Overall it is positive. I'm not a lifelong user yet but may be as long as the company continues to improve their product. Being an early adopter has it's drawbacks but none have been deal breakers for me.

Pros

It has suited my needs and come in at a cost under many competitors. It is fairly intuitive and I've seen productive changes since I began using it about 8 months ago. There was a period where things were crashing and that seems to have resolved itself.

Cons

The AI note taker is nice but it still is nowhere near as accurate as products like Blueprint. I frequently have to take my transcript into another product to get a good note.

### "Overall Great Value for Great Platform"

Has been very good - the transition was harder, but their customer service was great and supportive.

Pros

Carepatron is what EHR should be. It's affordable and comprehensive EHR software. Their customer support is soooo good - fast response time and thorough answers. Carepatron is easy to use and navigate - familiar to other EHR platforms. It's easy to make appointments and send out reminders. The Patient records are clear and easy to navigate. The Carepatron team is almost always aware of bugs and issues and while they can take time to resolve, they always communicate their plan.

Cons

It's a newer company so there are more bugs. I'm guessing maybe it's a smaller team working on the back end. But even with the bugs, the price and comprehensive nature of the platform is so worth it to me.

### "You get what you pay for "

You get what you pay for. Low price, beta program, super glitchy, overall basic and not user friendly

Pros

The price, the easy calendar and set up. You can add your company logo and it shows on invoices. Not much else

Cons

The customer support, the bugs and glitches with video sessions, the super basic beta feel of the client charts and billing, difficultly of navigation of billing, billing insurance is difficult. Entire billing area is not user friendly.

### "Only one little thing"

Overall we are very happy and Carepatron truly meets the needs of our business. I love that I have been able to customize it and that I can access it on the go but know the information is safe. I also love the customer service as they have been very responsive anytime I have had to ask a question.

Pros

I love the ease of setting it up and being able to customize it to exactly what we need. I think the value is good, even for a small company like ours. And I really appreciate the customer service.

Cons

There are some components we don't use and Id like to turn them off, which maybe I can, and just need to research it. The other big thing is that when I need to print off communications (such as for audit) I have to do each one by one. I have set it up so that we do a monthly entry and just add to it, but that is still 12+ different things to have to go in and print. It would be fantastic if we could just tell it to print all communications for a certain time period.

### "Continual Updates Make Me Happy"

Pros

I came to CarePatron, honestly, because it was cheaper than what I had before. I knew with “cheap” it could come with more challenging scenarios as a private practice owner and therapist, but I also liked the sound of saving money. At first, there were plenty of things that were different enough from my previous EHR that I began to get frustrated. I soon learned that it was a “me problem” not a them problem. I just was rigid to change and I continue to experience time and time again that carepatrons way is better. Since joining a year ago, I’ve continued to see new features published on the platform and improvements made incredibly quick.

Cons

The AI model that is used within the platform could use some work. I liked the sound of that feature, but when used in practice, it hallucinates quite a bit. There are plenty of other AI HIPAA compliant software out there for this not to be that big of a deal. With as fast as CarePatron moves in making changes to their platform, I’m sure I’ll look back at this critique and laugh.

### "Fantastic Program for the Price"

Over I really like Carepatron. It is the program that I found has the most comprehensive program for the price point, and perfect for someone starting out as a solo practice like I was. I appreciate that the support team is super quick with responses, and bugs are fixed pretty quickly as well. I'm looking forward to seeing how it grows over the next few years.

Pros

I love that it's affordable, easy to use, and the support team is super responsive. There hasn't been anything business stopping that has happened in the year I've used it.

Cons

I wish it had more customization in the workflows (reminder if client hasn't had a session in a certain amount of time) and it's missing some things I see as essential, like proper waiting rooms.

I like that there is a portal and an easy way to get out clients to sign onboarding paper work. The AI in the note taking is nice as well.

Cons

That it does not allow us to truly customize the space. It is very closed off so it does not integrate with other systems.

Pros

The value for the money is excellent. The system is also very easy to use and the AI customer support feature is very helpful. It is simple to manage patient's records, book clients, and manage appointments. I especially like that clients can book their own appointments. They updated the system almost daily, so there are minimal bugs and issues.

Cons

The only thing I would possibly change is the way you have to create your own forms. You cannot cut and paste certain things when building forms, so it take a lot of time to have to click, add, click, add, click, add, especially if it is something that repeats. I which I could click the entire section and paste it.

Overall, Carepatron has met our baseline needs. The price point was high for an NPO, but we would recommend it to others.

Pros

The value for money, unlimited clients without mark-up, and how the calendar is set up are all great pros of Carepatron.

Cons

Carepatron does not have a report system, no easy filtering, and split-payments are complicated. These can make administrative work very difficult for a center with multiple counselors.

Excellent, I remain a customer to this day and am completely satisfied. I saved a lot of money and did not lose any of the features I had at my old EHR.

Pros

CarePatron offers an introductory price so you can try out all of its offerings so you know whether you love it or not. I truely loved it and decided to use it as my EHR permanently. I use it to store my notes and basically take care of my appointment and intake needs at this time. In the future I will probably use billing features.

