Administrative Manager Accounting Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Our Firm Review" May 12, 2022 1.0 Sometimes when we e-mail with questions, we hate that it has to be assigned a work ticket and then we get an e-mail back saying go to this link to get more information or try this when what we really want is for someone to pick the phone up and give us a call. We feel like there is not alot of customer service real time interaction. Pros We like that we can see at a glance on our dashboard what work we have assigned to us as it comes in and the appropriate staff check in the projects. Cons The staff who have to scan the docs to Firm360 under the clients' accounts would like to have the option of using Folders on the Documents Tab to help organize the docs better...similar to what we had with another software company. I don't like that I can't run a better time entered report to calculate payroll hours to be paid. The staff doesn't like that when we print a tax return from one software program it doesn't talk to Firm360 to scan the TR doc directly to the clients' folders...that we have to save to desktop then scan to Firm360. Their support is fantastic and they are quick to respond. Also, they are incredibly patient when training. Our firm had to find a new CRM platform when our old one was no longer being supported and we tried another cloud based platform prior to Firm360 and it was riddled with issues. We kept with it for 2 years and just couldn't deal with it any longer. The team at Firm360 made the transition easy and even though we had just learned and gotten used to the former one, switching again to a new one was a lot easier than expected. Pros Their project management is great, it meets most of our firms needs and once we were fully set up, it has really increased our efficency. Cons Their billing portion could use some work. It would be great if their invoicing and statements were a little more personalizable. We can tell that a CPA was involved in the set-up/design of the product and that is very helpful. We also like that Firm360 is very active and dynamic and changing with new technology, and not in a way that is trying to sell additional products. They simply enhance their offering in response to client feedback. Very, very strong customer support. Pros The best experience to date has been customer service. They are incredibly responsive not only to questions, but also client feedback and suggestions. We have been amazed at this aspect. We asked a general question about an option that would make things easier for us. We received a prompt answer to our question and a question from Firm360 about why we were asking. Within 2 weeks they made a change to the entire platform incorporating our request into the software. Without even being asked. They seem to recognize that other clients may have the same issues and work to make changes and improve the product every month. Cons It takes some work to set up the product and do so efficiently. Like anything, you get out of it what you put into it. Be willing to think about how you want processes to work before setting up the structure in Firm360. We have found that rather than simply setting up our Firm360, we are evaluating why we do certain things and if they are even necessary. In the end, this is a good exercise and pay dividends, but we have found that you should be prepared to spend time thinking about your processes and why they are in place before incorporating them into Firm360. But perhaps we are/were more inefficient than other firms. We also liked the document management product we are using (FileCenter) a little better (scanning, editing, etc), but Firm360 does have document management in place, and I suspect that over time the scanning and editing (currently you edit thru Adobe) will improve. It was a minor issue for us. Reason for choosing Firm360 We felt like this was the best overall fit for us. We really wanted to evaluate profitability of clients and projects and felt time, billing, invoicing and reporting was very strong. We also liked the portal and ease of use from the client's perspective. Fast. Secure. Unlimited storage. Easy for clients. We also read many reviews about their fantastic customer support and even though we went into things knowing that, the customer support still exceeded expectations. Review Source LA Leigh A. We really do love the features we do use and the fact that we can grow into it so much more because it has so much to offer. Pros We shopped for a long time before choosing 360. Once we found it and talked with their staff, we instantly felt all the niggles and reservations disappear. We knew this was the program for us, and it has been such a godsend to our practice. We regret nothing. You won't either. Cons The most difficult thing is having to change how you run your practice to incorporate the program. Change can be hard, and setup takes time, but it's worth it in the end. Any struggle you have with the software is either misusing it or the staff can add it as a feature pretty quickly. They're very responsive in either case. Office Manager Accounting Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Can't operate without Firm360" May 12, 2022 4.0 We now have a view of pending and closed projects, how much time is being spent on a client, and all those other pesky management dynamics that keep your business' "black hole" to a minimum. Pros The software is incredibly easy to learn and use. Firm360 staff work hard at fixing issues quickly and are very responsive to feedback. Cons The report and search functions are still in the early days and need to be fleshed out. Right now many reports have to be exported to csv then created in excel. The search/filter functions aren't available on all input fields. There is no true integration with Outlook. Reason for choosing Firm360 I looked at pretty much every software out there that does Practice Management. We originally were going to go with a Thomas Reuters' product since it would integrate with their accounting and tax software but then they yanked it off the market. Firm360 checked all the basic requirements we have for any software: security, support, and stability. The ease in use and the fact it could grow with our business without additional costs is what tipped them over into the win column. When you switch everything to one single system there are going to be small features that you would like to have. Cons A teeny-tiny quirk of the timer - when using the timer, if I go off the page to work in another window, the timer stops moving, although it's keeping proper time in the background - I can't come back to the window to see how much time has passed. As we transition our technology to accommodate employees, F360 is aiding us in that process. Pros The time management feature is easy to set up and easy for staff to use. The report and billing features allow us to track in real time what our employees are doing, and we can then bill clients quickly and efficiently. Cons One feature that could be improved is creating a report feature that allows all users to see a summary of their time over a specified period. The client realization reporting is wonderful. Pros The best feature for me is project management. I am easily able to keep all of my client's work up to date and never forget a step. Cons I'm having a hard time coming up with what I like least about Firm360. Honestly the only things I can think of are very minor. Owner Accounting Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Newly onboarding" November 11, 2022 3.0 I have hopes that it will turn around, but so far... I can't edit documents in the document folders (didn't know this when I bought it), I can't link to QBO for billing (didn't know this when I bought it), but I like the time tracking and realization functions. Pros time tracking... but this isn't much better than quickbooks. Cons The onboarding process has felt clunky, and it seems that the Firm360 person doesn't understand my questions a lot of the time. November 10, 2022 5.0 They continue to develop it into a more useful tool and open to suggestions of feature improvements. Pros Ease of use, client/contact management system, simple time tracking, integrated document management. Cons Transition was difficult do to amount of files moved and time entries imported, but helped us along the way. Reason for choosing Firm360 Built in partnership with a small accounting firm and very open to new ideas and features.
