Realized centralized logging with log shipping from ~50 hosts in the cloud, custom dashboards for web requests, warnings/errors etc. Used for monitoring, debugging and problem analysis mostly. External cold storage archiving of old logs after retention by downloading them from Elasticsearch via script. Integration with 3rd Party monitoring agent which thresholds log volume per host via Elasticsearch API. Experience has been great - can recommend.

Pros

It works - simply what you expect when you are looking for a hosted ELK stack for log management. Exposes all of the underlying functionality of Logstash and ES directly without any proprietary layer on top. Straightforward Pricing tiers, reliable and performant in general. The support is really reactive, even proactive, friendly and helpful - they really shine with that and are also quite flexible for custom use cases.

Cons

Direct links to a Kibana dashboard do not work without first logging in. Switching between multiple stacks a bit cumbersome.
