### "DELVE is a tool I would highly recommend for qualitative analysis "

November 25, 2024

5.0

A very good experience, especially for someone on the go. The fact that it is web-based makes it easier to use and does not lock you out whether using PC or MAC. The tutorials on youtube are also helpful in navigating through the application.

Pros

It is easy to use and simplifies the analysis process.

Cons

Nothing it was the right application. Everything about delve was good

### "Dissertation in half the time."

May 9, 2025

5.0

This program cut my analysis time in half and write up was a breeze. I am on track to finish my dissertation in under a year!

Pros

The ease of adding every transcript, then the coding, being able to drag and drop.

Cons

Could only do nested codes to three levels. More would be better, or unlimited would be better.

### "Excellent support and usability for researcher new to qualitative analysis"

January 24, 2025

5.0

Excellent from beginning to end. Both technical support and course material on qualitative analysis were clear and helpful. The program was easy to use and had the functionality I needed. Billing instructions and details were clear and when I had finished my project and cancelled my subscription, that was easy to do as well. I will use Delve again.

Pros

I'm new to qualitative analysis and I appreciated the excellent introductory course and how easy the actual app was to use and work with for a beginner. It was perfect for me.

Cons

Occasionally I had trouble highlighting the right amount of text--it could be very sensitive. Not a big deal!

### "Review from using Delve for my master thesis"

February 20, 2025

5.0

Overall a very good experience and I will definitely recommend it to others!

Pros

I really appreciated the course that came with the program, as it clearly explained how everything works, making it easy to get started. I used the platform for qualitative data collected for my master thesis. The platform is user-friendly, intuitive, and well-organized, which made the workflow both efficient and structured.

Cons

One improvement I would suggest is the option to color-code in different colors. This would make the platform even more organized and visually clear.

### "Wonderful Product"

October 5, 2024

5.0

Pros

Incredibly easy to use and the new AI feature is helpful with coding and exploring codes I may have missed initially.

Cons

It's hard to think of cons with Delve. The only thing I would say I find as a con is that you cannot continue accessing your previous research if you discontinue your subscription. It would be nice to at least be able to view archived data even if it isn't something that is editable in the program.

### "Delve Review"

October 25, 2024

5.0

Overall, Delve is a solid choice for qualitative researchers. If you are looking for ease, and coding efficiency it is the perfect tool for you.

Pros

Delve is a user friendly tool that tends to be straightforward making it easy to navigate. The coding process is easy to use and I like that it allowed me to easily organize my themes. It works great for traditional qualitative research.

Cons

While Delve is a great tool and easy to use it is not the most advanced coding system that is out there. If you are looking for a truly advanced coding system, this one may not have everything that you are looking for.

### "Simple tool for thematic analysis"

October 7, 2024

4.0

Pros

Great for systematically splitting up transcripts, assigning codes, and synthesising codes into themes. Also the tool is simple to use and found it quite intuitive to use.

Cons

Nothing in particular, but please keep in mind I was doing simple thematic analysis for a University post grad project. Unsure if there are advanced features required by expert qualitative researchers.

### "Such a great tool! Life saver! "

September 27, 2024

5.0

Such a great tool and I will use it again if I decide to do a Phd!

Pros

I loved how I could organise and visually see my data, I loved that I could ask the AI questions about the data that I was curious about, I really liked how streamlined every thing was, for example the fact that I could print or download my data for my dissertation

Cons

I did figure it out very quick, it’s perfect when you’re working in time crunch, maybe becuase I manually coded my data it took me a long time, however the AI coding I did not use and when I tried it didn’t work

### "Highly Recommend Delve"

August 19, 2024

5.0

I already coded three transcripts and it helped me to be productive.

Pros

It is simple to use and very interactive. It was easy to code and also the snippets sections are very useful. I also loved the filter section for the codes.

Cons

I liked it a lot. No complains so far. Would be great if in the future, there would be a summary section and also a way to connect the codes (as network) and visualize it to see a pattern.

### "it's worth buying this product. Must have Product for Qualitative Analysis."

July 15, 2024

5.0

overall my experience till now with delve was Excellent. it was worth for the money, I may continue to use this even after I graduate from college wound't mind at all for spending my money on Delve. Coz it's worth buying this product. Must have Product for Qualitative Analysis.

Pros

if you are a beginner in Qualitative analysis methods, Delve is a go to for Data analysis. Made my Analysis journey easier and time efficient. I like the option as coding using AI which works really very and reducing half of your time on coding every transcript. I also like description option for every code making it easier to write the narrative which is so true as mentioned in the introduction video of Delve.

