It was straightforward for me to use and it was equally simple for the applicants to leave their responses. It turned what might have been a nightmare into something that was a pleasure to use. Working with Hireflix to demo some new features was a great experience, and their future releases including supporting employers and hiring managers in the design of recruitment funnels and automation of screening was enlightening for us as an employer, and Hireflix as a provider. Pros The software itself has a simple interface and is very simple to use and deploy, and zapier integration is a must for us to build cohesive integrations to other parts of the hiring process. More than anything though, the infectious enthusiasm of the team to develop the product and involve clients in that journey means we're fully bought into the future direction of Hireflix and that today's product is only the beginning. Cons I generally love the concept of employers uploading video questions, if it's done right......but being forced to upload a video for every question is not ideal if you're either a: not particularly photogenic, or b: not particularly confident, as this just shows your company in a bad light. Also the 'prep time' for candidates were rather lacking in options Having reached out for support on this point, I received an immediate answer and workaround though the solution wasn't obvious/intuitive Reason for choosing Hireflix From signing up to the trial account to deployment, the support from Hireflix was fantastic and all but instant. It saved our small organization lots of time and energy reviewing candidates and only formally interviewing those we felt were the perfect fit. Pros As a small organization this was incredibly helpful to act as a screener that I could review in my own time before booking formal interviews. It was easy to use and worked very well! Instead of scheduling dozens of first-round calls, we send a single Hireflix link, review the responses, and only invite the best candidates to a live interview. The video responses give us a much more authentic feel for each person than reading through AI-polished CVs and cover letters. It has become a core part of how we hire and I’d struggle to go back to the old way of doing first-round interviews. Pros Hireflix makes it incredibly easy to pre-qualify a large number of candidates without drowning in CVs and emails. The one-way video format lets us see how people communicate, think on their feet, and present themselves, so it feels far more genuine than text answers in a world full of AI-generated applications. I also like that everyone answers the same set of questions, which makes it much easier to compare candidates fairly and build a strong shortlist quickly. Being able to review videos in my own time and share them with colleagues has made our early-stage screening much faster and more consistent. Cons Nothing bad to say about the software, its great. On the other side of things, some candidates are still nervous about video, so a few good people don’t always show their best side in this format. Make sure to have calm intro videos to set the tone. Hireflix made the entire hiring process faster, more organized, and surprisingly personal. I was able to screen dozens of candidates efficiently and confidently hire the right person. It’s a tool I’ll definitely continue using. Pros I recently used Hireflix's video interview platform to screen candidates, and it made the entire hiring process dramatically more efficient. I went through about 50 resumes, had applicants complete video interviews through their system, and within a short time I was able to filter out poor fits and identify the right people to move forward with. The platform saved me hours of back-and-forth scheduling and made it easy to compare candidates side by side. It gave me a real sense of who each person was beyond their resume, and in the end, I hired a great candidate. If you’re hiring and want to streamline your process without sacrificing quality, I highly recommend Hireflix. Cons There wasn’t anything I disliked. They have taken the guesswork out of this process and made implementing it into my workflow seamless. I particularly love the fact that pricing is very reasonable and is not based on the number of positions that you have. The customer service is OUTSTANDING. They are constantly checking in with me to see how the product is working but also to find out if there are any suggestions that I have that can make the tool even better than it is – which is hard to imagine since it is a pretty magnificent tool. I give this company, their customer service and the overall tool a strong recommendation. If you are thinking of adding in a video interview component into your processes – HireFlix is the tool. I demo’d all of them and you will not find a better tool, with this kind of functionality that is easy to use, with white glove level of customer service at this price. I ended up hiring a great medical assistant and may hire another based on the strong applicant pool. Pros The asynchronous video interview format saved me hours of scheduling and screening. August 23, 2022 5.0 HIreflix helped RunVermont reduce the amount of time each volunteer search committee member had to spend on our executive director search process. For example, we did not need to coordinate the schedules of multiple search committee members for the one-way interview round, as we each were able to watch the videos at our convenience. Also, the ability to increase the speed at which we reviewed the video interviews saved time without distorting the responses. Further, one-way video interviews helped us identify certain character traits (both positive and negative) that did not later surface during two-way conversations. Pros The Hireflix platform is intuitive and easy to use, and Hireflix customer support is top-notch. Hireflix helped RunVermont, the non-profit where I served on the board for 10 years, identify top-tier candidates early in the process of our executive director search. Having received many applications from all over the United States, Hireflix provided an excellent screening process that allowed our search committee to get a good sense of our candidates at an early stage in the process. While some may consider one-way video interviews as missing the interactive component that comes from a two-way conversation, the tool proved to be very valuable for RunVermont by allowing our committee to get a sense of our candidates' public speaking abilities, a significant piece of the RunVermont executive director job. Also, it allowed us to see how our candidates handled what for all of them (as we learned) was a first-time experience -- we valued how they reacted to a situation that is outside the comfort zone for most folks. Our committee had plenty of time to later enage our candidates in two-way interviews. Interestingly, we found that nearly all of our candidates appreciated the opportunity presented by the one-way video interview. Cons The RunVermont experience with Hireflix was positive all-around. First, I was hesitatnt to introduce videointerviewing into the process but it turned out to be a great decision that helped me spend more valuable time with quality candidates. Pros Hireflix is an amazing tool to interview people and save your time and energy to focus on your priorities. What I really liked was that I could see status update if people opened the invitation, if they started recording or not and I could manage the whole process from my account which was also super easy and clear. He offered his assistance with any other questions or feedback that I had. Pros Hireflix is very easy to use! The questions (including videos of our team) were created and launched within 10 minutes. The candidates then came back, we received auto-messages that the interview were complete, and we were sharing candidates with the hiring team on the same day. Cons I only have one piece of constructive feedback and that would be to be able to share candidates with other openings. If a candidate is better suited for a different job opening, it would be great to be able to "move" the candidate to that job so they could be reviewed alongside the rest of the candidate pool. Reason for choosing Hireflix I read another review online and decided to try it out. I'm so glad I did! I started with the trial and within in a week, I knew we needed it at Marleylilly. An extremely beneficial tool that has greatly sped up our time to fill with job openings. In addition, managers are thrilled we are saving them time with the hiring process, and candidates are appreciating how quickly we are able to send them the virtual interview link after they formally apply to our job postings. I love being able to invite candidates via email or send a public link. The rating system for each candidate questions was also helpful. I would never have had time in my schedule to sit down and interview over 100 candidates, but with hireflix it made it so easy to get the information I needed to asses candidates in a true interview-like manner. We are a small organization that was struggling to process hundreds of interviews with a very small team. We used to schedule 1-1 interviews using Calendly - this took up so much time and effort. I was hesitant to sign up for Hireflix at first because I thought that it would be too complicated to set up a new system and change our recruiting processes - boy what I wrong! My only regret is NOT signing up for Hireflix earlier. We are now processing interviews at 10x the speed. Hireflix's platform works incredibly well - it's amazing that such a simple and easy platform can do such a wonderful job at processing applicants. Their script function that turns interview responses into text is AMAZING. We had never seen that before. Just what we needed. Cons I can't think of anything that has caused issues with the software. We once had a question about how to use a feature and the team answered so promptly it was great.
