Not a fan of carepatron. It is WAY too buggy for me to rely on it, and me and my coworkers brought it up to management several times

Pros

I can view other people’s schedule and my coworkers schedule. It helps me to visualize and know more about what other people’s day looks like

Cons

So many bugs, i am not a fan of using carepatron which was a mandated switch from my company. Why on the user’s side do i always need to refresh my app when i log in for a “new updated calendar” . Thats the point of logging in, i am entering. Refresh it on your end not on my end making me go through extra clicks. Also my calendar/appointments dont display my properly on the mobile app, when the appointments are displayed on my computer.

Overwhelmingly positive. It has made things so much easier in my practice, which is important as a one-person show.

Pros

All functions required for a practice are in one place— scheduling, billing, client database, notes, and more. Developers are constantly working to improve the product and add new features

Cons

I wish that some of the features were a little easier to customize. For example, client forms should be easier to import and transform into a fillable form. Sometimes the interface isn't as intuitive as you might like it to be.

### "There's room for serious improvement."

5/10. I am really hoping things improve before I switch EHRs. I tried to set up a meeting with someone, but they had the worst times ever open. I am going to try again.

Pros

I appreciate Carepatron's affordability. Compared to the other EHR's out there, I appreciate that I did not feel taken advantage of financially.

Cons

Carepatron has been causing an increased amount of stress due to technical glitches and characteristics that it is lacking (reminders for notes). Additionally, it has been sending the wrong forms to clients and it's making me look sloppy.

Pretty happy user of Carepatron for my cash physical therapy & coaching practice. It's simple, easy to use and a good value.

Pros

The value for the money is second to none. Online scheduling works well and it's relatively easy to use. I enjoy the appointment reminders, the client relationship tags and the customizability of the templates. I use it for cash based physical therapy primarily. I have a lot of experience with Jane.app but that was when I was taking insurance. It was more expensive than what I needed in my cash based practice.

Cons

Getting a straight answer for my issues has been challenging. And the AI is improving, but I still don't trust it enough to actually write the notes without me having to re-write them.

great, i really have no complaints, they are really so good and very good with taking care of their customers

Pros

The help service is great, if you have any issues you have a great live agent who gets things done very quickly. The system is super easy to use and the voice AI transcribing is really handy for notes. The price is super good, much cheaper than other brands and yet better. Easy to manage appointments and it sends appointment reminders regularly so clients cant miss it. easy to store patient records and import them from another app.

Cons

the workflow isn't fully updated yet, so have to do things manually. otherwise there isn't really any issues

Overall, I’ve enjoyed using this system. Customer support is responsive and helpful, the platform is easy to navigate, assessments are built in, and it conveniently connects to your personal email.

Pros

Well, I like the most is all of the assessments needed are built directly into the system. So instead of me having to search for a PHQ9 or GAD7, I just have to go to the assessments tab and it’s already available. I do like how easy it is to navigate the site and how you can set alerts so that way to emails your personal email address so that way you’re never missing an appointment

Cons

The only kind I have with this website is there is not a way to filter through the clients. For example, if I have seen 120 clients and I need to only see the clients that I have send this month or with an open case there’s no way for me to filter this. So I have to go through every last client and jot down the ones that I need.

I don't think I would have chosen it if I knew it wasn't really free so I feel a bit duped, and the effort to transfer to another platform is prohibitive. That said, I'm generally decently happy with it.

Pros

It's a good value and generally runs pretty smoothly. I like that pretty much everything is integrated into one platform, including the ability to send documents/messages.

Cons

That it was advertised as always being free. Of course you quickly run out of space and have to pay. Also that there's no way to automate scoring of questionnaires, and some automated reminders cannot be modified as far as I can tell. Some things are a bit clunky like using note templates.

I have found this client management system to be a positive compliment to my clinical practice and clients seem to respond positively to the platform and ease of use.

Pros

It combines numerous clinical features in one place which is easy to navigate and manage. The booking system and reminders are automated and eliminate unnecessary admin work so I can focus more on the clinical work. I've also enjoyed trialing the AI features to see how these can supplement my clinical note taking.

Cons

There is less customization surrounding communication to clients than I would like. Also the transcribe feature, while great when it works, seems to cut off unpredictably which makes it a less reliable to use.

### "Carepatron Review - Custom Notes and Customer Experience"

We have been using Carepatron since December 2025 and have had a great experience. The custom notes feature works very well and is easy to tailor to our needs. The platform also offers a wide range of resources, assessments, and tools for providers to use. Customer support has been excellent, and it’s clear they truly value the customer experience.

Pros

Carepatron is very easy to use and to learn. We were able to customize it to our business needs. Contacting customer support has always been easy and quick response.

Cons

We are primarily looking for a simple platform to create and store custom notes. At this time, we do not need features like billing or appointment reminders, so the cost feels high relative to our needs. One major concern is that user permission settings are only available at the top-tier pricing level. Due to confidentiality requirements, we believe permission controls should be included at all subscription levels.

Overall experience is okay. It's not something I am recommending to other clinicians specifically due to the bug issues and the clients challenges with navigating the intake forms. The signatures do not register every time.

Pros

The calendar system is easily usable. This has been easy for my clients and myself to navigate. Although, this isn't the issue.

