As well as the option of remote connection from a browser and double security authentication which I think is very good when connecting to users or servers. It has been very useful to solve technical problems from my home, as well as to teach and help colleagues from the university with the development of software and my family when they have a technical problem on their computers. Cons It requires a good internet connection, in places with public internet as a commercial center or the university the program is not very functional. You basically open up the program, type a session ID and password and you’re connected. Just like that. Also, it is not a really heavy program on your RAM. You can also use it for free with limited functionality but the basic remote connection is just what you need for a basic user. Cons I use the software to connect from my phone to my laptop at home and it is seamless for that: fast, reliable and super easy to use. However, when I’ve connected to other laptops from my laptop, it lags a bit to get connected. It depends a lot on both sides’ internet speed, so make sure both ends have a reliable and steady connection. You dont have to meet them face to face, just use team viewer and and you are done ! Saves me lot of time. Pros I like team viewer because nothing else really has such features. Starts with basic feature, the remote desktop itself, easy to use. Just use ID and Password and you are done! Another features that i like are chat and voice chat, i use those a lot too, because you dont need to use 3rd party software, those are build in. If you have such low end network, you can just easily reduce the stream quality so you have better experience. Cons I only have minor cons, when you and your partner use different version. Pros My parents aren't familiar with the computer, and I like that I'm able to have them start up the computer (I set Team Viewer to start on Windows startup), and just start working on whatever needs solving. For some reason, my parents seem to always have printer issues, and being able to take control of the mouse and keyboard to handle installing the firmware makes things a lot easier. Cons I don't know enough about this type of software to really say why, but sometimes I notice that Team Viewer will freeze, forcing me to text my parents to have them restart their computer. My guess is that it has something to do with the computer going into sleep mode and not re-opening Team Viewer properly. In general I have no issues or real complaints, it has delivered every time I have used it. Pros For me TeamViewer is the best software currently on the market for remote accessing devices. Even if you don't pay the free trial solves most of the issues of any private user or organization. It is easy to use and and also secure as both parties need to take action for the tool to work. I use it to help clients when they struggle with our projects and I use it to help my parents deal with the laptop/computer issues they might have at home. No need of long explanations and guides people do not understand. Cons Support can be difficult to reach on occasions but it is nothing that affects my work or personal experience. Sometimes the bugs have been reported as fixed but they still happen, which sometimes is annoying when using the tool. I would recommend this software to anyone who has the responsibility of maintaining a network of computers. Cons Since I only use it with one or two people (a few times a month), pricing is prohibitive for a home user. Your pricing plans offer quite a bit for a corporate user, not so much for me. As the years went on, more and more of the features disappeared with "New Versions" and I have to keep explaining that I am not a "Commercial User". If you had a pricing plan that would give the "occasional" user a chance to use the software, I would be more than happy to continue with Team Viewer. Cons Versions compatibility issue is the main problem I have always have with this software, for instance, TeamViewer 13 connect with TeamViewer 12. The timeout is not poor also, the connection will be lost completely if within 30 - 60 seconds of either end going temporarily offline and in a very rare scenario it doesn't, sharing voice (it might even keep echoing back) and screen will not be in real-time unless it is restarted.
