### "Carepatron: The Essential Tool for Modern Healthcare Management"

March 31, 2026

5.0

My experience with Carepatron has been truly positive. It’s refreshing to find a platform that is designed with health professionals in mind, offering tools that genuinely make practice management easier. The way everything flows—from scheduling appointments to handling documentation—has made a significant difference for me, saving time and cutting down on stress. What I appreciate the most is the user-friendly interface. It’s sleek, modern, and doesn’t take long to get the hang of. On top of that, their customer support team is fantastic! They are always quick to respond and incredibly helpful, which makes me feel confident knowing I have support when I need it. Their commitment to helping healthcare providers focus on what really matters—patient care—is evident. I really see Carepatron as a partner in making practices successful, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to make their operations run more smoothly. It’s definitely a smart choice for today’s busy healthcare professionals!

Pros

I absolutely love how user-friendly and intuitive Carepatron is! It simplifies workflows and makes managing tasks so much easier. The platform is well-designed, efficient, and truly helps professionals focus on what matters most. Great job to the team behind it! 👏😊

Cons

At myHerb, we believe that transparency and continuous improvement are key to delivering the best possible experience. If there’s something about Carepatron that didn’t meet your expectations, we’d love to hear more details so we can better understand how to address it. Your insights are invaluable in helping us grow and serve you better. 🌿

### "Carepatron for Small OT Clinic"

April 3, 2026

5.0

its affordability and ease of use, which make it a practical option for managing daily tasks without a steep learning curve. The platform is intuitive and allows me to complete documentation, scheduling, and patient management efficiently. While there are some areas that could be improved, the overall value it provides for the cost and its user-friendly design make it a helpful tool in my practice.

Pros

it offers great value for the cost while still providing all the essential features I need in one place. The platform is very easy to use, which makes daily tasks more efficient and reduces the time spent navigating complicated systems. Its patient management tools are especially helpful, allowing me to keep everything organized and accessible, from documentation to scheduling. I also appreciate how simple it is to create and customize templates, which saves time and ensures my notes and workflows are tailored to my specific needs. Overall, it helps streamline my practice without adding unnecessary complexity.

Cons

few workflow limitations that make documentation and administrative tasks more time-consuming than they need to be. For example, goals do not automatically carry over into SOAP notes, which means I have to re-enter or manually reference them each session. When creating intake forms, if I input the child’s name, the signature section defaults to the child rather than the parent, which can be confusing and requires extra steps to correct. I also find it inconvenient that I have to create a separate profile for parents instead of having all relevant information under one unified family profile. The claims submission feature is not very user-friendly, which makes billing more cumbersome than it should be. Additionally, I don’t like that other clinicians in the system can see how much I bill patients, as it raises concerns about privacy and internal boundaries.

The emails prior to sessions are a great help with being prepared at my sessions. This platform is easy to use and to make changes on an ongoing basis.

### "Different and flawed but also competent and smooth"

March 19, 2026

3.0

The learning curve is pretty steep for this platform. There have been multiple times where the only reason why I did not leave the platform was because I bought a year subscription and could not get my money back. That being said once I learned the system (and I am STILL learning the systems) and how things are supposed to flow, it is not difficult to navigate and find what you are looking for. Also there seems to be some common sense quality of life issues that need to be worked out, such as being able to have an auto signature for my notes. Would I pick Carepatron again if I started over no. Is it bad enough to make me forgo the rest of my subscription and pay for another system no. Will I renew when the time comes, honestly maybe. It is flawed and has its issues but is also rather competent when it does things right.

Pros

I like the customizability of the interface and the tabs menu on the left. It feels like the platform is organized in a particular way. When you grasp the concept of the interface navigating is pretty smooth.

Cons

The concepts and ideas of the interface is not intuitive. You have to really learn how the designers of the platform think to be able to use the platform in a competent way. There where many times where I would be upset because I could not find what I was looking for, but once I found the item in question it made sense where it was in hindsight.

Hi Jusiah, thank you for the candid and thorough feedback. The steep learning curve and UX intuitiveness are fair points we take seriously, and things like auto-signature for notes are quality-of-life improvements that will be going to the product team. We hope the experience continues to improve the more familiar it becomes, and we would like to earn that renewal when the time comes.

### "Carepatron is great for a single-provider private practice"

March 19, 2026

5.0

It has been easy to use and adjust to. It seems like Carepatron is constantly making improvements and pushing updates that take only a few seconds to refresh and activate.

Pros

There are an incredible amount of features, including text/email reminders, online scheduling, invoices, and patient portals for secure messaging. The price is significantly less than other competitors for the same features. I was able to tailor the personal segment to work for my audiology and hearing aid practice.

Cons

I would like the ability to fax reports directly from Carepatron. Also, it would be great to remove the Carepatron branding from emails and have it say it is from the clinic name. This isn't available even in the premium product.

