### "Delve is a life-changing experience"

April 6, 2026

5.0

Pros

1\. The UI/UX is highly friendly for new researchers, but the underlying engines are strong enough for heavy-duty qualitative and quantitative research. 2. The files exported from the post-analysis process are quite clean and easy to navigate. It helps with the process of finding quotes to input into the research-writing process. 3. I feel like it is much cheaper than other research tools, which is a huge plus. 4. The customer support team is amazing, and the best thing is they do not generate AI-like or automated emails, which is very good because they will directly help you with any troubles you have. 5. The transcript feature is amazing because it can help you easily classify Interviewer-Interviewees. This is extremely time-saving from cleaning the transcripts to understanding your transcript.

Cons

Honestly, if I could change the color of the background when I was doing my data analysis, it would be perfect. For example, Arc browser has a feature that allows users to change fonts, positions of the tabs as they like, or the color of the background with extensive options. However, it is technically annoying to code this in the UI, so I understand that it might not be worth it as a feature. I think surveys to understand researchers can be launched to understand them more.

Nvivo is too expensive and genuinely to complicate. I only had 3 days to do my data analysis and learning Nvivo from scratch is extremely time-consuming

### "Don't keep searching, just Delve"

March 13, 2026

5.0

Fabulous. 10 out of 10. No, let's be realistic here... 11 out of 10. Faultless. NVivo? It's a no-no!

Pros

So, many of the seminal textbooks eulogise about NVivo. Well, I can tell you that by comparison, is exponentially superior. If you are looking for a platform to transcribe your MS Word document into coded Thematic Analysis data, look no further. Ideal for Master's level dissertations, research projects, and any other similar uses. I have experienced no security or ethical issues and received excellent 'real-time' customer service when I became 'stuck'. Without Delve, I worry that my final dissertation would not be submitted by its due date. Thank you to Kate in customer service. What an amazing value-for-money (almost priceless) product. Thank you.

Cons

Nothing to report. My experience of to date leaves me lost for words, way short of the character count!

### "Delve Software"

January 10, 2022

5.0

Tt was very helpful in coding my data

Pros

software helps me to deductively and inductively produce my codes. I am writing my dissertation for my PhD degree and the software was so help. I have use the coding patterns in my data analysis and have develop into themes.

Cons

I am looking for diagraming my codes or concepts that develop out of the data. What is missing is the concept map or the word cloud. it would be best if it could generate that one, but it would costly i think , this one is very affordable for a student. Thank you for the help.

### "The essential dissertation partner"

May 25, 2026

5.0

is the only coding app that I found actually FUN to use for coding my PhD research interviews, versus convoluted software like NVivo which I tried using multiple times before giving up and searching for a more sane alternative. Delve has been absolutely integral to my ability to finish my dissertation. I was able to code and translate my data with ease and to see the results quickly. The exported CSV and Excel files are perfectly organized and allow for natural sorting and filtering of data. Creating and applying new codes is a smooth process. Everything I needed to see while coding transcripts was effectively on one page. The organization of the app and ability to create cases and participant data offers just the right amount of personalization for researchers who are just seeking essential coding data without having to spend months learning the software. The folks at Delve respond personally to issues with using the app. I was amazed that improvements I asked for were implemented within days.

Pros

Super quick learning curve. Very intuitive and clear interface. Coding process is simple. Extremely dependable app. Fast search functions. Exporting data to Excel or CSV files makes it easy to then triangulate between cases, codes, transcripts and participants.

Cons

I tried using the AI feature and did not find that it gave me a lot of assistance since it only used "some" of the coding and made choices and inferences I did not agree with. I probably could have given it more of a chance but I found that just exporting and doing it myself was more reliable, and that way the AI wasn't interfering with my data directly. Also, some optional way of visualizing codes while looking at transcripts would be great. I had to scroll through the entire list every time I coded a new sentence or paragraph, to see what codes I already had that might be applicable. I did not use the survey feature since I didn't do surveys, but this seems like it would be equally as helpful as the coding feature.

