It’s incredibly easy to set up and provides deep insights. If they add a layer for project and initiative management, it would be the ultimate "all-in-one" command center for manufacturing excellence. Pros Rapid Deployment: The "Plug-and-Play" nature of OFS is impressive. We were able to get the system up and running much faster than expected, avoiding the typical long-winded installation headaches associated with manufacturing software. Customizable Downtime Intelligence: One of its strongest features is the ability to easily customize the logic behind unproductive time. It allows us to tailor the categorization of downtime to our specific operational needs without needing a developer. AI-Powered Analysis: The integrated Artificial Intelligence is a game-changer. It doesn’t just show us what happened; it helps us analyze complex problem sets and identify root causes that would otherwise remain hidden in raw data. Streamlined Reporting: The reporting tools are intuitive and do the "heavy lifting." It transforms vast amounts of shop-floor data into clear, actionable insights, making our continuous improvement meetings much more productive. Cons Missing Strategic Management Modules: While the data analysis is top-tier, I would like to see built-in modules for managing the "action" side of the equation. Currently, it lacks integrated tools for tracking specific OEE targets, action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives. Its supports data-driven decision-,making and alings well with continuos impovement methodologies such Lean Manufacturing. Cons One of the main challenges is related to sensor accuracy. They're always willing to listen intently to our needs and try to provide solutions. Pros I appreciate the very quick response to requests for help. \[sensitive content hidden\] in particular is always very responsive and knowledgeable in his replies. On the rare occasion that he can't help me through something he's quick to pull in other resources. I also value the ease of data export. It's great that within analytics I can customize and filter reports tailored to my needs, and quickly export the information to Excel. Cons It wasn't simple for us to get hour by hour granularity for individual machines. The data is all there in analytics, but we had to get more licenses to be able to see it outside of an analytic report (i.e., live dashboard, live overview, or shift progress). Pros Having plant operators account for the total minutes of every shift, has yielded significant productivity gains for our business.The reporting suite in OFS Analytics gives full visibility on plant performance and allows us to be targeted when addressing issues and planning maintenance. OFS Flows is facilitating the transition from using paper based forms to using digital data. The online training videos are very helpful. The employee at first thought it was Big brother watching them - They soon learnt it was the ears and eyes of the business to help them to drive change through real time monitoring and open reviews. That made there time more valuable by eliminating bottlenecks that go unseen while empowering the team to drive change. It has allowed us to remove a considerable amount of paper-based forms for operational performance and breakdown related data that has historically being recorded via pen and paper.The OFS unit was easy to install, setup on the exit of our can filler. We have also installed a second sensor on our palletiser infeed. This allows us to compare filled cans/packed cans, providing the ability to capture any losses across the production line and pin-point their cause. Pros It is very visual on the shop floor, utilizing a speedometer visual aid to clearly show real-time production line performance. It's ability to record the performance across multiple points on the production line allows you to capture line losses/individual machine efficiencies that aren't related to a stoppage/downtime event that is recorded.It allows a shift breakdown of performance, allowing the team to visually see if there are opportunities for improvement across shifts. Cons Have found that OFS API integration with another reporting facility, example: Microsoft Power BI provides the best use of the raw data that OFS collects and allows for the data to be presented to employees more clearly. Pros OFS is part of our daily routine and allows the business to obtain visibility across the performance of our line and our products. We also use OFS for traceability where we can easily trace back to an event and see what exactly happened. Lastly, the digitised form module allows us to easily record data and view the reports all within the same platform. The product makes our manufacturing process totally transparent and everyone can see what’s happening and allows us to benchmark across sites. Not sure how we ran our sites before OFS! Pros I love that OFS is live, easy to read and shows exactly how our plants are performing. I can complete a deep dive analysis and read comments directly from our operators and maintenance technicians and understand what is happening even when I’m interstate. Cons I am a big fan of OFS so it’s difficult to say what I least like. There are some features like giveaway recording I would like to see and the OFS team are continually working to improve . Operational Excellence Business Partner Food Production Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Great system with multiple benefits" September 15, 2023 5.0 Since we implemented OFS to capture our baking performance, we have made significant changes to our process.We were capturing plant performances manually using spreadsheets before the OFS introduction.With OFS we can see live performances on the line and interact in real time rather than depending on Operators to enter data manually at a later stage.All the charts, reasons, history, trending and tag clouds are there with a click of a button.OFS after sales and ongoing support is the best I come across as they are always willing to help and guide us.I would highly recommend OFS to any manufacturing lines. Pros Ease of use in web, tablet or mobile. Trending data and history. Paint a clear picture about target arears. Compare multiple KPIs at the same time. Dashboards are very user-friendly. Cons Taking pictures using tablet or mobile devices and saving them online. Review Source sR shane R. operations manager Chemicals Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Successful OFS " November 1, 2023 5.0 We were able to reduce downtime by a large percentage across site , an example is we had one line that represented 40% of the total sites downtime .. we had lots of opinions around the issues , data was collected and actions taken , the line now has around 7% of down time and we have stopped running overtime on this line along with not missing our valued customers orders Pros OFS was very easy to implement across our production environment , we are very multi cultured site so this was a concern , our operators picked it up very easily and when they started to see some of the improvements coming from their inputs they were even more enthusiastic about the system , Cons We didn't really have any issues . i would say understanding exactly where sensors need to be placed to get the best data was a learning for us Review Source TM Tyson M. We had our system operational within just a few days with very little troubleshooting required to make it suite our requirements. The after sales support is outstanding within the industry. Pros Ease of use and fast deployment. Being able to access the status of any of our lines from anywhere has proven invaluable. Cons Only item that is missing is Intergration with our EPR system. Pros I have installed multiple instances of this software across several sites, mostly remotely due to COVID. The software is easy to install and understand, where we could deploy this without actually being physically present. The available data then enable daily discussions where improvement could be made. Great software, locally developed! Cons The ease of implementation also has a drawback where there's limited customisation. Once the team understands how to pivot data from downloads, then this is not an issue. However; there is definitely a learning curve. Reason for choosing OFS OFS is by far the most cost effective, and the only one considered that actually involved operations in day-to-day scenario. The automated timestamping between machine states is what we need, and manual allocation to downtime involves and drives ownership from operations. Review Source FD Federico D. Software is designed for active interaction between operators and supervision Remotely access to live status of the manufacturing lines Cons There is still some opportunities to automate the data input but that ready does not impact the quality of the information Reason for choosing OFS We selected OFS based on the quality of the functionality for the software and the value for money. We had experience in other Givaudan sites and the results were really good The information extracted from the system help us to preform effective action plan for identified opportunities and successfully improve our equipment utilization.
