### "Delve is A Lifesaver!"

July 8, 2026

5.0

It felt like a little hidden gem that I stumbled upon. I couldn't believe how simple, effective, and practical it was. Easy to upload all my transcripts, simple to edit the wording of my codes, and so great for searching for direct quotes from participants to support my claims.

Pros

is so easy to learn, yet hugely effective. Watching the tutorials helped me pick up all the features quickly. The search function was very helpful as I did my actual research. It made is so easy for me to search for specific terms that multiple participants used.

Cons

Nothing. It was flawless. Logging in each day was simple. Generating specific data was effortless. I wouldn't change a thing.

### "The essential dissertation partner"

May 25, 2026

5.0

is the only coding app that I found actually FUN to use for coding my PhD research interviews, versus convoluted software like NVivo which I tried using multiple times before giving up and searching for a more sane alternative. Delve has been absolutely integral to my ability to finish my dissertation. I was able to code and translate my data with ease and to see the results quickly. The exported CSV and Excel files are perfectly organized and allow for natural sorting and filtering of data. Creating and applying new codes is a smooth process. Everything I needed to see while coding transcripts was effectively on one page. The organization of the app and ability to create cases and participant data offers just the right amount of personalization for researchers who are just seeking essential coding data without having to spend months learning the software. The folks at Delve respond personally to issues with using the app. I was amazed that improvements I asked for were implemented within days.

Pros

Super quick learning curve. Very intuitive and clear interface. Coding process is simple. Extremely dependable app. Fast search functions. Exporting data to Excel or CSV files makes it easy to then triangulate between cases, codes, transcripts and participants.

Cons

I tried using the AI feature and did not find that it gave me a lot of assistance since it only used "some" of the coding and made choices and inferences I did not agree with. I probably could have given it more of a chance but I found that just exporting and doing it myself was more reliable, and that way the AI wasn't interfering with my data directly. Also, some optional way of visualizing codes while looking at transcripts would be great. I had to scroll through the entire list every time I coded a new sentence or paragraph, to see what codes I already had that might be applicable. I did not use the survey feature since I didn't do surveys, but this seems like it would be equally as helpful as the coding feature.

The others have insufferable learning curves just to use basic features and to achieve usable data. Their extensive functions seem meant for teams of experienced researchers who have been using the software for years, versus one researcher needing to parse essential data about a single qualitative project that can be completed within a year. They cost a lot more and tech support is difficult to obtain.

### "Delve Software"

January 10, 2022

5.0

Tt was very helpful in coding my data

Pros

software helps me to deductively and inductively produce my codes. I am writing my dissertation for my PhD degree and the software was so help. I have use the coding patterns in my data analysis and have develop into themes.

Cons

I am looking for diagraming my codes or concepts that develop out of the data. What is missing is the concept map or the word cloud. it would be best if it could generate that one, but it would costly i think , this one is very affordable for a student. Thank you for the help.

### "Delve is a life-changing experience"

April 6, 2026

5.0

Pros

1\. The UI/UX is highly friendly for new researchers, but the underlying engines are strong enough for heavy-duty qualitative and quantitative research. 2. The files exported from the post-analysis process are quite clean and easy to navigate. It helps with the process of finding quotes to input into the research-writing process. 3. I feel like it is much cheaper than other research tools, which is a huge plus. 4. The customer support team is amazing, and the best thing is they do not generate AI-like or automated emails, which is very good because they will directly help you with any troubles you have. 5. The transcript feature is amazing because it can help you easily classify Interviewer-Interviewees. This is extremely time-saving from cleaning the transcripts to understanding your transcript.

Cons

Honestly, if I could change the color of the background when I was doing my data analysis, it would be perfect. For example, Arc browser has a feature that allows users to change fonts, positions of the tabs as they like, or the color of the background with extensive options. However, it is technically annoying to code this in the UI, so I understand that it might not be worth it as a feature. I think surveys to understand researchers can be launched to understand them more.

### "Don't keep searching, just Delve"

March 13, 2026

5.0

Fabulous. 10 out of 10. No, let's be realistic here... 11 out of 10. Faultless. NVivo? It's a no-no!

Pros

So, many of the seminal textbooks eulogise about NVivo. Well, I can tell you that by comparison, is exponentially superior. If you are looking for a platform to transcribe your MS Word document into coded Thematic Analysis data, look no further. Ideal for Master's level dissertations, research projects, and any other similar uses. I have experienced no security or ethical issues and received excellent 'real-time' customer service when I became 'stuck'. Without Delve, I worry that my final dissertation would not be submitted by its due date. Thank you to Kate in customer service. What an amazing value-for-money (almost priceless) product. Thank you.

Cons

Nothing to report. My experience of to date leaves me lost for words, way short of the character count!

### "Delve is my new go-to research analysis partner"

October 21, 2025

5.0

It was easy to use and a great partner in my qualitative research analysis. I was analyzing transcripts from 50 hour-long interviews and it had the power and capacity for me to code my data without weird delays or tech issues and the tools were exactly what I needed. I also appreciated their resource library. While I am not new to qualitative research, their guidance on how to use for my purposes was clear and effective.

