### "Delve is a life-changing experience"

April 6, 2026

5.0

Pros

1\. The UI/UX is highly friendly for new researchers, but the underlying engines are strong enough for heavy-duty qualitative and quantitative research. 2. The files exported from the post-analysis process are quite clean and easy to navigate. It helps with the process of finding quotes to input into the research-writing process. 3. I feel like it is much cheaper than other research tools, which is a huge plus. 4. The customer support team is amazing, and the best thing is they do not generate AI-like or automated emails, which is very good because they will directly help you with any troubles you have. 5. The transcript feature is amazing because it can help you easily classify Interviewer-Interviewees. This is extremely time-saving from cleaning the transcripts to understanding your transcript.

Cons

Honestly, if I could change the color of the background when I was doing my data analysis, it would be perfect. For example, Arc browser has a feature that allows users to change fonts, positions of the tabs as they like, or the color of the background with extensive options. However, it is technically annoying to code this in the UI, so I understand that it might not be worth it as a feature. I think surveys to understand researchers can be launched to understand them more.

Nvivo is too expensive and genuinely to complicate. I only had 3 days to do my data analysis and learning Nvivo from scratch is extremely time-consuming

### "Great for qualitative graduate research"

August 25, 2025

5.0

I used Delve during my graduate studies in vocal pedagogy. I was able to import transcripts from my interviews as well as relevant articles. This helped me to connect points across the literature and my own research to be able to write coherent research projects. I also appreciated that they offer a student discount. I will definitely continue to use Delve in future research.

Pros

My favorite part about Delve was the ability to pull the codes around and create an outline for my research projects. My brain works pretty visually, and so seeing the outline come together in real time based on the data was extremely helpful. I also like that I could add notes to each code to help clarify what should be included.

Cons

I wish that I could nest more than three layers in the codes. I often had more clarifying points that I wanted to add, and I had to come up with creative ways to be able to represent more detailed points.

### "Delve Software"

January 10, 2022

5.0

Tt was very helpful in coding my data

Pros

Delve software helps me to deductively and inductively produce my codes. I am writing my dissertation for my PhD degree and the software was so help. I have use the coding patterns in my data analysis and have develop into themes.

Cons

I am looking for diagraming my codes or concepts that develop out of the data. What is missing is the concept map or the word cloud. it would be best if it could generate that one, but it would costly i think , this one is very affordable for a student. Thank you delve for the help.

### "Don't keep searching, just Delve"

March 13, 2026

5.0

Fabulous. 10 out of 10. No, let's be realistic here... 11 out of 10. Faultless. NVivo? It's a no-no!

Pros

So, many of the seminal textbooks eulogise about NVivo. Well, I can tell you that by comparison, Delve is exponentially superior. If you are looking for a platform to transcribe your MS Word document into coded Thematic Analysis data, look no further. Ideal for Master's level dissertations, research projects, and any other similar uses. I have experienced no security or ethical issues and received excellent 'real-time' customer service when I became 'stuck'. Without Delve, I worry that my final dissertation would not be submitted by its due date. Thank you to Kate in customer service. What an amazing value-for-money (almost priceless) product. Thank you.

Cons

Nothing to report. My experience of Delve to date leaves me lost for words, way short of the character count!

### "Delve is my new go-to research analysis partner"

October 21, 2025

5.0

It was easy to use and a great partner in my qualitative research analysis. I was analyzing transcripts from 50 hour-long interviews and it had the power and capacity for me to code my data without weird delays or tech issues and the tools were exactly what I needed. I also appreciated their resource library. While I am not new to qualitative research, their guidance on how to use Delve for my purposes was clear and effective.

Pros

Delve was incredibly easy to use. I've used NVivo in the past for qualitative data analysis and it's hard to set up, the UI is difficult to navigate and the platform unreliable, but Delve was none of those things. It was incredibly easy to import and manage my data and then go about the coding for my research project. The search functions and categorization tools were straightforward and effective for my data analysis needs. And last, the incorporation of AI was an added bonus.

Cons

The only thing that created any friction was the price, but honestly, I think the tool offers the functionality to warrant the monthly fee.

### "Just give it a try, you won't regret it!"

May 10, 2025

5.0

Overall, I have loved using Delve! Great customer service, helpful resources, and the tool itself was intuitive and easy to learn.

Pros

Delve was very intuitive and easy to use. I liked how many resources the Delve team made freely available via their blog and YouTube channels. These resources were incredible helpful, and a very great way for a new qualitative researcher to learn. I also appreciate the low cost and ability to use Delve when I need it, and pause my subscription when I don't need it.

Cons

I truly can't think of anything about this product that I dislike. There are data visualization features I'd love to see in the future as they continue to develop, but I think this product fit my needs perfectly.

