### "Fantastic qualitative analysis and organization tool that saves time!"

September 18, 2020

5.0

Delve has helped me reduce my hands-on analysis time that I was doing manually: reading Word transcripts, copying and pasting verbatims into a separate document, making notes about findings in yet another document, and writing into a PPT file. Using Delve, it is easier to focus just on coding to start, without getting sidetracked analyzing what I am reading. Once coding is finished, the selected excerpts are already organized based on my own custom outline and I can begin analyzing right away, rather than spending time organizing my notes before I can begin the analysis and writing process. I have also found Delve especially valuable when working with a large number of interviews because the platform helps me stay much more organized and be able to digest the data in a much more manageable format.

Pros

Great feature set is very intuitive to learn and start using right away. Interface makes it very easy to construct codes, highlight and code text and view excerpts in different ways. Being able to code as little as a word or as much as a paragraph (or multiple paragraphs) results in more robust coding. Knowing that I can focus solely on coding and let the platform categorize the data for me means coding takes much less time than doing it by hand. Once I have coded everything, I can then view the data in different ways, start my analysis and find the story. I also love the responsiveness of the Delve team. They are available via email and chat, and are not only helpful when I have needed immediate support on a usability question, but they are also extremely receptive to user suggestions and welcome ideas from users on improvements that would make Delve even more valuable and useful.

Cons

I have not encountered any significant drawbacks or issues with the Delve platform. While there are some minor limitations, Delve has been great at communicating about platform improvements and increased functionality - some of which I have seen implemented since I started using the platform about 5 months ago.

### "Highly Recommend "

April 26, 2023

5.0

This was my first time coding any type of data, so it was a bit daunting at first. Delve is an unbelievably user-friendly site. I quickly learned about various methods of coding, and gained a deeper understanding of my data set. Delve came in clutch when writing my final thesis, which is a huge part of my grade.

Pros

\[sensitive content hidden\] created a video for nearly every scenario you could encounter when coding. The videos included helpful examples and visuals. I referenced the videos several times as I coded, and it was a breeze.

Cons

There is nothing I dislike about Delve.

### "Excellent tool for qualitative data analysis & management"

November 8, 2019

5.0

Excellent newer tool to the market for social scientists, researchers, and those who have periodic needs to analyze and manage qualitative data. I've used the tool for a recent project interviewing stakeholders -- including respondents from a donor, government agency, UN organizations, and non-profits -- in a project related to a public health program in a developing country to understand what is working and not working from different organizational and professional perspectives. I signed up for the Delve monthly subscription and will keep using it for my next project.

Pros

Delve is the qualitative data analysis tool I was waiting for! I have periodic projects requiring qualitative data analysis of interview transcripts in English and sometimes French. Within a few minutes of signing up, I had dragged transcripts into the project panes and was coding data. It is easy-to-use, with a clean interface that required no lag-time of reviewing instructions or familiarizing myself with the tool. Favorite features: - Intuitive especially tagging features including to merge, rename, or change hierarchy of thematic codes - Web-based tool (no need to install software onto the computer) - French and other languages can be used - Option to add demographic information and descriptors to the transcript that can later be filtered - Useful filter options to quickly pull up data and transcript excerpts in different ways - Very reasonably priced

Cons

None - it surpassed expectations and I will continue using

### "Thematic Analysis Research Project"

May 1, 2023

5.0

I would go as far as to say I could not have done my research project without Delve.

Pros

Delve was very easy to use and it was quick to pick up. All of the functions I used were user friendly and perfect for my research project.

Cons

There was hardly anything I did not like. If I was being ultra-picky I would say it would have been useful to be able to write definitions for my themes on the software.

Ease of use, timely customer support throughout the process, monthly payments with the option to cancel at anytime, customer support was receptive to input to further improve the product

I can not recall any at this time. Nonetheless, they were minor issues and would not prevent me from using Delve in the future or recommending it to colleagues.

### "A must-use for collegiate qualitative research"

May 8, 2023

Pros

Delve was hands-down the best choice for my qualitative research to successfully complete my doctorate. Thank you to Delve for all that you do for your customers to make Delve so easy and accessible to use! If you're someone like me who is intimidated to begin qualitative research, watch Delve's tutorial videos, then use Delve! It's the software for you.

