I like the ease of use, but I wish it were less glitchy on the video sessions. Some of this could be attributed to a client’s internet connection.

Pros

Carepatron has a neatly laid out format, straightforward to use, easy AI scribe software connected for case notes. Additionally the client appointment reminders have been helpful.

Cons

The video conferencing software has been very glitchy, a nightmare. I’ve had sessions lost and badly interrupted by technical issues.

The customer support is good, the AI feature saves me lots of time, and it is easy to use. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Pros

I like being able to keep confidential notes for my clients. I type my notes and then use the AI feature to summarize them for me, reducing my work load.

Cons

Sometimes it can be glitchy, for example, if you minimize or maximize your note you can’t use the AI feature to summarize the note because it didn’t recognize it. Also I haven’t had luck using AI features to pull information from multiple notes for one client.

It’s fine for the value of money but definitely not my favorite platform. They have a lot of features which is nice but none are smooth and simple to use there’s always something.

Pros

I like that CarePatron has a lot of templates to use and different features for types of services as well as how easy it is to send documents through the portals.

Cons

I highly dislike how every single time I use it it asks me to reload for a newer version. Sometimes I am in a virtual meeting and it needs to be refreshed. Also not a fan of not being able to run reports on hours of work.

It’s really positive and saves me a lot of time on tasks that would usually take a few hours. It gives me ease of mind that everything’s in one place.

Pros

I like that it has place for client notes and invoicing all in one software. It is streamlined very well and means I can spend more time being present delivering sessions and less time on admin.

Cons

Adding different types of appointments can be difficult as it’s not the most clear where to find it. Having more freedom for adding different types of appointments would be really helpful

Pros

Great value for the money. Easy to set up and runs smoothly. I was getting frequent glitches with zoom and I’ve like this better.

Some of my clients get confused when they see the email from Carepatron as opposed to it coming from my name

solid and clean, we have a clear workflow and because it is the same platform vision for everyone, everyone helps each other.

Pros

practicality is a very positive point, it is simple and easy to understand at first glance and this helps train employees to use it

Cons

I think it needs to be more customizable, being able to put the company's face even if it is paid, change place tabs, colors. There could be more tips on how to configure things, educational tutorials with images, pop-ups while you are in the process. It would be cool if, if the platform realized that it was having a lot of errors in the process, a help pop-up would appear to help, like an assistant. It could also have third-party automation. I feel that the system is very restricted, as if it only existed in the world. automations like notion, slack, whatsapp, email, google drive

I have found Carepatron has everything I need for my practice, and it is simple to use. I think it helps me to appear professional and organised to my clients.

Pros

I love that the free version gives me all the tools I need to start running my counselling practice. I especially appreciate being able to upload and organise my template forms, and share these easily with clients. There are some aspects, like the video call option and synching calendars that I haven't tried yet, but I think these will also be useful.

Cons

Sometimes I am unsure of what my clients can see from their end. I would like to be able to add a section to my invoices with my bank details, but I don't think I can, unless I pay to customise.

I have been very pleased with Carepatron and appreciate the quick response from your team when I have encountered a problem. Updates that I would like for you to consider include: 1) place for a client photo on the personal information page, 2) place for clients to upload a photo ID, 3) ability to create and save a custom signature for use with templates, 4) option to schedule electronic payouts to once per week rather than when processed.

Pros

Carepatron has proven to be an amazing tool for me to create and maintain client records. The platform if very easy to use and client's have expressed their preference for the video platform versus the prior platform I was using.

Cons

While I do not have any significant "dislikes" about Carepatron, there are a couple of things I would like to see available -- that is unless they are already built within the platform and I am just missing how to access them. One is the ability to open the video link in a new tab or window which would allow me to access the client record if needed during a session. Second, I have several teen clients and use the relationships page to connect their parent/guardian to their record. I would like the ability to send parents an "intake packet" all at once rather than having to send each form as a separate document.

I’ve had a great deal of experience with other platforms, and this one is incredibly user-friendly. I love the simplicity of it.

Pros

I love that it does not cost me anything as someone just starting out. I have used various other platforms at least eight and this one is very user-friendly.

Cons

I did not have good luck with the video platform and went back to using Doximity after comparing and contrasting with my clients we made this joint agreement. I did not find the AI tools as user-friendly as the auto notes that I use wish I could find that all in one place.

My overall experience has been great! They have great customer support and their platform has been easy to use to manage appointments!

Pros

It's easy to use and definitely worth the amount I pay for. It has been easy to merge patient records onto Carepatron.

Cons

One minor con but it may be a bug issue, when I try to open the files that have been merged it says they are unable to be seen. I hope that issue has been resolved. Other than that, no complaints!

### "Love it but sadly doesn't integrate with Medicare"

4 stars. I really need Medicare, so as much as I love using Carepatron, I am likely to move over to another platform this year so I can integrate with medicare / Xero to keep my accountant happy.

Pros

I love using it, it is easy to use, aesthetically pleasing, can navigate across the system easily. Always doing updates and improving the system. Respond quickly to requests and difficulties. The billing system is brilliant except I don't use it due to no integration with Medicare. Excellent templates and form builders

Cons

No integration with Medicare. A big let down as 90% of my clients submit Medicare claims :(. It was slow for clients to fill in their intake forms, the software would pause or glitch halfway through and they would loose their form or get frustrated and not submit, so had to do in session time, and also waste time in session checking if they had read and signed essential documents consent signatures etc.. because they forgot they had not completed the forms because of the software glitch. I lost a couple of clients from this as they got so frustrated with the process. Considering they were coming for depression, anxiety and anger issues, this extra negative experience first up, put them off seeing me :( I nearly closed my account and was going to go to another software due to this, however I think they ironed out the problem now as no client has complained about this lately. When I go to rebook, it will allow booking on a time slot that is already taken, so I have to waste time shifting back and forth making sure that I haven't double booked. setting up the referral letters has been tricky and I still can't get it to work properly.

