Pros

Cost beats other platforms by a lot, customer support is friendly, gets the job done in storing patient records which is my primary need for an EHR.

Cons

Not the most intuitive to use -- weird issues with sending paperwork at times and clients not able to fill it out. Also wish they would release an option to put in couple therapy clients more officially so we don't need to create two individual files and a couples file and link them all together.

Honestly, I've tried a few products and I'm really happy with Carepatron. I find it easy to use. My clients find it easy. I would recommend it to other health professionals.

Pros

Value for money is a big one for me. I also am glad it holds appointments and reminders. AI note taking for patient records is saving time is amazing and that's it's included! Love how it connects to my Gmail to keep my other job, personal life and business from overlapping.

Cons

Some of the forms look cheap. Especially when the client is filling out a form that is public. I wonder if we could make it look a bit more high quality - so represent my services 😄 I would also be great if it could have integrations with health apps.. some how!

Easy to use, it's always improving and I appreciate the excellent customer service and support. It has made it easy to grow the clinic and add team members.

Pros

Easy to use and great value for money. I also appreciate the excellent customer service when there have been issues.

Cons

What I really need is to be able to set services to specific clinicians so they are not seeing all the services that a clinic offer (only the ones they offer) so it's not confusing for them when booking and invoicing

I am very happy with my experience with Carepatron. The customer service is amazing and even the AI bot can answer most of my general questions in a very detailed, easy to follow way. The appointment reminders that are send out to my patients automatically have streamlined my business needs immensely. Patient records are easy to manage and go through. It is an amazing value for the money. Very impressed.

Pros

Carepatron is streamlined in such a way that makes it a breeze for a holistic care practitioner like myself. Am really thankful to have found a service like Carepatron. Prior, I tried other services like SimplePractice and Theraplatform and always found something missing. So grateful to have found Carepatron

It would be helpful to have services and products separate for more streamlined invoicing that is more specific

The price and ease of use, super easy oh an importing my template and automate formatting that’s chefs kiss!

Cons

I couldn’t bill insurance but now I can so that’s fixed! I had a poor customer experience once but wasn’t a big deal.

Pros

I love that you can tailor it to what demographics you need. The AI transcriber is really helpful. It also has its own virtual platform that is seamless for online clinic.

In my case, i wish it can incorporate pay wallets using QR codes, because this is more applicable in my location

Pros

There are a Lack of Reports to run, initial onboarding training , some glitches with group video calls.

I enjoy using Carepatron, I find it easy to navigate and understand. It is very user friendly. Allows you to link email accounts and conduct calling right through the interface.

Pros

Carepatron is easy to use and navigate through when setting up appointments and meeting with clients. If there are ever any bugs or issues they are resolved quickly and the support team is amazing at helping address and concerns.

Cons

Sometimes there are some challenges from clients in terms of filling out forms and templates. But no major concerns.

My overall experience has been good. I like that the platform continues to add new features. I plan to continue using this platform for and I'm excited to see what is in store for the future.

Pros

It is a great value. I get the the use of a HIPAA compliant EHR that doesn't break the bank. That is very important when starting your own practice. The fact that you get a scribe is a huge plus. I also love the other options such as templates and messaging which makes it easy to send information back and forth tomy clients.

Cons

It is not as user friendly as I would like. I'm sure there are other functions that I am not using because I haven't been able to get figure it out. It would be great to get a notification when a client sends a message in the portal.

great, i really have no complaints, they are really so good and very good with taking care of their customers

Pros

The help service is great, if you have any issues you have a great live agent who gets things done very quickly. The system is super easy to use and the voice AI transcribing is really handy for notes. The price is super good, much cheaper than other brands and yet better. Easy to manage appointments and it sends appointment reminders regularly so clients cant miss it. easy to store patient records and import them from another app.

Cons

the workflow isn't fully updated yet, so have to do things manually. otherwise there isn't really any issues

I've used many EHRs through the last couple of years and I must say this one is my favorite. The low cost and customizability make this EXACTLY what I'm looking for.

Pros

The templates offered by the community are incredibly valuable! Having a quick and easy way to access these materials for clients has made my job much easier. Plus the incredible talent of the community shines through with the ability to share content.

Cons

I'm not a huge fan of the current state of AI usage in the platform. For notes rewrite is serves ok in help but the note transcribe and automatic notes rarely work correctly. But i do understand that this is an emerging technology that will only get better. I like the idea but the implementation still lacks a bit.

### "Great for schools! "

Very good! Easy to learn and implement and teach my team. I like that we can easily add or subtract team members as we have interns who fluctuate during the year, but the goal was that we can see records of all clients and Carepatron does that!

Pros

Carepatron is exactly what we were looking for as school counselors looking to take our records digitally. It is so easy to use and learn and is simple to add interns over time. It lets us create our own custom session notes and also has great templates. We only use a fraction of what Carepatron offers as we are a school, but the value we get from what we pay is so worth it.

Cons

Nothing this is what I've been searching for using in my school. Maybe it would be nice to be able to download all client notes/documents into one file instead of individually downloading if someone requests full records.

I am very happy use Carepatron and recommend it to other providers frequently. For my small practice, it is just what I need.

Pros

The platform is easy to use for me and for my clients and the price for what it offers seems unbeatable. The chat support feature usually answers my question. Scheduling appointments is easy and I like that it gives my clients text and email reminders. I also really appreciate how it streamlines intakes, session notes, and billing. The AI features and video call feature are also very useful.