Cons

It was a little difficult to set up at first but the customer service I received was incomparable. I was assisted completely with everything I needed help with. To this day, when I have a question, it is so easy to get my answers.

overall its been really positive as i am only one clinician it does everything i need it to, and the AI features are really useful. As i grow we will see if the features can keep up

Really good value and they are constantly adding new features. It is really easy to use and set up and i can track payments directly in the site

Cons

Certain metrics aren't available yet, so it makes it hard to track the growth of my practice. I would like to see certain data such as average visits and be able to track where my leads are coming from all from the site

Overall, I am pleased with CarePatron and will continue to use them for the foreseeable future for my practice. Until such a time should I outgrow CarePatron, I will continue using it.

Pros

I enjoy the ease of the whole platform, from scheduling appointments and setting reminders. Overall it has been the best value to initially grow my private practice. The intake forms were very easy to tailor to my own needs and practice. Although I have not needed to contact customer support I can believe that support would come quickly if I had issues that needed a resolution beyond my own capabilities.

Cons

Sometimes I do find that the microphone and video are unstable and it seems to be within this platform as I do not have other issues on different ones. I do wish I could organize my documentation and intake forms differently instead of the current work flow. I am still exploring the affordability for having multiple clinicians within my practice.

Pros

Carepatron has been a cost-effective option, which is definitely its biggest advantage. The pricing is reasonable compared to other platforms, making it accessible for smaller or growing practices.

Cons

However, there are several issues that impact usability. I’ve experienced problems with data entered by clients not displaying correctly or consistently, which can be frustrating and time-consuming to troubleshoot. Additionally, the lack of a fixed telehealth link creates unnecessary inconvenience, as it would be much more efficient to have a consistent, reliable meeting setup. Another major concern is customer support. On multiple occasions, I’ve reported issues and have not received a response or follow-up, which makes it difficult to resolve problems in a timely manner.

### "Great for clinical management but needs fixing"

I love the clinical management features and the ease of use, you can tell it's been thought about by clinicians and it's great for therapists. However, the video platform issues and the invoicing through Stripe makes me consider whether to switch to another platform.

Pros

Great availability of customer support, the clinical management part of it is overall great, I like the tags and status for clients, the notes system, booking link and the 2 way sync with my calendar. It makes it easy to have all the things in one place.

Cons

The video-call platform needs serious fixes - 70% of the time I can't see clients waiting in the room, or they have troubles being let in the call, this is a waste of clinical time and it's frustrating for clients. I don't like that I'm being forced to work with Stripe for the invoicing, the costs are way too high, so I do my invoicing elsewhere. When I book repeated appointments clients receive confirmation only for the first one - again makes admin more complicated and the platform less reliable. Sometimes the advertisement of upgrade to a different plan blocks the "start the call button" - again costing clinical time and issues with communicating with clients!

pretty good for what it does. I am like 75% happy. It does most the stuff I need, but there are a few small things that would make it much better of an experience. Show us an audit of when you send reminders to our clients, allow them to control their reminders, and let them see their open invoices on a tab.

Pros

relatively light weight tool. I think once you are set up it is easy to use on an ongoing basis. The notes feature can be a little tricky sometime though.

Cons

I find the reminders system very confusing, and it is hard to know how much communication is going out to my clients and when. Also I think my clients need a tab where they can find all their invoices so they can pay late bills.

It started great. We were getting some fantastic support at first and now we feel generally forgotten about. We have issues that pop up and support is hard to get.

Pros

Nothing stands out to me above and beyond other EHR I have used. It functions. I can't say that I am terribly impressed with the features over other platforms. We came here because of issues with other platforms and I feel like we traded laterally.

Cons

Video connection is unreliable and many in our practice are using google meets instead. It is frustrating.

It has been reliable, fairly priced, and overall works to help organize my practice without being an overwhelming software system

The automated reminders to patients The messaging system for new patients to request an appointment

Cons

On the app version, I’m unable to see another provider’s schedule alongside my own. Also, when adding a new client, there is no space to add the date of birth. Once the client is already entered into the system, only then can you go into their personal data and put in a date of birth.

Carepatron has been easy to use and start up my chiropractic practice with. They have great customer service and very helpful with trouble shooting issues. The platform is versatile and customize able for EHR basic needs and uses for a small office.

Pros

Cost per month for what you get as well with each price point. I appreciate the appointment reminders and integration with google to keep my schedule precise. Sending and receiving forms is also easy to use with patient records.

Cons

Functionality can be slow and confusing to use at first. Sometimes the templates are very slow and will close randomly. Would be nice to have different template styles and formatting options.

It is very easy to use. I like the calendar feature and the appointment management because it is very simple and effective.

Cons

I had to update my credit card information, and when I did so, my monthly payment changed for the same type of account. They also do not make it clear that adding another team member is an additional cost.

Overall, I am pleased. I needed to find a platform to document client interactions in a secure, HIPAA compliant platform. I was surprised to see that the cost went up quite a bit to renew, however.

Pros

It is easy to document notes for clients in this platform. The cost is fine. I haven't used this for appointment management but may give it a try.

Cons

I'm not big on the AI pop-ups & would like an option to disable AI assist when I am documenting. It is rather annoying to be honest.

### "Great but not excellent"

Honestly, not as good as SimplePractice, but way cheaper. If CarePatron were to maintain their price, and copy a lot of the features that SimplePractice has, then it would probably one of (if the \*the\*) best psychotherapy EHR on the market.

Pros

The price and quickness of customer service. Good customizability and easy to use for managing appointments and patients.

Cons

Technological quality of life concerns. For example, it would be good to add the ability to right click and open the calendar or clients list in another tab, or to be able to have regular assessments automatically send to patients (and then have their results tabulated automatically and show changes in a line graph over time).