The others have insufferable learning curves just to use basic features and to achieve usable data. Their extensive functions seem meant for teams of experienced researchers who have been using the software for years, versus one researcher needing to parse essential data about a single qualitative project that can be completed within a year. They cost a lot more and tech support is difficult to obtain.

It was great! It was seamless. It was easy to use, and I am not a techy person. The ease of use was extremely valuable to me with the stress of all the data to organize and analyze.

Pros

I love . This program helped me organize my qualitative analysis. The research project I was completing, had a great deal of data to be analyzed. I needed assistance to organize, analyze, and keep everything straight so that I may complete my work. The customer support was amazing and they were always willing to help with any questions I had. The value for the money was unbelievable.

Cons

There is nothing about that I did not like. Sincerely, the customer support was top-notch, and I do believe it helped me to complete my qualitative analysis more seamlessly.

I have been using as my qualitative tool for data analysis since I started doing qualitative studies just as when Delve started, sometime in 2021, if I remember it correctly. I've found Delve user-friendly. More importantly \[sensitive content hidden\] have been very hospitable and always there to respond to my questions and concerns. I feel very much at home using Delve.

Pros

What I like most about its very affordable price. Given that I am a freelance researcher, I've found its pricing very reasonable and helpful.

Cons

Well, none really. But if compel to give at least one, I think it is the security concern. I am not quite sure whether my data are secured with .

### "A gift for the Rookie Researcher."

May 21, 2026

5.0

First time of using this level of qualitative coding software, and I was genuinely conerned about my ability to pull my research project off and where to start. The data analysis tools at the back end - once my intitial analysis was done was so wonderful and many of these tools have appeared in my final product.

Pros

Amazing value for money - particularly for a student price. For a novice researcher the qualitative analysis tool with AI assistance was invaluable.

Cons

Minor detail - more colours would have assisted, however the customer support in terms of providing further detail and 'professional development makes it so worthwhile.

Pros

First of all, excellent support with refunds, when I reached out about not using it for 2 months, which always is a good sign for a legit company interested in actually providing a service, and not just making money.

Cons

It helps me a lot for me to highlight and categorize my interview transcripts with several interviewees.

Pros

It is easy to use for someone who's new to the qualitative analysis tool, like me. The feature was not overwhelming and let me focus on coding my data.

Cons

The price is quite high for a student like me. I hope there will be a discount sometime later, which I believe will benefit other students who need a qualitative analysis tool.

### "Excellent coding software!"

May 11, 2026

5.0

I’ve had a very positive experience! I feel this is a software that is perfect for qualitative researchers in both professional and academic settings. I would definitely use this software again.

Pros

I feel the software was super easy to use! I was able to come up with meaningful codes and add them to my transcript seamlessly.

Cons

They have an AI tool to help with coming up with codes. I wish that some of the codes that AI has come up with could be imported into the transcript.

### "10/10 experience, GREAT software!"

December 17, 2024

5.0

I loved my experience with ! I used it for my undergraduate honors research project. I had originally tried a free qualitative coding software and it had deleted all of my work. However, I was able to make up for lost work and time using Delve. It was very easy to navigate and use which was helpful for efficiency in coding my data. Additionally, the AI coding was also helpful as I code in addition to what was done by the AI.

Pros

\-User friendly interface -Demo and free trial -AI coding was helpful -Able to change and merge codes easily

Cons

\-It was sometimes difficult to navigate the transcripts which I had downloaded -My interviewees would speak in both English and Spanish; however, the transcription service which I used would only transcribe English. Because of this I would have to edit/merge words and phrases. This was somewhat difficult to do within the software because you had to click the edit symbol. Maybe having a double click function to edit would be helpful.

### "Delvetool helped me to quickly cross my dissertation finish line"

May 14, 2025

5.0

I had a great experience with . I searched on other QDAS and Delve seemed to be the most comprehensive for my use. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I was not familiar with using QDAS technology but quickly became reliant on it's usage. I would highly recommend this tool for qualitative research.