### "Clean Design with Effective Analytical Support"

June 4, 2025

5.0

I appreciate that Delve is easy to use and visually pleasing to the eye, which is important when one is buried in data. The nesting feature allows for fluidity as the codes are rearranged several times throughout the analytic process, allowing me to dissect, manipulate, and rebuild data.

Pros

Delve is very user-friendly when coding. Additionally, the tutorial videos provide just the right amount of information to explain various research methods in a clear and concise way. Delve was my "go-to" tool as I completed my dissertation.

Cons

It might be nice to have additional options for outputs, such as analysis reports or graphs/tables, to be printed from the coding.

### "10/10 experience, GREAT software!"

December 17, 2024

5.0

I loved my experience with Delve! I used it for my undergraduate honors research project. I had originally tried a free qualitative coding software and it had deleted all of my work. However, I was able to make up for lost work and time using Delve. It was very easy to navigate and use which was helpful for efficiency in coding my data. Additionally, the AI coding was also helpful as I code in addition to what was done by the AI.

Pros

\-User friendly interface -Demo and free trial -AI coding was helpful -Able to change and merge codes easily

Cons

\-It was sometimes difficult to navigate the transcripts which I had downloaded -My interviewees would speak in both English and Spanish; however, the transcription service which I used would only transcribe English. Because of this I would have to edit/merge words and phrases. This was somewhat difficult to do within the Delve software because you had to click the edit symbol. Maybe having a double click function to edit would be helpful.

### "Love Delve, it's been such a lifesaver "

January 15, 2026

5.0

Absolutely loved this service. The cost was so generous for a student novice and the sales, admin, user-ease were all fantastic. I have honestly really loved working with Delve.

Pros

Delve stood out in the market for being really intuitive and easy to use. There were a lot of other options available but they all seemed a bit intense and complicated. For a novice, I really appreciated Delve's simplicity and I wasn't disappointed: and it took me about two minutes to understand so I could begin my analysis immediately. It is really seamless and elegant to work with. A true pleasure - if it's possible to say that of thematic analysis!

Cons

On user-friendliness you won't be disappointed. It's a dream to operate. If you need very advanced coding technologies and AI generated codes then you might want to try a different option. But for my MA this is great.

### "User & Budget Friendly"

December 15, 2025

5.0

It was exactly what I needed for the budget and timeline I had. I am grateful for the thoughtfulness that you all have clearly put into teaching and user-friendliness.

Pros

The videos that accompany the program guide you through its use step by step. That was amazing! The price was amazing as well. Struggling students don't have 100s of dollars to dedicate to programs. This one was so affordable.

Cons

It was pretty bland. I wish I could have color-coded some things to help with data fatigue. The price makes up for this, but it was the one thing I wish were different.

### "Wonderful Product"

October 5, 2024

5.0

Pros

Incredibly easy to use and the new AI feature is helpful with coding and exploring codes I may have missed initially.

Cons

It's hard to think of cons with Delve. The only thing I would say I find as a con is that you cannot continue accessing your previous research if you discontinue your subscription. It would be nice to at least be able to view archived data even if it isn't something that is editable in the program.

### "Great product, even greater resources"

January 7, 2024

5.0

Overall, I am grateful for software like Delve that gave me the opportunity to quickly conduct a qualitative analysis for a pilot study. Other options exist; however, the wealth of resources that Delve offers (for free) on the fundamentals of qualitative methods sold me over the competition. I appreciate developers who know who their audience is and how they can help them beyond the product they are offering. Thank you, Delve!

Pros

The most practical aspect of Delve is, firstly and foremost, the resources available to embark on Qualitative analysis. Without those resources, I would not have been able to approach my research questions. It was then very easy for me to use Delve because of the software's intuitiveness. I could not spend precious time learning how to use the software and focus that time on my research.

Cons

Since I used Delve for a pilot study for a project, I did not have to expand in other areas of Delve to explore some of the limitations possible. To the extent I used Delve, there was not much to dislike.

### "Excellent Analysis Tool"

March 18, 2025

5.0

My experience overall was very positive. Helpful videos, user friendly program that matched the needs of a new qualitative analyst, and a versatile program that not only facilitated my analysis, but also made it easy to reference back during the final writing portion. Additionally, the cost of the program was reasonable and delivered an exceptional service. I highly recommend this product and will use it again if the need arises.

Pros

The program was very user friendly and versatile for my needs. I am not a super tech user and was able to watch the support videos and teach myself how to use it. Using Delvetool was very instrumental in completing my analysis for my dissertation.

Cons

I didn’t have any experience I would categorize as a con.

