Pros I like how intuitive the software is and all of the training provided. It is easy to onboard new users. I love how One Step has reduced our paperwork and keeps all of our records organized. I love the customizable forms, surveys, and outcomes. Cons Residents have a hard time with the app. It does not work for them consistently, so some do not engage with it at all, which causes us to have to work-around communication issues. Reason for choosing One Step Because it was intuitive and provided the features that we needed: Client profiles with agendas, notes, medications, documents, money log, outcomes, etc. Switched from [Bonterra ETO](https://www.capterra.com/p/77278/Bonterra-ETO/) ETO was not intuitive and did not provide the features that we needed for it to be useful. October 13, 2022 5.0 Their support is great. i Always get a call back within a day and its always a REAL PERSON. Talking to robots is frustrating so being able to get an actual person on the phone to help me with my problem is worth the wait everytime. Pros Before we got onestep i had to do everything by hand. It was a pain to keep track of but now i can easily keep track of meeting attendance and notes and even our drug test results through my phone. My day has gotten alot less stressful. You should buy this if you have a lot on your plate already. Cons in the onestep admin app it asks you to log in a lot. Sometimes that can be a pain if you are making a lot of changes but beats having to use a computer for everything so i can't complain. I wish there was 24 hour support lots of great features I just don’t know how to use them all Pros It's important for me to have it be user friendly. It's been a little tricky on the admin app for me to figure things out. I wish there were more videos to watch, and I wish there was someone I could call when I am having trouble. July 1, 2021 5.0 It’s been good Pros I like it’s interface and ability to keep track of residents and the ease of doing intakes and keeping records of important documents. Cons Would prefer the app keep clients logged in and so push notifications rather than sms but these items may be prevented by hipaa guidelines. There are some things I wish the program had but I have worked with the team during any issues and am confident features will continue to be developed and improved. Having the ability to monitor the actions they are taking in their daily recovery gives us alot of information at our fingertips. Having a dashboard with tons of easily accessible useful information is extremely helpful. It improves our staff efficiency, the quality of our program participation and gives us the ability to focus our time in the most useful ways possible. Pros As our program begins to expand, One Step has allowed me to remain in touch real time with our program participants, and feel as though I still have a great handle on their overall program participation while I'm have less and less face to face interactions with them. It allows my team to share notes and create a necessary stream of documentation. Cons I have tried to set notification reminders to go out to program participants and they have never worked. I tried to follow step by step directions from customer support and was still unable to achieve the results I was looking for. It's most likely user error. Review Source MH Michael H. Pros It is fast, user friendly and efficient. The GPS monitoring, meeting tracking, and medication logs are used most frequently. What I would say is one of the best qualities is the training/ onboarding. When I hire someone, they can utilize the trainings on the site and become pro's in a day! Cons I create a lot of forms, and I struggle with the limited formatting available. Would be great if word/ excel documents could be uploaded as well. We are currently limited to PDF's only. We’ve researched other software options and none provide the same product for comparable prices. Pros Easy to use and train new staff on. Integration for new residents is simple and manageable. Effective for managing recovery residence needs. Resident tracking services are very helpful. Cons Customer service is very slow to respond at times. Pros I like the ease of use and intuitive design of the software. It's very easy to train staff members to use the software. I also love having all of the information for a resident in one place (rather than searching through physical binders, or files on the server). I love being able to message clients through the app. I love creating online forms to reduce paperwork in the office, and that the forms save directly to a resident's file. Cons There's not much that I don't like about it. I like that One Step will make improvements to the software based on feedback. Reason for choosing One Step It has everything we need to keep residents' records and record their progress in the program. October 14, 2022 4.0 One Step has been amazing as we opened several sober living homes across the U.S. It has been a great place for us to track our census and payments. It is also extremely easy to train house managers with the software. The client app also provide another layer of accountability to our residents. Pros ACH payment processing, text to apply feature, organized census, multiple homes on one platform Cons Took forever to set up ACH, can't divide payments out to different bank accounts Reason for choosing One Step More user friendly and the information collected and payment features far surpassed the other system's capabilities. They can actively monitor their program progress and sobriety dates. Customer service has been exceptional! Pros I love that participants can track their progress in recovery and communicate with each other via the Newsfeed. The shared resource feature is great for adding local support services and contact information. I also love that we can add our own forms and documents to make things so much easier for participants to get paperwork to us. Cons I really wish we had the ability to upload flyers and pictures into the Newsfeed but I understand that this feature may be coming. Review Source BI Barbara I. Having a real time UA/BA log at your fingertips is useful. Cons If you are looking for this software to collect data I would wait a year or so it is not developed enough to track most data. Pros User friendly and it really lives up to its name "One Step" Cons I really would like to see a financial dashboard for the user to manage and track their balance. Reason for choosing One Step I wanted something our entire team could utilize. The software will help us improve our outcomes and enhance our program. We are excited to be able to eliminate extra steps/entries to manage outcomes. This software will save our tribe so much time and energy. I would recommend this software to everyone! It's really all you need to effectively manage a recovery house. Cons The cost for the software is a bit high. Also, it would be nice if they had a built in payment gateway that was free.
