Using Radar Healthcare is a world apart from our old system. It's easy to roll out to different staff groups, and they can pick it up quickly. The system is simple to use but also gives us detailed information that helps us improve our practices. Being able to pull together lots of data and insights from various parts of the business into one place is great for bigger plans aimed at improving business continuity. It makes it much easier to present our findings to the board and senior leadership, which simplifies everything.

Pros

The analytics feature in Radar Healthcare is definitely my favourite part. It presents data in a really simple and understandable way. So, when we're preparing reports for our monthly safety and quality leadership meetings, or for the senior leadership team and board packs, having a clear graph makes it easy to spot trends, highlight where we're excelling, and identify areas that need attention. It basically gives us a nice, quick overview of how different parts of the company are performing.

Cons

Radar Healthcare offers a robust set of features that can greatly streamline workflows. However, for less tech-savvy member of staff, the interface may take some time to get used to. With a robust training package, staff can hit the ground running with limited disruption to day to day working.

"One of the biggest advantages of Radar Healthcare has been its ability to centralise everything into one system. Previously, managers had to juggle safeguarding logs, complaints records, accident forms, and investigation templates—often scattered across different systems or paper files. This made it difficult to track events and ensure nothing was missed. With Radar Healthcare, everything is in one place. The system allows incidents to be logged in real-time by staff on the floor, with all supporting documents, investigations, and follow-ups attached. Managers now have full oversight - from the initial report through to resolution - giving them confidence that nothing is slipping through the cracks. If a safeguarding concern is raised or an accident requires investigation, all the necessary information is readily available, eliminating the need to sift through multiple records. The ability to capture and manage incidents in a single platform has been a game-changer, streamlining processes and improving accountability across the board. Moreover, we saw a real shift in how our teams operate. For instance, managers told us that the number of out-of-hours calls from staff checking things had significantly reduced. Staff now feel confident they’ve completed everything correctly, thanks to the system’s prompts and structured workflow. Previously, they might have called late at night, worried they’d missed something, but now they have the reassurance that all necessary steps have been followed. It wasn’t something we initially set out to solve, but it ended up being one of the biggest benefits. Another game-changer has been Radar Healthcare’s bespoke dashboards. Before, we were extracting data into spreadsheets - it was just numbers on a page. Now, the dashboards bring that data alive, making it easier to analyse trends, benchmark performance, and even prevent issues before they happen. Managers who once had to sift through spreadsheets now have clear, actionable insights at a glance. For me, the real ‘lightbulb moment’ came when I realised Radar Healthcare could do more than just compliance. I was presenting at a conference about the new CQC evidence categories when a Radar Healthcare team member said, ‘We could do something with that.’ That’s when it clicked - we could use the system to capture positive feedback too. Within two weeks, we had built new feedback events for residents, relatives, and staff, introduced QR code posters to make it easy for people to share their experiences, and set up dashboards to track trends. It completely changed how we engaged with feedback and even led us to use Radar Healthcare for company award nominations. What started as a compliance tool became a way to celebrate excellence and drive positive change too."

Pros

One stop shop system Incredible level of oversight Visual analytical dashboards System that lets companies be agile

Cons

Nothing - they listened and worked through any problems with us

Radar Healthcare has transformed the way we manage systems within our organisation. As a complex NHS Trust, it has streamlined our processes and enhanced communication across all services. One of its greatest strengths is its commitment to customers - Radar Healthcare truly prioritises a partnership approach, making us feel like valued collaborators rather than just another client, which sets them apart from other suppliers

Pros

The flexibility of Radar allows us to change the software to meet our strategic aims, rather than having to change our aims to meet the requirements of the software.

Cons

Some of the elements, particularly the risk register, have required some workarounds to meet NHS reporting requirements (but even then, it has felt like a partnership trying to resolve the issues).

This is such a comprehensive system that it will likely take us a few more months to be fully utilizing it, but we are really looking forward to exploring all that is can do to support our organization. Radar Healthcare has great employees from sales to support to developers, and we are proud to be there number one US customer.

Pros

Everything! The delivered on every promise, the platform itself is completely customizable - and I mean they really can do anything. The support is fast and reliable, updates are consistent, and the implementation team stays with us for a long time. We have only been on the system for 4 months, but field staff love it and administrative staff are feeling better organized around quality of patient care.

Cons

Nothing! I have no notes for improvement.

Being able to move away from Spreadsheets and the opportunity to run analytics on the data we have , this provides so much more ability to learn from incidences and improve

Pros

User friendly , creating and tracking action plans

Cons

Reviewing risks can be a bit cumbersome. In addition it doesnt seem possible to set out over what time period target score can be achievedWhere internal parties are involved in an incident they can not easily view date that involves them

Reasons for choosing Radar Healthcare

User friendly and most closely met our requirements for a pan service incident and audit reporting solution

And really pleased that the system is providing you with ability the to learn from incidents and drive improvements in patient safety. In terms of your cons we already have plans to add in a target score date for risk (coming soon) and I'll ask your CSM to contact you around users (internal parties) accessing incidents that involve them as this is currently possible in Radar Healthcare and can be achieved in a number of ways. Incident management and complaint management are much more visible and it is easier to spot themes and make improvements. It is also easier to share lessons learned to a wider group.

Pros

From an administrative perspective, I like that we can customise the data captured to ensure that it reflects our needs, whilst still remaining easy to use for all users.

Cons

Some of the workflow and certain form changes, including notifications cannot be done by ourselves. We would also like the ability to have different risk matrices and/or the ability to manage site level risk registers as well as corporate ones.

Although we are still testing the module I am working on will have huge benefits for the team. Safe and more accessible file management, storage of information and the ability to see the complete workflow and processes of the event in one place (attachments, correspondence, action plans etc). I am unable to comment at this stage on the future reporting form RADAR but I am optimistic that this will be of great benefit to the team and the organisation. The RADAR team, in particular \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] have made this overall experience really good.

Pros

It is easy to navigate and find what you need when building your forms. It does what we had envisaged it would do at this stage. The support, patience and expertise that I have had from our RADAR team has been great and always professional and helpful. Weekly meetings, response to emails, availability to assist have all helped to makes this experience a good one.

Cons

Difficult to say at the moment as we are still testing the product and haven't had any issue as yet.

Excellent! Radar are providing great project support for a robust implementation process and are customer focused and responsive to our needs.

Pros

We were interested in incident reporting, risks, complaints and compliments and patient and staff feedback and found all of this and more with Radar! The system is not be too complicated, flexible for our set up and with excellent reporting and analytics. Loved the fact that Radar was already an approved system for the new national patient safety system LFPSE.

Cons

The risk module does not fully meet our needs without some judicious 'work-arounds'. This is on the 'to do' list for Radar to develop further. The audit module is also currently limited to 'yes / no' questions, but a second version is currently in the test stage. We are looking forward to these developments. We did not adopt the Workforce module as it did not meet all our HR requirements. There are better products in the market.

Reasons for choosing Radar Healthcare

We were looking to move from paper and excel based patient safety processes to an electronic quality and compliance system to enable us to gain a better understanding of what was happening across our organisation to impact on the quality of care we were providing. Radar was able to meet all our 'must have' module requirements but also had additional modules we are also implementing, for a fully integrated system.

While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.

How Capterra ensures transparency

Capterra lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. Capterra is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider's website.