Cons

### "Delve makes qualitative coding a snap!"

January 12, 2022

5.0

Currently, for my doctoral dissertation qualitative case study research, I have compiled 16 interviews totalling 11 hours, which has been transcribed to 178 pages. In just one week of coding, I am half way through my initial coding, and recoding. I expect to complete my coding in the next week. Thank you, DELVE!

Pros

I have appreciated the ease and simplicity of DELVE which is amazing. Features include quickly dumping in my transcriptions, launching inductive codes with descriptions, as well as being able to rename and move codes around as needed. Additionally, the codebook that was automatically created is a godsend.

Cons

After two weeks of using DELVE, I cannot comprehend any software deficits at this time.

Reason for choosing Delve

Ease. Simplicity. Price. And, free trial was attractive.

### "Useful tool for interview coding "

October 18, 2023

5.0

I find the Delve tool simple and easy to use - I'll keep coming back when I have more projects lined up

Pros

I have used Delve a couple times to help me organize emerging themes and topics from interview transcripts and notes. I like that is is web-based and simple for my basic purposes. I also like that I can pay for one month when I need it and my previous projects are still in my account so I can pick up again as needed.

Cons

I expected there to be a more efficient way to import transcripts into a new project - I end up cut/pasting which works fine for my relatively few ~25 files but for higher volume I'd need to figure out a more efficient way.

### "Delve and my disseration"

May 15, 2022

5.0

I told my doctoral cohort about Delve and the ease at which it was to use. I coded over one hundred pages of code in about ninety minutes! I had spent more time than that trying to figure out the other type of software I was using prior. It was worth the money for the time it saved me in coding and looking at my data so I coul explain it clearly in my doctoral dissertation.

Pros

I had tried other methods of coding my information and it was cumbersome and confusing. I found Delve and it was use friendly. I was able to extract and organized my data in a way that I could understand it, manipulate it and it just made sense to me.

Cons

I did not find anything that I didn't like about Delve however I did not use it to its full capabilities...I am sure of that.

### "Delve for master thesis"

May 17, 2022

5.0

I can only recommend this software! Compared to using word or excel to code interviews, Delve is definitely worth the money.

Pros

I have used delve to analyze +60 pages of transcripts for my master thesis and it was indeed a game changer. The software was way cheaper compared to competing software and it made it very easy to code, analyze and export data. I have a few time contacted customer service and every time I have received an answer within an hour. Furthermore, their youtube videos on how to conduct a qualitative analysis are really worth watching if you don't have any experience in this type of analysis.

Cons

For the purpose of my thesis the software included everything that was needed.

### "We were hooked the minute we finished the demo."

February 9, 2020

5.0

We have made a few comments for future builds and have found the representatives to be very open to considering our suggestions. I look forward to working with Delve. I continue to find new ways to incorporate Delve into other workflows that would have been unthinkable for other products.

Pros

Delve is very easy to learn and use individually or as a team. Using Delve has shortened our time to process text for coding and organizing for presentations. Used with time codes, it can also shorten video editing times. We’ve used several other products and found Delve to be a perfect complement to our workflow. If you can believe it, we actually had been using MS Excel, finding other products in this category too expensive and complex for our needs. Delve has made this work fun again!

Cons

Delve does have fewer features than other products, but that’s also part of what makes Delve so powerful. Is this really a CON?

### "Simple to use and great for coding transcripts"

Very positive experience - it did exactly what I needed it to do.

Pros

The UI is very straightforward and simple to use. Coding text is very easy and tags are automatically compiled into a list for easy access. You can navigate/sort your transcripts by code, meaning it's easy to cross reference.

Cons

The ability to assign different colours to different codes would be useful.

### "A great platform to support thematic analysis!"

December 14, 2022

5.0

Really positive and supportive of research workflow and goals!

Pros

Delve is a great platform to support thematic analysis! Really easy to integrate with workflow and with other research applications. Over and above the intuitive UI is the awesome support from the Delve team in both demystifying thematic analysis as a whole, but also how then their platform can support you in undertaking your research!

Cons

Minor navigation tweaks (which could've been user error!) when using the platform to find key information.

### "Life-saving!"

March 28, 2022

5.0

Pros

For a first-time researcher like me, Delve made the process so simple and effective. It helped me save time that I might've wasted in trying to learn another software that wouldn't be as user-friendly. I also love the customer support! The team at Delve is extremely accessible !

Cons

It would like to be able to order the quotes within a given code in different orders, as well as nest more than three labels within a label. Those are very minor things, barely relevant. Overall, I loved the experience.