Alternatives considered

Hi Roxanne, thank you for the 10/10 and for tailoring Carepatron to fit your audiology and hearing aid practice! Direct faxing from the platform and clinic-branded emails are both really practical requests, and the branding point in particular is something we hear from practice owners who want a more seamless client experience. Both of these will be passed along to the product team. Thanks for choosing Carepatron!

### "Works for starting out but not competitive to the major therapy platforms"

April 7, 2026

3.0

The program is a great price if you're starting out your private practice. However, it lacks some of the key functionality that a private practice needs to run effectively and efficiently. If you are starting a private practice and only working a day or two a week, it is manageable, but if you do this full time or run a group practice, some functionality of the platform needs to make some big improvements before it seems like a viable competitor to Simple Practice or Therapy Notes.

Pros

Moving my client documents and files over from another platform was fairly easy. I also like how the platform has it's own video conferencing option. It is a good price, but there are definite things I would like to see changed.

Cons

Carepatron doesn't feel like a program that was created for therapists to use. When a client or potential client fills out paperwork, it doesn't automatically update personal details, like phone number, date of birth, etc. It also doesn't have a great homepage. I wish it had a place where it indicated you have notes that are drafts or are not yet complete. It also doesn't have reminders that you need to complete something or update a treatment plan. The templates that are within the program also need some work or don't automatically calculate a score (like the PHQ-9).

### "Carepatron Review"

April 6, 2026

3.0

My overall experience has been satisfactory. I feel like I get a good number of resources for the money I am paying for the platform. I appreciate that.

Pros

I like the price of the services and what is offered with the price. I also really appreciate the transcribed sessions and AI generated note taker. That feature is most helpful for saving time with my practice.

Cons

The system is not as user friendly as I would like. Logging on from the internet is not always easy. Also sending out assessments through the patient portal is not user friendly. Interacting with the patients through the portal should be more accessible. Changing and scheduling appointments is not user friendly.

### "Limited functionality for couples therapists"

March 27, 2026

3.0

Customer service is friendly and sometimes quick in their responses, but the glitches are frustrating.

Pros

It was relatively easy to import notes from a previous EHR program. And the calendar program is intuitive.

Cons

If you see couples, it's not possible to automatically load / carry forward group notes from previous sessions. You have to go back to notes from previous weeks, copy the content, and then paste it into the present note. That's a huge pain.

I enjoy using Carepatron. It makes keeping up a whole lot easier. The calendar is the best part I think.

Pros

It’s very user friendly. It doesn’t take long to learn the programming or how to navigate the system.

Cons

### "Great for small or solo private practice!"

March 19, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Carepatron has been positive. I honestly can't complain with the price point and what they have to offer. It's a newer platform and has a lot of potential to grow. I do appreciate the AI use, although I don't use it for recording sessions. It's easy to use the AI feature to ask questions and find solutions when you're feeling stuck.

Pros

What I like most about Carepatron is the customer service and value for money. I also appreciate the ease of use with navigating the portal. As a very small solo private practice owner, it has been a great experience and I look forward to Carepatron's updates and new features!

Cons

It was a bit difficult to navigate sending forms and onboarding patients at first. There are some features I wish we had, such as a tasks list of notes that need to be completed or form automations. Patients and I have also had some issues with the telehealth platform in the past. I do wish the picture-in-picture is a bit more flexible. Thankfully, you can integrate other platforms like Google Meet or Zoom. Lastly, I had difficulty figuring out how to write off (for a discounted session) because any time you write off an amount it still shows it as uninvoiced, which I thought it meant I need to invoice or it's a task to do?

March 19, 2026

Overall it has been a very pleasant experience compared to previous EHRS. We will continue to use it for awhile.

Pros

Very good value for the cost, and we hardly have any issues. It is very simple to use, so it does not take a lot of time getting used to things.

Cons

There are a few things I would change, the first is to have more features using the text messaging. I would also make it to where you can add outside documents to the document area.

### "I like it!"

March 19, 2026

5.0

Overall, I enjoy using this platform. As I mentioned before, I am about to transition into private practice and I will still use Carepatron with my clients. I like that it automatically sends my client's their links and appointment reminders and you can create your availability for people to reschedule/request appointments.

Pros

CarePatron is easy to use! It has great features for a good price that I had to pay more with other platforms. It is easy to book appointments, manage them, and stay organized with various appointments (such as couples vs. individuals). It is also easy for me to keep up with all of my client's information and send them documents through the portal. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the various templates that are already uploaded to CP! I am about to transition into private practice and will be using CarePatron. I don't use all of the features just yet because for my job you don't have to, but I look forward to learning and exploring more! I have not used the customer support yet, but when I read reviews on Reddit, everyone had positive things to say about it.

