After many years of use, TeamViewer is still my ideal tool for remote connections, it is available on several platforms, they continually add new features and improvements, its low latency allows me to work on other teams in real time without complications or high latency problems, It is a very useful tool for personal use and for professional use.

Pros

TeamViewer is a tool with many years of experience in the market, with great reliability, what I like most about it is how versatile it is, I can use it to give or receive remote support, for group sessions, it has a fairly low latency for video conferencing, or for remote access to other equipment, it also has several functionalities in remote access that allow you to organize the screen, talk on the phone, or chat between devices, it is quite intuitive to use and does not require configuration.

Cons

What I don't like about teamviewer is that when installing it in a vps, if there is no one connected directly to the vps, or the vps screen is focused, it cannot be accessed with team viewer, since it shows that the connection is not active.

Pros

As someone who works in media and production, several times I am needing to get help or get access to people across my network or I need to access computers or files when away. The remote desktop application has helped my work tremendously so that I don't have to physically use a PC or be on location. I can use my laptop to access my work computer with ease.

Cons

Occasionally the connection drops when there is some internet issues. I wish that it wouldn't drop so quickly.

Real time chat, easy to work remotely and sharing file.

Cons

At the very beginning 5 years ago there was some errors but after that I didn't find any issue with TeamViewer

Candidates coming from non IT background some times make mistakes or take too much time to connect which really make the hiring manager to wait and waste his time to. So In staffing we usually take access to out candidates system and open their WebEx/ skype when they need to connect with hiring managers for any interview.

Pros

Its very easy because of it User friendly UI to take access to someone else computer. Best part i really liked is that i can also restart my partner computer and take control again as it gets turn on.

Cons

sometimes it leaves the control without any warning and because of that we need to reconnect it again by asking for partner ID & password.

### "Great for checking in on a running instrument"

Pros

When I used this software it was when I was working in a laboratory and had an instrument running hundreds of samples a day. With that I would use team viewer to log in from home to the computer that was running the instrument to check to see if it was still running. This made it very easy for me to check in on the weekends without having to run into the lab to check. My boss who lived 1.5 hours away from the lab was able to log in as well. I liked that I could have complete control of the computer and could even do some troubleshooting with it when there were issues. I liked that I was able to log in on a computer or a tablet and still have the control that I needed.

Cons

Overall my experience with teamview was a very positive one and I did not run into too many issues/things that I did not like about it.

### "Makes IT easy"

There isn't much else left to say except that I'm beyond happy with it. Makes life a little bit easier.

Pros

There are many things to like. One of the bigger ones is the ease of setup. With a remote workforce, it's easy for an employee to throw this on the device that they need help with so that IT can get access and solve problems. Beyond that, it takes a lot less bandwidth than standard RDP and has a much more stable connection. I can't count the number of times that RDP has disconnected on me due to poor internet. I don't think I've ever had that happen with TeamViewer though.

Cons

The only thing that I wish could be improved is remoting in from mobile devices. It's certainly usable and is more than enough to get the job done. It's just a little clunky at times.

I just had more success and fewer struggles with Teamviewer than anything else.

The overall experience with TeamViewer has been butter smooth and our team has been able to take remote access of the user's computer without any hiccups.As of now, we don't need to ask the user's password to login to their PC and can directly connect through our credentials. This way of connecting is secure, helps with easy connection and lesser hassle.

Teams is user friendly even if you are not a computer guru

Pros

It is easy to set up channels and meetings. It is easy to use either the app or online version both in the laptop and phone. The online background themes are awesome, when one wants to use a different background. This software is easy to integrate with other teaching platforms such as Blackboard ultra, ArcGis, RStudio and Microsoft Office. The screen sharing options are great since different individuals can actively work on a single document online in real-time. I easily interact with my students and easily demonstrate examples, e.g. coding and calculations, that are performed using other software. They continuously keep upgrading the software.

Cons

The recorded meetings do not have the option to download but rather gives links to share or broadcast.

My overall experience was okay, definitely better than average and has a lot of potential, just needs some work. Solid software regardless

Pros

The pros are it’s a very good software all the features work at great easy and there’s not a lot of lag or bugs that I have personally seen from the software. It definitely gets the job done

Cons

The cons are it being to complex that people shy away from it. Also there is less complex and more easier softwares, that aren’t necessarily better than teamviewer, but just easy to handle like Zoom. Lastly, my biggest con of all is not giving users the best awareness on features like remote control of their device and needing to put more security on that feature and awareness based on that feature. I can think of countless of times that I’ve seen, hackers and scammers use teamviewer, because people don’t understand the software, it’s too easy to give access of your computer and not enough awareness.

My overall experience with TeamViewer is positive, I do recommend that anyone looking for a easy to use solution to check out this software.