Cons

First: I wish there was Auto transcribing optionI which is a first step in qualitative analysis is transcribing interviews and then moving on to coding. Second: wanted color coding to differentiate between themes and underlining of the sentences in different colors to identify between common codes and least used code.

### "Huge time saver in coding qualitative data! "

June 20, 2024

5.0

Saved a huge amount of time when working with a large data set. My project involved identifying key themes in consultation feedback. The feedback range in scope and breadth from big picture to granular issues. Delve allowed me to quickly identify, code and group the themes in my data, enabling me to provide a summary of the feedback in an accessible way.

Pros

Delve was easy to set up and get started right away. 14 day free trial was generous, as is maintaining retention of your data when you cancel/pause your subscription. I actually completed my project within this trial period, but was so appreciative of the value it delivered to the project I paid for 1 month anyway. Delve made categorising/coding qualitative data easy and allowed for easy identification of key themes in the data.

Cons

I would have liked to be able to select multiple elements of text and coded them simultaneously. This may be related to how my text was formatted when I imported it into Delve, but each paragraph mark was treated as creating a new 'snippet' of text and so I couldn't select multiple paragraphs at one time and code them to the same theme.

### "Super helpful!"

July 20, 2024

5.0

Biggest pro in my opinion is the learning materials, because I wouldnt have been able to do my analysis without all the data they provide online. This was the key reason I decided to use it - I felt like I have enough information to do the coding and analysis. And when I got stuck, customer support was right there with their fast responses.

Pros

I found it very helpful to have a tool that enabled me to iteratively improve on my code until I was able to move on to interpretation. It was also useful when I needed to write my narrative to be able to come back to the snippets and remember all the important findings from the data.

Cons

I needed some time to figure out how the grouping worked. And I would LOVE an undo button just in case.

### "Delve Qualitative Data Analysis Tool"

April 24, 2024

5.0

One word, "helpful." Delve proved to be very helpful for the project I conducted. I happen to have come across it by chance and it proved to be such a wonderful opportunity that I was able to grab. Delve did not only help me speed up my research process through its features but also afforded me more time to focus on the actual analysis. It assisted me in working through my data across transcripts and groups/categories in an organized manner. I was also able to review the themes, codes, and specific parts of the transcripts easily, which enabled me to dig deeper into the data and solidify the ideas even further. It was so helpful to me that I have already spoken to colleagues and friends about the tool. I'm truly confident that whoever will experience it will also find it useful.

Pros

Among the many things that Delve brings to the table, my favorite feature is the Grouping/Categorizing and the Search function. These may not appear as complex features but compared to traditional tools, such as pen and paper or word processors, they prove to be very useful when conducting qualitative analysis. It also does not have a limit on the number of transcripts that can be uploaded so it makes it easier to group the codes and review them. Through Delve, I was able to spend more time on "analyzing" than "finding" and "locating."

Cons

Rather than liking least, I think I would suggest a few additional features that may also be useful to us users. Of course, we do have different purposes for engaging with Delve but I believe that a good percentage of users also want to extract visuals that can aid in the work that we're doing (may it be academic research, work report etc.). I think having the function to extract automated visuals through graphs, diagrams etc.

### "Massive Time Saver "

April 2, 2024

5.0

Amazing! I am really glad I found it and I would recommend it to anyone. Be at a student an academic or a researcher. I recommended it to my supervisor who was only used to doing it with pen and paper and she was also really impressed.

Pros

I'm an undergraduate 3rd year psychology student. I was allocated to a supervisor that specialises in qualitative research. This was really out of my comfort zone because I hadn't been taught much about it in the previous years. I found myself feeling overwhelmed at the idea of printing and reading through all my transcripts, physically highlighting in different colours and creating a massive table to write all my snippets in. . . I was dreading it so much that I actively procrastinated from starting my analysis. If u hadn't found Delve I may have not even started now... Regardless, I finished all of my analysis in 10 days... Soemthing that I was anticipating would take a month especially with my dyslexia. I am so glad such a helpful and user friendly software exists and I will definitely be using it again if I am ever required to do qualitative research again.