Pros

helped me to quickly highlight specific sentences, quotes, or phrases to be able to code them. It also helped me to organize my codes into themes and reorganize them later when I needed to move specific codes to another theme. I was also able to do quick searches for themes I needed and be able to quickly search for specific areas of my paper to write about the topics at hand. Lastly, when doing a search in my notes area, it found all my specific codes or possible themes, that I could quickly go to, and be able to quickly cut and paste into my dissertation. It helped me stay organized and continue my writing process without hiccups.

Cons

I had to use a google spreadsheet to transfer all my codes and from so I could holistically see my codes and possible themes. On the google spreadsheet, I was then able to combine/collapse themes to get a fuller picture of my writing.

### "Excellent Analysis Tool"

March 18, 2025

5.0

My experience overall was very positive. Helpful videos, user friendly program that matched the needs of a new qualitative analyst, and a versatile program that not only facilitated my analysis, but also made it easy to reference back during the final writing portion. Additionally, the cost of the program was reasonable and delivered an exceptional service. I highly recommend this product and will use it again if the need arises.

Pros

The program was very user friendly and versatile for my needs. I am not a super tech user and was able to watch the support videos and teach myself how to use it. Using Delvetool was very instrumental in completing my analysis for my dissertation.

Cons

I didn’t have any experience I would categorize as a con.

### "User-Friendly!"

June 25, 2025

5.0

I love using ! I am not a tech wizard, so it is easy for a beginner to use. I also think the price is excellent!

Pros

This was my first experience analyzing data for an applied research study. It was so easy to upload transcripts and organize information. It was easy to add or delete codes. I also found the videos to be very helpful.

Cons

I thought that could help with identifying codes, but it doesn't do that. I am still learning, so I know that as I continue to watch the tutorials, I will learn more!

### "Highly suggest it"

June 29, 2025

5.0

Pros

The programme had a good user-friendly interface which was easy and pleasant to navigate around. Importing files was not an issue. I also liked the flexible subscription-based model.

Cons

Not much bad to say here, but the exporting the final analysis in Excel wasn't done in the best way, and also including more export formats maybe could be nicer.

### "Excellent support and usability for researcher new to qualitative analysis"

January 24, 2025

5.0

Excellent from beginning to end. Both technical support and course material on qualitative analysis were clear and helpful. The program was easy to use and had the functionality I needed. Billing instructions and details were clear and when I had finished my project and cancelled my subscription, that was easy to do as well. I will use again.

Pros

I'm new to qualitative analysis and I appreciated the excellent introductory course and how easy the actual app was to use and work with for a beginner. It was perfect for me.

Cons

Occasionally I had trouble highlighting the right amount of text--it could be very sensitive. Not a big deal!

### "Use Delve for your qualitative analysis!!!"

September 20, 2024

5.0

was the perfect tool that I found at exactly the right time. It would have taken me much longer to finish my dissertation without Delve! Everyone conducting qualitative analysis should use it. I am a professor, and I recently gave a presentation to a group of professors that regularly do qualitative research, and they all agreed that Delve looks like a great platform that will help them in the future!

Pros

was a Godsend when I needed it most! I was working on my Doctor of Business Administration in Finance, and part of my requirements was that I had to conduct some qualitative analysis in addition to some quantitative analysis for my dissertation. Delve was extremely helpful in helping me learn to quickly and efficiently conduct qualitative analysis of my transcripts using their platform. I could not recommend this anymore than I already am!

Cons

You can only do up to three levels of coding on the qualitative data. I remember wanting to do more than three levels, but I couldn't and maybe that is by design.

### "Simple tool for thematic analysis"

October 7, 2024

4.0

Pros

Great for systematically splitting up transcripts, assigning codes, and synthesising codes into themes. Also the tool is simple to use and found it quite intuitive to use.

Cons

Nothing in particular, but please keep in mind I was doing simple thematic analysis for a University post grad project. Unsure if there are advanced features required by expert qualitative researchers.

I already coded three transcripts and it helped me to be productive.

Pros

It is simple to use and very interactive. It was easy to code and also the snippets sections are very useful. I also loved the filter section for the codes.