Pros

was incredibly easy to use. I've used NVivo in the past for qualitative data analysis and it's hard to set up, the UI is difficult to navigate and the platform unreliable, but Delve was none of those things. It was incredibly easy to import and manage my data and then go about the coding for my research project. The search functions and categorization tools were straightforward and effective for my data analysis needs. And last, the incorporation of AI was an added bonus.

Cons

The only thing that created any friction was the price, but honestly, I think the tool offers the functionality to warrant the monthly fee.

### "My experience of Delve as a novice researcher - simple, elegant, friendly and effective. "

June 17, 2026

5.0

This was my first experience with a qualitative data analysis program and my experience was extremely positive. I received a very quick, helpful and friendly response to all my questions and requests for help. I would highly recommend to other students and researchers.

Pros

I liked that was simple and elegant to use and not overly expensive. I enjoyed the elegance of the graphics and the simple and intuitive layout of the program. I was able to quickly understand the underlying structure and logic and was able to use it effectively after a short period of experimenting.

Cons

The one improvement I would suggest is the capacity to have more levels of coding. I used a particular qualitiative methodology that required the transcripts to be divided into smaller sections ( "meaning units") as a first step and then paraphrased or "transformed". I would have liked to be able to perform these steps within but the program did not appear to allow the additional levels of coding this would have required.

### "Delve was a life saver, helped so much in my study"

June 5, 2026

5.0

I used for my qualitative exploratory study, which is the dissertation for a doctorate in Clinical Sexology. I interviewed 12 participants, and I was doing thematic analysis of the transcripts. Delve made it so easy to code the data and created data points within qualitative narrative.

Pros

Excellent features, it was so easy to use and so helpful. It was designed so well. It made it so much easier for me to organize and visualize my data.

Cons

I can't really think of anything I didn't like. I have no issue with the layout or functions. The price is completely reasonable, I have no complaints.

### "A gift for the Rookie Researcher."

May 21, 2026

5.0

First time of using this level of qualitative coding software, and I was genuinely conerned about my ability to pull my research project off and where to start. The data analysis tools at the back end - once my intitial analysis was done was so wonderful and many of these tools have appeared in my final product.

Pros

Amazing value for money - particularly for a student price. For a novice researcher the qualitative analysis tool with AI assistance was invaluable.

Cons

Minor detail - more colours would have assisted, however the customer support in terms of providing further detail and 'professional development makes it so worthwhile.

### "User Friendly, Practical, and Effective"

June 2, 2026

5.0

Pros

I had never used a research software before I used , and I really appreciated how user friendly, practical, and effective it was at helping me to organize my qualitative data so I could analyze and write my dissertation more efficiently. The instructional video I watched by the \[sensitive content hidden\] of Delve was super helpful and convinced me to use this program over other options. I was also very thankful that it worked just like the video said it would. And with me being a student, the student discount allowed it to be affordable for me to use. Overall, Delve was exactly what I needed to complete my research project, and I highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a data analysis software that can help them to arrange the information they collected in their research so they can write more proficiently.

Cons

For the version I paid for, I really can't think of anything else that I needed it to do that it didn't do.

### "10/10 experience, GREAT software!"

December 17, 2024

5.0

I loved my experience with ! I used it for my undergraduate honors research project. I had originally tried a free qualitative coding software and it had deleted all of my work. However, I was able to make up for lost work and time using Delve. It was very easy to navigate and use which was helpful for efficiency in coding my data. Additionally, the AI coding was also helpful as I code in addition to what was done by the AI.

Pros

\-User friendly interface -Demo and free trial -AI coding was helpful -Able to change and merge codes easily

Cons

\-It was sometimes difficult to navigate the transcripts which I had downloaded -My interviewees would speak in both English and Spanish; however, the transcription service which I used would only transcribe English. Because of this I would have to edit/merge words and phrases. This was somewhat difficult to do within the software because you had to click the edit symbol. Maybe having a double click function to edit would be helpful.

### "Loving Delve! A real life saver in coding for a student doing research - a few minor tweaks could make it amazing!"

June 18, 2025

4.0

Overall, has been a life saver and a great thing for someone with dyslexia to help organise my coding. I am so thankful and will use it for future projects too. I appreciate the bot who can answer most questions but liked speaking to \[sensitive content hidden\] as a human who was very helpful today.

Pros

I love the way it helps me to map out codes for my research and create codes and nest them into sections. You can search by keyword, and there are lots of helpful features like looking at snippets and filtering systems. The tutorials and mini-course on analysing data is great and helped me a lot. It has helped me a lot as a dyslexic learner to plan and organise my analysis. I will definitely recommend. Also to add, the customer service team are very responsive and helpful. Thanks

Cons

I would have liked an easy way to view all codes and move them around to rearrange them and add nesting, not only via the list, as you have to scroll up and down with the mouse and it is hard to find things. This was time-consuming. Also, it would be good to be able to move codes and nest items when you have searched by name. Currently, you cannot move anything when you are applying a filter. Last thing on my list would be to export codes and subcodes into a list (without the snippets) so you can see themes for planning the write up - even better if it made a mind map for you (but that might be wishful thinking)

### "Delve Is Great for Coding Interviews"

August 11, 2025

4.0

I like a lot, and now that I secured my first academic journal research article, I may be back soon!