Cons

For one of the practices I work for, we have had a few bugs. Either the cameras would not connect (and it was not because of our camera or internet) or it would seem like me and a client were waiting on each other to log in (although we were both actually logged in). There has also been an issue with some of my client's not being able to receive emails to create a portal. However, the pros for me still outweigh the cons. I still plan to use Carepatron.

### "Great Platform "

March 19, 2026

5.0

Overall it is worth the price for all the things that are available in the system. I have been using it for over a year and it works great for me and my business.

Pros

I like the value for the platform. It is affordable than others programs. It provides a free library of forms that can be accessed and modified to tailor your own needs. It is easy to use for the provider and clients. The appointment management system is easy to setup and manage. My clients are able to utilize the system to schedule their appointments without waiting. The patient records are stored and easy to access. There are some bugs and issues with the system but they are manageable and the company seem to work very quickly to solve any issues.

Cons

The least is the bugs and minor glitches in the system. At times it is hard to get into the provider files/forms.

March 19, 2026

5.0

Overall outstanding experience and great value compared to competition. Only had to contact customer service once for a tech issue with reminders being sent out and they were very responsive and accommodating

Pros

Carepatron is visually appealing and simple to use. It's calendar features make it easy to understand scheduling at a glance with clear color coded appointment blocks. From the appointment details, it is easy to start a note and issue a invoice. It is handy to be able to have the option to have different availabilities per appointment type. I appreciate having different pop up windows in the app to be able to reference other information, past notes or dates.

Cons

I would appreciate more analytics to better understand individual KPIs and financial overviews. Being able to understand marketing strategies and conversions would be great. While I understand the security behind a new telehealth link each time, it would be easier for clients to have one waiting room link that they could save. I'd love to have more provider notifications and reminders for appointments or when a client joins a telehealth call

Overall, my experience has been good. I like how the system currently works and can see the growth that the system is making. I have hope for improvements to be made that will make the program even better to use in the future. Even with how it is right now, it's a great new system!

March 24, 2026

3.0

Pros

I like the automatic appointment reminders, the ease of use of the telehealth platform, and the value of the product. I also like the ability to cross reference calendars from other sites/apps.

Cons

It's often buggy, sometimes my contributions don't save, and that's frustrating. I also wish there were more reliable reporting for case management - for example, I need to report every month how many sessions each client attended. I haven't found an efficient way to do that yet. I wish there were more options for collecting and organizing client info to use for generating reports for grant applications, etc. I also think the documentation can be tough to follow and track because the interface isn't so user friendly. It's also a chore to navigate the documents tab and review the doc history.

Hi Grace, thank you for the feedback and for sticking with us for over two years. These issues are all noted and will be flagged for the product team. These are meaningful gaps, especially for a larger practice with case management needs. Thanks for choosing Carepatron!

### "Carepatron Review"

March 24, 2026

5.0

Our overall experience has been great. The team at Carepatron is very responsive and has been nothing but helpful as we've onboarded Users and Clients to the system and configured our workspace to meet the needs of our Team. I can't say enough positive things at this time.

Pros

We have been utilizing Carepatron as a Workspace system to support multiple types of roles including Clinicians and clinical support roles. We've found that Carepatron is very intuitive, easy to use, and contains tremendous value for the work we engage in. We've been able to easily onboard new Users and Clients and have received feedback about the system being simple to use and effective for our programmatic needs. We appreciate that the system is secure, and contains all of the necessary functions we need to ensure Clients and staff feel supported. We also appreciate the opportunity to build custom forms focused on our niche clinical offering for suicide prevention to support our clinical model. Customer support has been phenomenal.

Cons

We really enjoy the system thus far. There are always going to be improvements that can be made or opportunities for development, which would be where our largest "gripes" lie. While we pivotted from a more enterprise level system that was too much for our needs, honestly, the ability to customize workflows and some other functions is something we've been adjusting to as Carepatron continues to work on these development options that are forthcoming from what we're told. Other than us adjusting our workflows based on current limitations to the system, we've valued the opportunity to support Clients through Carepatron

Reason for choosing Carepatron

We looked at other products as well but chose Carepatron due to it's ease of use and prime cost factor. It meets our needs closest following a gap analysis and review against the other systems noted, Carepatron performed the strongest out of the box

### "great for smaller groups"

March 24, 2026

4.0

good enough I will keep using it until we outgrow it. unfortunately it does seem like we will end up hitting a limit on how many providers we have before it becomes too much

Pros

value and ease of use. Includes a lot of features for the price, and the interface/portal is easy to get the hang of.

