### "Excited for all the new features in Carepatron"

I felt like the notes features, customizability and now having integrated insurance and Ai make CarePatron a top of the line platform. I appreciate that I will be able to afford it for my whole team.

Pros

I researched many different platforms and ultimately stayed with SimplePractice needing to wait for a few additional features to reach Carepatron. I will be officially switching over to CarePatron for my practice within the next few months. I appreciate the Low cost, the ai feature and the fact that I can add multiple places of service to one platform. Now that Carepatron has integrated insurance and everything I need I am looking forward to moving over!

Cons

Nothing at the moment. I was very impressed with the platform and am looking forward to making the transition to using it full-time.

Overall great, I would recommend it to others and will continue to use it because of the value it has and the affordability.

Pros

Easy to use, simple to get started, price is very affordable, offers AI transcription, customer support has been helpful and usually quick to respond. I was able to start up my private practice entirely with Carepatron.

Cons

Some bugs that I have found while in my workflow. Also a bit of a learning curve coming from other EMR’s and learning how to adjust to this.

### "Carepatron = Easy and straightforward"

I continue to use Carepatron for my online business. I like the ease of access from desktop and mobile app. The telehealth space was good to use as well. The only negatives would be the limited cloud storage and no automatic email reminders for appointments. his has meant I don't store my case notes on Carepatron and need to personally remind all of my patients with a link to their session.

Pros

The app and desktop site was easy to use and had a good flow between booking the appointments and billing at the end. The template settings and implementation was good as well. I used a mixture of provided templates and uploaded my own for consent and assessment forms.

Cons

I am currently on the free tier of the subscription so I have very limited cloud storage and no automatic email reminders.

Positive experience, I've recommended multiple times to others starting their therapy practice and looking for an affordable EHR with built in integrations.

Pros

Care Patron is very user friendly and has so many integrations. Easy transition to utilize while starting a business, and customer service is quick and helpful.

Cons

It's new so there are features that are continuing to come out and get used to. I wish my clients could look at their calendar while on a call without it hanging up. Also looking forward to more payment options outside of stripe.

### "It's not "free forever" as advertised but it's decent"

I don't think I would have chosen it if I knew it wasn't really free so I feel a bit duped, and the effort to transfer to another platform is prohibitive. That said, I'm generally decently happy with it.

Pros

It's a good value and generally runs pretty smoothly. I like that pretty much everything is integrated into one platform, including the ability to send documents/messages.

Cons

That it was advertised as always being free. Of course you quickly run out of space and have to pay. Also that there's no way to automate scoring of questionnaires, and some automated reminders cannot be modified as far as I can tell. Some things are a bit clunky like using note templates.

My experience has been excellent. The integration was simple and straightforward. And the AI support has been awesome.

Pros

The simplicity is the best. Easy to understand and get up and running in minutes, not days! After just a few days of working with it, had a great grasp of it.

Cons

Not as robust on patient communication abilities like mass emails, etc.. While I understand it isn't a CRM system, I do wish it let us communicate and track marketing metrics a little better.

### "Cheap, so dealing with it "

Poor. But it’s cheap so I deal with it. The customer experience is poor, and I’ve had several issues with the billing, as well as handling insurance factors. It’s not set up to take insurance, and support is constantly needing to be called. The problem is support is also terrible the best part of it is the AI chat.

Love cost. But even then, there are hidden cost that they should be more up front about in my opinion.

Cons

\- always needing to refresh -app had glitches -terrible for insurance users -can’t add practice manager or billet without same fee as provider -poor response times from customer service

Carepatron made it so easy for me to start my myofunctional and speech therapy private practice. It is intuitive and the customer support is always helpful. I loved that I could start with the free version, and then upgrade as my practice grew. It continues to serve me well, and I am grateful for such an awesome practice management software!

Pros

The price point works well for my business. I loved that I was able to start with the free version, and then upgrade each quarter as my business grew. I also love how easy it is to use - very intuitive!

Cons

I haven't really figured out the reporting features. I tried to export billing data at the end of the year and found it hard to interpret. Part of that is because of the way I bill.

### "Carepatron Horror Show"

It has not been my favorite platform and has taken patience to use the platform. It has caused some inconvenience for my clients. However, it seems to be better.

Pros

The platform offers me the opportunity to manage my own schedule, notes and billing all in one setting.

Cons

The meeting with clients via video is challenging. See below. 1. Currently, I have had clients audio not work and have to use our phones to talk. 2. When sharing my screen, I cannot always see the client or they cannot see me. 3. Recently, both the client and I have had trouble connecting with the platform. It periodically is a problem. 4. There is no waiting room for the client to wait before being admitted to the session.

Super user friendly to use, helps me organise my weekly appointments (both in person and online), great to have the Telehealth feature at no extra cost.

At times when they are updating the software there can be small glitches. However these are quickly resolved and customer support is efficient.

No document database for Admin/practitioners, but there are for their clients. Would like to upload protocols for medical conditions for review when assessing a client. The Calendar has a little blandness to it.

My overall experience has been good and affordable. Everything I need is here. I love the new update so far. Sending forms and documents once a new client is added has saved me so much time.

Pros

Its easy to use, the appointment and patient management works good. I love how my patients can log in and see results.

Cons

I will like to set up different auto emails for different services. Each patient doesn't get the same paperwork or forms. Also some kind of landing pages for services would be great.

