Asynchronous video interviews save a lot of time and give candidates the flexibility to answer when it works best for them. The platform is very intuitive and doesn’t require much explanation. Working with Hireflix to demo some new features was a great experience, and their future releases including supporting employers and hiring managers in the design of recruitment funnels and automation of screening was enlightening for us as an employer, and Hireflix as a provider. Pros The software itself has a simple interface and is very simple to use and deploy, and zapier integration is a must for us to build cohesive integrations to other parts of the hiring process. More than anything though, the infectious enthusiasm of the team to develop the product and involve clients in that journey means we're fully bought into the future direction of Hireflix and that today's product is only the beginning. Cons I generally love the concept of employers uploading video questions, if it's done right......but being forced to upload a video for every question is not ideal if you're either a: not particularly photogenic, or b: not particularly confident, as this just shows your company in a bad light. Also the 'prep time' for candidates were rather lacking in options Having reached out for support on this point, I received an immediate answer and workaround though the solution wasn't obvious/intuitive Reason for choosing Hireflix From signing up to the trial account to deployment, the support from Hireflix was fantastic and all but instant. Instead of scheduling dozens of first-round calls, we send a single Hireflix link, review the responses, and only invite the best candidates to a live interview. The video responses give us a much more authentic feel for each person than reading through AI-polished CVs and cover letters. It has become a core part of how we hire and I’d struggle to go back to the old way of doing first-round interviews. Pros Hireflix makes it incredibly easy to pre-qualify a large number of candidates without drowning in CVs and emails. The one-way video format lets us see how people communicate, think on their feet, and present themselves, so it feels far more genuine than text answers in a world full of AI-generated applications. I also like that everyone answers the same set of questions, which makes it much easier to compare candidates fairly and build a strong shortlist quickly. Being able to review videos in my own time and share them with colleagues has made our early-stage screening much faster and more consistent. Cons Nothing bad to say about the software, its great. On the other side of things, some candidates are still nervous about video, so a few good people don’t always show their best side in this format. Make sure to have calm intro videos to set the tone. Hireflix made the entire hiring process faster, more organized, and surprisingly personal. I was able to screen dozens of candidates efficiently and confidently hire the right person. It’s a tool I’ll definitely continue using. Pros I recently used Hireflix's video interview platform to screen candidates, and it made the entire hiring process dramatically more efficient. I went through about 50 resumes, had applicants complete video interviews through their system, and within a short time I was able to filter out poor fits and identify the right people to move forward with. The platform saved me hours of back-and-forth scheduling and made it easy to compare candidates side by side. It gave me a real sense of who each person was beyond their resume, and in the end, I hired a great candidate. If you’re hiring and want to streamline your process without sacrificing quality, I highly recommend Hireflix. Cons There wasn’t anything I disliked. The product is excellent and revolutionized our hiring process making it so much more efficient and better for eager candidates to jump right in without having to wait for calendar availability. I love that they pay attention to user feedback to keep adding features and that there aren't any uneccesary features. It's an easy experience for candidates, and they've included a lot of details that make candidates feel reassured like a note confirming we've received their interview, countdown timers, the questions in written format, etc. Pros The platform is extremely user-friendly. We were able to seamlessly include many members of our staff in our hiring process without having to create individual accounts. Sharing candidate interviews, notes, and information is so easy with shareable links. We also love the automated invitation and reminder system built in. Cons Honestly, nothing comes to mind. If really pressed, maybe not having a way to download and export interview notes. It is so helpful that we can filter candidates right in the first instance as we can ask main questions to those candidates and know first if they are a fit for the role or not. Plus, as you can set a time window to have candidates send the video interview, you can also evaluate how engaged/ interested those people are in applying for that job. Currently, I'm using hireflix also as a "talent pool" - for some roles we have a recruiting plan per month, which means that we can send hireflix to everyone and review it when hiring dates are close coming. Cons To be honest, I haven't found any downside of using hireflix so far. Reason for choosing Hireflix By the very first contact they were supportive and attentive to the customer. Absolute GAME CHANGER for me. It's streamlined, customizable. But most importantly it solved both issues listed above. I saved hours and hours (ultimately DAYS) of my life...but the video interview submissions allowed me to understand the "vibes" of an applicant, which is critical!. Tremendous. Pros What I like best about Hireflix is how easy it is to customize the process.For a real, actual example--I needed to truly know how well a potential hire knew the ins and outs of their specialty. I was able to adjust the settings to allow for 0 seconds of thinking time and no re-do's. While this may not be necessary for some, it was critical for me, as it allowed me to get an understanding of how innate & natural the interviewee's knowledge was. Cons Nothing. June 6, 2023 5.0 We are a small team of selectors (started with one and now two) and don't have enough capacity to cover with one-on-one interviews the number of candidates we receive so in order to narrow down our selection funnel we introduced video interviews at Hireflix. It helped us save time and also motivated candidates to research the organization while answering the questions (since they are related) which is not possible during the one-on-one. Pros The most helpful thing for our organization, after we started using Hireflix, was how it saves our small team's resources and helps select candidates that best match our profile. Especially when power outages were throughout Ukraine this winter, it helped both candidates and us to not feel threatened by the tight deadline and record/check answers whenever we had access to the internet. We have no intention of using a larger company, we love this partnership! Pros Before Hireflix, we would spend hours interviewing folks that didn't work out. We usually know in the first five minutes if a recruit is not going to work out. This would result in hours of lost productivity for our recruiting team. Now we can easily get the answers we need in a rapid process. Now that we've gone all remote, Hireflix is even more easy to use. The set up is incredibly simple, candidates find it easy to use, and we can spend our time focusing on our best candidates to bring in for the next round of interactive video interviews. Cons At times it can be hard to re-send an invite to a candidate through Workable. But, the team at Hireflix has been responsive to my feedback, and quickly helped me solve this problem.