Cons

I have had a few support inquiries go unresolved, although most bugs and issues have been resolved and were usually due to a new feature rolling out

### "Has a lot of potential "

March 25, 2026

4.0

I think it needs more time and I've looked at so many different EHR's. I like the AI assisted note on Upheal.io a lot better. Moving records is a large commitment and there is an onboarding process. I don't want to move, then move, and move again.

Pros

Carepatron is an amazing value for the money. It was easy to use on my end and it sync'd very well with Simple Practice and Google. I originally bought the subscription not realizing it was private pay. The appointments and booking link were very easy to embed. It was easy to transfer patient records. We waited for insurance beta testing was done and some clients agreed to test it out. The AI assisted dictation is simple to use and recording session has gotten better. They got appointment reminders easily. Customer Service is usually by email or scheduled meeting a few days out. I really enjoy the online forum of worksheets. I like the trainings offered

Cons

You do have to buy a separate license account per person using it. So if you have a biller and yourself, you buy 2. It's still less than Simple Practice. My main issue with it was my biller telling me how difficult it was to set up with the insurance companies. She told me that you had to be there when they called to set it up and the times were random. Another con is the AI work flows but partly was me. It was sending some things but you can't click out of them and must do all documents in order. I fixed it and then it still kept sending the wrong files. The measures are not self scoring yet, they said it's on the horizon

### "Clinical Director"

4.0

I think this is a great system. I believe that it will continue to build with features as the company grows. I would definitely recommend it for individuals who are looking for a cost-effective user friendly system.

Pros

Carepatron is cost effective and easy to use. Appointment management has also been very effective with the use of confirmation emails. Entering patient information is simplified with the use of excel sheets and easy for training new team members on how to use the system.

Cons

I think there are a few issues with creating billing forms. I would like to be able to manually create forms that can ensure that information that is pertinent to our patients can be provided when sending invoices. Customer support has been helpful but sometimes the use of AI tools can prolong a discussion that could be easily answered when you are connected to a human who can understand the question without adding all of the nuances in the language.

Reason for choosing Carepatron

### "It is going good, not great quite yet. Getting there. "

March 19, 2026

3.0

Overall, it is good, not great, but getting there. The platform is easy to use. I love that I can dictate my notes, which saves me time as I run a pretty heavy client load as a clinician.

Pros

It is a money saver and over all it is good for note taking, the ability for my clients to book easily, it creates unique codes to meet for each session.

Cons

I don't like the connectability to my clients themselves, if a client happens to switch over before me, we are not connected right away. It makes me look unprofessional. I also don't like how it integrates my notes when I dictate them, but I think that is something for me to work on further. I work in a group practice and it doesn't have the technology to say book with me directly, which can be confusing for clients, who then find themselves booked with other clinicians within our practice.

Different reasons that I don't feel like getting into at this time.

### "Affordable and customizable with occasional growing pains"

March 19, 2026

4.0

After nearly three years of use, Carepatron has evolved into a reliable and well-rounded client management system. It offers many of the features found in larger, more established platforms while remaining a cost-effective option for solo practitioners and small businesses. The platform also demonstrates strong responsiveness to user feedback, with regular updates and ongoing feature development.

Pros

Affordable compared to other management systems, with flexible pricing based on clinic size Includes free telehealth, plus text and email reminders Customisable interface (e.g., colours to match branding or personal preferences) Ongoing system improvements with new features regularly added Integrates with Google Calendar Supports management of multiple clinicians across different locations and varying hours Strong workflow management and ability to customise email and text communications

Cons

Some newer features lack intuitiveness and could be easier to use Limited transparency around coding prompts (e.g., placeholders), reducing flexibility Telehealth platform needs optimisation; connectivity can be impacted by clients’ internet setup Customer service and AI support are helpful but tend to offer only general guidance Transferring a business or clients (including notes on past appointments) between practitioners is complex and time-consuming, requiring manual transfer of past appointments

### "Great alternative to more expensive platforms. "

April 9, 2026

4.0

Overall very happy with this product and service. I’ve recommended it to others as an alternative to more expensive options, especially for practitioners with smaller practices, like myself.

Pros

Customizability: I love that I can include my logo and customize the look of invoices, templates etc. The introductory free trial was very helpful to get to know the product and get started with it. The introductory year pricing was totally worth it. The ongoing price (year two) is decent, especially compared to other more well known platforms. I appreciate the built in video conferencing feature. It works well. Customer service was helpful and responsive when I needed it.

Cons

Not as intuitive as the leading platform in Canada when it comes to setting up how clients view calendar availability/scheduling, but I’m still learning this. When creating templates it’s sometimes hard to shift things around in sections (so you have to delete the whole section and start again if the order isn’t right… but maybe I’m doing something wrong here). Although PIPEDA compliant, I would prefer if the data was stored in Canada, and I wish the PIPEDA compliance was a bit clearer on the website. I do wish the video conferencing had a “whiteboard”.
