January 24, 2019 5.0 We have realized the benefits of time saved by not having our ads flagged as often, which also saves us money by being more efficient! Pros We have our virtual assistant use this feature to connect to our computer in our office from her home. It can be used for a wide range of things but we found posting to sites helps if you use different IP addresses so having her hop on another computer was helpful. Cons There's not much I don't like. Since we found this, we have been much more able to collaborate effectively. Your counter part just provides ID and password and you have access to the Remote Desktop. Cons Too expensive to purchase a license for ad-hoc family support. What makes TeamViewer so great is that it's a very easy way for workers to access their work computers from home when not in the office. Using a VPN is a great alternative for this, but because TeamViewer is so easy to understand, most employees default to it instead. More importantly however, TeamViewer allows me to provide remote assistance to my colleagues when they need help with a computer issue. And, the ability to view multiple screens at the same time is awesome (and something that most VPNs can't do) Cons The screen recording capabilities are not up to par. Pros during my studies and team projects TeamViewer makes easy to connect with my colleague’s computers and it makes easy to share screen among them. We can manage our systems remotely and it is very interesting. In my business life I have to share documents, Images with my staff and high security is very important for me. So the TeamViewer allows me to share my data with my staff under high level of security and quickly. It saves my time. Video quality is high and it provides simple interface. License structure got fixed and makes a lot more sense now compared to two years ago. Cons We wanted to switch to the new license structure but the Support during this switch was with the right intentions but consistently frustrating. Frustrating experiences: - I did not get replies to several Emails. - Replies to Emails were consistently not sent as reply on my Email but as new Email. - Replies were consistently not sent to my address but to other Email addresses not managed by me. - The replies were consistently not addressing me but another person not involved in the conversation consistently (After 5+ contact moments in a couple of weeks) - Agent did not take ownership for decision but blamed his/her boss. - When calling I feel like I have to press sales to get someone on the phone, pressing Support does not get me help. Pros TeamViewer is a useful app for people who need to connect to other computers. It is ideal for remote collaborations; I can connect remotely to other devices so I can organize my desktop to do other functions such as video calling and transfer files to other devices that have the program installed. It has some handy features. Pros Brilliant system for remote access and assistance. We can organize and categorize many machines by folder and know when they are offline. For remote access, one of the features I like the most is the ability to drag and drop files from one machine to another. In terms of features, it has many, like black out remote machine for intervention, file transfer, screen options are vast for machines with more than one screen, and it is easy to setup. Pros With the recent switch to stay at home due to COVID, TeamViewer has become essential. I have a separate computer at work with my files on there. I have to be able to access them from time to time. The ability to remote in on them with TeamViewer saves so much time!! Cons Unfortunately, the computers have to be in the "on" position and cannot go to sleep otherwise you are not able to remote in TeamViewer. Wish there was a better way to fix this, but I understand.
