he software works as intended — fast, simple, and stable. Apart from the SSO and Microsoft Store issues, I can’t help but wonder where the catch is. So far, we’re very satisfied with it.

Pros

So far, it just works — easy to install, stable data streaming. A modern cloud solution with unmatched ease of use.

Cons

The fact that only one domain can be configured for SSO makes this feature unusable for us, as we manage four different companies. The SSO integration itself is also inconvenient, as a client-side SSO key file has to be imported for it to work. SSO is supposed to be a secure and simple login method, not one that requires distributing the same key to all users so they can manually import it when needed. Additionally, it would be very practical if the app were available in the Microsoft App Store, as this would eliminate the need to manually create a new package for every update in a managed environment.

My experience with LucidLink has been exceptional. Not only is the product a lifesaver and timesaver, but the support staff constantly surpasses expectations. Even on lower priority tickets I've submitted, the tech department gets back to me and helps me quickly resolve my concerns. They're patient, knowledgable and always helpful. And so fast!

Pros

I've been really happy with how LucidLink speeds up our project collaboration and team collaboration. It makes it so our team of editors can work anywhere in the world. It also helps with revisions - if an editor is out or sick and a revision request comes up, a different editor can step in and finish the ask. No need to download and upload files just to work or collaborate. No need to wait for a different editor to get back to their desk to share a project file. It's all there and all accessible 24/7!

Cons

This has since been resolved, but the installation process for LucidLink Classic was a nightmare on a Mac. There were many specific things that needed to be done to allow Lucid the permissions it needed to function as it was intended. Now, however, the new LucidLink installs quickly, easily, and efficiently.

Overall going from classic to new lucid link has been a breeze and I believe with a few minor changes the service can be phenomenal.

Pros

I love Lucid Links ability to give my team and I access to our media files. It has created a incredible system for me to manage and share files with our freelancers.

Cons

The new lucid link UI is something I think needs improvement. The overall ui from classic allowed me to have better control/understanding of the overall software. Additionally I find it much harder to migrate my cache due to it being limited to a command function

Pros

Ease of use. It’s easy to understand and navigate. No one needs a tutorial when cause it’s a very straightforward application.

Cons

When I had problems and contacted support, there were a lot of technical terms that I had a hard time understanding. Good thing the agent that I was talking to had a lot of patience.

Excelent, I'd work with LucidLink 100% any time I can. I've never work with a cloud-like app so fast and so efficiently.

Pros

The fast environment to work on, the great UX/UI of the app overall, the good system of recovery when accidental deletes.

Cons

Had some trouble with special characters like "´" or "ñ" and the fact that if it goes down (like when AWS went down) you are a bit dependent.

Opens on startup and no waiting times. I’m able to keep my work on a drive that’s reliable and always accessible. Easy to use too and the customer support is very helpful

Cons

The only bad experience I’ve had with LucidLink was that there was an error and the app didn’t want to open, but I believe that was a cache issue

Good but glitchy and not totally polished.

Pros

Works well enough, better than Dropbox overall for video editing but has its issues as well.

Cons

When I hit 1 TB of usage my service was completely cut off without any warning or explanation. It totally wrecked an end of day deadline I had.

Ease of use, speed and flexibility. Full HD video streaming/editing with the proper internet connection.

Cons

Setup and cache size needed at times. Can be tricky to get third party vendors to setup. Need a large high speed drive for cache drive.

decent, we are manually moving data ourselves as opposed to a canned solution, but again no white labeling and no discounts for MSP. Unless you can do unrealistic numbers of TB.

Pros

Speed and ease of use. The app is convenient but not unique.

Cons

As an MSP who could sell this to many clients we are very picky about who we convert from other solutions due to no MSP partner program at all. No whitelisting, no actual incentive to sell it to our clients.

I love the premiere pro integration and how easy and quick it is to edit videos directly from the cloud through LucidLink. There's no lagging and I can work on video projects with a team and remotely.

We call it dropbox on steriods. So fast and hardly any issues ever. seemless.

Occasional needs to recalculate itself. cost is creeping up to high figures now we're using more and more data.

I have been looking for a solution for migrating local data to the cloud for a long time. Normal s3 object storage does not offer such security in the form of file encryption and such quick access to files. Lucidlink enabled me to migrate business files to the cloud.

Pros

LucidLink enables the use of s3 object storage as a cloud file storage. Simple to install. Very simple in administering users and access shares. I use LucidLink with my own s3 object storage as the central company file server. Thanks to this solution, authorized employees have access to the necessary files. I also use LucidLink as a backup target. The perfect solution,

Cons

For starters, it's difficult to understand how to make the most of LucidLink. It seems that you can use many different file spaces simultaneously, but in practice it has not worked. It's best to use one file space on one device.

I'm a huge supporter of LucidLink, I've got a global team using it and we've been able to work more efficient than ever before. If you've got multiple users that need to access hot storage, lucidlink is a no brainer.

Pros

The peace of mind is the greatest strength of using LucidLink. No longer having to worry about whether you've got a file on your drive or having to work out what project file is the latest version. Having a central hub for all collaborators to work from is a game changer. Mistakes or inefficiencies noticeably reduced since swapping to it.

Cons

I think LucidLink could really benefit from monitoring tools. Being able to see who uploaded what files. It'll be great from an admin side to be able to track user usage within a filespace.

Quite impressed to be honest. It is a very robust cloud storage system that makes it easy for me to remotely work with large or small projects. I look forward to seeing how easy it is to work with others but so far so good!

Pros

The ease of use and overall responsiveness. The speed is impressive and controls are pretty straight forward.

Cons

It took a bit to talk to a live person but once I did they were able to answer my questions and help me troubleshoot my problems

FANTASTIC overall experience. Their support is top notch on the rare occassions we have had to use support,

The remote editing workflow simply works. It's been the Holy Grail of editing for a decade to be able to truly edit from content in the cloud. There have been many failures by other companies and LucidLink finally cracked the code even with very low bandwidth for very remote users.

Cons

There isn't much not to like here. If there was one thing, and this isn't even on LucidLink themselves, it is finding a suitable cloud provider to host content. Lucid offers a few and you have to REALLY ask some tough questions to determine if the Tier 1 or Tier 2 storage is right for your needs.

The possibility to have a could storage optimized for video projects is exactly what I was looking for my team. Pros

I've been using LucidLink for a little while now, and the thing that I love the most about it is the ability to have instant access to shared files when collaborating with someone, it really saves time in the long run not having to download/sync files etc. Also the interface is simple and easy-to-use, and feels like a very professional, slick application. ### "For when you hate traffic"

I love working from home. It saves me driving in traffic, expensive parking and being out of my house for 12 hours a day. It also means I can work any time of the day, so I can be there for my kids in the morning and evening but still meet all my deadlines.

Pros

LucidLink is simple and seamless for working with remote video. As a freelancer I can just log in, pin any important files and start work right away, editing on my home rig as if I was in the city in the office. Lucid breaks down large complex video files into packets in the background, so I don't have to wait for entire clips to load before I can access them.

Cons

Sometimes my internet connection slows down and this of course slows down my connection to Lucid.

### "Fantastic, works really well with our Kyno workflow!"

Pros

We did a test with both Dropbox and LucidLink. For our workflow LucidLink wins big, since it mounts on the computer desktop like a local drive, works extremely well with Kyno our video asset management software. Dropbox just didn't work for us. I should note we are only using proxies in the cloud at the moment. Very happy with LucidLink.

Cons

Before we purchased, it did take a bit to get connected to someone at the company, for questions I couldn't find online. However once we did connect, the service and support were excellent.
