It offers great performance and it's ease of use helps even our non tech clients to use the software without any reluctance. Pros The best thing about the tool is it is very easy to use and works best for technical support team to troubleshoot issues without having a need to be physically present at the site. I like the ability to switch sides, so if you are working cooperatively with someone on another computer and he or she needs control, the other person can manipulate your program with one click which is really cool. Cons Often the remote desktop connection speed becomes really slow, so that becomes frustrating at times. With my Business license I am allowed to connect without any restrictions to any computer in the world that is running the Team Viewer client software (and to which I have been given the TeamViewer ID and password). I use it to connect to end-user computers, servers, etc. I have never tried the relatively new option to use TeamViewer to connect to an iPhone, iPad, or other device. Pros I use TeamViewer (with Business License) to provide support for computers at a variety of places. As an independent contractor, I need to be able to access computers remotely at any time with reliability. I keep roughly 300 computers in my list to connect to automatically when needed. What I like is that TeamViewer seems to always work and rarely, if ever, go down. I can connect to any computer regardless of the screen resolution, Windows or Mac, etc. I've even been able to connect to computers smoothly in locations where bandwith was as low as 1-2Mb. Cons What I like least about this software is the high annual cost to renew my license. But, for the quality of remove connectivity provided, the cost is worth it to me. Review Source KJ Katie J. My husband has been able to fix others computers without having to go to them or having them load up their computer to bring it here. It is a great program, but like all programs it gets better with time and updates. Pros Presentation mode and remote access mode are my two favorite features of TeamViewer. Using TeamViewer had made my husband's job a lot easier but it has helped me when someone wants me to help them with their art and I need to connect to their computer to show them how to use a program. I love that a temporary password can be used allowing temporary access until logging out. When you need to connect to someone's computer at different times or connect when you want like when my husband wants to connect to my computer when I am not home and I need his help with something or he wants to set something up to download because the internet is faster where I am at, you can set a permanent password. It is so easy to use and anyone can use it. The chat feature is really cool too. That way you can talk to the person you are connected to and let them know what you are doing. The option to download the app on my phone is also a good feature that way you can use TeamViewer on the go Cons There is a potential security risk that could be remedied by a feature that lets you know what the connected person has done to your computer. Especially now, in the time of COVID, being able to help someone without being in their immediate vicinity is a wonderfully safe alternative. Pros Team Viewer allows me to help a number of elderly family and friends who do not have very well developed technological skills. Before Team Viewer, I would have to drive to their homes or try to communicate by phone and guess at what they were seeing. Now, with Team Viewer, we can log on in a matter of seconds, and I can ascertain the problem and, in most cases, fix the problem in a matter of a few keystrokes. Equally important, I can review phishing and scam attempts which seem designed to trap the elderly, and I can remove the threats and report the perpetrators to the authorities. Cons There have been a very few functions which I need to perform remotely, but the host computer will not allow me to click the appropriate button. Other than the Cons, I would give this 90 out of 100. Super easy to use and great options when connected to a remote PC. Pros There is a lot that I like, ease of use, simplicity for end users, etc. Not only is this a good product for IT to use for remote access, end users can use the Meeting feature to share screens for training and meetings. We Use Skype for Business and TeamViewer is way easier to use. TeamViewer does not block out the screen when Admin credential are required. Cons There is not much about this software that I do not like. One of the functions that I despise is if someone has a newer version than me I will not be able to connect. I understand this is for security reasons, but it is a pain when someone needs help and I can't access their PC. The way the mouse moves when remoted is so easy to use. I use this from my smart phone as well as my laptop and both ways are easy. Its pretty straight forward to setup and within minutes you can be connected. The best part is works from all over the world having remoted in from Tunisia and Portugal. Cons The only real issue niggle is the way that sometime the mouse when remoted doesn't like to open item from the tool bar at the bottom of the screen, its not all the time only sometimes. The other issue i have had is when you close a connection is sometimes doesn't close the connection fully and can take a while to get back in. Not a bad thing I can say it has yet to give me one problem and I have been using it on every computer for a few years now. Pros I think this software has so many uses for it. From using it for businesses, and being able to use one computer and bounce through all the other computers with this program. You can also use this for home use to add stuff to other computers in your home or maybe even in a friend or family members home. I myself love that as they updated their software it has got better and better all the time. It is now a compact program that runs on the computer and is lightweight not bogging down the computer at all. It even has where you can schedule meetings and such when you have the full version with business use as well. I think everyone should use this program I know I would be lost without it. I use it most times to help my mom with her computer since she is a bit of the older generation that isn't as savvy with computers. I turn it on simply she gives me her codes and I'm in. Even when connected it really doesn't bog either computer down a whole lot. I can also send her files and such easier that way too. Cons Only thing I really dislike is that the free version can not be used for business so I had to purchase a paid version for my business computer for that. If they are working remotely, or even if they are on-site, we only have to tell them to open the client and give us the number. There is no requesting permissions to access and we can setup full admin controls. I used it just this morning and it took me less than 15 seconds to be connected to my team member and I had full control, and had their issue resolved and them working again within 90 seconds total. I would use TeamViewer to remote into our various clients installations and either update or maintain software. I once used TeamViewer to remote run a calibration software on a multi-projector setup in NYC from Green Bay, WI and it worked great. Pros I loved how low latency the software was, even over fairly modest connections. Unless I was on a severely bad network, TeamViewer always performed admirably. I once worked out of a hotel in the middle of Indiana for three days remoting into my PC and doing work with a 3d game engine on my PC back at the office. Cons My biggest complaint about the software is the price. I used TeamViewer for work, and we had a commercial license, but for 'personal' work purposes, it was always too expensive for me to justify the cost. I used the free version, but would use it so much that often it would complain that it thought I was a commercial user. Ultimately, I ended up going with a different solution for personal use.
