Very easy to use even for inexperienced users. It does not waste your time configuring it.

Pros

It is free of charge for non-commercial use. Easy to use and it is a safe and secure connection. I have not experienced any difficulty with it all these years.

Cons

It is hard to find an aspect of this software that I do not like. I have been using this software since 2007 and all these years other similar software came out and I am still a fan of this software.

It's been great. It's free on one version and thats the version I use and again controlling your desktop from your phone wherever you are is very convenient.

Pros

I haven't used any extended offering from team viewer as I only use the free version but the best pro about this product / app is that you can control everything right from your phone. I have two computers constantly running 24/7 at my house and if anything is forgotten such as a file, a certain code, etc I can easily login to my teamviewer app and even control one of those two desktops. Very easy to use.

Cons

There isn't anything at all that I don't like. Maybe when your controlling another desktop I wish it could use my phone to navigate around a bit easier as one setup is a dual screen setup.

### "Mixed feelings"

I have mixed feelings about the software. We originally implemented it to remotely access the computers of the physical stores with our point of sale software to do help our employees, install upgrades and troubleshoot problems. We abandoned the software because of the costumer service and exponential expense.

Pros

It is easy to use, but complicated when you introduce mobile devices. I´ve tried this software as a free user and a paid one. As a free user, I thought it was great that´s why I switched to being a paid costumer.

Cons

Their "personal use" policy is horrible with a lot of incongruencies and shady practices. For example, they analyze the type of software that you have installed on your pc, apps on your phone, places you visit and they randomly accuse you of "Commercial use" without clearly explaining why. The customer support is horrible too; look at the ton of forum entries complaining about it. Things improve a bit as a paying costumer, but you always get the feeling that you are fighting them or that they are you enemy. When you introduce mobile apps into the mix, everything is chaos: multiple apps for multiple devices that you don´t know what you use.

easy management of my computers and fast support to my collegues

Pros

file transfer became eeasier with copy past with the mouse the meeting over voip is amazing saving my computer and fast access to them

Cons

some times the screen resolution does not show well especially texte ,also we there is not option to join a meeting over normal call with access code

Pros

This app allows me to support my workmates even for hours before it disconnects provided i have good internet connectivity

Cons

At some point last year, it did not allow users to login for more than 2 mins before it disconnects that was very inconviniencing for users on free trial

TeamViewer has been extremely useful for managing a range of machines both local and remote; in particular we have lots of headless computers ranging from Raspberry Pis to server class computing boxes which can be setup and monitored without need a keyboard/mouse or even being anywhere near the device. Even for simple IT support type tasks it excels in helping us quickly resolve problems for users.

Pros

TeamViewer is an excellent remote support app. I have found it to have good frame rate, image quality and responsiveness/latency. It has a range of useful features such as being able to set up unattended access and assigning computers to an account for easy access. It is very well thought out and mostly behaves the way you would expect a program like this to. Clipboard sync is fantastic and allows copy/paste across two computers. File transfer is also relatively simple to use.

Cons

Incompatibilities between different versions of TeamViewer can be very frustrating, and doesn't seem to serve any purpose other than to nag users to upgrade. This can be particularly hard to manage in a corporate environment with lots of machines deployed over several sites.

Overall TeamViewer is the best remote control software in my opinion, free or commercial.

Pros

TeamViewer is very usable and responsive even internationally. It's easy to use and has a file transfer functionality besides remote control. The performance is great. In the context of the Unix world, it's much faster than X Window or VNC. Windows Remote Desktop performs well but needs a port to be opened (and port forwarded, if on a private network). I've tried out other remote control software and TeamViewer is the best (in terms of ease of setup, ease of use, performance, etc).

Cons

Very often the client version needs to match the version on the server side, which is annoying. Not sure the same limitation has been lifted in the latest versions. But from what I remember, version matching is still an issue. At least for Linux, setting it up for the first time without X Window is not easy and sometimes it just doesn't work. Besides the software installation, one needs to: 1) Set up a password (can be done via the command line). 2) Find out the TeamViewer ID (can be done via the command line but it doesn't always work) 3) Start the application as a regular user (i.e. non-root), which is tricky because this is a graphical application (I had to set the DISPLAY variable and start the application while detaching it from a terminal so it continues to work even after I end the SSH session).

