My experience has been great. It’s very affordable, and the customer service is amazing. They respond fast and are very supportive and helpful.

Pros

What I like most about Carepatron is that it is very simply and easy to use. It has so many useful features and templates. And it’s very affordable which I greatly appreciate.

Cons

What I liked least about Carepatron is that it felt slow or lagged but over time this has improved a lot.

Love the platform and ability to manage my clients and workflows with ease ensuring things don’t get missed, I get paid on time, my clients show up and I have all my notes in one place - all in a few minutes!

Pros

Ability to have all my client details, notes, appointments and billing in one place. Great to be able to send agreements and intake forms as well as tools to my clients easily. Customer service is mostly responsive. Interface is also very intuitive and user friendly.

Cons

The AI scribe while initially promising is not very good. There is a lack of customisation with some of the workflow and there were some glitches depending on the browser as well.

Cons

Transferring my documents/templates was not as quick and easy as I had hoped but with a bit of patience it is pretty achievable.

It has made documentation kept in one place with the appointment. I would definitely recommend to others.

Pros

It is easy to use. I really enjoy having a calender that shows the clients with the ability to click on them to provide notes.

Cons

The ease of using forms and notes not auto filling the client information if I wanted to print for a physical chart.

Pros

It's straight-forward and easy to use. I like the AI chat function that will forward to a person if needed.

Cons

Some of the functions I would like to add require me to upgrade my plan which can be cost prohibitive when starting your business for the first time.

I also appreciate how organized everything feels; once you learn the layout, it’s easy to move quickly between tasks

Carepatron has been a solid all‑in‑one platform for my clinical workflow. For the price, you get a surprising amount of functionality — documentation, scheduling, client management, and AI Scribe all in one place. It’s definitely good value for money, especially for small practices or solo clinicians who need a streamlined system without paying enterprise‑level prices.

It’s been great! Staff is responsive, helpful, and focused on what’s important to me and my private practice. They take time to listen and make the adjustments! Thank you!

I like that I can see my staff’s schedule, rank in templates, and connect with our clients right from the calendar!

Cons

I need the following: -create an intake form packet that get automatically sent to clients when we schedule an intake (phq9,GAD) and these forms should be able to be completed and when the client hit submit, they should be loaded to their chart for us to review… -I have interns coming and going, I need a way to have a designated account that multiple interns might be able to use; in the past I’ve made my interns an account and then when their year or semester is over with me, terminated the account; this is a lot of work; i prefer to have one that will allow different interns to use ongoingwingly some how -I would like y’all to have a connection with insurances to I can bill and send to them directly through my account

Pros

I liked that they have a free option for those who are growing their private practice or may do it on the side. The free option does include a lot of features that are super convenient (templates, online intake, Telehealth).

Cons

I can't figure out how I reached my storage limit when I only had 2 active clients in the system, both who I saw for less than 8 months total.

Its been a solid platform for the business I work for, so much so that I'm going to use it for my personal counseling business.

Pros

Value for money and customer support has been exceptional. AI Scribe is fantastic and has greatly improved my efficiency as a clinician.

Cons

Bugs. Issues with videos being frozen and needing to end the call and clear my cache, sometimes multiple times in a day.

It's limited but worth the price. Due to only using it for one client, for whom I don't bill, I have limited experience with all the functions of Carepatron.

Pros

I like the price; it is suitable for someone who is just starting in private practice. Clients have stated they like the appointment reminders.

Cons

When creating your own document, there could be more flexibility. I wish there were support for creating documents to make sure the document follows what insurance companies are looking for.

At this time, I only have one pro bono, so there is no point in having a costly EHR. If I were focusing on billing, I probably would go with Jane App. $50 a month for them to do your billing.

It has overall been positive. I'm enjoying learning the system. Learning the templates has taken a little bit and of trial and error.

Pros

I like the easy pricing and easy integration into my practice. It connects to Zoom and Google Calendar which is important to me. The onboarding reps were helpful.

Cons

I would love it if you integrated Wiley Treatment Plans. I struggle at times with the system not saving my note text. I would like more color-coding in the patient charts. I would like to be able to search for clients by preferred names. I wish you integrated better with Medicaid plans for checking benefits and billing.

Well! The system is intuitive and easy to understant. The automations are a good start, but can be improved.

Pros

Notes filled with IA from the transcriptions. The link with Google agenda's. The possibility to send forms to the customers. The meeting notifications.

Cons

We don't have a global view of what's coming (meetings, notes) from all the ressources. We can't associate a particular note with a particular service. The nicrophone configuration can't be accessed when already configured.

Everything is pretty easy to use. I am a bare minimum EMR user- I don’t need much. This definitely serves the purpose and allows me to bill my clients in a professional manner.

Cons

Some things are a little finicky. Like billing for more than one invoice. I sometimes find myself deleting and recreating invoices to get it all on but it ends up working out.

Overall, I have loved the service especially with it being free, it offers multiple functions and the team are amazing to work with. I would love to have this be my only platform for documentation if I could!

Pros

I love the free option for this the most. Feature wise, I most appreciate the templating options for documentation. Service wise, I most appreciate the team and their responsiveness as well as, openness to feedback!

Cons

The UI feels visually unappealing as well as, leaves something to be desired in the ways to access notes feels difficult.

### "4/5 for Carepatron! "

Overall, I would recommend Carepatron. It does what's needed for me as an Out of Network mental health therapist.

Pros

I like the price for what you get. The automated appointment reminders are amazing for clients. The platform is relatively easy to use. I like the option for clients to schedule their own sessions although, I prefer doing it manually. Generating invoices and payments is also very easy and appreciate the option to automate those things as well.

