January 30, 2021 5.0 This tool can really help me to engage my sites visitors in a proper and effective way, I use it to display announcements, coupons, online visitors but I know I will be extending my use cases once I start with my e-commerce site to provide honest social proof. This is a great alternative to any other social proof widget plugin you could find out there, I have researched about some in the past and I honestly preferred Evidence above all those, I love the look & feel this widget can provide and the platform user interface, although I think they can still improve it even more in future, so far it has everything you can expect from any professional social proof plugin and has a lot of integrations, just take in mind that it seems (at least to me) that lastly they're pushing updates slowly as I would prefer, however they still working in some improvements and pushing some new features time to time. Pros I love the user interface, I like the ability they give to their customers to customize almost everything about the look and feel of the popups and alerts, the widgets looks gorgeous! And it is pretty easy, simple and fast to implement in any site :) Cons I just wish the Evidence team could be even more active on the product updates, I mean they still continue rolling new updates to the platform however I don't feel like they're too much involved into this or at least not as quickly as I would personally prefer. It just has the best combination of being easy to use while also having virtually every feature the others have. The ability to use their tracking script to track website users and report on them in FOMO popups is very cool, and the interface is just super slick. Pros I was really wanting a social proof option that would allow me to display the number of people who have visited the current page over the last 7 days, or whatever period of time. I was surprised how many social proof apps did NOT offer this. But Evidence does! Not only that, but out of the 7 or so social proof apps I've used, none have been easier to use than Evidence. The interface is simple and reactive, and it takes no time to put a campaign together. Cons I wish there were more direct integrations with third party tools. Honestly, this isn't something that is terrible, but it's the one thing I wish there was more of. Most integrations seem to be based on webhooks or through Zapier, which is fine, but takes a little more setting up. And Zapier can get expensive very quickly. This drives more people to signup based on the total number of people engaging with the site. Pros I love the simple features that Evidence provides to generate interest based on the real visitors that come to your website. Even better, you can whitelabel this service for your clients and you can control all aspects of the popup, from color scheme to who it is powered by (YOU!). Cons The existing templates are well thought out but are limited when it comes to modifying it to your exact specs (name/location only). You can only pull certain types of data. Hopefully there are more options in the pipeline. This is a JS code you insert into your site. If you minify your site to speed it up, you'll run into issues. If you're a developer, this is a easy bypass but it's a headache for newbies who aren't hardcore coders. Though this is a issue, you can bypass this on landing page builders since they're optimized for speed to begin with. IF you're on WordPress, that is where you may run into issues. I found that the initial set up was easy, and I was over the moon with the fact that I could trigger Evidence using Google Tag Manager. Pros Evidence was easy to set up. I can use it without adding more plugins to my website i.e. I run it through Google Tag Manager. It works. Cons I think more design choices would be good to help me completely match the design of my business website. What more do you want? When your visitors see other visitors who are just like them taking action, they'll also take the same action. Evidence not only builds trust, it increases conversions. Integration with other apps is one of this apps greatest strengths. I've never ever seen so many integrations. Your favourite CRM, ESP, or shopping cart is readily available. Highly recommended! Pros Having never used Evidence before, and not fully understanding how it worked, amazingly, I had my first campaign up and running in 20 minutes. I didn't need to watch any onboarding videos as the UI is really intuitive. Just simple point and click. Add the Evidence pixel to your site and you're away. Adding the pixel in Wordpress is straight forward using the Headers and Footers plugin. And then inside Evidence,, choose whether you want it to fire on a every page or on a specific page. so you can add it to all pages in one go (this you need to do so you can control which pages actually use it within Evidence itself). Pros We struggled to find the right software for providing 'social proof' that our product was in demand. There are a lot of extremely expensive solutions and also cheaper sub par solutions. Evidence ran a great LTD campaign and we found them to be the best solution for us - very cost effective but a superb quality product. Really happy! Seeing that other people bought products provides a factor of trust to a consumer who is wavering on the fence. There are so many ways to show different kinds of social proof! Number of visitors, sales, booking, and new accounts are a few ways to use Evidence. You can also show offers, promotions, and make announcements. So many uses. Oh...and that scrolling tab!!! Cons This is a solid, useful product. While some people prefer white labeling (no Evidence branding) I find it to be more trust-worthy as a consumer, to see these numbers originating from Evidence. It's all incredibly intuitive and easy to set up, and is as bespoke as you need it to be for your particular use case. Cons Honestly, everything I need is included with Evidence, and it all worked straight out of the box. On the one occasion I got stuck, which was my doing, support were lightning fast in their response to help me get moving again.