I find it good for my small business as it meets a lot of basic needs and I can develop my own templates and forms.

Pros

I do like the flexible nature of the program and creating my forms and sending them through portal. I also like the personal page and inbox feature for tracking emails.

I would like to have a itemized billing option in the invoice section. I also would like better support and access to customer service

Just ok -I feel there are still glitches to work out. still not as smooth an experience for me as Simple Practice was.

Pros

Apparently there is no AI machine learning off our notes, generally easy to learn. The team seems genuinely interested in improving the system.

Cons

There are interface issues that are annoying. Too many pop up windows, don't want to have to deselect the emoji reactions. Wish there was the option to touch up appearance. Continues to ask for me to update the app even though I try to, it glitches when I try to resize the screen. Should be able to change appointment to repeat once set, things like that. Mostly interface is a bit clumsy.

Great ehr. The ability to customize almost every piece is fantastic. Customer service is great too!!

It does get glitchy from time to time but it usually resolved within a couple hours. The ai feature sometimes doesn’t work.

I work administration and I am not a counselor. I work 32 hours a week, scheduling and invoicing. The invoicing and accepting payments is not as clear as the app that we were previously using.

Pros

I like the way that the superbills are set up now. It is much easier to do them at this time. Thank you.

Cons

I do not like the invoicing or accepting of payments. There isn't a way to do partial payments. And when we do a credit adjustment, there is a section to state reason for adjustment. The reason is not recorded anywhere that I can find it, after entering the reason.

This is my first independent EHR and I enjoy the ease of use, value for the money and the fact that I can bill through stripe through the platform. They have recently launched insurance billing as well which is a huge plus!

Pros

This is a solid EHR with customizable templates and value for the money. The stripe integration in excellent and I have had several customized templates made that have worked well.

Cons

There were a few bugs as it was a new EHR but things have improved a lot. There are times that you need to reload the app due to updates but it’s not a major issue.

Carepatron is valuable and for the pricing it gets the job done. I’m happy with the features and functionality that it currently offers.

Pros

I enjoy the access to features and the way the layout is easy to maneuver and understand. There are easy ways and shortcuts to access quick and handy client information. The branding is also a nice touch along with the professional emails that are creating when communicating with clients.

Cons

The options for scheduling or building out programs, packages or payment plans are either not available or lots of extra steps to create. Being in the United States there seems to be issues connecting timely for customer service or onboarding calls. Clients have reported issues signing up for the portal or not receiving paperwork.

### "Great when it works"

I liked it a lot at first, but with the tech issues I've been having lately, I am considering leaving.

Pros

I like the highly customizable user interface. I like the sharing screen feature on virtual sessions. I like the automated reminders that are sent and how much control I have over workflows.

Cons

I have recently been having significant issues on the virtual platform. Very slow load times or terrible connection, on both myself and client's ends. This has led me on occasion to use another video platform, which completely defeats the purpose of paying for Carepatron. Just yesterday my mic kept disconnecting at the start of a session, for no reason. I use another platform for another practice I'm a part of, and on days where I have issues with Carepatron, I do not have any issues on the other platform, which demonstrates it is not a connectivity or device issue, it is a Carepatron issue. I have also had issues in the past where I am creating intake forms and the changes I make do not save, so I have what looks like a bunch of typos.

In general, I like Carepatron. Right now, it is serving my needs. I will be interested to see what changes they make as the platform grows.

Pros

I love all community templates and the ability to make your own. I also love that it has the capability to run groups and produce AI notes for groups where most only offer it for individual sessions.

Cons

I wish it had some things automatically built in as the customization can become overwhelming. I also do not like when you print off anything, it takes a lot of pages because the lines are so spread out.

I have enjoyed the price point of the product, the unlimited storage, and the customer service. Also love the "look"

Cons

Something that has been troublesome for me is the inability to add minors under a parent's name, and also that the parent's name is attached/fixed to the minor's name so we don't have to scroll through and add a parent's name for billing/invoicing.

I am actively looking for a platform to change. Carepatron is easy to use but lacks in a lot of things

Pros

the price, and that I get fast replies when I ask for help. Even though the help answers are quite generic, the response time is good.

Cons

cannot customize the messages to the clients: send invoices, reminders, etc. Cannot manually send a reminder of an appointment Sometimes appointments don't show up on clients calendars And the worst: cannot download multiple invoices at once

### "Time Saver"

It's made entering into private practice much easier than it could have been. The fact it feels all-in-one is a huge plus.

Pros

Carepatron makes everything easy as it feels like an all-in-one platform. I like the ability to use AI for telehealth transcriptions and drafting of clinical notes.

Cons

The appointment reminders do not seem to work by SMS though they do work via email. I've noticed that after updating the wording of the reminders, this hasn't actually changed the email that is sent out (yet). I would like to see more clarity from Carepatron, for examples articles and guidance for practitioners, about data storage, safety and compliance. I was able to find information that was satisfactory but it was not easy to locate.

Carepatron has been a helpful platform in my work, especially for managing notes, scheduling, and keeping everything organized in one place. It definitely improves efficiency and helps streamline day-to-day tasks. That said, the simplicity could use some work, as parts of the system can feel a bit clunky or less intuitive than expected. There are also occasional glitches. Overall, it’s a solid tool that supports organization and professionalism, with some room for improvement.

sometimes the quality of video is not good for virtual appointments. I have difficulty with session links working for clients.