Cons

The most important part is the issues with the signatures on the intake forms. They do not work consistently. We have had 3 separate meetings with care patron and a solution has not been fixed.

CarePatron is easy to use. It is inexpensive. I see the potential for use for big and small businesses alike.

Pros

What I liked the most about care patron is their great customer support. Any time I need anything, I get answers quickly. There is also a place to make recommendations.

Cons

They originally did not have the scheduling features I wanted but it has since improved. I would like an easier way to see total revenue for end of year taxes.

Carepatron makes it easy to manage many of my needs as a practitioner. I can easliy schedule clients. I have the ability to create and change my services. I especially appreciate the responsive customer support.

Pros

I like the fact that I can manage everything that makes my practice run smoothly in one place. I can schedule the appointment, send the intake forms, send appointment reminders, do the consultation and write my notes - all on one platform.

Cons

Video quality is poor, I have to use zoom instead. It is great that carepatron gives us the option to link with zoom.

Overall, I am pleased. I needed to find a platform to document client interactions in a secure, HIPAA compliant platform. I was surprised to see that the cost went up quite a bit to renew, however.

Pros

It is easy to document notes for clients in this platform. The cost is fine. I haven't used this for appointment management but may give it a try.

Cons

I'm not big on the AI pop-ups & would like an option to disable AI assist when I am documenting. It is rather annoying to be honest.

Overall it has been a good experience giving me the tools i need and more. I was frustrated by the time it took to resolve an issue but it was a positive resolution.

Pros

It is relatively easy to use. The features were useful and even the free version gave me everything i needed to get started.

Cons

I dont like that all my emails appear there rather than just e ails from clients forcing me to either have no link to email or a paid version due to volume of spam email i receive. Also it took a long time to get an issue resolved.

### "Solid Option as a Program"

Overall pleasantly impressed with this program. I particularly really like the 'clean look' of the layout.

Pros

I have used many different electronic charting platforms over my career and I like the unique but easy to navigate interface of CarePatron. I also appreciate the ease of movement between billing, scheduling, and documentation.

Cons

For some reason, the method of sending out fillable intake forms for patients to complete doesn't seem to work smoothly. I can send the forms but there always seem to be some errors or miscommunication in how the patient can respond/input their data. I usually end up emailing a PDF and they just email it back to me for upload to the program.

Good management features and customer service are great. I have enjoyed using it so far and clients ae not reporting any difficulties.

Pros

Ability to make forms the way I want to, and they deal with your problems promptly. I like th e AI feature for reading forms and letters

Cons

No document database for Admin/practitioners, but there are for their clients. Would like to upload protocols for medical conditions for review when assessing a client. The Calendar has a little blandness to it.

My overall experience has been good and affordable. Everything I need is here. I love the new update so far. Sending forms and documents once a new client is added has saved me so much time.

Pros

Its easy to use, the appointment and patient management works good. I love how my patients can log in and see results.

Cons

I will like to set up different auto emails for different services. Each patient doesn't get the same paperwork or forms. Also some kind of landing pages for services would be great.

I would say my overall experience has been very positive. I enjoy using the service and don't have any plans to change to another system.

Pros

I really appreciate the values for money. I find so many other EHR systems are so expensive especially for a starting solo practice like mine. The system is very easy to use and allows me to customize my practice to my liking and how I want to run my business.

Cons

I have not had many challenges with Carepatron since I started using them. I will say some things are maybe not as intuitive as I would like so there is a bit of having to look around for things, but once I find it, it is easy to use.

I really enjoy Carepatron and I am glad that I went with them instead of some of the other big names.

Pros

I really enjoy the variety of subscription tiers based on your individual or company's needs. I enjoy the wide variety of client record templates and note templates that you can use and customize to your needs. It's very user friendly and self explanatory, and customer support is pretty much always available if you need them. I love the calendar feature and how you can write your note directly from the appointment time slot. Billing (self-pay billing) is extremely easy as well. I won't choose another platform.

Cons

I don't love the glitches in the teleheath platform or that you have to pay for it to send automatic reminders to clients.

I'm overall happy with carepatron. It has about 3 different softwares i used to use all in one. I still am not using it's full potential either!

Pros

Carepatron has been extremely user friendly. It is also one of the most affordable client software out there.

Cons

Booking has been an issue because it's guided more towards those who accept insurance. But I'm not sure if that's because i haven't figured it out yet.

Simple set up, great support team that follows through when they say they will, and flexible enough to find work arounds when the system doesn’t quite do what you would like it to do.

Pros

The cost effectiveness of the system, use of AI to assist with documentation, and great customer support are definitely strong positives for this system.

Cons

It is clearly geared towards US companies and is a bit limited for Canadian companies, especially in the billing area. Unable to direct bill but can track payments from insurance companies and funding organizations.

Everything is easier and faster, I am.able to easily take notes, send my intake forms, my clients get reminders, i can make templates for treatment plans. Im very happy with CarePatron

Pros

I love the intuitive nature, how easy it is to use everything. It really helps me to work faster, I love the templates and the transcription too.

Cons

I can't think of anything. But perhaps its just sometimes I have a glitch with the transcribing of notes. I would also love a task area that was connected with each client but showed up under the main area with all of the different tasks there.

Ilike the ability to do everything from one app, from scheduling to messaging to billing, it has it all!
