It is a great tool. Pros It is smarter and easier to use. Has an advanced technology which simplifies work for the best. Most of the work can be done on the mobile app remotely. Cons Full of benefits. However, during peak hours, it is hard to process data due to loading issues. Employee management was not straightforward and even seemed counter-intuitive at times. I did not have any bugs or issues and believe for a payroll platform it could be good. Pros The package was the perfect size for a small business yet offered some advanced features. It was a pretty good value for the money. Cons I was thrown into the product with no training and found the platform to lack ease of use. When I asked for help, I was provided a pamphlet not any training resources. I do think there are some hidden fees which wasn't great but I do think the customer service is great. Pros When you call the service numbers they are extremely helpful and quick to make resolutions to your problems. Cons High turnover rate. Never had the same person twice. I do not have to spend countless hours to calculate wages manually anymore. Pros It is more than just a payroll software, it also cover our business need for human resource software, time & attendance, and payroll processing. Working productivity is boosted after we change to modern timesheets to track billable hours, clock-in and build accurate report for shift scheduling. Tracking employees hours help to ensure worker is paid fairly by their working hours and reduce calculation mistake when calculating their monthly wages. It also help HR to process time off request by simple click either to accept or not accept the request. All this features is on one platform. Cons Missing training course for HR to learn about the system. It would be more effective if we can sent our HR personnel for face to face training to learn all about the software and its limitation for a better understanding. No problem is too small for them, and their responses are quick, thorough, and above all patient. We've worked with Heartland for just over one year and I couldn't be happier. Problems -- mostly on my end -- are resolved to my complete satisfaction. Cons Reports are not intuitive but can be found with a little digging. Our rep is always ready to jump in and help us however. It is difficult enough being a small business owner, this company could bankrupt you if you cannot weather the storm. It is very sad that a a company like this is still in business. They are suppose to provide professional services and according to my accountant and the TWC they are not held liable for their gross incompetence Pros The sales people. They were good, they personally visited me and the would still answer my call even after they sold me on their product. Cons We had a terrible experience. After the sales process was done, and we were promised the World, everything was downhill. We have had to pay over $12k in taxes and insurance audits due to incorrect reports. We have spent over 200 man hours and counting to fix their errors. Our employees never received correct W2s. We have 30 employees and Heartland has cost our company in excess of $20,000 and were with them for less than 1 year. They promised that their ideal company they served was our size and that we would be a perfect match. They reduced our weekly payroll costs by $50They promised us a personal representative that would be available any time day or night with a direct line to them. We were tired of ADP and UPS loosing our paychecks every other week. Then we spent half a day on the phone tracking it down. We could never get any from ADP on the phone without waiting.
