### "Using TeamViewer for Remote Laptop Setup"

One of my responsibilities was to ensure new employees had the technology they needed ready to go on day 1. I am not in IT, nor am I particularly tech savvy, but I was able to easily download and use TeamViewer such that my hired 3rd party tech consultant could remote into new computers during COVID and set up the security programs and apps as needed.

Pros

I loved that our 3rd party tech support service was easily able to log in to laptops remotely within a few minutes of my download. The software was free (for me) to use and it was a safe, secure and easy way to allow for remote login.

Cons

There was nothing that I disliked about this software. It was very easy to download, run and use. I had no connection issues and our 3rd party tech support was able to login remotely to computers within 2 minutes of initial download.

The main use I have for TeamViewer is helping customers, partners and colleagues configure their system for first-time use of specific apps or programs needed for work.

Pros

The connection is stable and fast. It is easy to set up. From installation to "ready to use" it takes only a few clicks. Fully compatible with windows and linux.

Cons

There are no real flaws I have experienced through my use.

Pros

This product helps me in my day to day work, as a tool to solve my clients' problems, fast communication and effective and safe screen sharing.

Cons

The limitations in the free version, when I was using it it was more challenging when moving to the paid and complete version.

I've used a few remote control software but this one is by far the best! It's easy to use, no learning curve and it works like a charm. I use it for tech support, customer support, and for my business when I need to show clients something. I've used it to help a client fix his computer in less than 30 seconds and it has saved me a lot of time and money on international calls and travel.

Pros

Whenever I need to work with a team member on my computer, I use TeamViewer. It's easy to use, efficient and reliable. It's also great for helping clients with technical support.

Cons

this app is great and the improvements are regular. nothing to say about it. I'm waiting for them to surprise me again

Although there are still the above points, but I still like and choose Teamviewer, overall it is still very good to use

Pros

With just simple taps, it’s simple to support technology for family and friends, it is simple to deploy IT servies online to customers, it simple for other members to point out and highlight issue Teamviewer. Teamviewer is completely free, if use for non-commercial functions and extremly safe.

Cons

Teamviewer does not work through proxy servers. This version is quite exspensive , if the user does not use the special features of Teamviewer Business. In other way for commercial use, user must be licenced with Teamviewer, in addition, Teamviewer cannot share huge files and it will take a long time to pferform this task.

Between myself, my boss, my other boss, and most of the background employees for our business, TeamViewer is very, very useful. Especially since the Covid panic, the fact that we could keep working while at home is a must.

Pros

The free trial, the general functionality layers, the lack of lag (there is a little, but it's easily manageable with a touch of practice), and the consistency.

Cons

The price? Nah, there's very little that I actually dislike about it.

I have been using TeamViewer since long time for now. TeamViewer is a very powerful tool and its very easy to use because of that I'm still working with TeamViewer. TeamViewer is a lifesaver when you need quick support like installing software on a computer and you don't want to share the credentials with your end users. It also let's remote users show your IT department their potential isues when working remotely or on graveyard shifts

Pros

What's not to love about TeamViewer? It offers the most intuitive and user friendly experience for both the end user and the IT staff to work remotely. The ability to work securely and remotely can really save your neck when on site help is not an option. Your IT staff even haso the ability to control a desktop or server from their cell phones with the phone app. This is really versatile.

Cons

There can be issues with the server and the client not being able to connect with the password shown on screen, but this is usually related to Internet issues and 99% of the times resolves itself by restarting TeamViewer

TeamViewer is the first software that helped me in working remotely during the lockdown period. TeamViewer has performed a tremendous role while working remotely during uncertain circumstances occurring all over the world.

Pros

TeamViewer is user-friendly, easy-going, and compatible software as compared to other similar software. All I have to do is share my software ID with the other relevant person. I can work on my office computer. The other person may also view the screen, and they can also cross-check whether I am doing office work or not.

Cons

TeamViewer is a bit slower, and it is most of the time very annoying for the user. It eventually irritates me a lot during the lockdown period. It is comparatively slower than other similar software. The pop-up of the windows is very irritating, and there is no permanent solution to tackle this problem. In addition to the above, TeamViewer is a bit pricey, and the investment is not worthy as it should be.

Best remote access tool that you can find today, best value for money and also very reliable, I am a very satisfied user.

Pros

I am using TeamViewer for over three years now, I have it on my computer and on my mobile phone, as a technical support I cannot imagine working without this software, gets the job done with ease. File transfer is also great and user interface is very easy and from the very first day that I used it I never had any serious issues.

Cons

Client to host file transfer needs to be improved.

Pros

Allows you to setup remote connections to machines without requiring much oversight, easy to use, clients are able to connect and use company license without paying, stable, lots of useful features like chat, file transfer, video calls, etc.

Cons

A little pricey but other than that not too many complaints. There sometimes can be a noticeable lag in transmission

Having a VPN connection along with the RDP functionality is pretty nice at times.

Pros

It's pretty reliable and very easy to get started with. They also have a very wide range of good features such as VPN, remote printing, chat, etc.

Cons

They became very arrogant and are forcing changes down the users throats when the users are very emphatic that they don't want them! They are also very expensive and went to subscription based model to continue trying to force everyone into bondage to their ideas. I've bought corporate licenses for years, but I've had enough. They continue promising the world, so I've hung on for several more years, but it a downward spiral.

TeamViewer allows me quickly remotely access critical in-house servers and client computers not only from my office computer, but from anywhere in the world, no more lost productivity.

Pros

TeamViewer is one of my favorite free programs. It's very easy to use, and works on any device. Besides my computer, I have the TeamViewer app on both my iPhone and iPad. This allows me to setup remote support sessions, transfer files, images, text, folders using the file transfer tool from the office, or away from the office with any internet browser, or pretty much anywhere from my devices

Cons

TeamViewer may have limited functionality depending on your license type. TeamViewer supports dual-monitors on the client computer, but could be better by showing both monitors from the remote computer at the same time instead of having to toggle between the monitors when you are remoted into a multi-monitor machine.

Pros

This software is a great tool if you need to share you screen with a client or another office. You can take control, with permission, of the host computer and navigate as needed. It simplifies screen sharing but also if you need to work remotely. I use this software versus remote desktop connection almost 100% of the time because of the ease of use.

Cons

For some reason if the other computer you are trying to connect to, restarts and turns off, you will not be able to connect.

Fishes that are like the past are very efficient I never had any problem with connection to do business worldwide very very very very happy with product. I tell all my colleagues about this wonderful consuming product! Video conferences we have conferences have helped our business tons of money and with covid-19 we were still able to conduct business.

Essential tool when you have a device where you have important files and you cannot take it with you. TeamViewer will allow you to connect remotely and operate flawlessly. I love it!

Pros

TeamViewer allows me to remotely use my main laptop from anywhere I travel to, from my second laptop or mobile phone. It is the easiest way to connect to other remote devices, in comparison to Windows' default Remote connection solution (which I don't use for so long that I even forgot its name lol). For me, TeamViewer is essential, has allowed me to be a lot more productive, fetch documents and files from my computer, manage tools that I run in my computer 24/7... I just love it and can only recommend it!

Cons

There is no customer support for the free version. Maybe they could find a way to provide such support, maybe some people are not willing to pay a license but would pay a little just for the support instead!