Cons

Carepatron is missing some features that would make it a perfect all-in-one resource, including expense tracking and creating end of year reports on total income and broken down by clients.

4 stars, I like the system overall. I think you guys are doing great and continue to be innovative and grow the EHR system which I like.

Pros

The AI documentation I like the user friendly look The system design is great I like the calendar and how it is user friendly

Cons

The video clichés when I'm on calls and if I go off the screen on the phone it stops the AI documentation Unable to set up auto text and emails to patients Unable to auto bill When on a support call, the person was unfamiliar with how to set up the e-prescribe system or if it was capable to prescribe compounding medication.

We have been using Carepatron since December 2025 and have had a great experience. The custom notes feature works very well and is easy to tailor to our needs. The platform also offers a wide range of resources, assessments, and tools for providers to use. Customer support has been excellent, and it’s clear they truly value the customer experience.

Pros

Carepatron is very easy to use and to learn. We were able to customize it to our business needs. Contacting customer support has always been easy and quick response.

Cons

We are primarily looking for a simple platform to create and store custom notes. At this time, we do not need features like billing or appointment reminders, so the cost feels high relative to our needs. One major concern is that user permission settings are only available at the top-tier pricing level. Due to confidentiality requirements, we believe permission controls should be included at all subscription levels.

### "Affordable option for a small business."

I've had a largely positive experience overall. My business is part-time with only a handful of clients. Therefore I needed a less expensive EMR option. Carepatron has provided a reasonably priced product that does all I need it to do. If I grow in size I have the option to upgrade for more extensive services. Representatives have also been very responsive to my concerns.

Pros

An affordable option for a small therapy business. Customer care has been great. Calendar is easy to use.

Cons

More expensive companies do have a larger inventory of interactive templates for notes and evaluations. I'm unable to see other therapists' schedules on my phone, so I have to go to my computer for that information.

Customer service has been great. Overall, it's the best EHR I've used. As they add more features, I know that it will be ideal for my practice.

Pros

The value is fantastic and they make billing easy. Patient records and documents are automated and easy to read/review with all documents in one place which was a big deal for me in choosing an EHR.

Cons

I really wish that they had automatic billing, like a setting where it would automatically charge 24 hours before the appointment, for instance. It would also be helpful to easily see somewhere what sessions have not been paid for, even if they haven't been invoiced. I'm concerned that I'll forget to create an invoice and never noticed because it won't be on the "unpaid" list.

I enjoy it but do wish some improvements could be made. I'd like for clients to also get reminders that have their video link in a text, not just email.

I like that Carepatron is easy to use and fairly intuitive. I also like that others can upload templates for people to use. There is also support offered and quick responses.

Cons

Some templates can look unprofessional when given to clients. Additionally, clients have trouble accessing them and filling forms out.

Overall I love it! I have recommended it to other music therapy business owners due to ease of use and accessibility.

Pros

I like that the app allowed me to upload my pdf documents and make form templates out of them. I also appreciated the template search function by category. I like how easily I can update the calendar, and being able to communicate securely with my clients. It all gives me peace of mind about staying compliant and protecting client data.

Cons

Since I don use the billing and insurance side of it, the price is high for me ($29) a month. I mostly use it for documentation and record keeping.

While there are some features I would like I do believe that Carepatron is listening to the feedback and constantly making improvements to add the features providers actually want. I am overall very happy with my experience with Carepatron and don't plan on switching anytime soon.

Pros

I like that it integrates my emails and calendar making everything HIPPA compliant and all in one place. Customer support has been helpful and they are always quick to respond. I also think it is great value for the price.

Cons

I wish there was a feature to automate billing for clients as well as a way to keep track of unfinished notes or of invoices that haven't been paid more centrally located.

My overall experience has been really good. A few hiccups with consistency in data collection but customer support is always helpful

Pros

Client documentation and tagging, I like the customization of the forms and automated portions. Reminders and what not. I also like the workflow and am excited to get the ability to create my own workflows and looking forward to the two way texting.

Cons

Payment system. I’d prefer not having to invoice. I have a massage business and being able to charge people and have memberships and a way to track member credits.

I have found it super easy and user friendly to navigate and love that I could create all my own forms using existing templates. The scheduling is easy and although I tend to use Ivy Pay for billing, it seems like it would be very streamlined and helpful should I opt not to.

Pros

Carepatron has been great for me! I used Simple Practice with my group practice, but it was way too expensive to use as a solo practitioner just starting out. Carepatron is extremely affordable first and foremost and offers all the key features one might need. I love that it has an easy set-up with a huge variety of form templates to use. It offers HIPPA compliant messaging and telehealth, an easy to use scheduling system, easy billing features and AI note taking support.

Cons

I would love to have an automatic client appointment reminder feature available at all levels of membership.

### "Exceptional Service, a couple of tech glitches"

The support team are second to none! If you message the help desk, they are on it!!! Really appreciate that! Any question, and problem - they answer almost immediately! It's really really great!

Pros

Definitely value for money. About 1/3 price of Timely (which is the main reason I switched!). Also, suits my one-employee business well - I didn't need all of the added extras with Timely that I wasn't using. Great for a sole trader.

Cons

I have been having a few glitches with customers not receiving their reminder texts. The support team is fantastic, and they are running all of the diagnostics, but it is still frustrating.

The overall experience has been positive as I'm just starting out on my own in private practice and am having to figure out things on my own

Pros

I love the price for the subscription and how the support team responds to my questions in a timely manner

Cons

I'm not sure how to send appointment reminders to my clients a day or two in advance and would like to know how to do that
