## What is VirtueMart?

VirtueMart is an Open Source eCommerce solution. It works as a Plug-in/Component for the Joomla! Content Management System. It comes with multilanguage, multivendor, multicurrency, media, categories, customfields, tax calculation, shipment management, payment processing, email campaigns, invoice or order management. An extensive documentation, FAQ, tutorials are available online for training and support. API documentation is also displayed online.

Usato per la gestione di e-commerce ed integrazione con CMS ma non è stato proprio semplicissimo

Cons

Non è sicuramente per utenti alle prime armi. La gestione dell'inventario e delle unità non è al top

Virtuemart tutto sommato fa egregiamente il suo dovere, come per ogni altro gestionale il consiglio è di inserire più dati possibili all'interno degli articoli, produttori, negozio ecc. per fornire al frontend un esperienza utente di tutto rispetto. Laborioso all'inizio, ma il risultato è garantito

Pros

Il vantaggio principale è quello di avere un e-commerce completo ed autonomo a costo zero, funziona perfettamente, non si pianta, risponde bene e soprattutto ha tutte le funzioni già attive senza pagare altre spese.

Cons

Sebbene tutto è già sbloccato le estensioni son tutte a pagamento, soprattutto i temi. Di default funziona, ma è bruttino, se lo volete bello bisogna spenderci un po' su.

Virtue Mart fue la primera plataforma ecommerce con la que he trabajado. Completamente funcional y profesional para webs basadas en Joomla.

Pros

Es una plataforma simple y fácil de usar, con funciones avanzadas y excelentes prestaciones a través de plugins y extensiones.

Cons

Algunas extensiones son de pago y sufre de limitaciones por ser una plataforma ecommerce basada en Joomla, que es un cms algo lento y desactualizado.

Pros

I used virtuemart to make my first ecommerce and found it complete and functional

Cons

virtuemart is not easy to integrate graphically with joomla and requires knowledge of css to be used at its best