Cons

I found it a bit annoying how you couldn't move a certain code to a different place. For example I coded "sleep" 10 codes before "mindfulness". The only way to bring them closer was to create a theme or a sub theme but to my knowledge I wasn't able to just reorder the position of the codes. That would have been a nice feature. I also wish I could have created more subthemes without there being a limit of 3. It also would have been cool if I could clearly label soemthing as a theme or a sub theme even if it was just colour coded. The layout now basically just looks a russian doll of codes. In the grand scheme of things, all of these are minor because I had no difficulties with my analysis but I think these features would make the software even better.

### "Use of Delve in a Qualitative analysis of interviews "

July 7, 2022

5.0

I was analyzing interviews of nurses and physicians and I was worried I would not get enough results or conclusions from the brief interviews, but the way Delve helped analyze really brought out meaningful results

Pros

Coding was fast and easy, but the way Delve helped me analyze the data was where I most appreciated the software. I also used the chat and email to ask questions and got fast answers

Cons

Nothing to report for cons. Delve looks almost too simple, like it’s not sophisticated but it is.

### "If you're doing Qualitative Analysis, use Delve."

March 18, 2022

5.0

I couldn't have been happier with Delve; the tool, the support, the teaching, my experience from start to finish was fantastic.

Pros

Delve not only taught me how to conduct Qualitative Analysis (I was a complete newbie to the concept) but made it incredibly easy to do. The software is intuitive, but there's detailed guidance available on how to get the most out of it, and if I ever had any specific questions, I was able to get near-immediate and detailed support on exactly how to do what I wanted to.

Cons

The ability to group codes beyond 3 tiers may have been useful in some respects, but in others, it forced me to be strict with my coding which lead to a better outcome.

### "Complete End-to-End Experience Designed by Experts in the Field "

October 16, 2023

5.0

I used the free trial for about 10 days to complete my small project. During this time, I learned how to conduct qualitative analysis as a research method and applied what I learned from their comprehensive free resources (the course, YouTube videos as well as their blog entry) on the software to finish my project. In that sense it was an end-to-end experience for me in all respects.

Pros

I've been fortunate to find an excellent tool, DelveTool, designed by experts in the field. This service stands out in the market because it's user-friendly, quick, all-encompassing (understanding qualitative analysis methods + how to conduct coding + starting to code + finishing up the analysis) ; hence suitable for both beginners and experts. It offers free courses on qualitative analysis with valuable resources at:- https://delvetool.com/course- https://delvetool.com/guideI personally used their YouTube videos and free course offered on their website to learn how to conduct qualitative research and appreciated their generosity in providing these resources. Their resources alleviated so much stress and helped me learn how to conduct my work.Once I learned the process, I found the software incredibly intuitive. You can simply select lines, write code, and everything is organized neatly. If I were to give an analogy, I'd say the entire tool (their free sources and the software) explains complex subjects as well as an expert explaining them to someone else in the simplest terms. I find their place in the market to be completely inclusive of what one may need in the process of conducting qualitative research.

Cons

This tool is incredible. There is no cons to it on my side.

### "Qualitative analysis with undergrads"

April 23, 2024

4.0

Delve is great! Its easy to use, and very affordable. I will certainly use it again next time I have a qualitative project.

Pros

Delve is very user-friendly. Its quite intuitive, so its easy for new users, including students, to pick it up. It is also very affordable and easy to cancel. I was able to work with undergraduate students during the school year, then pause our subscription until we could resume after the summer and winter break. It is great that we are able to see each other's codebooks, so I was able to see that our students were making progress on their coding. The export feature was super helpful when we were done with our project. I was able to export all of our codes, which is making it easier to put the manuscript together.

Cons

One feature that could be improved would be keeping track of overlapping codes. There were several times when we accidentally double coded the same block of text, but it was not easy to visibly distinguish between the underlined text and identify the double code.

### "An ideal tool for qualitative research"

June 19, 2023

5.0

I have used Delve to work with my empirical material for a master thesis. So, I used for just a short time but if was a very efficient tool and helped a lot with this stage of the process. My material was interview transcripts, and it was a very good tool to keep the material in the same place as the navigation between the transcripts was super easy even though there were a few hundred pages.

Pros

The product is very easy to use, it has very good tutorials that explain in detail how to use the product. Also, the tutorials are short so you don't have to spend lots of time to understand how the tool works. This aspect was very important for me, as I didn't had lots of time to work with the data. I also liked how easy it was to code the material and then export in doc. and the fact that the doc. maintains the headings for the categories and codes. It made it easier to work with the material.

Cons

The way the transcripts were separated by the tool made it a bit hard to work with some paragraphs at points, but it wasn't a major inconvenience.