### "Taking over my screen!"

Whenever my laptop has lost settings or is having an issue it is so good to know that I can call our IT department and they can virtually repair whatever the issues is.

Pros

When our IT goes wrong, I am simply not the one to solve it. I don't want to be told what to do over a telephone line, I would much rather 'hand over' my screen and let the IT guys ensure that the problem is fixed properly. I do not know the IT jargon and sometimes I describe what is wrong completely incorrectly and the IT guys then don't know what the issue is.

Cons

I do not have any cons at all except to say that unless you have a good policy I suppose opening up your screen could be a security issue if you deal with a lot of confidential info.

El escritorio remoto funciona muy fluido, y al conexión es fácil, con sólo id y contraseña, y permite al usuario remoto manejar nuestro pc. El chat es un buen complemento para comentar o dejar anotaciones.

Cons

Se corta algunas veces cuando la conexión es inestable, lo cual es frecuente. Las videollamadas las hacemos con otro software

### "Really simple to use"

A really easy to use remote support package which seems to be really reliable. It would just be nice to have a few more features for what you pay.

Pros

I use this to remotely support users all over the world. It scales down to slow connections really well. The setup process is really easy to talk people through and as a well known name, users know to trust it when installing.

Cons

It's isn't the cheapest per user and the contacts feature seems to be a bit basic. Not much has been added in the years that I have been using it.

While thinking of remote access software, TeamViewer is the best from all.

Pros

1\. TeamViewer is one the best software with almost all features required. 2. Android and iOS app os available which makes the software extremely useful. 3. It supports also secured file transfer 4. TeamViewer is compatible with most pf platforms like Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, iOS which gives it strong point over other softwares. 5. As compared to other softwares TeamViewer uses less CPU Power. 6. TeamViewer supports up to 60fps which makes remote access operation very smooth.

Cons

It comes with trial version and premium version, trial version allows limited tome remote session. It little lacks im user interface, however overall still its good experience

In general, the experience was great because the company was able to get results on what we were looking for and needed when we need to be on the same page to deliver results.

Pros

I like the fact that I was able to share my screen when needed to make changes on a project being developed and the fact that the other person who worked with me did it also. We were able to make improvements to the project.

Cons

I think that the option of connecting sometimes got too slow and caused the connection to fail and when working on a company time is sensitive and if you can't get a good connection it might affect the final results on a project.

horrible experience. Getting in your car and driving to the other computer is faster and better than using this app.

Pros

We had been using the software for free for nearly a decade until they cancelled our services due to an unknown arbitrary reason. We tried reaching out to support and sent in all supporting documents but always received a boilerplate response and could never get a response from a real person

Cons

Support is non existent. All responses are automated.

Overall, This application has helped me in completing my final year project successfully.

Pros

TeamViewer has been a very useful software for me when I was doing my final year project at University. We were developing an application and me and my team member worked in the same coding at the same time from different locations. This made it much easier for us since we were able to manage our time because we did not have to meet each time we worked on the code.

Cons

One con is that it would depend on the speed of the internet connection you have. Sometimes it could be a problem when working together. Commercial version is a bit expensive for smaller businesses.

TeamViewer is a very good tool. With it I can access my company's computers. It has helped me a lot, especially during the pandemic. The mobile app helps a lot when we need to provide support and we’re not near a computer.

Pros

Good performance. Ease of use: good for every level of user. Mobile app: it is very useful when we are not close to a computer.

Cons

The quality of the images is sometimes not good, even with a good Internet connection. The mobile app is useful, but only for simple jobs, as it is not so easy to do some tasks.

We have been struggling to support folks who were not in the office. It was always a series of phone calls and frustration. We are also a small staff. So when we would go to help a user inside the office, we spend a lot of time walking across the campus to make contact. Now, we can easily help remotely through teamviewer!

Pros

This software has been my go-to support software ever since I have been in the IT industry. I am naturally an IT support person for my family and friends. I have always used the teamviewer consumer product. Now that I am in charge of the IT department for my organization, I moved us to the corporate version of Teamviewer. It has already made an immediate impact. We have a mix of office and remote staff so the freedom of being able to deploy a quick support app or a dedicated app has been a game changer for us.

Cons

There is not a single thing I dislike about TeamViewer. If I had to name one con, it would be that the cost is slightly higher than the competitors. However, you get what you pay for. With the higher cost, comes a higher level of functionality and support!