Cons

I liked it a lot. No complains so far. Would be great if in the future, there would be a summary section and also a way to connect the codes (as network) and visualize it to see a pattern.

### "Super helpful!"

July 20, 2024

5.0

Biggest pro in my opinion is the learning materials, because I wouldnt have been able to do my analysis without all the data they provide online. This was the key reason I decided to use it - I felt like I have enough information to do the coding and analysis. And when I got stuck, customer support was right there with their fast responses.

Pros

I found it very helpful to have a tool that enabled me to iteratively improve on my code until I was able to move on to interpretation. It was also useful when I needed to write my narrative to be able to come back to the snippets and remember all the important findings from the data.

Cons

I needed some time to figure out how the grouping worked. And I would LOVE an undo button just in case.

### "Delve Qualitative Data Analysis Tool"

April 24, 2024

5.0

One word, "helpful." proved to be very helpful for the project I conducted. I happen to have come across it by chance and it proved to be such a wonderful opportunity that I was able to grab. Delve did not only help me speed up my research process through its features but also afforded me more time to focus on the actual analysis. It assisted me in working through my data across transcripts and groups/categories in an organized manner. I was also able to review the themes, codes, and specific parts of the transcripts easily, which enabled me to dig deeper into the data and solidify the ideas even further. It was so helpful to me that I have already spoken to colleagues and friends about the tool. I'm truly confident that whoever will experience it will also find it useful.

Pros

Among the many things that brings to the table, my favorite feature is the Grouping/Categorizing and the Search function. These may not appear as complex features but compared to traditional tools, such as pen and paper or word processors, they prove to be very useful when conducting qualitative analysis. It also does not have a limit on the number of transcripts that can be uploaded so it makes it easier to group the codes and review them. Through Delve, I was able to spend more time on "analyzing" than "finding" and "locating."

Cons

Rather than liking least, I think I would suggest a few additional features that may also be useful to us users. Of course, we do have different purposes for engaging with but I believe that a good percentage of users also want to extract visuals that can aid in the work that we're doing (may it be academic research, work report etc.). I think having the function to extract automated visuals through graphs, diagrams etc.

### "If you're doing Qualitative Analysis, use Delve."

March 18, 2022

5.0

I couldn't have been happier with ; the tool, the support, the teaching, my experience from start to finish was fantastic.

Pros

not only taught me how to conduct Qualitative Analysis (I was a complete newbie to the concept) but made it incredibly easy to do. The software is intuitive, but there's detailed guidance available on how to get the most out of it, and if I ever had any specific questions, I was able to get near-immediate and detailed support on exactly how to do what I wanted to.

Cons

The ability to group codes beyond 3 tiers may have been useful in some respects, but in others, it forced me to be strict with my coding which lead to a better outcome.

### "Complete End-to-End Experience Designed by Experts in the Field "

October 16, 2023

5.0

I used the free trial for about 10 days to complete my small project. During this time, I learned how to conduct qualitative analysis as a research method and applied what I learned from their comprehensive free resources (the course, YouTube videos as well as their blog entry) on the software to finish my project. In that sense it was an end-to-end experience for me in all respects.

Pros

I've been fortunate to find an excellent tool, DelveTool, designed by experts in the field. This service stands out in the market because it's user-friendly, quick, all-encompassing (understanding qualitative analysis methods + how to conduct coding + starting to code + finishing up the analysis) ; hence suitable for both beginners and experts. It offers free courses on qualitative analysis with valuable resources at:- https://delvetool.com/course- https://delvetool.com/guideI personally used their YouTube videos and free course offered on their website to learn how to conduct qualitative research and appreciated their generosity in providing these resources. Their resources alleviated so much stress and helped me learn how to conduct my work.Once I learned the process, I found the software incredibly intuitive. You can simply select lines, write code, and everything is organized neatly. If I were to give an analogy, I'd say the entire tool (their free sources and the software) explains complex subjects as well as an expert explaining them to someone else in the simplest terms. I find their place in the market to be completely inclusive of what one may need in the process of conducting qualitative research.

Cons

This tool is incredible. There is no cons to it on my side.