Very positive: great software, very easy to use, instruction videos are wonderful (even better than my professor ;-))

Pros

### "Excellent support and usability for researcher new to qualitative analysis"

January 24, 2025

Excellent from beginning to end. Both technical support and course material on qualitative analysis were clear and helpful. The program was easy to use and had the functionality I needed. Billing instructions and details were clear and when I had finished my project and cancelled my subscription, that was easy to do as well. I will use Delve again.

Pros

I'm new to qualitative analysis and I appreciated the excellent introductory course and how easy the actual app was to use and work with for a beginner. It was perfect for me.

Cons

### "Review from using Delve for my master thesis"

February 20, 2025

5.0

Overall a very good experience and I will definitely recommend it to others!

Pros

I really appreciated the course that came with the program, as it clearly explained how everything works, making it easy to get started. I used the platform for qualitative data collected for my master thesis. The platform is user-friendly, intuitive, and well-organized, which made the workflow both efficient and structured.

Cons

One improvement I would suggest is the option to color-code in different colors. This would make the platform even more organized and visually clear.

### "Delve Review"

October 25, 2024

5.0

Overall, Delve is a solid choice for qualitative researchers. If you are looking for ease, and coding efficiency it is the perfect tool for you.

Pros

Delve is a user friendly tool that tends to be straightforward making it easy to navigate. The coding process is easy to use and I like that it allowed me to easily organize my themes. It works great for traditional qualitative research.

Cons

While Delve is a great tool and easy to use it is not the most advanced coding system that is out there. If you are looking for a truly advanced coding system, this one may not have everything that you are looking for.

### "Such a great tool! Life saver! "

September 27, 2024

Such a great tool and I will use it again if I decide to do a Phd!

Pros

I loved how I could organise and visually see my data, I loved that I could ask the AI questions about the data that I was curious about, I really liked how streamlined every thing was, for example the fact that I could print or download my data for my dissertation

Cons

I did figure it out very quick, it’s perfect when you’re working in time crunch, maybe becuase I manually coded my data it took me a long time, however the AI coding I did not use and when I tried it didn’t work

Superb! I actually opted out to pay for Delve, although I could have free access to other, traditional, tools, because I loved it so much!

Pros

It's intuitive (easy to learn and master), sleek (looks stylish, and I take great pleasure in using it and love showing the tool off to friends), and simple (my ideas should be complex and comprehensive, not my software).

Cons

1) Limited functionality for document analysis. 2) Snippets get organized according to when introduced, not as they would be lined up in interviews.

### "Huge time saver in coding qualitative data! "

June 20, 2024

5.0

Saved a huge amount of time when working with a large data set. My project involved identifying key themes in consultation feedback. The feedback range in scope and breadth from big picture to granular issues. Delve allowed me to quickly identify, code and group the themes in my data, enabling me to provide a summary of the feedback in an accessible way.

Pros

Delve was easy to set up and get started right away. 14 day free trial was generous, as is maintaining retention of your data when you cancel/pause your subscription. I actually completed my project within this trial period, but was so appreciative of the value it delivered to the project I paid for 1 month anyway. Delve made categorising/coding qualitative data easy and allowed for easy identification of key themes in the data.

Cons

I would have liked to be able to select multiple elements of text and coded them simultaneously. This may be related to how my text was formatted when I imported it into Delve, but each paragraph mark was treated as creating a new 'snippet' of text and so I couldn't select multiple paragraphs at one time and code them to the same theme.

### "Massive Time Saver "

April 2, 2024

5.0

Amazing! I am really glad I found it and I would recommend it to anyone. Be at a student an academic or a researcher. I recommended it to my supervisor who was only used to doing it with pen and paper and she was also really impressed.

Pros

I'm an undergraduate 3rd year psychology student. I was allocated to a supervisor that specialises in qualitative research. This was really out of my comfort zone because I hadn't been taught much about it in the previous years. I found myself feeling overwhelmed at the idea of printing and reading through all my transcripts, physically highlighting in different colours and creating a massive table to write all my snippets in. . . I was dreading it so much that I actively procrastinated from starting my analysis. If u hadn't found Delve I may have not even started now... Regardless, I finished all of my analysis in 10 days... Soemthing that I was anticipating would take a month especially with my dyslexia. I am so glad such a helpful and user friendly software exists and I will definitely be using it again if I am ever required to do qualitative research again.

Cons

I found it a bit annoying how you couldn't move a certain code to a different place. For example I coded "sleep" 10 codes before "mindfulness". The only way to bring them closer was to create a theme or a sub theme but to my knowledge I wasn't able to just reorder the position of the codes. That would have been a nice feature. I also wish I could have created more subthemes without there being a limit of 3. It also would have been cool if I could clearly label soemthing as a theme or a sub theme even if it was just colour coded. The layout now basically just looks a russian doll of codes. In the grand scheme of things, all of these are minor because I had no difficulties with my analysis but I think these features would make the software even better.