Pros

The data analysis was my favorite part of using . Delve helped conduct qualitative research. I used it to code and find connections between 14, 60-minute interviews with experts. I used the findings for my MS thesis and later to build storytelling around each.

Cons

I choose not to connect applications with SSO, for security purposes. It would be best to keep any offerings optional for users. The design of the platform could have better UX and by integrating AI it can improve its social and communications potential to help users maximize their findings by helping to develop content with it.

### "Excellent Analysis Tool"

March 18, 2025

5.0

My experience overall was very positive. Helpful videos, user friendly program that matched the needs of a new qualitative analyst, and a versatile program that not only facilitated my analysis, but also made it easy to reference back during the final writing portion. Additionally, the cost of the program was reasonable and delivered an exceptional service. I highly recommend this product and will use it again if the need arises.

Pros

The program was very user friendly and versatile for my needs. I am not a super tech user and was able to watch the support videos and teach myself how to use it. Using Delvetool was very instrumental in completing my analysis for my dissertation.

Cons

I didn’t have any experience I would categorize as a con.

### "User-Friendly!"

June 25, 2025

5.0

I love using ! I am not a tech wizard, so it is easy for a beginner to use. I also think the price is excellent!

Pros

This was my first experience analyzing data for an applied research study. It was so easy to upload transcripts and organize information. It was easy to add or delete codes. I also found the videos to be very helpful.

Cons

I thought that could help with identifying codes, but it doesn't do that. I am still learning, so I know that as I continue to watch the tutorials, I will learn more!

### "Review from using Delve for my master thesis"

February 20, 2025

5.0

Overall a very good experience and I will definitely recommend it to others!

Pros

I really appreciated the course that came with the program, as it clearly explained how everything works, making it easy to get started. I used the platform for qualitative data collected for my master thesis. The platform is user-friendly, intuitive, and well-organized, which made the workflow both efficient and structured.

Cons

One improvement I would suggest is the option to color-code in different colors. This would make the platform even more organized and visually clear.

Overall, is a solid choice for qualitative researchers. If you are looking for ease, and coding efficiency it is the perfect tool for you.

Pros

is a user friendly tool that tends to be straightforward making it easy to navigate. The coding process is easy to use and I like that it allowed me to easily organize my themes. It works great for traditional qualitative research.

Cons

While is a great tool and easy to use it is not the most advanced coding system that is out there. If you are looking for a truly advanced coding system, this one may not have everything that you are looking for.

### "If you're doing Qualitative Analysis, use Delve."

March 18, 2022

5.0

I couldn't have been happier with ; the tool, the support, the teaching, my experience from start to finish was fantastic.

Pros

not only taught me how to conduct Qualitative Analysis (I was a complete newbie to the concept) but made it incredibly easy to do. The software is intuitive, but there's detailed guidance available on how to get the most out of it, and if I ever had any specific questions, I was able to get near-immediate and detailed support on exactly how to do what I wanted to.

Cons

The ability to group codes beyond 3 tiers may have been useful in some respects, but in others, it forced me to be strict with my coding which lead to a better outcome.

### "Complete End-to-End Experience Designed by Experts in the Field "

October 16, 2023

5.0

I used the free trial for about 10 days to complete my small project. During this time, I learned how to conduct qualitative analysis as a research method and applied what I learned from their comprehensive free resources (the course, YouTube videos as well as their blog entry) on the software to finish my project. In that sense it was an end-to-end experience for me in all respects.

Pros

I've been fortunate to find an excellent tool, DelveTool, designed by experts in the field. This service stands out in the market because it's user-friendly, quick, all-encompassing (understanding qualitative analysis methods + how to conduct coding + starting to code + finishing up the analysis) ; hence suitable for both beginners and experts. It offers free courses on qualitative analysis with valuable resources at:- https://delvetool.com/course- https://delvetool.com/guideI personally used their YouTube videos and free course offered on their website to learn how to conduct qualitative research and appreciated their generosity in providing these resources. Their resources alleviated so much stress and helped me learn how to conduct my work.Once I learned the process, I found the software incredibly intuitive. You can simply select lines, write code, and everything is organized neatly. If I were to give an analogy, I'd say the entire tool (their free sources and the software) explains complex subjects as well as an expert explaining them to someone else in the simplest terms. I find their place in the market to be completely inclusive of what one may need in the process of conducting qualitative research.

Cons

This tool is incredible. There is no cons to it on my side.

Superb! I actually opted out to pay for , although I could have free access to other, traditional, tools, because I loved it so much!

Pros

It's intuitive (easy to learn and master), sleek (looks stylish, and I take great pleasure in using it and love showing the tool off to friends), and simple (my ideas should be complex and comprehensive, not my software).

Cons

1) Limited functionality for document analysis. 2) Snippets get organized according to when introduced, not as they would be lined up in interviews.