Pros

The thing that separates Teamviewer from other Remote Control Software is the additional features, and the user friendly UI. The functionality provided by this software is unparalleled to none. I use it in both personal and commercial settings, for over 5 years now, and I've yet to find paid or free software that rivals this one.

Cons

I really don't have much to say that's bad about this software. They did have some major security issues a year or two ago that effected a lot of their customers, but stronger authentication procedures mitigate the risk.

Overall, it is an easy-use software for remote control and I use it daily whenever needed. Control is easy and connection is easy. I hope there can be a choice for multiple screens added to the feature. I have one screen at home and 2 screen at office, and when I connect to my office at home, the screen will not show the software on the second screen and I had to close the app and reopen it to make it appear on my screen. I hope the can be improved.

Pros

It is easy to use. Once your computer is listed under your account you do not have to recite the complicated password again since you just need 1-click to connect to your computer.

Cons

Sometimes it has issue with starting with Windows. There are a few times I thought it was running in backstage after I restart my computer but when I try to use it I found that it was not running on my office computer. Also, the app on phone for Teamviewer is a little hard to use.

I strongly recommend TeamViewer. It helps technical folks provide resolution in no time. Simply the best!

Pros

I used TeamViewer when I worked as a Technical Support Consultant with Black Board Collaboration. I did not have training in using this software but I was surprised by how fast I was able to learn the ins and outs of this awesome tool. Not only it made customers happy, but it also increased my level of confidence in resolving complex technical concerns. It allows users to share screens and to gain control of the customer's device. It's as if I am in front of the customer's computer. Amazing! Also, the ability to transfer files is also another win for TeamViewer. For technical support agents like me, it is important for us to share files or applications that customers need to install and this tool did the trick.

Cons

I noticed that the software requires strong internet connection or the session will be disconnected. If optimization can be done, that would be really be fantastic.

Pros

The good think about TeamViewer, was that it did well what it was supposed to do, even on high latency and unreliable connections. This, in connection with a free model for simple use cases, is what made it the default remote access solution for SMB and adhoc situations.

Cons

The business practices of this vendor have been ruining their reputation, and pushing existing customer to a increasing number of valid alternatives. There are numerous documented cases of TeamViewer not honoring lifetime licenses that were sold to their customers, as well as predatory and misleading business practices. This is a big no-no for me, and I do not recommend this to anyone.

### "Control computers on distance? Check!"

With this software, I can "enter" on another computer, and assist with any problem, with the possibility to interact with the user. For exemple, in online teaching sessions.

Pros

The interface is very clean, and easy. You can operate completely another computer on distance, without need to be physically there. It's just like using your computer, with the safety assured!

Cons

Nothing until now! Easy to use, with all the tools that you would have if you were there! Perhaps, the only tickle, is that sometimes, the program "forgets" the destination general passwords, and need the program password. If there is someone on the other side, it's not a problem. Otherwise, you can't access the other computer.

It should support the calendar entries for schedule calls 6. some times during its get very slow in that case any specific light version support is available for low bandwidth network. lifesaver, I have shown up several times for talks presentations meetings prepared because TeamViewer gave me the opportunity to access my data remotely.

Pros

I will keep this brief, I have been able to gain access to my laboratory computer without being there. As a researcher, you can be called upon to present particular data at any point. I remember during spring break my boss wanted me to share some data with him despite being away on holiday. I could show him because of TeamViewer. I wasn't scared or didn't have to give excuses. this has saved me countless times.

This software lags sometimes and that's the only thing I dislike.

My overall experience has has been great. Anytime I use teamviewer it’s always successful. I can communicate with staff virtually and also view their screen to see what they may need to update. It’s just great to be able to be in two different places and still see what’s going on somewhere else.

Pros

I love the fact that someone can take over my computer remotely and fix my problem without me having to pack up my system and drive into the office. Working for home you sometimes have many computer issues and you need IT. Well teamviewer allows them to help you out from a distance by just simple taking over you screen while you sit back and watch.

Cons

I have no bad remarks about this software. Only good things since I’ve used.

Despite the contra I mentioned of Teamveawer does not take away the spectacular software. An incredible speed of deployment, combined with a fairly efficient remote access and very, very easy to use. Allowing solve technical problems in an instant. Teamviewer is a recommended corporate solution.

Pros

In many of the occasions we are overloaded with work resulting from multiple contracts, customer service, advisory team meetings and control group. When we had problems with our PCs at work we had to drastically decrease productivity because we had to wait for IT technicians to come and check our equipment. With Teamviewer we take away this headache. Now the technicians from the remote support support us in a very incredible and even surrealist way, and I say this, because before knowing this software, I never thought that remote access could be done so easily, so fluidly and that it would provide solutions of this kind. shape.

Cons

In spite of the kindness that I comment to continuation, I must assume that this program can not solve problems of hardware in the system or mechanical damages of the pc. When these damages occur, teamveawer is rendered ineffective since a computer technician has to come to our Jobs