Cons

Templates on the platform are okay. I wish they were easier to edit. I don't love the use of AI because of it's environmental impact. Clients sometimes have a hard time joining, especially on mobile devices, saying they cant see themselves. Some clients have audio issues.

Like I said so far I don't have a problem I think it's is a good service for you to be able to just you know have a record depending on what you're doing and it's great to see if you're starting your own little sidekick so and that's what I was doing and I like them they're useful especially the high blood pressure what I really really like that because it's so easy they get to see it for themselves what you're doing so I mean I think it's a good app I know I haven't had any complaints and the doctors or nurses haven't said anything to me so I think it's a good service

Pros

I like the templates I like the fact that for someone who maybe isn't as skilled in something and you're probably doing it as a side gig but you still have to keep a record of certain things the templates are fairly easy you can find practically pretty much something you're looking for and if not you know you can always mess around with it a little bit to change it to suit your needs and it's not much time at all to do that if you have Google docs I like it it helps me keep track of my clients blood sugar add that when I really like it's simple and straight to the point and if you don't even have any knowledge of it or like you're not a CNA or something like that it's pretty much self-explanatory so it's fairly easy

Cons

So far I really don't find anything that's wrong I mean I haven't used a lot of them the ones that I have used they're fairly easy so I mean I can't find anything wrong the site itself

### "Lack of transparency and lots of bugs"

It sucks. The tool has a good proposal, but it's very buggy and the support is very slow to resolve the issues raised. The tool does not accept foreign credit cards and they ask you to go talk to Stripe. I have an issue with my email that persists for over two months, and now that they changed their subscription model without notice, they offered me a free upgrade for one year so when renewal comes, I'll be forced to downgrade to one of their new plans, which are far more expensive than the one I currently have. They are not transparent and, so far, I'll stop recommending them to my colleagues.

Pros

It's an ok tool: It contemplates a secure meeting room, scheduling page per employee, etc.

Cons

The lack of transparency: the free version grants you 1 GB of space, but that gets filled within 3 or 4 months of usage with 4 or 5 months. There's nowhere for you to check where that space is used. That will be consumed even if you don't attach any files to the patients' records. I went to an unlimited plan, but now they changed their subscription model and apparently my plan is no longer unlimited, so once I achieve 5 GB of data (according to them), I'll need to look for another partner. Besides, Carepatron doesn't offer integration with CalDAV calendars or the creation of new meetings. Every patient will always see the same link, risking patients entering into other people's sessions.

Generally good experience. Happy that it’s being continuously improved, with the improvement being nicely brought to the notice of users. Definitely there are areas for improvements, but very positive that most will be addressed based on the apparent drive to improve the system.

Pros

Good and simple to use system. Fulfills my needs now as a new counseling practice. The help & tutorial features are fantastic - short & very much straight to the point! Happy to hear about the new AI feature on the video app. Yet to try it though.

Cons

The video was problematic for quite a while (using Apple appliances), until I recently discovered that it works primarily using google Chrome. Sometimes editing and using templates can be a bit problematic. Unable to tie my icloud calendar to the system (all my appliances are Apple products). Unable to create email folders within Carepatron.

So far it's been okay and getting me by. I am glad I can have a minimum amount of clients without having to pay, but I would not want to pay to use this platform unless the ability to documentation was improved so that my clients can see them in their account.

Pros

I like the ease of scheduling and billing for me and clients. The pre-made templates can be helpful too.

Cons

I really do not enjoy that my clients cannot see their documents. Multiple clients do not get notified even when I share a document with them. I need to be able to upload their protocols onto the software so it is secure, but they never receive them so that is very frustrating. It doesn't seem like they have very much access on their end.

Overall I’ve been happy with the customer service and value for the services I am receiving. As a small practice owner with one employee, I can customize my service for what I need without overpaying for features I don’t need.

Pros

The ease of scheduling and adding clients. Adding templates for intake forms and client forms is very streamlined!

Cons

I’ve had some glitches with the video service and would love to have autopay so I don’t have to individually charge clients.

Very good piece of software. As an OT, Carepatron has nearly everything that I need from a CRM.

Pros

The functionality is great. The ability to add and remove staff and allocate cases to individual members of the team. To be able to add mileage and travel time in units.

Cons

Sometimes communication is slow when you want to speak to a human. Sometimes if I am billing a council, i want the invoice reminders to go to them, but they go to the primary email address instead. I cant change the primary email address, which is the clients because I want the intake forms and appointment reminders to go to the client, just not the invoice.

Pros

Customer support is amazing. It is very intuitive and easy to use. The price is the best that I have found.

Cons

Issues with the calendar at first, but that's better now. I'm visually impaired sometimes if I'm zoomed in too much the calendar gets a little messy, but I'm able to fix it.

Overall I am happy with the product and appreciate the ease of use. There are a few minor things I would change, but they do not affect the overall ease of use and satisfaction.

Pros

The page is helpful, easy to use, and has most of the things I need to have for a small private practice.

Cons

The only issues I have are the occasional non usability of transcription, and the inability to have an uploaded and saved signature for documents. Signing each individually with a mouse makes for inconsistent signatures.

I like the ease of use, but I wish it were less glitchy on the video sessions. Some of this could be attributed to a client’s internet connection.

Pros

Carepatron has a neatly laid out format, straightforward to use, easy AI scribe software connected for case notes. Additionally the client appointment reminders have been helpful.

Cons

The video conferencing software has been very glitchy, a nightmare. I’ve had sessions lost and badly interrupted by technical issues.