Overall, I have loved the service especially with it being free, it offers multiple functions and the team are amazing to work with. I would love to have this be my only platform for documentation if I could!

Pros

I love the free option for this the most. Feature wise, I most appreciate the templating options for documentation. Service wise, I most appreciate the team and their responsiveness as well as, openness to feedback!

Cons

The UI feels visually unappealing as well as, leaves something to be desired in the ways to access notes feels difficult.

Very good overall! I am very happy with my decision to use Carepatron and the team is accessible and responsive online or with virtual training sessions.

Pros

I am a brand new private practice owner. I love that Carepatron is contantly improving and the ai tool is very helpful for immediate questions or assistance. I am very pleased with my decision and look forward to the continued evolution.

Cons

I wish there was a an option to hold a virtual appointment with a window to take notes at the same time versus opening another tab which can cause some issues.

As a solo practitioner, I find Carepatron incredibly valuable for its affordability and extensive customization. It allows me to tailor the platform to my specific clinical needs without the overhead of more complex systems. It’s a perfect, cost-effective fit for an independent practice..

Cons

No complaints here! Everything has been great so far and I’m happy with the progress. though at time my customers have trouble logging into the video.

I recommend it to everyone! You can't beat the value. They have a free version which still has all of these awesome features for part-time or just starting out practices and it's easy to upgrade to a more robust version if needed.

Pros

The value for money is nice as there are templates for notes and paperwork, AI, video conferencing, and it's streamlined. I like the appointment management features to help remind clients of their appointments and the scheduling calendars.

Cons

Some of the documentation system takes getting use to. There are different features you can insert into documents to really personalize them such as drop boxes, multiple selection options, signing, etc.

Overall, carepatron is easy to easy to use. The dictation feature for note taking is really helpful and speeds up the note taking process. I really find the templates library helpful as well.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use the portal for scheduling, billing, and notes. As a bonus, the price is more affordable compared to other ehr portals.

Cons

Sometimes clients can struggle with how to complete forms or update their payment information when the intake is sent.

Pros

CarePatron is an excellent software that has made management, client engagement, and appointment reminders easier than ever before! With low costs, charged per user, and easy-access to customer support, we have never looked back. All records are in one place and we haven't had any bugs to deal with.

Cons

Unable to remove the 'billing' aspect from our software as we are a non-profit and don't charge clients. Other than this, no issues.

It sucks. The tool has a good proposal, but it's very buggy and the support is very slow to resolve the issues raised. The tool does not accept foreign credit cards and they ask you to go talk to Stripe. I have an issue with my email that persists for over two months, and now that they changed their subscription model without notice, they offered me a free upgrade for one year so when renewal comes, I'll be forced to downgrade to one of their new plans, which are far more expensive than the one I currently have. They are not transparent and, so far, I'll stop recommending them to my colleagues.

Pros

It's an ok tool: It contemplates a secure meeting room, scheduling page per employee, etc.

Cons

The lack of transparency: the free version grants you 1 GB of space, but that gets filled within 3 or 4 months of usage with 4 or 5 months. There's nowhere for you to check where that space is used. That will be consumed even if you don't attach any files to the patients' records. I went to an unlimited plan, but now they changed their subscription model and apparently my plan is no longer unlimited, so once I achieve 5 GB of data (according to them), I'll need to look for another partner. Besides, Carepatron doesn't offer integration with CalDAV calendars or the creation of new meetings. Every patient will always see the same link, risking patients entering into other people's sessions.

### "Pretty, but not there yet"

I would have kept it if it didnt have those cons, as they are major. Enough so that I will spend $100 a month for SP instead of $12 a month. It has to be changed.

Pros

Value for money, how pretty it is, customization, and customer support. That is pretty much the gist of what makes it good.

Cons

It was not functional for my therapy practice as you could not have a multiple client account for families or couples. Linking is not helpful. Also, they do not prepare 1099 or any tax documents.

### "Carepatron vs the other guys"

As we have had the software now for a few months, we are getting better and customizing it to fit our needs. The pricing is based on the number of team members we have using it. Many of our team only see one or two clients in a week as they are working on their certification. This becomes a little expensive.

Pros

Scheduling and document retention are really easy. Each counselor is able to record their session notes, and they love the ability to use voice with the app.

Cons

Wish it could block out rooms. Our counselors are not assigned offices for their sole use; they book a time for one of the rooms. If there were a way to schedule each room, it would avoid the extra time spent to make sure space is available.

So far it's been okay and getting me by. I am glad I can have a minimum amount of clients without having to pay, but I would not want to pay to use this platform unless the ability to documentation was improved so that my clients can see them in their account.

Pros

I like the ease of scheduling and billing for me and clients. The pre-made templates can be helpful too.

Cons

I really do not enjoy that my clients cannot see their documents. Multiple clients do not get notified even when I share a document with them. I need to be able to upload their protocols onto the software so it is secure, but they never receive them so that is very frustrating. It doesn't seem like they have very much access on their end.

I have been extremely pleased with Carepatron and would recommended it to anyone who needs a client management or billing program.

Pros

Carepatron is the full package: Scheduling, virtual counseling, automated appointment reminders, client messaging, billing, etc. once you get the hang of it, the platform is incredibly easy to use. And it’s the most affordable platform I could find without losing any of the features.

Cons

Every once in a while Carepatron can be a little buggy, but it has never interfered with my business.
