman in Support Department \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and having to request additional information as we did not renew last month due to updating contacts.

Pros

TeamViewer Software is very easy to navigate and utilize for our whole IT/IS Department to help support our end users throughout our company. Both the management console and customer portal are not only helpful but easy to manage as well.

Cons

I have no complaints about TeamViewer nor have I heard from our staff.

### "Great for remote support sessions!"

I work in a technical field, in which I support software and hardware-based systems from many different manufacturers deployed on our customers' sites. It is impossible to be an expert in everything, and so sometimes we require remote support from the manufacturer. Teamviewer allows me to easily bring a support tech in wherever I am, which makes troubleshooting far easier. When a support technician can see exactly what you are seeing, and you can be on the phone with them at the same time, the resolution process is accelerated exponentially. We can also connect to PC's back at the office when we require files or resources for support calls that are not readily available in field service. Teamviewer has been a solid resource for our company, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Pros

I like how easy it is to implement, even in secure networks. It's a simple install and minimal configuration. You just download, extract the files, install, and you're ready to go. Then remote support can be provided no matter where you are or how you connect: over LAN, Wi-Fi, or even a tethered cellular connection.

Cons

No complaints! it is easy to use, fairly priced, and for those who are so inclined, free for personal use. I have no complaints.

In my area, it is a great tool for render management, you can optimize time and resources in a very effective way by monitoring several computers working in the same sequence of tasks. Even better, if you have several devices in a server but without peripherials, TeamViewer is the way to work with them. Awesome tool

Pros

\- The functionality is great - The automatic optimization to have a faster interaction with the device you are controlling - How can you create shortcuts to your most frequent devices

Cons

\- It used to close session if you were idle for some time, didnt like that because sometimes I was just monitoring activity and it closed session, if this happened in a device that was not part of your group, the password was updated and you were not able to connect again.

TeamViewer arrived in my life to facilitate remote work, it brought practicality and ease at a time when remote work is gaining more value. I just have to thank you for this fantastic software.

Pros

TeamViewer has been my companion in this time of pandemic that remote work becomes essential in the worker's life. I started using Team Viewer that year of 2020 and have already enjoyed several features. What caught my attention the most was the ease of connecting with another computer, greatly reducing the configuration time I spent with other similar software. Another aspect that I really liked was how fast it transfers files, even with an unstable network. Team Viewer fit my day to day service perfectly.

Cons

A problem I noticed in TeamViewer is that the more you stay online in the software, your speed will decrease, reaching a point that it is impossible to continue browsing, having to restart the software. Another feature that could improve is the free navigation time, which today is around 5 to 6 hours, after that you need to restart the software.

We use teamviewer for remote access and support for our customers. It works really good and our customers have no problems to download and start the quicksupport module. On Servers we have the TV-Host Edition for unattended access. Great Tool we would not miss.

Cons

if we change our computers or notebooks, there is a limit of 10 licence activations. Then you have to call the support center and reset the licence moves.

In my work, Teamviewer has accomplished a remarkable job. Cons

Some applications are not installed on all computers. I am working from home and sometimes I need to use an application installed on a computer at the company. I love that it allows file transfer between two computers.

Pros

Sometimes, we need this kind of softwares, but not all the time. The thing which I like most is this program is already bundled with the windows operating system. I need it from time to time anyway and it's ready when I needed.. and very easy to use.

Cons

I often cannot parse windows, then accidentally close Teamviewer application when trying to close a window / application that is open on my computer.

Generally good, the license has now changed to a monthly. We have multiple users using the same license and obviously only one person at a time using it.

Pros

Teamviewer can either be used with end user acceptance or without end user acceptance(basically you can get on anytime without someone at the other end).

Cons

I have used it for 7 yrs and about 10 times I have been unable to connect with Teamviewer and that is frustrating (just drive into work). Also the license is for one major version 11.x.x so if they go to 12.x.x then your license will only let you connect to version 11 software and previous versions. If you want 12.x.x or higher then you have to pay. We keep our clients at the same version but there are a few clients with higher versions then we have to use GoToAssist

I've installed it on nearly every machine outside of my company's recommended remote systems as I haven't found anything other than TeamViewer that's an easy tool to install and use for logging in another PC.

Pros

It's mobile app and use. While the main use for most people is the desktop to desktop remoting in, I've found its phone app to be invaluable when logging in and taking control of a PC. It's very intuitive on the phone with what I'm able to accomplish.

Cons

Sometimes when you want to hit certain keys (print screen, F1, etc.) TeamViewer will discuss setting up hotkeys or doing something customizable with those keys. I literally want to use the keys as their intended without having to have a pop-up telling me that I've activated a hotkey.

I find it quite amusing and re-assuring than using video calling method.

Pros

It helps you to connect with multiple people simultaneouslty and securely. I love how it helps to share folders and remotely access other laptops. When I need help to proceed in a problem, connect and ask for help on the other side rather than connect on voice or video call and ask them to explain.

Cons

The problem is you cannot share large files and the internet connection may be good but the software is slow always and you face lagging.
